  1. I believe so. Some of the scripted ones might not be blockable though.
  2. Back on schedule. Here's Chapter 12 in 1 turn.
  3. I need to clean up that OP. Will look into it next week. This is the last chapter(s) before 1.4. Everything from Chapter 12 on will consider Patch 1.4, which I plan to stream the Xenologue a bit on YouTube. Anyway here is Chapter 10 and 11. A note is that there is a datamine of receiving a Second and Master Seal as rewards. If we can get these before Chapter 10 a few things can change to make use of not needing Framme or Jean, or maybe to get Rescue from Chapter 9 well to save on Warps. Sage Diamant is now meta don't @ me.
  4. Chapter 9 I am skipping Rosado and only grabbing one chest. All will be revealed by Tuesday.
  5. Excellent Sommie. Anyway I come bearing news. I have Chapter 10. Where's Chapter 9? I don't know!
  6. 100 Subscriber Special? Chapter 8 in Fire Emblem Engage in 1 Turn? Remember - I want your Boucheron Builds and your Sommies being pet!
  7. We take on Anna Paralogue today. Nothing too fancy, but we'll get some cool stuff to show for Chapter 11 soon. Still just working with Chapter 10 for now. We're almost at 100 Subscribers. Thanks to those that have watched, liked, subscribed, and commented! I really appreciate it. You can hold off on this chapter if you want.
  8. I have one save (I sometimes shove another to the bottom just in case) before I drop the items. I drop the items, then save in another file other than those two, and do the battle in a slightly faster way (I ignore EXP / items simply to do the chapter faster). Don't save after battle. Afterwards I check the well. If it has what I need, I just re-do the save as normal to complete the chapter. Well RNG is determined once you drop the items.
  9. Doesn't meet all criteria but those are the floors for each chapter I would say. This did allow Skirmishes, which is why a lot of these floors are acheived.
  10. Chapter 7 Thanks to Rewarp, we can press on! We battle cuteness with cuteness! Thanks to @Azure the Scale Tipper for their Sommie and Alear! I really am a huge fan of blue colors and glasses, so the Alear / Sommie combo was wonderful.
  11. Since my run was mentioned I kind of want to note a couple things. Most of Chloe saving turns is more that she's mobile enough to help in maps such as Chapter 6. Hell it is actually a little more questionable if she needed Boots right now, but I think later on it'll still be worth it. I'm just going to detail everything here ONLY because I want this more noted for LTC discussion and not necessarily for other styles of play, but I'll talk about that in detail here as well. This is not me asking to be part of the horse race. This is just me slinging information. - Chapter 4, Chloe does not necessarily save turns; however, her and Louis are integral for getting the 1000 Gold. We also believe there may be a way to squeeze another kill into Chloe here that we all missed - something with the AI, but would need testing to confirm. - Chapter 5, Chloe for the most part is just helping keep people alive at most. This is probably more an EXP Chapter. Though, bear in mind that the process doesn't really cost turns and IIRC resource wise wasn't too bad with DLC in mind. The detriment to Alear's EXP has been inconsequential so far and I believe won't be affected in the end. - Chapter 6, while Louis Vander and Celine are doing a lot of the work, Chloe and Alfred do help because they're the most mobile. Her being able to double that Barbarian is nice to have, but as I said in the video a Defense Tonic should allow Louis to brace impact. Though I am not sure if you can reach afterwards without Canter and moving all the way. Alfred has the bush that inhibits his movement a bit, so there is that. - Jean Paralogue is really where Chloe technically saves some turns because she can contribute a lot to the action with some inheritance. Doing this map is mandatory if you want to 1 Turn Chapter 7. Yunaka can do some things, and actually Vander can be an alternative here if Im understanding Adyline's clear. - Chapter 7 1 Turn demands having Chloe at the forefront. Rewarping Alfred, Alear, Celine, and Chloe to the front to have Alear kill the Greataxe Cavalier, Alfred and Celine kill Hortensia once, and then Chloe Raging Storms an Archer (with Boots) and House Unite for the second bosskill. So let me explain a few problems here from an efficiency standpoint only because I want to make it clear my metric is not just LTC, though as I've noted in my Reddit Post I will heavily consider it. While I'll give you that Chloe does not save turns and, in some ways, does not make major impacts to 4, 5, and 6, she still helps a lot with these in other ways. The other thing is investing in her early does also give some breathing room for your army and makes that Jean 2 Turn more reliable. You're probably going to point to Alear in that chapter, but bear in mind as I said that I needed her to do what she did for now because I was uncertain on some skill book usage. Consider that to 2 Turn I have to already put 500 SP into a "dead slot" (Yunaka) and Chloe would take a great deal to replicate roughly what she did here. I have to check the math but if you don't give her Energy Drop I think (emphasis think) she needs Level 16 Edelgard to 2HKO the Axe Fighter in Turn 1. That bush is a huge block to other units - I think only Vander can reach that Axe Fighter and he fails to double with Hand Axe. So back to efficiency, Chloe is probably a bigger help here if she's invested in early. Chapter 6 for example has a lot of enemies that you'd rather kill as quickly as possible to keep people alive. If Chloe is up there in Chapter 5 she just gets more exp in the process, so she probably saves you some Arena work which opens up using the Arena for Alear. Basically her savings come in other ways. I'll just stop there for now since there isn't anything else to add here. If you want my opinion, I'm considering an educational video discussing it. It probably will be after Chapter 8 since the gacha rings will tie me up a lot. 7 I just got Warp, so Anna Paralogue is my next stop for another Warp.
  12. Hopefully this dish has some more spice. We detour to Jean Paralogue. I am doing all Paralogues, but Jean's was one that a lot of us were curious about doing because, if we could get a 2 Turn, we could get the Energy Drop and the Rewarp staff from the Well before Chapter 7. Who's ready to unleash a monster?
  13. Chapter 6 We are back to where we were last time. There are a few adjustments made to get Chloe some more experience, and we take advantage of that thanks to Canter. She does make Turn 2 a little easier to handle, but other than that she did bail me for Turn 3 only because I forgot to use the Torch on Turn 2. Her and Alfred did help with keeping the enemies cleared for Louis to get into the boss and Vander to light the torch. Alear just does her own thing.
  14. Maybe some philosophy might help with the topic here. I probably won't be peeking too much at this because there's... a lot to the discussion. LTC is what I like to call a floor. You can also call it a ceiling if you will. Assuming fairly decent chances of success, you can use this as a basis to help determine what is good and what is bad. From there, you can try to go with more lax assumptions on the player and their clears. When you evaluate a character under the circumstances, you first can see what they contribute to an LTC clear. The reason I like this is because there is factual evidence (usually) behind what is going on. There are direct 1:1 measurements of what a character can contribute in the tightest of settings and worked out from there. Then, if say a unit doesn't work in those settings, you can then evaluate what it takes to either get them to that point or, if you're going a little bit slower, what they can do in direct comparison with other units. This is why Tier Lists have worked for many years IMO. Of course, it has been riddled with silly things here and there like PEMN (Personal Experience Means Nothing), which is fairly ironic when you think about it because the best way to sometimes rank a character is through... personal experience. If you have the factual information to back up these statements, then it's more credible than paper analysis which was what was often done waaaay back in debates with Reikken and co. (Forgive me this is from a Discord): There's a lot of criteria a tier list can have, and the reason why some people just don't like them is because their favorite character (*cough* Anna *cough*) is often in the gutter tiers (where she belongs). There's almost no criteria that players often use with their games and tier lists (LTC, Efficiency, Ironman, etc) that makes her good. There's also something I really want to talk about because it kind of irks me that this is often brought up into discussion with stuff like LTC, and I really want to nip the rose in the bud: Take it from the person who not only did Chapter 5 like multiple times in different ways, but also from many others who have. There is often more than one way to scratch a cat. If I followed exactly what was done early on, I would've used Amber like everyone else in Jean Paralogue if I had to clear all Paralogues. XS and co discovered like 3 different ways to do this map now before Chapter 7, and some of these have fairly reasonable chances of success. Lolo, who granted was doing Hard, was focusing on her playthrough to be all about 100% Chance of Success in her Low Turn count. She went as far as documenting everything one-to-one on it and is yet another dent to this argument. This is arguably more reliable than your average Fire Emblem player who is taking risks (sometimes very reckless) or not paying attention to what's going on in the map. The other thing is - and I'm just doing this as a natural callout to everyone - everyone does this if they aren't Iron Manning. I cannot name how many times I've watched over the years of people resetting because their level ups were awful, because they missed a critical crit that probably could have been prevented if they just mapped out the map more carefully, resetting because their one strategy that they devised or watched from someone like, I don't know, Iced Coffee Gaming didn't work the same way it did for them. You know why I reset sometimes? Because I get opportune crits that I don't like to assume in strategies. Prior to my Chapter 6 record that I did, I had one almost ready and Celine got a crit on Turn 2 against the Axe Bandit. The thing is that it's extra EXP that I'd rather not assume, because I do actually look at things like Chance of Success and probability. Many LTC players do this as well, and I am sure Speedrunners and Iron Manners alike also look for this. XS's clears are impressive, and Iove seeing turn floors (ceilings) because I think they are interesting to see if, from a chance of success standpoint, if there is a way to replicate that or find a new strategy in the process. That's really the beauty of LTC to me. How it applies to here is like so - I don't think under most circumstances Lapis will contribute a lot to LTC. That's fine. If the player is going at a somewhat efficient pace, then it's possible Lapis can be good. But even then there are still varying factors here, because Lapis's jointime is basically 2 maps away from Rewarping 9 and 10. Lapis can help in these circumstances, but the process of course is that by going faster, your levels are decreasing for the entire party (and likely your unit) as well. So it's important to find a good metric of measurement regardless when you're doing tier lists, because you can only napkin math so much before you run into how we used to do tiering back in the dinosaur era. I can make Anna good for example if I assume the following criteria. It's not to say you should use this criteria, but it's a criteria nevertheless: - She can sometimes nab you 500 Gold - She's "easy to raise" if you use Micaiah on her - She feels fun to use because after she promotes and gets Chaos Style it's not terribly difficult to keep her rolling. - If you go heavier on Cavalry she can be protected by Bonded Shield Cavs - She has a rewarding experience as a growth unit Do any of these things matter to me in a vacuum? No, they don't But it is true that it does to some. They'll say Anna is better than Boucheron because Anna has growth potential and Boucheron doesn't (even though I'd probably argue that's false).
  15. That's sick man. Hope he gets to see the older games. Okay. Chapter 5 redo. I want to promise this is the last time. Knowing someone they'll notice that I could've gotten a little extra EXP. I'm so sorry if I sound unenthused. I really did try, and I'll be real I am super hype with Chloe right now. This kind of EXP lead will hopefully help long-term, and I know the Boots will let her slam things in an upcoming map. 🙂 I'm going to try to do Chapter 6 as quickly as possible. Might peek to see if there's some EXP squeezing I can look at, but for the most part it's Louis and Celine cooking with Alear catching up top.
  16. Chapter 6 Rings Marth - Alear Sigurd - Louis Celica - Celine Alfonse - Alfred Sharena - Clanne Anna - Chloe Micaiah (during chapter) - Hiya Papaya Boosted Marth to Level 10 for Alear (Mercurius) Boosted Sigurd to Level 3 for Louis (Momentum) Sigurd Engrave Javelin, give to Chloe Marth Engrave Iron Lance & Forge to Killer Lance, give to Louis Gave HP Tonic to Celine Bought Illume for Framme and Torch for Vander Gave Fensalir back to Alfred I also gave Folkvangr to Celine - this is important for thresholds on Turn 3. Pet Sommie because I love him Optional - you can Def train Alear if you want so that Yunaka doesn't have to heal Alear Turn 2, but it doesn't matter much. If you've watched DLC 3 turns, you probably are familiar with this. I made some use of Alfred and Chloe to help clear the way for Vander and Louis. The nice thing about this clear is it only costs a Killer Lance forge and a couple Embeds. You could inherent Hit+ if you wanted to improve the Louis fish, but for the most part you're going to fish on the 2 turn, 3 turn, and even 4 turn because of how the boss works. The next few chapters I have to whip up and test around. XS found some basis framework and so did Adyline. It's probably going to take my time when I'm not streaming Superstar Saga tomorrow on Twitch. I have the food prepped for the chapter I go for, so it's just a matter of careful selection of what to do for strategy and not backing away from putting Boots on Alear and putting them on Chloe instead. Please pray for me on the latter.
  17. Priestess and I were talking about Lapis earlier today and I figured I'd weigh in more with LTC in mind because I did hypothesize with Sky that Lapis could work. But I think recent discoveries on how I plan to map my run does put a heavier dent onto Lapis, unfortunately. I think there are some merits to running Lapis in the group, but I'd really focus on Wyvern and Griffin Knight. Wyvern's biggest advantage is that you still get access to your Silver Blade later on for Engage Attacks (Georgios if you go Griffin Knight after receiving it) and can functionally work there. I think Chloe's earlier jointime does get her rolling a bit quicker, though, as an example and that can have a snowball effect, as I've seen when XS has been doing his maps. I put her in C originally more because I was really unsure of her. More stat comparisons and a few other things helped me soften my stance on her and I think she's still a solid B investment. Questionable if Merrin outclasses her (Merrin has a good personal skill) and she still has some competition, but you could argue that Chloe passes the baton to Lapis and Lapis does the work instead with Edelgard. So yeah I just wanted to post this information too because I planned on looking at a video with her (and a few other LTC-related videos). Just figured I'd drop this here.
  18. Hi Tangerine!

I know you haven't logged on forever, but just in case you do I wanted to drop by and say hello.

  19. I can ask him. The playlist is private at the moment. I can ask him if he's okay with others watching it (you can DM me on Serenes too - I can provide the information). Alear is mostly to get to Chapter 11 as fast as possible - but otherwise there isn't a huge reason to. Anyway I got Chapter 4 and 5 for everyone! And Chapter 5!
  20. I think so, hard to really say on that because of how the maps go. Problem is the EXP bar barely goes up so I can't tell, lol. Also no ruining for me. I have already finished Maddening. You can refer to what I posted here - Reploids had a 4 Turn clear and the Turn 1 is really where it's pivotal. You maybe can get a little slimy with Alear and EXP here, but this clear for example is reliable and the only real "failure" is missing hits. Other than that, #Frammehug.
  21. Yes. Aggro Incarnate confirmed the information in Mekkah's Discord the one day. The solution appears to be beating Hard Mode first (it will work as intended after Hard Mode is cleared) or not updating to 1.3.
  22. Okay, restart - because I am recording old chapters. Listen it's Prologue. Let me know if you find a way to 4 turn this. Seriously. Not much to discuss on Chapter 1. Most of it is all about rotating Vander in and out in order to get as much EXP on Alear. Alear gets a level up here. Vander Fucking Dies Lumera's AI will prioritize Vander and Alear. 5 Turn is an acceptable situation considering there are a few things that can go south here, but it's a pretty short map. The tutorials arguably take more time. Turncount: Prologue - 3 Chapter 1 - 4 Chapter 2 - 4 Total: 11 Working on Chapter 3 after I'm done eating.
  23. In the most strictest of LTCs, no. The issue with LTCs in a very strict sense is that you have to do Tiki first. While Tiki does give a few perks, she eats up a lot of turns in the process. If the LTC assumes all Paralogues visited, something I'll look into - there might be a mild amount of merit for it, but the issue is that for the map I would consider it most on (Chapter 22?), you wouldn't have Hold Out on Veyle for example. For Efficiency's sake - obviously safer to assume we get it. All that said the issue is that there aren't a lot of instances where you eat hits on Enemy Phase. There are instances and it may save turns in an all Paralogue LTC, but atm it isn't explored. I would tentatively say no for now.
