  1. Yes, they are. I have not played Hugo's route, but I couldn't see any disgust to him by playing Yunica's story. Well, mid day break is over already, so bye bye.
  2. One of the points Origin made become my first finished Ys game. Though in general the soundtrack of the older Ys games is so much MUCH better than the latest ones. I started a bit Oath of Felghana yesterday, and gameplaywise this one feels similar to Origin which is definitely good.
  3. Space Jam sequel will be released in the cinema today. I have not seen any previews about it, so I am kinda interested in the reviews. My opinion was that no classic movie like this needs a remake after almost a quarter decade. However I love Looney Tunes, so I am still interested, rather curious quite a bit in this.

  5. Thanks! Weather is still literally pissing rn though.
  6. The road next to my home has turned into a lake due to the rain. I almost thought I'd be saved from the rain or worse, but it looks like I celebrated too early. The flood rain storm just has begun. It will become an unpeaceful night.
  7. I finished Ys Origin (Yunica's story) today. First of all it has been my first Ys game I have finished yet because unlike the others this gave me the motivation to do it. The controls were better than in I, the 2D graphics are more clear than 3D for me, a short but well enough told story only focussed on the essential. The bosses were hard, even on easy mode, after taking a bit time to see their attacks, they were absolutely managable even for a Ys noob as I am. However the most notable aspect of the game is its music. I only have played a bit of Ys 8 (whose OST didn't impress me), but Origin's OST was a masterpiece. Only the music was already motivation enough for me to play it through. I needed nine hours (retries not included which would made about eleven), but even for being short, I can absolutely recommend this game to all who like action RPG dungeon crawlers with a marvelous OST. Overall this was the perfect Ys game for me. I will do the two other stories as modes an other time since I do not feel like to replay the exact same game even if with slightly different gameplay. Instead I am going to continune the series with Oath of Felghana. rating: 8.25 / 10
  8. Break time, so time for a little Ys Origin review: First of all it has been my first Ys game I have finished yet because unlike the others this gave me the motivation to do it. The controls were better than in I, the 2D graphics are more clear than 3D for me, a short but well enough told story only focussed on the essential. Having different characters than Adol was also a refreshment for me. Here are a few themes: Ys Origin OST - Scarlet Tempest - YouTube Ys Origin - Music: Scars of the Divine Wing - YouTube Ys Origin OST - Beyond the Beginning - YouTube I must say of all played Falcom games this had the best OST...maybe tied with Trails of Azure. I needed nine hours (retries not included which would made about eleven), but even for being short, I can absolutely recommend this game to all who like action RPG dungeon crawlers with a marvelous OST. This game gave me the mood to make me continuning the series with Oath of Felghana. PS: I will do the other characters's story an other time, same goes for Time Attack (assuming it's a boss rush mode)
  9. Beaten Ys Origin. Will give a short resume later since I'm at work actually rn. Glad I could beat in time before the main business starts, even if it took me some time to understand how to damage final boss's second phase.
  10. Time to finish Origin! (even if it means using part of my homeoffice)
  11. nice 8 Ys Origin OST - Genesis Beyond the Beginning - YouTube
  12. Made it to the final boss of Ys Origin. Unlike in the first half of the game I can beat the bosses in my first attempt now because I learned to become patient and take the time to figure out their moveset and attack patterns. I will save the final boss for tomorrow morning since I'm feeling a bit tired rn and Idk how long the epilog will be. Regardless how the final boss and epilog will turn out, this game is great, especially the soundtrack. I will defintely play Oath of Felgana after this since this game shall be very similar gameplaywise and musicalwise.
  13. Thanks! It's not a boss easy to learn unlike most others in which you know after 2-3 attempts their patterns and know how to dodge their attacks. Thanks, I will! Reached the final dungeon in Ys Origin. It took me a while to figure out how to unlock the boss before because I did not know that I had to trigger certain events to unlock the boss's door. I was desperatly looking for a missed chest or destructive wall till I came up with the solution on my own. Cost me almost an hour. Gonna continue tomorrow since I'm feeling stressed and sweat rn. I dunno if I'll be able to finish it tomorrow. I think to continue the series with Oath of Felgana next and not Ys VIII since I enjoy the 2D dungeon crawler Ys. Ys VIII is too plot heavy and long imo. Being 3D is not an advantage either for me. I think to focus on the nostalgic Ys games first (barring I for being too hard for me).
  14. Weather forecast for the upcoming days does not look hot at all. Massive rain with risk of flooding is forecasted, probably a few km south of my area. Still it does not look good at all for some parts of my country. Flooding already happened a few days ago. Summer has been such a bit** so far. Extremely wet and also cool.
  15. Falcom music is very good at worst in general 8.5 Shadowy Partners (Olive Ocean) - Kirby Star Allies Music - YouTube
  16. Oh, page 3000 was reached. Anyways I fought the probably worst boss in Ys Origin yesterday, the sand monster. Not only that the controls were annoying since I had to move against the direction of the swallowed sand the entire time, it also ended up in a bullet hell by all the thrown projectiles at me. It was a very chaotic, so unfun boss. However after like ten attempts I could beat it with me having about 10 HP left. I felt satisfied!
  17. Yeah, just found it out. Had to an equip a special item for that. Thanks for the fast reply nontheless!
  18. Ys Origin question: Why don't do these things disappear after I have defeated them and respawn infinitely instead? Edit: Nv, found out what to do here.
  19. That's how I also feel about open world games. The world is so huge. Without having any navigation I'd totally get lost. Thankfully it has a similar quest system as Xenoblade Chronicles where the next destination is shown, so I don't feel get lost yet. If I hate one thing in videogames, then running in circles. However I'm optimistic it won't be the case here. Nah, I never think to play a Zelda game on an increased difficulty. I just thought the extra content would offer some appealing missions. Though we will see... Anyways time to start gaming day, so bye bye for now!
  20. Thanks for this answer. I haven't could have my mind yet since I am still in the early game. Just started with the mission to find all four divine beasts. First target is just to beat the game since me playing and finishing a Zelda game is an absolute rarity. First impression is good so far. The controls kinda overran me at first due to its large amount of actions, but all the riddles have been managable on my own so far.
  21. quite chilly song, enjoyable to listen to 7.5 Tube Town - Kirby's Epic Yarn - YouTube
  22. alright Btw is it recommemd to get the DLC for this game?
  23. Ah, thanks! I had some hopes this game also would have a FE related quest.
  24. Got awake way too early, but whatever... Anyways question: Do side quests in Breath Of The Wild have references to other Nintendo games? The first side quest is called *Xenoblade Chronicles*. This made me want to ask this. As for Ys Origin I made it to the sand boss which went on my nerves.
