  1. Only on higher difficulties in 11 + 12, because I have to use everyone. Not liking /= not using
  2. I only use Alance. I don't like cavaliers at all except in Judgral and Tellius because of canto.
  3. Probably noticed that I don't post that much here anymore.
  4. When I played this chapter the first time, I wanted to open the door before the group of mages reached the entrance of the coliseum. Since I only had two units, who could counterattack them (Leaf and Asvel), they were another nasty problem for me. However I used both and Nanna to kill the two second tier enemies, which worked. I only was lucky that Karin dodged the warrior, who could oneshot her. Edit: How the hell could I forget Asvel as 2 range user?
  5. [spoiler=Chapter 3 part 1] A little change: I'll show you only the text of the map story and some conversations instead of the images to cut down the number of parts for each chapter. Map story After losing Agusty, King Shagaal moved his royal court north to Madino. Keeping his word with Eltshan, Sigurd didn't pursue him. While the troops rested at Agusty Castle, Sigurd worked to fulfill his promise to Eltshan. He persisted in negotiations aimed to return administrative control back to Silvail. However the directive from Barhara to "maintain a presence", and govern never changed. In a half year's time, the officials dispatched to Agustria became exceedingly reckless, and began to abuse the power they were entrusted with. The discontent of the Agustrian people slowly began to take root. Before long, a new conflict arose giving Sigurd great cause for invading Madino. Shagaal had been arranging a military force at Madino poised to challenge Sigurd in an attempt to regain control of the capital of Agustry. Meanwhile the notorious Orgahill Pirates north of Madino positioned themselves to take advantage of the ensuing chaos. Sigurd had strict orders from Barhara to hold Agustry Castle at any cost. The ensuing conflict weighed heavily on Sigurd's heart. In addition Eltshan had troops stationed at Silvail Fort southwest of Agustry. The battle on the horizon was gearing up to be a true test of one's friendship and loyality. All of Sigurd's attention was now focussed on the looming threat at the northern reaches of Agustria... one that could very well change the course of history. Shagaal is going for vengeance. The big clash vs. Eltshan is coming up! This chick will get a problem with these pirates. Three nasty foes at the same time. A little part of the map The first foe is Madino. The enemies consists of knights, mages and ballistas. The boss is hero with max. level and a thunder sword. Nothing special. He has pursuit though. East of Madino: a little pack of bow cavaliers and paladins - Also brigands, who want to destroy the villages. East of Agustry: a few knights and a general; all with lances West of Agustry: a few cavaliers and a paladin; all with javelins This means I must defend my home castle at the beginning. I'll split my units into two groups: One group will deal with the armors and the other one will fight the mounted units. Arden and Dew will be left in the castle, because they're unusable (I know that Dew can get some money, but I'm afraid of to lose him). If Holyn talks to Ayra she'll get the hero sword. It's very powerful, has 100 hitrate and has the brave effect. This sword will make her broken! Ethlyn and Cuan will deal with the armors. Maybe I'll get a few lucky lover-criticals. Ayra will decoy these armors. She's in the forest so she should dodge everything. This group will deal with the armors and bow cavaliers from the north and the cavaliers from the west. Yupp, good job. (forgot to equip her the hero sword) Cuan takes lots of damage. The general does 21 damage to him. The bow cavaliers moved towards me. Now I must kill tons of enemies (again): I only kill this knight. Jamka will be surrounded by all these enemies. I think, he's going to survive it. His evasion is pretty good and even if they hit, his defense is so good for his class that he will take a few hits. using physics on Cuan another lover-crit one knight less Jamka gets hit 1/4 The bow cavaliers try their luck on Holyn and Sigurd. They get hit only once. No unit was in serious danger! Midir and Lex take a bit damage by the knights. No big deal! The brigands are going to destroy the villages. Fury will stop them. Time to slash these nine enemies: Thankfully Silvia can refresh each ally next to her so I can attack with four more units: Even Alec can kill sth.! The knights: Only one armor knight is left! Fury can kill this brigand in the next turn. Two packs of enemies are almost defeated (except for one knight in the east)! Now I must deal with the few cavs. from the west before I'm going to move to Madino. The group of mages move as well. So I've to fight two different groups once more. Killing the cavaliers from the west: Ty for making dancers so broken in this game! Azel and Levin will deal with the mages. Everyone else will move towards Madino. This area is cleared up as well. Now chasing with everyone towards north! Fury's task is to get some money. money and a restore stave this group takes a while till she'll reach my party because of the forest Jamka decoys the first one. first one down Whoops - I forgot that Azel was damaged. Damn it! >_> _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Attempt #2 Replayed this turn. This time Aideen heals Azel with the physics stave. Better :) Only the sage is left. Aideen uses physics on Azel again. You can visit the town and get money, even after you've killed the brigand.
  6. [spoiler=Chapter 17x] The deal: If Kelik can beat him, he'll get a ship. Map This chapter features only nine enemies (only sword and axe users) and you also can only bring three units to this map: Anakin is forced. I choose Kelik, because he's fast and powerful and Tekun because of the weapon triangle advantage against the pirates and fighters. Furthermore he's a little bit left behind regarding on his level. The enemies will only move, if someone is in their attack range. The boss is a myrmidon with really good strength and speed, but a crappy sword. The onigiri has a very low might and a shitty hitrate, but it negates the defense and resistance of the opponent. => strength + weapon might = damage He deals 18 damage to everyone! I don't know, what the demon part of the description means. Possibly a devil effect, if it hits? The pirates won't go after the villages. The enemies in this chapter are stronger than in the regular story chapter. They're all about level 10 with really decent stats. Tuken and Anakin can't survive two hits. Turn 1 Player phase Here the proof! Unfortunately Tekun doesn't crit. Thankfully Kelik can use silver weapons now so he has no problem with the pirates. Anakin can ORKO him too in enemy phase. Enemy phase Tekun can't even take two hits by steel swords. Thankfully the 30% misses. good dodge and an awesome level up Turn 2 Player phase [spoiler=Tekun uses a vulnerary and is placed on the thicket so that the pirates shouldn't hit him anymore]with an emphasis on should. Enemy phase CONGRATS FOR GETTING KILLED WITH 10%! claps:newyears: ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Attempt #2 Turn 2 Player phase I place Kelik in front of Tekun so that the mercenary only can attack Kelik. Tekun will get attacked by only one enemy. Move Anakin to the same spot (thicket) like in attempt #1. Enemy phase unchanged Kelik steals this kill - unavoidable He hits again - f**ker Turn 3 Player phase Tuken can get a kill in this chapter finally. I thought it'd be easier ._. ... brought down to earth once more... Enemy phase poisoned Turn 4 Player phase ALL IN ALL OUT DH-Ninja sucks _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Attempt #3 Turn 4 Player phase Tekun gets money and Kelik has to deal with this mercenary. Enemy phase At least the levels are good in this chapter! Turn 5 Player phase Kelik gets a door key for opening this gate. Enemy phase Turn 7 Player phase Nothing special in the shop. Buy a fire, radiance and heal. Anakin has reached level D and can use radiance now. eh... I leave the turn count out from now on, because I use the following turns to buy in the armory and to visit the two reamining houses. It takes me a lot of turns. Also no special weapons. Buy an iron lance, javelin, iron sword and a couple of hand axes. In this house you get the oneshot bow. It only has one use. It kills almost everyone, if it hits. The accuracy is 20! Similar to the FE6 eclipse. Mega powerful, but almost no chance to hit. In the house in the south-west I got nothing. Maybe the wrong person visited it (obviously Anakin would get sth.). C-support Kelik x Tekun Kelik: Tekun, your blade is intimatding as ever. Tekun: Did you need sth., Kelik? Kelik: Do I have to need sth. to talk to you? Tekun: We're in a battle right now Kelik. It's not so much that you're being nonchalant. Focus a little, will you? Kelik: I don't think I have much to worry about with you so close to me. Tekun: ... Kelik: Everyone around you might have died in the past, but I sure as hell haven't. Tekun: I'll keep that in mind Kelik. But do not let your guard down. Not even for a minute. Kelik: Hahaha, I'm fine, and you knoow I never let my guard down. Thankfully you're my ally now, but there's no guarantee it'll stay that way. Don't give me that stare. We may be comrades and friends, but you know you don't trust me, either. We don't trust anyone. Hell, it's why we get along the waywe do. Enemy phase Player phase Thanks Anakin's motivation I can place Tekun in the attack range of the boss. Enemy phase His sword can't hit for shit. Player phase Boss conversation Kelik x Zoro Zoro: Heh. It's about time to show up. I have one request of you, Kelik. No matter which side wins, cut no one's back. Kelik: I'm not so keen on the laws of a swordsman, Zoro Zoro: If you fight a swordsman you follow their rules. The same thing goes for a pirate's duel. level up "to go" Yeah finally a chapter with good level ups! I need them! Even if needed three attempts for it. Kelik's brother fights for the wrong side. Thanks in advance!
  7. Actually I'd have said Fire Emblem after 13 had come out. It ruined this series for me! FE11 was just a careless remake. The criticism was so bad that the actual decent sequel wasn't released outside of Japan. ... and then FE13 took the cake: Removing all the good game mechanics (weapons, staves and mission objectives) and therefore bringing waifuwars, horrible map design and a mindless plot. It wasn't the Awakening, it was the Funeral. Though FE14 gives me lots of hope. It looks very promising so far. Probably not the best game in the entire series, but still the best FE game in the modern time (after Tellius).
  8. [spoiler=Chapter 17 part 2] Turn 7 More fighter reinforcements - no big deal and a mage Player phase Eduardo needs more exp. Placing Itsuke there is a little bit dangerous, because this knight has a javelin and the two fighter reinforcements have hand axes. One of them can reach him. I expect the knight to attack Eduardo, who can't counterattack and even has a less defense than Itsuke. These knights don't move. Mark can talk to Shuuda: They were neighbors and Mark rescued Shuuda. Mark has problems to spell Shuuda's name correclty though... Enemy phase I miscalculated the A.I. in this situation. The knight went for Itsuke with the knowledge that the fighter had the chance to kill him. [spoiler=Almost lost unit becase of that.]I wouldn't have restarted for him! Mixed the nothung with the ramvirus. Thought it was a 1-2 sword. Turn 8 Player phase GG Someone told me that his level ups shall be so sick. Haven't seen them yet! No strength so far. Itsuke is probably MVP in this chapter. Tekun can finally do sth.! Strength and speed are taken. He still can't use steel swords. good Enemy phase Ouch! He needs more defense! His HP of almost 40 is faster down to 0 than you might think! The hand axes fighters can't do shit to my units. Turn 9 Player phase So many tears in each chapter. Karina has entered the throne room. The test, if Lyam told the truth and will join my party. Yes, he becomes a NPC at least. Anakin can recruit him most likely. There's a soldier with a horseslayer in his attack range, but he'll survive the enemy phase all the way. Only one level to go. Even if her stats are crappy, she'll get promoted. Yes! The unit with the best level ups in this hack so far besides Siegfried. another guiding ring - for Itsuke Enemy phase invisible NPC phase Hold a moment! Why does he get 5 damage from the same mage, who did 0 damage to him in enemy phase? Throne boost only gives you +2 in defense and he doesn't use a weapon, which gives him a res. boost. (He doesnt attack the mage, who attacked Karina) Turn 10 Player phase Apparently if Lyam has become a NPC, a soldier reinforcement appears here. effective weapons against armors Anakin can reach Lyam in the next turn. Enemy phase Dear God... (I've calculated the damage.) Turn 11 Player phase Yeah a second kill He worked undercover. Good boy! [spoiler=Even if I'm not going to use him]except maybe for Ivan's recruitment I want to get the hero crest. I spent a couple of turns on this chapter just to bring Tamiko to level 20 and to promote her into a bishop: She even has higher light level than Anakin, who's still stuck at E. It's my fault, because I mainly use him as a dancer instead of combat. A heartly reunion. This scene has voiceacting! I just even noticed, whenever Anakin motivates (= dance) someone, he says You can do it. Kinda funny! I must admit that I turn off the volume while playing this hack, because I don't like the map themes at all. Annoys me after a few minutes. He's still a little weak child. Then in Now he thanks to the right persons! The next plan: Wohoo! A ship chapter will come - love them! Though I've bad memories on the one in Dream of Five.
  9. [spoiler=Chapter 17 part 1] Finally a supply finally Kelik's wounds are recovered. Freeing Siegfried from the cell. A traitor inside the Magnians!? He really isn't a foe! He'll join, when I enter the throne room. Battle preparations Now I've a supply. Liuke works like Merlinus in FE7. You can send excess items and weapons to the tent and get them at any time. If he survives a chapter, he'll get better stats in the next chapter. The sad thing: All the items and weapons from part one are gone including the elysian whip. It really pisses me off! What's the point of it? Promoting a mediocre unit at level 10 to have a shitty "semi-Jagen"? At least all the weapons and items I get from now on won't get lost anymore. Rank Still only 3 stars in tactics :c Augury Bringing Althares to get the chests. Will explain it in the map overview. Like he said: If someone has reached the throne room, he joins. Means no real boss so far. Formation I leave Innana, Ace and Ben home. Map In chapter 17 your group is divided into two groups. Shon and Kelik are fixed and start in an isolated area. Their task is to free Siegfired from his cell. While all the others have to fight their way to the throne room, open all the treasures and seize the throne. Only Anakin can seize. Most of the enemies have generic weapons. One soldier close to the "boss" has a horseslayer and one shaman has nosferatu, but these are pretty much the worst enemies in this chapter. The are two stationary generals close to your starting point though. Statwise the enemies are worse than in ch.16, but slightly better than in ch. 15. Lyam is a level 5 ranger with nice equipment, a hero crest and meh stats. I prefer Haas more. BTW where are Haas and my nomad? [spoiler=Like he said he'll join, if you enter the throne room.]And he keeps his promise! That means no boss in this chapter. Shon This is shitty Shon. Look at his stats! He's an absolute walking target with a low attack power. At least his iron and piercing sword (personal weapon) are completly repaired. I try to give him as much exp. as I can. Though I think it'll be a tricky task since mages can attack through the wall. Kelik shall try to weak the enemies. A new ally: Mark, who wants to take revenge on the Magnians for burning down his home. Mark Mark is a pirate and the very first first tier axe user in the entire hack. His stats are nothing special for his level, but axe users are welcome, because I only have Asch so far. Cant say yet, if I'm going to use him. He also has a default support with a character I don't know yet. Turn 1 Player phase My plan of weaking the enemies with Kelik already fails... His best level up so far! This knights are staionary so I don't have to worry about Itsuke. Enemy phase Sth. left for Shon. The enemies hit very well with their shitty hitrates. You can't double a monk :c Turn 2 Player phase My Corben-replacement! Look at his HP and strength and compare it with Corben's! Mark will be quite useful against the soldiers. second general down Hehehe... please tell me it's only a horrible nightmare x_x Serious question: Is he obligatory for the rest of this hack? Enemy phase another victim for "shitty-Shon" Turn 3 Player phase promtion item for Kevin or Eduardo Seriously never ever have played a FE game / hack with such terrible level ups like in this one. It demotivates me to play this quite a lot tbh. Kelik must kill him, because otherwise Shon would be in the attack range of the mage. If he and the fighter hits him => Adios! Enemy phase Turn 4 Player phase Althares could reach level 20 in this chapter. TOTALLY EXPECTABLE!!! Magic and I'd be satisfied. This was very risky, because the mage could TRKO him. Though 69 ftw Enemy phase These mercenaries are still shit, Turn 5 Player phase Currently I'm focussing only on very few units atm (Karina, Itsuke, Althares, Asch), because the others are left behind. Now he becomes sucky as well. His four level ups were all mediocre at best! Shon won't get more kills and level ups in this chapter. This was the last remaining enemy on the way to Siegfried. With the door key I can open the door. Enemy phase Turn 6 First reinforcements: A couple of fighters appear from the top right of this map Player phase Shon must wait on the tile with the arrow. The big reunion of father and Shon. Shon told his father that he was useless all alone and only could free him thanks to Kelik and his mercenaries. Siegfried gets the nothung again, the effective weapon against magic users. These are the reinforcements.
  10. FE5 needs 0 and 100% accuracy and maybe a few fairer designed chapters for beginners - then it'd be perfect!
  11. Flynn Sciffo 28 Heihachi Michima 10 Tales of main characters Cless Alvein (Phantasia) Stahn Aileron (Destiny) Reid Hershel (Eternia) Kyle Dunamis (Destiny 2) Lloyd Irving (Symphonia) Veigue Lungberg (Rebirth) Senel Coolidge (Legendia) Luke fon Fabre (Abyss) Caius Qualls (Tempest) Luca Milda (Innocence) Emil Castagnier (Symphonia 2) Yuri Lowell (Vesperia) Kor Meteor (Hearts R) Asbel Lhant (Graces) Milla Maxwell (Xillia) Ludger Will Kresnik (Xillia 2) Sorey (Zestiria) It's possible that I missed a few ones. Please add them!
  12. Exactly the same. With my advanced age my reaction time dropped. I played Super Mario Bros Wii (my first platformer after 7-8 years) and I had some issues with the Wii-mote controls. Sucked so hard at the second phase of the Bowser fight. Needed about 20 attempts to beat it, because I felt into lava all the time. Missed to jump at the right time. Also played Super Mario 64 DS which was actually very easy. Some stars were much easier to get than in the 64 version with using the correct character and its own ? block.
  13. Sucking at 2D platformers isn't too bad. Have started to play Super Mario World this week to get nostalgic feelings (more than 20 years ago when I played it). If played it with keyboard controls, I'd suck as well.
  14. [spoiler=Chapter 16 part 2] Turn 7 No (more) reinforcements Player phase I'm going to kill the last remaining enemies before the boss. better Statwise Ben could outclass her in strength and defense. If his speed growth is >=40%, I tend to give him a chance. He could work as a wall not only against physical units, but also against magic users. The way to the boss is cleared. All the forts will be blocked. Probably her only one level up, because I tend to kick her out. One stave user is enough for my team... and I only have one promotion item yet. Emma + Ben: They come together and are benched together Nothing happens in enemy phase. Turn 8 Corben appears, when it's already too late. He was kinda amazing in the earlygame, just because the enemies sucked in part 1. Statwise he's a disappointment compared to Eduardo, who's almost 10 levels below him. His speed, luck and resistance are decent, but Eduardo outclasses / will outclass him in all the other stats. His HP and strength already better than Corben's. => Corben is benched! Actually I don't want to use Inanna either, because her speed is terrible so far for her class. Idk about Shuuda tbh, because I've some sword users already. Kelik, Althares and Tekun are firm! The boss if pretty much f**ked! Enemy phase A knight was attracted. Meh level up. Turn 9 Player phase Adios! The boss doesn't have a special conversation with Anakin and Kelik. I take the strength, but his level ups in this chapter were all in all disillusioning! At least she had a very good chapter. Only two levels to go till her promotion. There he goes... as well... Meanwhile in Panic button! The "dirtiest" people must care about the situation. These guys are in serious business! Your own fault!? OH GOD! NO, JUST NOOOOO!!! Why couldn't he die instead of Siegfried (if he's really going to die in the castle)? I don't want to have this shitlord anymore! At least Levion is back too! Kelik tells Shon about his connection to Levion and that he works as a mercenary for him. HAHAHA!!! Do you really think that the two worst lords can invade the castle? Anakin agrees with it after a while. Probably a bad idea!? Although he doesn't know this man, he's going to challenge him... ... and loses of course against Fenix! ... please not! Anakin becomes finally useful, even if it's only for first aid! Though he's not smarter than Kelik... Sort of true This hack consists of only dumb main characters. Suddenly Fenix hears a voice, which keeps from his attention to kill both. Thank Godness!
  15. [spoiler=Chapter 16 part 1] Next task: Conquering Yulia's castle (again) and rescuing Siegfried. Two new people want to help me. Kelik has a task to fulfill for the fallen female shaman boss from part 1. The big reunion comes closer! Emma found his brother. They tell them each other, why they met here: Emma joined the rebellion to fight the Magnolians. Ben has an own mission. He hasn't told her yet. Though he's going to support her. Battle preparations I accidently forgot to check out the rank the fortune teller. Ace, Asch and Kevin are left home. Ben Ben is another level 10 dracoknight. He's Emma's brother. His strength, skill, speed and defense base are similar as Karina's. Noticeable is his very high resistance of 10. Therefore his luck is very low. He has two default supports with characters, I haven't got yet. Since I trained Karina already, there's no more free slot in my team for another dracoknight. Sorry Ben! Map Chapter 16 is another seize mission. It represents a part from the final map of Siegfried's / Shon's story. It takes place more in the east. The shop, armory and village don't exist. The enemies consist mainly of mercenaries, fighters, archers and mages. The enemies have much better stats! This mage can TRKO almost everyone. The boss is a general with decent all around stats and a brave lance. You saw him already in the chapter against the pegasus knight boss. [spoiler=Actually Asch would be pretty useful against him because of weapon triangle advantage.]It doesn't matter, because you'll get a weapon later, which makes this boss very easy. There's nothing stealable in this chapter. Turn 1 Player phase The enemies are more powerful, but still easy to kill with my high leveled units. And a good level up for my thief. Change Karina's weapon to a javelin to counterattack the mage. A dracoknight, who gets as much magical damage as a mage?! Strange! Enemy phase Almighty 2% GG!!! 0 damage by mercenaries, 0 hitrate by hand axes and tons of crits! A thief, I'm in love with! Turn 2 Player phase Archers can't get ORKOed anymore - Good! All the stats he needs! brave magic - dangerous! Kelik shall counterattack him with the flame sword. another crit Enemy phase Thanks delphi shield! R.I.P. flame sword Turn 3 Player phase YES! Placed Kelik and Althares on the fort to get the def and avoid boosts and block reinforcements. Enemy phase no chance Turn 4 Player phase more crits :( no strength or defense Karina visits the house. Don't do it, because an old lady send you off! Most of the houses in this hack are only traps! Enemy phase crit Turn 5 Shuuda and Inanna join! [spoiler=Innana and Shuuda have transferred stats, but new equipment.]What did happen to the elysian whip from part 1?]Shuuda's lancereaver will be the ticket to the boss. Player phase No reinforcements and no enemies in my attack range. Just must decoy them. Enemy phase Althares in "crit-mode". Turn 6 First reinforcements: couple of reinforcements with not too great stats Player phase Ben's first kill More crappy lord levels up. BTW I skipped Kelik's HP-sauce. Karina and Tekun are placed on the fort to block the cavalier reinforcements.
  16. Some of my units had poor level ups. Lachesis is the biggest disappointment so far. Always only got 1-2 stats in each level up. Lewin leveled speed and that's it. Aideen also got pretty decent level ups. Holyn mainly will use silver swords. Gave Sigurd the thief sword to weak the enemies and gets some money (hopefully the thief sword works like I assume). BTW it's about time for me to update the LP. Though I don't feel like to do it, because the weather is too nice atm.
  17. Have unpacked Xillia 2 after one year and tried it out a little bit. Looks great at the first moment. Want to complete Symphonia and Vesperia first though.
  18. Starting to play ch. 4: Ethlyn, Ayra, Holyn, Lex, Aideen and Jamka are promoted. Midir has a good defense too, but her his speed is kinda lacking and his bows have worse accuracy than the killer bow. But yeah, Jamka is my favorite FE archer even better than FE10 Shinon. Statwise Ayra isn't good in my run. Only hero sword and astra save her ass. Her speed growth is terrible for some reason. 19 speed before her promotion (14,3% speed growth). And her defense is stuck as well. Holyn is ok though
