  1. I see another Estelle person joined this place. Anyways I have finished Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. My opinion is very controversial overall. As much as I liked the (less not straightforward story compared to IV), this game did dungeons to its absolute worst. I mean this features some good ones which really challenged my brain, but there way too many of them which featured plain randomness. There is a place called "Hell Maze"...which does not have this name unjustified. Another (minor) issue was random encounters, but I dropped the difficulty to minimum for them to have 100% escape chance. This game has very challenging dungeons, but for a few of them it went too far. Also there is that minigame... I will played Shin Megami Tensei V next. This also will be the final week of being here for a while since I have gathered a new job I will start next week.
  2. I tried to do the hardest possible challenge of Ultimate Cup Z. Forgo Phantom Dedede ruined my run; the hardest boss in the entire series for me. If I am at my best, I could beat it with the starting two health bars. I just got notified from the Direct. From an objective view probably a decent one, from my subjective side only Persona for Switch and maybe Pacman World excited me. Though for Persona I only will grab P3P since I have the other two for a different platform already.
  3. Before Mother will get more games, I would glady appreciate Mother 3 getting a port for the west. StarFox for me although Kirby series kinda took StarFox's gameplay.
  4. Um, Kirby games are not meant to be long. Former parts have been beaten in five hours at max. For comparison the first game of this series is beaten in 15 minutes. That said Forgotten Land is the longest game in the series unless you skip all the challenges and tasks in Waddle Dee Town. Speaking of the price it surprised me that Forgotten Land cost less (50 €) than Star Allies (60 €), considering for its content a very fair price.
  5. Kirby is the franchise I have played the most games of, but Fire Emblem is the franchise I have invested the most time in, so I guess latter then. Mario is a series I have played and enjoyed plenty of games, but some side games like sports games do not interest me. Donkey Kong series is a series I just have started to enjoy. Finished my first game, Tropical Freeze, lately and am interested to play more games from this franchise. Metroid is a series which daunted me all the time because I am not into space stuff. However the gameplay interests me a lot since enjoying Hollow Knight, Touhou Luna Nights and Castlevania Symphony Of The Night which made me want to playing Dread. I ordered it yesterday and I am quite excited to play it honestly. The Legend Of Zelda is a series I cannot get into sadly, aside of the 2D games maybe. Only finished A Link Between Worlds which I even could enjoy to some extent. Pokémon is a series I never cared for since I dislike the creatures and how the franchise is represented as a whole. The only game I have beaten yet, was Touhou Puppet Dancer Performance aka a Touhou fangame with Touhou characters with Pokémon gameplay. Animal Crossing is very fun as a filler, but not a giant fan of it. Only playing it whenever I am really bored. Super Smash Bros lost my interest after Brawl since I mainly play this series for their story mode. Melee's and especially Brawl's were amazing. Pikmin is a series I barely nothing about honestly. Cannot really give an opinion on that. I would assume it goes in the direction of Kirby Mass Attack?
  6. decent ambience 7.5 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Soundtrack - Homecoming Hijinx ~ Snowmads' Island Theme - YouTube Also I noticed my former posted song was already submitted earlier on this page, whoops. One and the same person ranked it, but gave different rankings. Tastes change after a time.
  7. Amazon in my country has some good Switch games on sale right now. Grabbed Metroid Prime for 40 € and Paper Mario Origami King for 20 €. I will play former first since I have got really attracted by Metroidvanias recently. His name is Yuuta Ogasawara who brought and combined the heavy guitars and saxophon to this series since Star Allies. He is a very pleasent addition to the composer system, also is the lead composer in Forgotten Land. He also composed Northeast Frost Street and Sword Of The Survival Guardian among others which are my favorite themes in this game.
  8. Moonlight Canyon, my beloved easily my second most favorite stage theme in this game after Northeast Frost Street Kirby x Fire Emblem would be realizable... ...if I was able to make sprites. And doing portaits would keep my busy for the next months.
  9. This was the hardest quest for me in the game; the last one I finished. It took me about 20 attempts. I learned by that fight how fun and effective it is to use no ability since hitting two enemies simulteanously with one attack prevents from taking body damage from them. It is so easy to get hit by them with a close combat ability, so keep attacking from the distance is the key to success here imo. By the way the no hit boss quests were the initial ignition for me to keep doing boss rushes without abilities. Have done it for Forgotten Land and Return To Dream Land and yet have to beat Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot and Star Allies.
  10. That Azure Gunvolt image reminds me that I started with this series and enjoyed what I have played yet.
  11. I only remember one LPer (I already forgot their name) who despised her and called her "Mary Sue" for some reason. After researching the term, I noticed it does not even match to her character and ideals. Aside of that I never could hate Micaiah because she is the mascot of my all time favorite videogame.
  12. Huh, really? I always got hit since the enemies homed me. People here still play / just started Forgotten Land which is epic.
  13. You mean the battle against the Computer Virus (or however it is called)? I think it could work. Though I dislike how it was implemented in Super Star since it is required to block to avoid taking a hit, and most Kirby players do not block intentionally. I think a time based RPG like in Mass Attack's subgame Kirby Quest could work better, furthermore since it is basically the same gameplay as Bug Fables (and probably Paper Mario series) has. Or a round based RPG with fixed numbers like Fire Emblem as I am workin on rn.
  14. A Paper Kirby game would be such an awesome idea for a Kirby RPG, a genre this franchise needs and deserves so badly. And to be honest it should not even be that difficult to execute that already classic Kirby games have usually more lore than Mario ones. Speaking of "Paper" Bug Fables is such an adorable game considering I have not played a Paper Mario game.
  15. um, not a fan of this mainly because of the voices 4 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Soundtrack - Big Top Bop [World 1 Boss] - YouTube
  16. my profile picture Well, for most I start with Kirby characters since they are not too bad to draw for being non human. Though my ultimate goal is draw Lysithea one day... I am still in practice.
  17. Appears after a month...mainly to post for Bill Kametz's (way too early) death. He will be missed! Meanwhile I finished a few games during my absence like my first Donkey Kong game (Tropical Freeze), Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne and Gurumin. All three were really fun althogh some kind of hard, especially Nocturne. I started Bug Fables, aka my first Paper Mario game, and will grab Shin Megami Tensei V which is on sale right now. Besides that I started to get into drawing.
  18. I heared he had cancer, but did know not it was that dramatic. He did a great job as voiceactor, not only in Fire Emblem. He will be missed!
  19. I sleep in a bed in which technically two people could fit it, but I need the size for all my (20) plushes.
  20. @Zera Very good review after, it was enjoyable and interesting to read. Also yes, the powerups made weaker abilities from games better. Althoguh I would not say it is very balanced since weapons like exis,t but by that some weapons I never used in former games like sword and needle are fun to use and can finish bossrushes fast or relatively safely now.
  21. Ys: The Oath in Felghana OST - The Strongest Foe - YouTube
  22. a bit repetitive, but it has a nice beat 7 Ys: The Oath in Felghana OST - The Strongest Foe - YouTube
  23. Oh, sorry for being late, but thank you for all the birthday wishes! I appreciate it! 🙂 Sadly I was too focussed into gaming yesterday (this is all what I did literally) to be here. I finished Oath In Felghana, Gurumin and the boss rush of Kirby Star Allies on hardest difficulty. Definitely will play more Ys games from now on since I really enjoyed the 2D Ys games so far.
