It is! I've been around as a lurking guest more lately because I was too lazy to sign into my account just to read FE13 info. I figured I might as well wade into this discussion with the single anecdote I have for this patch.

You shouldn't blame Twilkitri for Aoife. He brought it up as an option, and I egged him on until he made the change. Though it wasn't too hard to do that...

Winning is defined as "not ending up in an unenviable position" when it comes to my previous post. I forgot that when I used pretty much the same argument with my dad, he had the context for the word from the conversation whereas this is the first time I've written something along this line of thought on this forum. My term is more directed towards "winning at life," rather than "winning an argument."

Whenever you get a group of people together, you will inevitably have situations like this because it is in some people's nature to always see the fault. Whether justified or not, no one in a position of authority over others is exempt from criticisms of anything they do unless they take steps to quash the freedom of those people to criticise. (This will often draw criticism of its own) The simple fact of the matter is that no one in a position of authority over others is allowed to win in any case whatsoever. It's simply not possible. This applies across the board from presidencies to internet forum moderation.

I feel no need to point to the stupidest members of the side I oppose to prove my points. It's kind of like pointing at someone's poop to prove how stupid the person is. It's theoretically possible, but it doesn't negate the fact that you are looking at someone's poop. If you like that sort of thing, more power to you, but I would rather not.

Personally, I have found the best argument for God is that we are nothing more than clumps of bacteria who have harnessed the power of electricity, and chemical reactions to create the largest plague ever known by the bacteria that have infested Earth. Some tend to find this as more of an argument against God, but then again, some children fancy dressing up in their parent's clothes and thinking they know everything. Personally? I know nothing.

I feel lighter somehow, as if my massive post count was a burden on my back. With it gone, I feel like I can... Oh right, I only had 3 posts to my count. Nevermind!

It's generally a good sign when a topic called The Apology is best summed up by "good feelings at first, followed quickly by a sharp spike of vitriol." I realise we have a sacred cow of needed to correlate every ban with an equally compelling action that prompted it, but to be honest, this is an internet forum. It is generally made for fun and lols. Lets keep this in perspective when we are trying to accommodate the majority of people's personal space versus the right of anyone to call everyone selections from the untoward word variables of our collective profane dictionaries. tc;dr: This topic could be improved by everyone holding hands, and forgiving each other. Or being doused in gasoline and lit on fire so we don't have to go through this whole friggin' shebang for 10 pages of everyone just making each other feel worse. Really. I tend to expect the latter will be used, but then again, try optimism, settle for pessimism. Edit: The middle of my post seems to have nothing to do with anything else in it... >_>;
