  1. Hey, please check the FE7 tag team thread. You must give the save file to someone.

  2. Sure, I'm interested. I'd like to try the Redux Hack, but some other suggestions I have are the FE5 Blume Patch and the FE4 Shin Patch (although, the Blume Patch does have some serious balance issues).
  3. I have also requested access (andrewhimebaugh1).
  4. The level ups aren't the problem; in Lyn's Mode, Rath starts with C bows instead of B, and he'll probably still be at C by the time HHM rolls around, so he can't use the Brave Bow for a while. Not really a big deal, but still.
  5. Glad to see this is still a thing. I'll vote for Hard Mode; I think it's more interesting. I'm also fine with playing Lyn Mode to get all the gaiden chapters (even though the only character we have who's playable in LHM is Rath, and LHM actually makes him worse).
  6. I'm less busy recently, so I can join if you need another person. I could take Battle Before Dawn if everyone else wants to avoid that chapter.
  7. I actually never realized the prayer sword could be abused. Thanks, I should try that out sometime.
  8. Huh, this might be a noob question, but I thought that we decided that Azel was never promoting. Since Lachesis joins two chapters later than him at about the same level, how is she promoting if he's not?
  9. Thanks for the help! I tried using the (J) (VROM) version, and the weird stats are gone and I was able to give Leif Astra (not that it's terribly useful on him due to his 2 skill...). Anyway, I'll try it out to see if Chapter 5 glitches up or not.
  10. So, I have just started hacking FE5, and I opened it up in Nightmare. The first thing I noticed was that the numbers for the base stats/growth rates are completely insane: However, since I have run the rom before without any problems, I don't think too much of it. I then attempted to give Leif Bargain: I apply the changes and save the rom, and then I try playing the game to see if the change registered. Unfortunately, it didn't: Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
  11. I think that Michalis should move up, even if it's only one space. He honestly is a more useful unit than the character right above him (namely Midia). Look at their stats: (Reclassing Michalis to Paladin for comparison's sake.) Michalis Lv 12 44 HP, 18 Str, 1 Mag, 22 Skl, 22 Spd, 2 Lck, 18 Def, 8 Res Midia Lv 16 39 HP, 17 Str, 1 Mag, 21 Skl, 20 Spd, 10 Lck, 20 Def, 7 Res So...Right now, Midia has +8 luck and +2 defense, but Michalis has +5 HP, +1 strength, skill, speed and resistance. Midia's loss in speed is going to hurt her especially, because she'll be getting doubled by Sorcerers and Mage Dragons. However, Michalis's growth rates mean things will get better for him soon. Now let's move to the final chapter. Because of the BEXP dragons give when you kill them, combined with the fact that some/most of your units should be max level by now (and therefore shouldn't be getting kills, since that's wasting EXP), and Michalis's below-average level means he's getting more BEXP, I think it's reasonable for Michalis to gain 3 levels each per chapter, which would put him at Lv 18 (I'm not 100% sure if this is accurate, but I think it works). Michalis Lv 18 50 HP, 22 Str, 26 Skl, 24 Spd, 3 Lck, 21 Def, 8 Res Midia Lv 20 42 HP, 18 Str, 1 Mag, 24 Skl, 23 Spd, 11 Lck, 20 Def, 7 Res Now the gap between Midia and Michalis is even more pronounced, with Michalis having +8 HP, +4 strength, +2 skill, and +1 defense, and resistance. Meanwhile, all Midia has to offer is +8 luck. I should also mention Midia's luck is far from stellar, meaning she's susceptible to critical hits too. Because of this, I strongly recommend moving Michalis above Midia.
  12. Hmm, I guess putting Shanna at Level 15 with a support with Deke was pretty unfair, since I forgot to consider flying utility. Let me compare Tate at Level 8 Vs. Shanna at Lvl 9: Tate Lvl 8 Slim Lance No Supports HP: 28 Atk: 13 Hit: 107 AS: 15 Avo: 36 Def: 8 Crit: 11 Shanna Lvl 9 Slim Lance No Supports HP: 23 Atk: 12 Hit: 105 AS: 17 Avo: 44 Def: 7 Crit: 10 Yeah...now the case for Tate>Shanna has become stronger. Shanna lost her Hit and Crit lead, and is now losing in everything except Speed and Avoid. I've already gone over why Tate only gets better from here on out. Not to mention Tate's Atk lead is useful since we're using Slim Lances (using anything else hurts Shanna's AS lead). Err...what about chapters like 12, 16, and 20A, where the chests are on opposite sides of the map? Naturally, you can't just have Astor run all the way to the left side once he's done taking from the right; that hurts efficiency. The obvious solution is to use Chad, but according to you, he's useless once you get Astor, because...well, you never really gave a reason. Meanwhile, Tate, Milady, and Zeiss don't render Shanna useless, but, boy, do they outclass her. Since they have superior stats, there's no real reason to use Shanna over them (by Chapter 13, you will have Tate and Milady, so they can take care of any situations like the above, where you have to go in two directions). What do you think? Right, that's why pegasus knights are higher than thieves. I'm not disputing that. What I am disputing is putting Shanna above Tate purely becuase she joins earlier. As for Chad's items, I can see him getting everything in Chapter 7 (all the treasure's in the northeast, so just have him move that way with a bodyguard), most of the treasure in Chapter 6 (have him move along the eastern hallway and he'll get 5/7 of the chests) and...yeah, I guess the chests in Chapter 3 should be skipped on an efficient playthrough, but you're only missing out on 3k, a Halberd and whatever is in the 2 chests in Chapter 6. But, besides, couldn't the same be said about Shanna? Surely she can't be expected to visit all the villages and ferry all your units between Chapter 2 and 11, can she? And, as stated earlier, Astor also shouldn't be expected to nab all the treasure for the rest of the game without Chad's help.
  13. But the Isles are just one part of the game. What about parts like Ilia route and the Endgame, which are dominated by lance users? Certainly Tate performs much better there than Astor (in terms of combat), right? It's especially bad for Astor in the Endgame, since he can't promote and can't double Wyvern Lords (unlike Tate).
