I and many others did grow up on Z and the like. However, the quality of those dubs have aged badly. Even if I ignored some of the edits they made in the early years, the dub quality is overall poor compared to today's standards. They're fun to laugh at and some currently do put a considerable amount of effort, but Japanese most of the time comes out on top when it comes to seriously being engaged with the series.

Forget and forgive. Who needs swordmasters?

For me, it depends based on some scenes. The Japanese is solid in the serious moments, but I feel like dubs really make the funny scenes better because you can fell the sillyness from the words and tone, plus it can be amusing to see some weird translations, like in the Kill la Kill dub.

Watching Selector... uh, the card game with girls. The recent episode just introduced suffering that seems to be present in most seemingly innocent plot-lines these days...

Honestly, Chrom x Olivia still remains as a best pairing for Chrom. The only rival would be Cordelia, but most of what she has to offer Lucina(Vengeance, Armthrift, Sol) aren't that good compared what Olivia gives(Vantage, Swordfaire, Lethality for Streetpass). I know most people overhype Vantage and think it's useless on Lucina, but it's generally better than Cordelia's skills(And honestly, Armthrift and Sol are way more overhyped). And Severa gets cheated out of Vantage to compliment her initial Vengeance. Sumia doesn't honestly care, since her child's basically perfect. The best would probably be Gregor, since none of the other children really need him(Lon'qu can replace him for Laurent and Maribelle also doesn't care who she marries).

Since nobody ever uses Virion seriously, how about if you were going to use him? Unit bias, min-max and hair color aside, who'd Virion be a good match for?

As soon as people see you have nothing, they'll just dismiss because it's pointless to fight. Don't unarmed people just huddle around you instead of running away? Plus, Dread Fighters only have 6 movement so mounted units or pair-up hopping can eventually corner them. I don't know who's lazy enough to fight a Streetpass battle on Auto. That's just a bad idea since most teams run Counter and that's something people shouldn't overlook. So I guess this can beat... anyone who's not familiar with Streetpass battles?

My like for Awakening is just fading the more I hear about it. At the time, I was all about it, gathering all the information and reading over everything about it. Nowadays, I can't really stand it because all discussion became Apotheosis Emblem: Galeforce.

I use Gordin in both DS games and he turned out pretty good. I mostly use him in 12 because I like his new sprite. Gave Bord a try recently in both games and he didn't do that bad. Tried building Caesar into a Sorcerer. Needless to say, he was terrible in 11 and barely better in 12.

Slow World and good BP management. She only does the combo when she Defaults for BP, so Slow World will keep lowering extra BP she tries to gain. To counter its effect on you, run BP Recovery or a My Hero set-up to keep your party a plenty with BP. The whole game was a breeze for me, but she was the one that forced me to rethink my whole party to win.

Exactly. People just want to say he's a Risen, even though it's been proven people can come back whenever it feels convenient to do it.

Everyone really likes Hector because he can take a hit unlike most Lords and is one of the few competent Axe users. He's good in the beginning, but I don't really like him in the later half when magic and big maps hinder him a lot while he stays unpromoted.

Oh, I wouldn't know since I never use Snipers. Whatever, I like having an Enemy Phase for all my characters.

There isn't much need for that much offense(and especially limit to 2-range thanks to Sniper) and both of them love Vantage more, especially Severa. It's probably more useful for Streetpass, but Inigo would be a lot better since he gets Rightful King+Lethality.

The other possible Chrom pairings, even if they were possible, aren't really worth it. Lucina really wants Galeforce, which nobody but Cordelia gives, except that whatever Cordelia gives isn't worth anything compared to Vantage from Olivia.

It's actually not a good one, since he actually explained his reasoning instead of making idle threats for no reason.

Well, maybe this can stop people from forcing themselves to shove Chrom x Sumia down their own throats. Although, I don't know why everyone always says Frederick x Sumia in proxy against Chrom x Sumia.

A lot of children have parent issues, but it really depends on how they cope with it. People really only like characters like Owain because they relate to him and like his yelling habits more than trying to understand him.

I don't know why people have to complain about Severa. "Overdone stereotype" What stereotype hasn't been overdone? Chrom? Overdone JRPG protagonist. Lon'qu? Overdone swordsman with brooding past. Nowi? Overdone young person that's over 1000 years old. I could probably name all the stereotypes all Awakening characters follow. "Mean" She's definitely mean on par with how society acts, but it's actually realistic as far as children characters go. In fact, her mean nature actually gives her charm before she warms up to people. "Never changes" Going past C support actually helps. It's not like she'll suddenly change or turn out to have good development like all characters typically do. I don't care if this is just a joke post. People really need to learn everything about a character before jumping to conclusions and forming an opinion of them.

Unless it's Lunatic or +, there's no real reason to grind. A lot of units in this game can function well without any grinding with competent strategy. Only a few(Donnel, Ricken, Virion, Lissa, etc.) are tough to raise up without grinding, but they are typically bad even with it. I tried to avoid this topic yesterday, since I thought there would be a billion people white-knighting Cordelia and demonizing Sumia. Surprising, some of the posts I've skimmed through have put Sumia above Cordelia, which is a refreshing sight to see.

It's really balanced as a foot-soldier class. I don't use a whole lot of them because I find them a bit unoriginal to use(There's like 7 potential Heros alone). Sol is kinda eh, since it's pretty easy to survive once you break caps.
