Wasn't Act 6 new, like a bonus or something? Is it that hard? Now I'm worried. 

Also even I can see that the "main" cast has pretty solid units- this is gonna be a fun game! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

Any recommendations? I think Mage!Kliff is going to be strong enough to beat the boss, but I worry about getting there first (damn archers)... What about you? Did you finish the game already?

Eh, not far really. I'm at the end of Act 1, stopped just before Desaix's battle. 

Yes, that's what I hear most of the time. I think it's probably the best way to go about a MU.

They can't be too important since it can  ruin the story (as seen with Corrin, Kris, and arguably Robin, taking the spotlight from Chrom in the end) as they usually act as a black hole that bends the story and other characters to be in the spotlight . They can't be too insignificant, else they'll lack agency and there won't be much use for them. This is sometimes criticized with Mark. 

So in this kind of scenario then it's more a question of stricking a balance when it comes to plot involvement and relevance. Like making them some supports but not too much and giving them a role in the story but nothing too big: basically a side character, just like you said. 

I see. Too bad for Clive. And well, short games aren't necessarily a bad thing. There something that's been bothering me, and it was the rumors of... an avatar. *cue dramatic music* Of course they weren't founded, and IS wouldn't have kept it a secret, that's dumb, but sadly... I'm a self-insert trash and can't help wishing we could have been a smol, customisable villager. 

But with the tragedy that has been Corn and, before them, Kris, (I think Mark & Robin are defendable) IS showed us that they have a hard time executing this well within their stories, to the point it left some players bitter, wishing it won't never used ever again. Your thoughts?

I already have, actually! As much as I love the new games, playing Echoes is refreshing. Even for all its lost story potential in terms of story and character execution, I had fun with Fates' gameplay for example. But yes, they definitively could have tweaked the level design. And by "minor issue", do you mean

And that's sad, because they are the only newly implemented character that I know of yet (as I haven't played Gaiden) and I feel like IS messed that up. But if it's only one unit, fine I guess? I also heard that the game is short and that Clive has recieved negative feedback as well, is it well-founded?

What have I missed during my long absence?

Oh, and have you played Echoes? If so what do you think?
