  1. because of your generous donation i will confess to you my sins

    And I quote:

    "Trolling/Spam

Sarcasm with no benefit to the conversation other than to irk people"

    "Inappropriate topics and offensive comments."

"Pointless post in serious discussion topic."

    "Chain-letter spamming."

    "Necroposting, spam, trolling."

  2. If I remember correctly there was one in the General forum some time ago. It was a bit boring though because everyone answered with the "I hate politics so I'm unidentifiable," as memory recalls.

Thus the fun in politicizing folk.

    >I hate politks!1!!

    >>Why

    >(American) Democratic and Repub are shit!

    >Doesn't matter to me! As long as I get to have muh freedoms!

    >>But X,Y and Z!

    >Oh shit!

Yes, this is how things play out in my head. With greentext

  3. I am willing to bet a majority of the people on this forum are left-leaning to a fair degree. I haven't seen a wide amount of the irritating figures that seem to infest forums (heavy-slanting anarcho-capitalists and libertarians, etc.), but then there haven't been any topics raised on that regard. So who knows, maybe I secretly hate some of you and just don't know it yet.

A bit unrelated, but an interesting topic for serious discussion maybe just asking people where they stand politically, socially and ergonomically. If they don't know, we can tell them what they are help them find out where they stand.

I'm not a Tearing Saga Shill bent on destroying this community by injecting politics into a generally apolitical forum

  4. Zi Zeon

The Space Frontier of Zi Zeon is a massive, genial nation, renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.449 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Metatron. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government seeks peaceful forum with terrorists, abortions are routinely performed in Zi Zeon's hospitals, the new hit series "Zi Zeon's Got Trauma" has corporate executives fleeing the country, and all beauty contests have been banned. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zi Zeon's national animal is the Human, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Zum.

    Neue Zeon

The Armed Republic of Neue Zeon is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Conflict Gray with an iron fist, and notable for its irreverence towards religion. Its compassionate, cynical population of 1.287 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Luna City. The average income tax rate is 93%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, Neue Zeon has one of the largest offshore wind farms in the world, and toddlers are wielding machine guns in the name of national defense. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Neue Zeon's national animal is the Crabion, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Neue Zum.

  5. It's a franchise. Money is made off of it with no regard to the status or standards that Fire Emblem has been known for. You're on point with pretty much everything. They will change things that players of the series might not like if it can get them another "ten thousand sales". Looking at this new game, I'm just expecting "just some medieval age game with tactics". I wouldn't say it could be confused for an FFT game, but if you can say it can be seen as an FFT, that shows something. As for the quality of the series- I've played 7~10 before 2~6. 7~10 were just games to me. Played them, had fun. That's it. 2~6 (Well, more 2~5) I LIVED. The complexity of the stories and the characters are FUCKING AMAZING. Art? Mainstream is starting bother me. I'm tired of the generic anime look. Usually, I can get past art styles and that's ONLY if the story and characters are worth it. E.g. Gundam, but I'm not going to go off now. Hard not to bring up other things when talking about mainstreaminess.

    Also, this. It's worth mentioning:

"It’s being made by and for otaku whose field of reference has never strayed from the otaku world, and with an audience that so insistently demands the same old shit over and over again, why would the otaku on the production side ever bother breaking out? The industry and the people who consume its products are stagnating together."

Quote about anime, but applicable to any industry with an audience. Especially video games.
