I don't know of any way to expand the comments, but I was saying that Chrom getting the finishing blow does change the ending.

Oh, but I didn't actually beat it twice, I just did the final chapter again and chose the other option.

I would be fine with Avatar coming back if it was...different. Like, in my run, Avatar married Chrom, so Chrom's reaction is just "Hey, it's my wife. What now?" And that's just dumb. Plus, when you think about it, if you recruit Morgan (M), Avatar can't be dead or Morgan can't exist. I guess there could be separate timelines but meh.

It was the same as the cutscene at the beginning where they find Avatar, but the mark of Grima is gone from Avatar's hand and Chrom adds an extra "Welcome back. It's over now" at the end.

I didn't tear up, it just got me a bit emotional :P. It was at the end after I didn't let Chrom deal the finishing blow, and basically everything that transpired thereafter (except the cutscene at the very end, that was bs).
