  1. Mount it above my future fireplace, then pretend that my lazy ass used to be a war hero to my grandchildren.
  2. Cash or debit. Interest rates can bite me. Also, I feel that having physical money in my pocket tends to make me spend less ("Oh poo poo I only have 20$ left...") than using debit/credit ("How much did I have in my account again? Eh, probably enough.").
  3. You know how in the Chapter 2 talk they say "When you turn autobattle on it means that Avatar (FIGHT) stops giving orders and just lets us do whatever?". Now I'm just imagining Chrom's army as a bunch of drooling idiots (some of whom are, admittingly, pretty good at stabbing people) that would just run around the field wildly flailing at the enemies with varying levels of success if Avatar isn't controlling their every move. Kinda makes you imagine what other Avatars (that actually issue orders) go through during each battle... "NO SUMIA LAVA BAD. LAVA B- CORDELIA YOU HAVE TO AVOID ARCH- Oh for fucks sake...".
  4. For all intents and purposes, Donnel only has 2 class options, since who the hell is going to turn him back into a Villager after his first 10 levels? I wish more people could get Mercenary. That way I can have Amrsthrift and Sol on all of my kids because those two skills are amazing.
  5. Lifetaker is a great skill, it's just really overshadowed by Sol IMO since Sol can activate on the enemy phase and make your chars nearly impossible to kill once you get 40+ Skill and a Brave weapon. Still, Galeforce + Lifetaker is pretty good.
  6. Or Lyn got high as hell from a Sacean peace pipe and thinks that all tacticians look the same. Yeah, I think she's referring to the player and not your avatar.
  7. Tiki because she's the only one that isn't pedobait and she shoves an apple down Say'ri's throat which is hilarious.
  8. Because we all love seeing a bunch of +1 appear every time he levels up. Plus he gets 48 Luck +2 (from Stats +2) and Amrsthrift to go nuts with Helswath and Ragnell and all of the other shiny weapons. He's also a one-man wrecking crew when you eventually get him out of that horrible Villager class.
  9. What has Owain ever done to you to warrant condemning him to 10 levels of Villager? Reclassing Owain from Myrmidon to Villager gives him -3 Strength, -9 Speed and -3 Defense which, unless both parents are super strong, will turn Owain into a terrible unit for 10 levels. I'd rather pass down Aptitude and spend 5 levels in Hero (aka a class that can actually fight) to get Sol instead. It's not like Donnel has anything really special to pass down other than Aptitude.
  10. Only pass down Rally Strength is you plan on giving Severa 1-3 more Rally skills. Rallys tend to be kinda bad when you only have one of them. And Severa should really be murdering enemies instead of buffing allies. DLC Katarina and DLC Pallia, when they're available, can fulfill all your female Rally Strength needs. I'd pass down Axefaire or Counter. Despoil is kinda bad if you have access to DLC, Gamble and Zeal do nothing a forged weapon can't do, Wrath is terrible (+20 crit is just not worth it). Then again, I use Armsthrift/Sol/Galeforce/Bonds/Stat +2 on my Severa so I don't give a crap about what the father passes down other than the statcap modifiers.
  11. You know Legault, I really think that you're coming in the wrong way here. Just showing up and saying "No you guys you're all playing FE WRONG so let me show how it's supposed to be played you plebians" isn't going to get you much support and ensures that you'll ruffle a whole lot of feathers on your way in. Making it sound as if Galeforce is useless dogshit on the level of Luck +4 isn't helping your case either. That said, I do agree that Galeforce is not the bee's knees or whatever. It's kind of overkill on the lower difficulties and will be hard to trigger on the higher ones. Then again, following Legault's method of Efficient Play , the best answer would be Rally Speed or Relief (lol) since you're not getting anyone to level 10/15 until really late in the game, at which moment the kids won't be that amazing since it's so late and promoting the parents at level 10 hurts their stats. In the end, I still voted Galeforce since most of the kids that really want a female exclusive skill (Inigo/Owain/Brady) don't have access to great Lance-wielding classes (only Paladins/Great Knights from the top of my head). Dual Support+ gives an amazing +5 Hit/Crit/Avoid/Dodge with a A support, so it's not really worth a slot IMO. And I always use DLC/Spotpass ladies as Rallybots (because they can stack Rally Spectrum/Rally Speed and now Rally Love and I'm sure as hell not using Avatar(F) or Morgan (F) as Rallybots when they could be on th front lines murdering stuff), so I don't feel the need to pass down Rally skills (also I think Inigo and Owain have better stuff to do than Rallybotting).
  12. Chrom - I'd swap Charm for Luna or Aegis to maximize the effect of Rightful King. +5 Avoid is a pretty small effect later on. Avatar - Again, I'm not sold on Solidarity (although it is better than Charm). Avatar has a like a million skills you could use instead. I'm guessing he's a guy so no Rally Love? Lissa - Rally Res is kinda bad and so is Dual Support+. She gets Galeforce for extra movement and Renewal to help her last longer. The Bride DLC brings Bonds and Rally Love as nice skills too. Sumia - Stats +2 from the Micaiah DLC made Speed +2 completely obsolete. Rally Love is coming out Thursday if you want to make her into a decent Rallybot. She also gets Luna and Renewal (ahaha good luck getting that last one though). Tharja - Seems fine. Poor girl really got screwed in reclass options. I guess she has Luna and Pavise but eh. Lucina - Once again, Luna > Charm. Morgan - See previous comment on Solidarity. Quick Draw from the Alm DLC works nice with Galeforce, otherwise I'd prefer Sol to randomly heal HP everytime he attacks. I don't see what Vengeance is doing here? Owain - Galeforce > Zeal, Sol > Avoid +10. Inigo - Olivia should be passing down Galeforce instead of Luck +4. I'd swap Axebreaker for something else since I find it a bit narrow; maybe something like Deliverer instead? Cynthia - Renewal is better than Relief, pretty much anything else is better than Speed +2. Or you could drop both Relief and Speed +2 for Sword and Tomefaire for extra killing power. Gerome - Locktouch, while useful for Infinite Regalia, is kind of a wasted slot anywhere else. I'd take out Strength +2 and Locktouch for Sol and euh... Pass? If you have the Alm DLC, +10 Resistance would be great, since Gerome's Res is kinda bad. Just swap out Sol for Locktouch if you need the latter. Noire - Lifetaker is kinda eh compared to Sol since Sol can activate multiple times per turn (and, most importantly, during the enemy's turn). She also has no reason to not have Galeforce. Nah - Once again Sol > Lifetaker. Strength/Speed +2 can be replaced by something else (I personally use Deliverer because 8 move Manaketes are hilarious, Quick Burn and Slow Burn are ok, while Swordbreaker is great against random Wyrmslayers) As you can see, I'm a big fan of Sol since, short of Nosferatu spam, it's the best way to help your chars not to get whittle down during enemy phases. Also, you might have to make space on everyone for Limit Breaker when it comes out in April.
  13. Isit me or is "No" the only option in the poll? And honestly, I don't really care about Eliwood killing Lyn and stuff like that. They are "alternotte", after all, so it's all ok in the end.
  14. I tend to go +Luck (boosts both offenses) or +Magic (since I use the avatar as a mage anyways) with -HP (since he/she has no business taking hits).
  15. Actually, Brand inheritance might be a complex trait, and not a simple trait like you guys are considering. Complex traits are usually the product of two or more genes interacting together, with sometimes environmental inputs added in. Traits that are affected by multiple genes include human skin tone or animal fur color (even more complicated when you factor in albinism). For example: Let's consider 2 genes, A and B. Gene A is the Brand gene, it codes for the shape/color/whatever of the Brand. Genotype "A" means that you have a Brand, genotype "a" means no brand. Gene B allows for the expression of the Brand on the skin. Genotype "B" means that you can express your Brand, while genotype "b" means that, even if you do do have the genetic information to have a brand, your body cannot actually express it (usually because Gene B codes for a protein/enzyme/structure that is required in the Gene A expression pathway). In this example, Lissa can be Ab (since she's part of the royal family and all that, so she should be genotype A), but does cannot express her brand due to her b genotype. If Owain inherits genotype B from his father and his mother's A, he'll have the brand. Note that gene products can have multiple roles in the human body, so Gene B/b might also be linked to something completely random like lactose tolerance and whatnot. If Brand inheritance is indeed a complex trait, the only way we could determine what actually causes the brand involves a lot of data from multiple people (1000-ish IIRC) and lots and lots of computing to find possible correlations. And even then, we might find absolutely jack since the search for such correlations is basically just a trial and error process. Of course, this is all assuming that the factors behind Brand inheritance are purely genetic. It becomes even more of a clusterfuck when you add in environmental factors, like it is the case for IQ and height. Summary: Genetics are very complicated.
