Yeah, when i realized there were only two units i was glad because i know that conditional probability raises the odds (and I want to pull blue for certain fodder anyway). Then I realized that there would be a ton of salt from people who don't know how conditional probability works (given that the math really is not intuitive at all). then i checked this website and sure enough, that's exactly what I found.

Nana got demoted with 5 skills, so it appears that IS is willing to make an exception for staff units, probably because staff units not having any level three skills unlocked at level 40 makes colorless painfull to pull in. (i should know given that i have just spent the last month trying to pull a H! mia. Coincidently, this means that I am free to save my orbs up, having depleated all posible sources.) Also, i suspect they will demote mikoto, because normal pool versions of special weapons tend to be end up avalible at lower rarities. Also, i suspect that IS realised tht this banner was not going to go over well but it was too late to change anything, which is why they let everyone know that unit from less repersented gamess were coming.

Glacier dance 1 was introdesed to the game as a prerequesite for geyser dance in the origional performing arts banner. The Icons were added to the game at this time (this is standard practice for IS when a level one skill is added to the game before the level 2 and 3 skills), to keep the icon order somewhat clean. However, it is over a year later, and glacier dance 2 and 3 have not been added yet. And then there is thoron plus, which is in the game (and even has a standard set of refines), but is unobtainable by the player (although enemy units use it a lot, and even use the refines in higher LHB dificulties and such). You can get thoron a large number of blue tome prf weapon users (most easily from reinhardt), and shine plus is functionaly indentical and obtainable from oliver (although none of the silver weapons or tomes are very good anyway), but the complete unatainability of thoron plus is still annoying to me.

THis game has a bunch of bugs that only happen if you play through the game without reloading a save at some point (which is common if you just use emmulater savestates instead of the actual save function). Save and reset the emulator at some point proir to chapter 4 to avoid a crash with the barrier sword event, and save and reset the emulator after the start of chapter 6 so that your hero has the right number of leadership stars. Also, there is a glitch werein really long streches of time spent in the arena can cause empty level ups. exit after every few battles, and back out near the end of of REALLY long arena battles to the are "you sure you want to quit" scene, and then immediatly go back in.

Eh. Free orbs to use on the muspell banner. Two units i both want on the same color on a banner with only three units is around as good as the pulling odds get. (it helps that I don't mind pitybreakers unles they have bad IVs and no hard to get skills.)

I just got pitybroken by a bad sigure. I could always merge him into my existing one, but i was wondering if anyone else wants his skills (namely darting stance or harmonic lance) all of my lance users have good niches except for maybe fin (because Abel dies the brave lance cav thing better). I had the same question, and i can confirm that this is how it works. Note that chapter 13 has leveathan and legarn, but no helbindi or garon (i took note of that because ghb units being on a story map makes ghb rerun quests WAY easier) I did a map in chaper 12, and sure enough, i started seeing helbindi's silouette. Honestly, the fact that you essentualy have to run hp+5 in your A slot makes these less usable. However, there are now three dancers (PA ingio, PA azura, and flyer olivia) who can be run in the arena. The meta is all about getting kills to one unit, and if there is one thing dancers are good at, it is helping other units do more things (and given that the primary functin of a dancer has nothing to do with the A slot, that is less of an issue than it is for everyone else). i expect that this will make bonus unit kills easier to get as a result. As for who we will get for free, I honestly suspect leviathan only, because she is alive, and can sensibly join as part of the story. Also, she does not have a duel skill, and IS probably wants people to have to pull for the abovementiond dancer shinanagines. Leiathan, on the other hand, has fury in her a slot (which is not exactly hard to get). Her other skills may be new, but they are variations on skills that have been around for a while (whales probably got several karlas and bridal sanakis already, and are probably working on building stashes of nina, not to mension how easy the blade effect is to get

Getting the "wrong" unit does not mean much at all unless you have a massive pity. The probability of getting ophelia would not change if silias were a different color. In fact, silias increases the probability of getting a blue five star, while leaving the probability of getting an ophilia around the same (the detailed mathematics. Sure, it feels painful, but it dosn't really get in the way of getting an ophilia (except if he breaks a large pity).

Honestly, I would would not want her if we did not get a free one. When gunthra died, it felt like a cheap excuse to not give us a free guntraa. If you are going to kill someone off and make them summonable, it feels like a cheap(er than usual) excuse to get us to pull. (by contrast, this was not an issue when xander died because everyone gets 4 free copies.) Also, why do they make demotes so obvious? it just results in everyone who WOULD have pulled for silias sitting on their orbs.

COme to think of it, Have there been ANY nonstaff users with both an assist and a special? i think quan is a first in that regard (plus the first third tier generic assist besides staffs.). In fact, everyone who wants to run optimal arena teams will have to run this skill, which is a good argument for why quan will not be demoted. IS usualy waits a while before letting a new sort of skill into the 4* pool, and they HAVE to know that people will whale to stay in tier 21.

Oh right. I just mentaly changed the rule to " no characters with legendary weapons are demoted when characters with non-legendary weapons who are not fully built are avalible to demote instead". only after ares did i consider the rule gone forever.

Welp. Honestly, I think everyone was expecting fe4 g1 due to jamka. As for the actual units, they look interesting, but I'm honestly going to spend the free orbs frying to get a brave lyn who is not -spd. Quan looks nice, but I already have 4 lance cavs, 3 of whom are good at offence. Sylvia is too similar to olivia, who I already have at +5 (and I have other dancers who can fill her other niches, like good res and potentialy runiing earth dance and a hone skill). Levin looks nice with that b skill and the reverse desperation, but I have a lot of great offensive infantry mages already. THat's not desperation. It is greater than 50% hp (which is way better due to lack of set up IMO)

I have two interlocking questions: I have just 5 stared my anna, and was trying to figure out a good build for her. Note that I am currently massivaly short of devine dew. I also have 5* copies of nephnee, hinoka, soliel, bride lyn and tiltyu' and 3 or 4* copies of most 4* avalible units. Note that I have a +spd maribell i really like, and i was thinking of giving her atk/spd+2 (I use her more than I expect to use anna she is currently running spd +3 in that slot). who shoulld i fodder nephnee on and what anna build should i build?

WHich nephnee is better, neuteral or +atk/-def? Note that I have not yet decided on a build yet, but was thinking of using dauntless lance, possibly with the effect refine, because I have enough lance users that I want each one to be unique. Note that I already blessed the neutral one, so if they are near identical, I will use her. Also, is atk/spd +2 worth using on a +spd/-res maribelle?(as supposed to saving her to use wrath on someone) note that i use her more often than any obvious wrath users.

Also, when ever anyone brings up bits of story being in comics. I always think of marval and DC comics, which frequently break up story arcs intentionaly as a method to force you to by multiple issues per month. This can include things like having a special event series, but the introduction of the main villan takes place in that month's superman comic instead of the actual series, or superman does something that only makes sense if you have read that month's superman comic. THis sort of thing has been going on since the 80s. That being said, such things are generally included in the trade paperback collections (which is one of the reasons that many comic fans only read the trade paperbacks, with the other big one including skipping bad stories). Obviously, this is an extreme example, but the fact is that only the most hardcore fans read extra material like that (unless it is literaly included in the packaging). Generaly, I feel that the folowing is the optimal rule: The player should never be required to consume media in addition to the main series in order to to make sense of the story (and even then, there are ways to include catch up info in game.) the other hand, additional flavor, or side stories that take place in the same setting, are generally okay.

Masked Marth, sharena and soren are all f2p friendly units who synergise very well with bonds due to their refines. Granted, they often perfer atk/something bond, but any bond will work. like veronica, if you have her. SHe has a gaping hole instead of an A skill, and the best options are atk/spd push and atk/spd 2, neither of which are easy to get (although nephnee happens to show up on this banner with the later). THing is, veronica wants to be close to allies due to her staff effect anyway.

Honestly, I would definitely pull from this banner at any other time of year, but the brave heroes banner exists. MAYBE I will pull on green, because I still don't have a gunthra, and my LA hector is -def+spd(aka, literaly the worst nature possible), but I just got a good ephraim. All the brave heroes have skill fodder I want, and would be great on my team (although some of them would require specific IVs to be worth it)

After spending some money on the brave banner, I thought for a little bit and decided that I wanted more info on exactly how much I spent total. After not finding any information in the app, I went onto the google play store's transaction history, and added all my purchase amounts manually using a spread sheet. I discovered that i have spent $240 on this game (most of it in the last 2 months). This disturbes me, because I was under the impression that I had spent less than $150, total (I started playing around BH1, and my first purchase was the black knight pack). Although I can afford it, I still feel tricked, and am considering uninstalling the app. (if only so that this does not happen again. I am trying to save money for a rainy day). On the other hand, It is providing hours (and hours. and hours) of entertainment, and allowing me to flex my strategy muscles. On the third hand, things like daily quests feel exploitative, because they force me to play the game on its terms (to make it impossible to unplug while maximizing f2p benefits). Urg. This post is partly to vent, and partly to solicit advice.

I doubt it, because we know gunthura will be back on the next banner. In fact, we know the next hero must be red because of who has been confirmed to return. I highly dought he would be a red hero.
