I just got a +hp/-spd bridal cordelia on my free pull. I already have a +atk/-def +1 klien, and a +res/-spd brave lyn, both of whom are running brave bow sets atm (the combination of cordelia's bad iv's and kliens good ivs/merge means that they tie strength, and klien has one more spd.) How should I build her? is it worth foddering someone for a brave bow? I don't have any fayes atm, so fire sweep is out. Note that I plan to pull colorless, so I may get a better one, but i don't want to count on it. In other "great character. bad nature" news, just got my first hector and he is +spd/-hp (too bad those two natures are not reversed) Note that i already have a +spd/-def valentines hector. How should i build him (or should i just fodder one of them to someone for DD, like sigurd, valentines eliwood, or ayra)? Edit: just got a +hp/-def Normal ninian (not the bride variety. I actualy got her when trying to pull for cordelia and there were no colorless) What's a good way to build her? I already have lightning breath nowi, lightning breath faye, and both genders of grima, plus normal olivia (runing wo dao), PA ingo (running TA raven), and NY azura (running fury and defensive drive stacking). I also have a 5* -atk/+spd F! corrin who i rarely use and am fine with foddering if a debuff build would be good. I am atracted to the dark breth debuff build because I have all the tools i need right now, having kept 4* joshua for just such an eventuality (whereas I am criticaly short on fury and TA atm). On the other hand, I have no idea how well this would work in practice, especialy given that this is my one copy of windsweep for the forseeable future, given that I don't have a +spd nature, and given that F! grima already has res smoke.

I almost always snipe unless It's a legendary banner or something (in which case you are unlikely to get any given unit anyway). Granted, part of the reason for that is a lack of self control on my part (I want to pull now instaed of waiting until i have 20 orbs, darnit) THat being said, I sometimes will pull off-banner colors if i need fodder in that color anyway, and it is a 3 orb summon (i pulled one or two colorless on the current bride banner when i had a bunch of orbs, and wanted klien, nanna, and sothe from the 4* pool (got a nanna, too).

Desperation 3 is avalible on shanna at 4*. no promotion required. She was in the 3-4* pool at launch, so you may have a 3* copy as well (which is of coures cheap). of course, you could be in the boat i am in right now where you run out of copies of shanna because everyone wants desperation. Raven especialy requires no feathers for a great build. basilikis +eff (refine weapon he can learn at 5*. dew is required) Reposition (barst or selena at any star rating) Glimmer (beruka, clarise, lon'qu, peri, or soth at 4*) Life or death (soth at 4*) or fury (hinata at 4*). Desperation (Shanna at 4*) Threaten def (he comes with it). Note that Galeforce (which DOES require you to spend feathers to promote a cordelia to 5*) apparently works better than glimmer if you equip the heavy blade seal, and it apparently changes "great" to "borderline broken", but he is still excellent without it. (he works very well for me, and I never gave him galeforce).

I just got a +res/-atk ares. Can/should I use him (i have several other red sword cavs, and a tiltyu for tempest trials/arena bonuses)? THat being said, if i fodder him, what kind of unit would want either of his skills? Would leo want brazen atk/def? (he has a placeholder A skill atm.) Or is it worth it to just keep him for variety, given that i can't be sure of getting him ever again.

Wanted to run a erica on a mixed tactic team along with blade l'arachel, siegbert, and L!lyn. This team includes all 4 tactics, with eirica running def ploy and everyone else running their native ploy skills. Currently I have a 5* +hp/-def erica, and my 4* eiricas are +spd/-hp and +spd/-res (no 3* ones). Should I promote and merge one for the better nature, or should I hold off for a different nature (or save the feathers for something else, if the nature is not a big difference.) Note that, although I have other merge targets, i don't have enough units (merging my +2 reinhardt to +10, with no avalible 3/4* reinhardts atm), or they are not of the right nature (i want a clair, but mine is -atk). I have enough feathers for severavl promotions (but not enough to finish reinhardt).

I am SO glad that red is the best color to pull on, given that I am short on pretty much every kind of red fodder. That being said, I just used all my orbs on the legendary banner (and got insainly lucky, which is part of why I am so short on fodder. I notably need fury, moonbow, reposition, and Triangle Adept). Also, I now have precisely three dancers, so I would like another one, so I can have one with each blessing (makes the quests much easier) It is worth noting that there are two big rules that IS seem to follow when demoting someone. 1. Never demote anyone with all three passive skills. (so in this case, not ishtar) As far as I can tell, this rule has never been broken (although you could argue that Nanna violates it, given that she has two passive skills, instead of the usual one that staff users have, I think that's because thay realised that having no staff users come with inheritable level 3 passive skills at 4* was a large part of what made colorless hell so bad). 2. Never demote anyone with a personal weapon if an alternative with an inheritable weapon is avalible (which implies not ishtar or ares). This rule has been broken once, for the branded king banner. In that case, Mle morgan was demoted. However, demoting either of of the other characters would have violated rule number one. As such, I suspect that Lene will be demoted, because she is the only character without a legendary weapon, and she only has three passive skills. IS likes to give us a skill new to the 4* pool as the 4* skill with every demotion. Examples include drive def on nanna, life and death on sothe, and spur def/res on m!morgan. See also the fact that Legendary lyn would like the normal mulagir if you are running her in settings that don't generally meet the swift mulagir's condition, or using her as a blue tome counter.

I hate to repost, but this appears to have been buried on the last page. I got a -atk +res hinoka. Can I salvage her (FYI, i don't have any fayes so firesweep bow is out)? Maybe warier princess/death blow (no copies of swift sparrow, and she needs every point of atk anyway)/def tactic? Alternatives include drive stacking, or foddering her to the multiple people who want one of her skills (although i don't like doing that unless she is unsalvagable)

I just got a Hinoka, but she is +res, - atk. She is my first ranged flyer or 5* unit with an armor effective weapon, so I really want to use her. If i can't, i have to decide whether to fodder her to soren for her bond skill, fodder her to NY!azura for flyer guidence, or fodder her to NY!azura for flyer formation, or fodder her to someone else. It is worth noting that i don't use soren THAT much, and although i constantly use NY!azura, she is usualy the only flyer on my team. Also, on a similar note, I just got a +atk, -spd Saber. I already have a ton of sword users, including ayra, soliel, exalt chrom, siegbert, elincia, and sigurd, plus several others. Should i build him? (he does not appear special, and someone probably wants a slaying sword, but I am always reluctant to fodder a 5* exclusive if i could get the same skill by promoting fir or something)

I meant as my main bow user. I have only foddered a 5* that I was using once, when I foddered an athena so that olivia could get wo dao+. I tend to keep every 5* i get unless they are a duplicate or thier nature makes them compleatly unusable. I have the feathers to promote a klein or gordon. Also, I want to say thanks to everyone as well.

I finally got a brave lyn on the new banner (for reference, i picked lucinia as my free brave hero). Thing is, she is +res, -spd. My current main bow user is +1 +atk, -def klien running the obvious build (who has been part of my arena core along with reinhardt and a dancer for a long time), and my only other bow user is NY! corrin, who is running a budget build. How should I build lyn, and should she replace klein? (I was thinking of giving up on her spd stat entirely and running brave bow/draconic aura/reposition/death blow/sacaes blessing/def ploy (or cav buff)/Atk +3).

In retrospect, you are right (especialy because i promoted her for this and reinhardt and bride caeda (Blade) already existed. It may also have been a mistake to use my one swift sparrow on her. In all honesty, I just wanted to play with a cavalry blade mage). As for lachesis, I am already running dazzling gravity/savage blow 6 on my +atk genny. are the 20,000 feathers worth it (although I could always switch genny to a dual hone set)? What about a BOL9 set (bol skill, seal, and daseling absorb +)? is that worth it? I wouldn't really mind saving lachesis to fodder, but I already have genny as a physc user, and i don't know how good absorb+ is. Also, What staff do you recomend for lachesis? (you left it out of your set recomendation, although if i am sacraficing a Lisa for gravity, i would be inclined toword rehabilitate).

I have a katarina, but would not mind more of her (swift sparrow and atk ploy). Elise is someone i have been wanting forever. Ditto Brave Lyn, who I have pulled for on every banner she appears in, but missed her every time. Wouldn't mind more siegberts for merge or atk ploy. Dorcas manages to have 3(!) great skills (although this extends to any one with qr3, realy, i need like six copies). Want a ninian for my dragon team. Really want more of brave ike for steady breath. Honestly, now that lots of the trash has been skimmed off, many if not most 5* units have some skill i need on someone.

Just got my pity broken by a +res/-HP leo and a -atk/+spd lachesis. What can I do with them? For reference, my existing cavalry are l'arachel(blade), reinhardt, Sigurd, Abel, Siegbert, Chrom(branded). My other red mages are katarina(blade), and lyon. My only other staff user is Genny. I have a 4* tharja, over 40,000 feathers, and over 200 divine dew, with no urgent targets for any of those resources (although there are alternatives).

Eh. Fantasy settings not changing for thousands of years is so common that i am heard pressed to think of five fantasy settings that DO change. Usually, when a setting changes, it is a fall of the roman empire type regression (ie: what Tolkien did with lord of the rings and the slimirilian). Dragon quest is an excellent example of a setting that does not change at all, despite hundreds of years. THe only fantasy settings I can think of that have century long time jumps and advance technologically are avatar (between "the last airbender" and "the legend of korra"), and Mistborn (between "the hero of ages" and "the alloy of law") This sort of thing is so common that i don't even notice it anymore.

THis if often true, but i have been having a ton of trouble with the GHB elite quests, and have not cleared any of the armored quests yet.

I just got a +spd/-def valentines hector. Obviously, this is the worst nature possible. I am f2p, so i would not bet on getting another hecter again. My only other DC axe user is +hp/-def dorcas. (no normal hector or or other vlalentines hector.) THis hector is also my fourth armor unit (with BK, valentines eliwood, and christmass chrom), so i have incentive to use him on armor quests. Should I attempt to use this hector? if so, what build would work best? (assume only access to 4* skills, plus MAYBE one skill avalible by promoting a 4* unit to 5* (although i would petfer to use my feathers to add merges to reinhardt))

Yeah. Me too. I actualy got my normal ike on my second of third summon (immidiatly after starting the game for the first time), so I am attached to him.

Honestly, I really want warding breath fodder on my nowi, except that I feel like they are going to set up quests and arena bonuses assuming everyone has L-Ike (just like with fjorm), so it would be a bad idea to use one unless you have anouther one.

As for themes, just read any book of medieval history, or watch any documentary, especially anything with David Starky as the narrator (as he is melodramatic, and does not spare disturbing detail). "Monarchy" is good (and came out before the TV show). It is telling that lots of material "inspired" by game of thrones is either nonfiction or historical fiction. Not to mention that Medieval stories have lots of this too. Keep in mind that a popular version of the king Arther myth has him getting killed by his illegitimate son, whose mother was Arther's half sister (although modern adaptions often change this to be Morgan le fey, an unrelated (pun intended) villain). Not to mention the part where Arther's right hand man has an affair with his wife, which causes a civil war when discovered. And that's not even getting into feudal Japan...

After the 2.2 update, I have 3 candidates for refining using divine dew. Michalis, +atk/-def raven (who has been runing a brave axe build, but i have heard that basilikos builds are better, and i wae never able to get him death blow fodder), and masked marth (who i am using as a falchion medic). I should note that I have exactly 4 fliers. Elincia, HYNazura, michalis, and a +spd/-def minerva with a +eff hautheclere.I should note that I have 100 devine dew and 242 refining stones (my luck has given me a lot of legendary weapon units reletive to units of refinable weapons), so i really want to know who the second best devine dew target is, as well as the best one. (I should note that i don't have a sothe yet, so i don't have Life or Death fodder. I have no 4* klien for death blow 3 fodder.)

Also, She has 42 atk and 40 spd unboosted with blar blade+ equiped (and 35HP, so that desperation triggers after one ardent sacrafice). WHich of the skills works better in that instance? Also, What is the best use for my one copy of swift sparrow?

I'm building +SPD bride Caeda as and infantry blade mage. Right now, her skillset is Barblade+ ardent sacrifice Moonbow Atk/res+2 Desperation Hone spd/Drive spd Obviously, the A skill here is not ideal. I have seen guides recommend Life or death, but I have no copies of sothe despite quite a bit of colorless pulling. I have a Katarina with a garbage nature and swift sparrow 2, but I have no idea when or if I will ever get another one, so I want to wait untill the optimal moment to use her. Note that I also have a raven that i want to build, and want to build blade mages of other unit types eventualy. Should I use my one copy of swift sparrow here? Or should i run some sort of placeholder build, like my current atk/res+2, flowing strike or a defiant skill (because they give you field buffs, unlike every other self-buffing skill in the game). No copies of klien either, so death blow is not a budget option.

I recomend playing the three bonus chapters. THey are fun (and the "assasins" one allows you to play as villans, which is the only time in the series where you can do that.)

THe satelaveow bonus chapters are unlocked by compleating the prolog, and are thus not DLC. There are three new bonus chapters, and some usefull free items, that are only avalible by downloding from the internet (the free items work like the free items in awakening, and that you can give a copy to each save file once per save file. All bonus chapters use a predetermined party, and give you no rewards for clearing). As for the shop, it is appreently possible to spoof your DSi's internet connection to connect to a replacement wfc that someone set up, which has the shops live. IDK how to do that though. Otherwise, you have to use cheats to get the shop items directly into your inventory.
