  1. It really seems that on maddening/NG, S+ ranks will not be feasible unless you literally only train 1 skill or have a knowledge gem on the entire game
  2. I trained her budding talent only to never use it since she pretty much always did more damage with just her spells
  3. I hardly did extra battles outside of paralogues and rare beasts, and the difficulty felt fair. Late game units can get pretty stacked on speed; 44 speed assassins could double pretty much everyone on my team and warriors could 1/2HKO all but my beefiest members which were edelgard and wyvern!petra. Only thing is the game gives you so much to work with that if you use your battalions correctly you can easily cc a pack and pick them off easily. Mages also dont have to worry about conserving their resources and when they get more spells they can just go crazy with their strongest spells which makes dealing with troublesome generics easy. Lysithea was basically an on demand "delete this unit" button to be specific. It felt better than awakening hard at least post timeskip, which is fair since lunatic hasn't been released yet.

  5. Actually i'm just an idiot lol, I thought lys's magic was capped since she hadnt gotten any in a few levels and the bar was filled, but it turns out it was just bag rng since I dinged 51 magic without the renown boost. I just wasn't used to seeing her not get magic...

  7. Is the max stats page inaccurate? It looks like non hp stats are capped at 50, 55 with the renown statues. Is there supposed to be some other way to raise your caps? My Lysithea is at 50 Magic and not getting anymore, so I wanted to see if there's a way to increase caps so I don't waste levels. Edit: nvm i was just getting bad rng lol
  8. Is the max stats page accurate on the main SF page? My lysithea is hitting 50 mag and It looks like the bar on her stat page is nearly filled even though the cap is supposed to be in the 80s. Is there a limit break skill in the game?
  9. For black eagles, which route is the 4th route and which is standard BE?
  10. So from what I know, each class gets a skill that you can keep permanently after you master it, but also have skills inherent to that class. For example, if I go through mercenary and get vantage as a mastery skill, then go to swordmaster, will vantage take up 1 of the 3 slots allotted for class skills? Also since some classes come with 3 class skills, does that mean you can't use any of your previously unlocked mastered abilities with that class or can you take out innate abilities?

  12. So after accidentally deleting my lunatic save on ch21, I quit for a few months in rage. However with the new game coming up, I want to finish the game just for completion's sake. I'm open to using all the path bonuses including dread fighter and dark flier and free dlc's (picked up witch from anna's gift), but wont be grinding. That being said, what corrin build would you recommend and how should I use the dlc classes?
  13. Alright, i'll probably use the first set of pairups and use percy as a zerker. Is there a way i could fit Nina in here in case Niles gets screwed and I need someone to abuse pass for endgame? My only seal usage so far (chapter 11) is the heart seal on avatar to reclass to wyvern and a heart seal on jakob to reclass to wyvern, which I feel was a mistake given your suggestion on his reclassing paths. I wasn't really planning on using dwyer/kana, but could you explain why avatar x jakob is a bad pairing for them out of curiosity? And I probably won't be using keaton, pairing camilla and niles instead, though I don't know how much that hurts Niles's own performance. I probably won't be using Beruka either, as my Effie already has alot of exp dumped into her. I'm thinking of either using a partner seal to start working on her axe rank early or promoting her to a great knight.
  14. the only units i had planned to use as pure pairup bots were charlotte and arthur. I'm not sure if i should start getting supports on camilla and niles right now, or hold out until i can get camilla with keaton and work with niles x beruka immediately.
  15. I'm currently about average on nile's strength, but he's only level 12 at the moment so its hard to tell for sure. I've pretty much already delegated arthur to a effie pairup bot since i didnt do a good job of giving him exp in the early chapters so he's pretty weak right now. I will be using azura, but wasnt really planning on pairing her with anyone since she wouldnt have much use as a pairup bot or in combat over abusing dances. And I was probably thinking of dropping one of the pairs listed above for staff bots. On my hard mode run, I used Forrest and Felicia, so I was thinking of doing the same.
  16. Just passed chapter 10 on conquest and I figured it was about time I started actually planning my pairings. So far I was thinking of doing either option A: +str -luck wyvern MU x Jakob Leo x Felicia Xander x Charlotte Effie x Arthur Silas x Selena Camilla x Niles Percy x Sophie and Elise and Azura would be unpaired Or option B: MU x Jakob Leo x Felicia Xander x Charlotte Effie x Arthur Silas x Selena Camilla x Keaton Niles x Beruka Which would you say is the more optimal set? I was also going to throw out a pair or so in favor of staff bots for the later chapters, but i'll have to see who gets rng screwed first
  17. I actually did a birthright lunatic run and found saizo stronger than kaze when late game rolled around as there are so many physical units that kaze couldn't really do shit to. His poor defence growth really caught up to him and he was getting nearly 1 shotted all over the place. I find kaze easier to train earlier on, but between both units with a good amount of investment, I think saizo is stronger. Kaze is easier to use because he gets more experience early on and feeds on mages for free experence.
  18. Usually kaze because of availability. Though I always pick saizo whenever I can because he's cooler to me.
  19. Revelation sucks so far in gameplay even compared to birthright. So many maps are drawn out with pointless gimmicks and end up taking way too many turns. The worst offender so far has been the ice chapter, where you spend like 30 turns breaking the ice to make sure you get all the loot, and smashing the pathetic enemies with corrin and hayato because they're the only useful units you have at that point. At this point, even having the whole cast together doesnt even feel as exciting as it first did since I've already seen them all twice playing through the other routes.
  20. Oboro!caeldori has better bulk than hinoka!caeldori and the same str/skill/spd iirc. However, hinoka!caeldori has better growths and will cap out str earlier, and also passes down red hair. Either of those make a very strong caeldori. Most people use selena, but its pretty shit gameplay wise since both are lacking strength and neither give it.
  21. Gameplay wise, elise was super fun to use. With a forged tome to patch up her low skill, she nuked harder and faster than any other unit I had except corrin, and her horrible defences made her require thought on positioning so that she pretty much never gets hit.
  22. Pretty disappointed with revelations lunatic so far. So many units are useless that it feels like FE12 again, your few strong units stomp everything, encouraging low manning, and some of the map gimmicks are downright irritating, like the ice chapter with zola. Like why have players spend 50 turns breaking ice to make sure all the drops are obtained? I benched units in birthright and conquest lunatic because there were too many units I wanted to use, but in revelations, seeing base units tick for 2 damage on their recruitment chapter is pretty off putting. The only thing most units can do on recruitment is 2RKO mages and plink fighters and savages, and catching characters up is a nightmare considering enemy stats compared to your own. Eventually I gave up on trying to use different units and started steamrolling the chapters with prepromotes, royals, and corrin. I just finished 16+17, and even though the combined chapters was a little unexpected, base xander with a speed pairup and a corrin that's bound to be fed at this point just demolishes everything. Honestly this route feels more like awakening than birthright lunatic ever did. I hope endgame gets better like it did for birthright, because this route had so much potential in story/atmosphere, but im pretty unimpressed so far, both with the story and gameplay.
  23. What's your team? Can't really give a reliable strategy without knowing what units you're using. I'd say in general, Effie with an Arthur pairup and a javelin can solo the archers to the right, and Nyx can handle the left side oni's well as long as she doesn't get 1 shotted (pretty sure base Nyx can survive 1 hit). Niles should be on ballistas the first few turns wittling down ninjas and defense seal lancers, then eventually split off to kill sky knights. the opening on the right can usually be covered by Corrin, but again, that depends on your build. Once the water drains, make smart use of Azura and Elise's freeze staff - they're crucial for finishing the chapter while getting all the houses. Also use food bonuses - defence, strength, or speed are good bets depending on what you're currently lacking. Tonics also help alot, and are very cheap for what they do. If anything else, use the Master Seal to promote Niles or Selena into Bow Knight, the extra movement helps alot in this chapter.
