Is it for love, or perhaps something more?
Galenforcer replied to Galenforcer's topic in Fire Emblem: Awakening
Avatar x Tharja A support. Although, everyone always implies everything as rape nowadays. -
I don't understand why postgame ratings should count, since it's obvious the children dominate when grinding is allowed.
-
But Hawkeye exists and Vantage is actually useful.

5.5/10. A weaker Miriel that joins later. He does have access to Dark Flier support and Sorcerer, so he has the possibility to end up better than his mother. C Tomes are more flexible than what the other children get. +1 bias because nobody ever gives this guy a chance, making 6.5/10. He's basically Colress from B2/W2.

I like Assassin Olivia better. No need for a Dancer when half the team has Galeforce.

Is it for love, or perhaps something more?

It really came down to the fact that I think that people base their marriages because if how well they look together is pretty bad. There's a huge jump from friendship to married life, and some people actually do base their love on their spouse's body. Love really does have to develop in order to lead to marriage, not immediately declare your love. -
Grinding harder than a lesbian on heat.

Sorry, but I only clicked for the title. Limit Break is a pretty petty skill, since it's only required for one map. -
Guys, Vaike!Kjelle is overrated and Kjelle looks terrible in blond hair!

6.5/10. She inherits most of Sully's genes and is pretty good as a Cavalier. Since she's one of the easier kids to get, she has ample time to work on herself. Although, she does lack a support and comes with just alright bases.

Funny thing is, even though I know Chrom x Avatar is insanely powerful, I never use it because I just hate the pairing. I didn't even use it on Lunatic. And having Chrom as a friend is cool, but as a husband... eh, I'll pass. -
I still think Owain's one of the lower of the children. To get him, you have to use a mediocre unit and give her over to a hubby(most men don't really benefit from Lissa's bonuses and effectively wastes a better support they could get with another woman). It doesn't really matter that you can get Owain earlier or not, he doesn't really pay off as much as the other children or even some parents.

It has come to my attention that people seem to just drool over the bodies of certain hotties(Tiki, Cordelia, etc.). It gives me the idea that people loved those characters just for their bodies and base that as their reason for marrying them. Any thoughts about this? I think it's pretty shallow to base love over something superficial as looks.
-
It might be only my problem, but I think Owain is getting a bit too high in scores.

2/10. If I wanted a mediocre swordman, I would've used Lon'qu or Gaius, who joins way earlier. Also -1 bias because everyone's gonna give +bias, making 1/10.

2/10. Has a little more offense than Basilio, but is still outclassed due to no support built up and bases are only okay.

I just realized Cynthia has Bowbreaker access.

But his Tharja one is terrible for romance. Lissa's is pretty average and so is Maribelle's when it comes to love. In the end, Henry does just want to be a good father to his children. Some ignore his personal traits(Noire/Gerome), but I thought him trying to be good was like him. He and Miriel are probably like co-workers. Know they work together, but never talk to each other. -
Even if he could S rank Flavia, there's only 3 chapters to do them in. And those chapters are pretty fast-pace, which eliminates the benefits.

2.5/10. Has Rally Strength by default, so I guess that makes him good enough to field. His offense is alright, but having no support built up this late really hampers his battle capabilities.

Is she still a Dancer? Trap an archer and Dance all the way to 30. It's boring, but it's the safest way.
-
7/10. Pretty good base stats and is a Manakete, giving access to good 1-2 range attacks. Supports are barren, but she's workable with what she has. Being available before 19 at the earliest limits what she can do, but still is fine to use for the later chapters. -1 bias because of her new look for 6/10.

It's good for grinding, but really has no more use than that. Forges aren't that vital to conserve since there's an abundance of money in the postgame.
-
inb4 I've never used her, so 1/10. Honestly, 6/10. High speed and alright offense is pretty good, especially with no training required. Her class set is pretty good(Pegasus and Wyvern). The flaw would be limited supports, locked to Avatar and Tiki. So, an Anna that shows up later that trades utility for slightly better offense.

Lucina was because she's right after Henry and on the main story. Next is Say'ri, then Basilio and Flavia, following the official game's order when they list the characters. After that is the children and Tiki.

Characters that you think get an unfair amount of hate and why.
Galenforcer replied to FrostyFireMage's topic in General
I agree with this. The hate pretty much snowballed and became the cool thing to do. Sumia's hate is pretty unreasonable, and Tharja's too to some extent. -
Lucina's like a later Chrom with slightly better bases. She's good and all, but she isn't really too game-breaking. Olivia/Maribelle/Maiden!Lucina do have mediocre starts and are decent when raised up.
