ya'll be doomsaying way too soon

    (Wisconsin is leaning Biden now)

EDIT: omg las vegas what are you doing

What exactly is Las Vegas doing? I'm a bit more drunk than i usually ever let myself get (re: I never ever have gotten even tipsy before) and I'm having a hard time finding anything that isn't from hours prior.

He hasn't lost yet, and odds of landslide are possible but unlikely.  Unless we see a historic landslide with him losing worse than any Republican candidate in a long time, he will spin it to his supporters as well as to himself that the Democrats cheated and he didn't really lose.

It's the same guy that claimed he lost the popular vote to illegal voters, and that he won, in "reality", both the electoral AND popular vote in 2016. All fifty states could vote against him, and he'll still spin it that it was rigged against him.

The Karma has already hit for him. Him losing on the 3rd would be the ultimate hit to his ego. A failure for the entire world to see. An inability to reclaim anything from his loss in any way, shape, or form. To be publicly exposed in such a dramatic fashion is the narcissist's worst nightmare. He can spin everything else in his life, but he cannot spin losing an election by over 50 points, which is entirely possible.

He's certainly trying. Keep in mind, he'll argue against the mail-in ballots, saying that millions of fake ones were cast, as well as arguing that the democrats rigged the election against him. Let's not forget the Supreme Court is stacked in his favor right now.

Me for the past four years: "Why are we still here? Just to suffer?" 😷

Seeing the kind of shit going on, it is getting harder and harder to hold onto hope that justice will succeed. It's mind-boggling how much lower they can go when you think they've already dug far enough.

I have a lot of hope for this hypothetical Biden presidency.

    Check the senate races: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/senate/

I also love Chuck Schumer's statement.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/sahilkapur/status/1320869180011352065

    Anyway, back to the Senate

      Hide contents

    AZ will flip

    CO will flip (D+2)

    IA might flip (D+2-.5)

ME will very likely flip (D+3-3.5)

    MT could flip (D+3-4)

    NC might flip (D+3-4.5)

    AK might flip (D+3-5)

    GA1 might flip (D+3-5.5)

    GA2 might flip (D+3-6)

    SC might flip (D+3-6.5)

    TX might flip (D+3-7)

    AL will flip (D+2-7)

So... Democrats are basically only "guaranteed" +1-2 seats. Vote.

The fact that there is any race at all is mind-boggling. It shouldn’t even be close. It should be unanimously blue across every single position. I swear, the American people just seem to love being abused.

Anybody else refresh FiveThirtyEight throughout the day like you're squeezing a stress ball?

Unfortunately, doesn't do much for me. While I'm glad Biden's ahead nationally, I'd feel so much better if my state (Texas) would get its head out of its ass and boost Biden higher. He can still win even without Texas, but it'd sure as hell make it a lot easier having Texas.

  7. Playing the demo now that I'm off work. I'm playing undocked, and I haven't seen any frame-rate issues in the slightest. I'm beginning to wonder if it's because I never put my console in sleep mode. Also wondering if that's why my joy-cons, after over three years, haven't developed drift in spite of heavy abuse.

It takes some getting used to these controls, though locking on with pushing in the right joycon stick is absolutely stupid and goes against every bit of muscle memory from Zelda, and I think even Hyrule Warriors.

  8. I got my voting done today. I got to do curbside since my foot is fractured, though it wasn't that busy at my polling place. The hardest part is gonna be waiting for this all to be over...favorably, I should hope. I haven't looked at polls, but I hear Biden is more favorable. I can only hope that holds, unlike 2016.

I wouldn't hinge on McConnell, but as Meat Loaf said, two outta three ain't bad.

I dunno. His behavior during the debate with Amy McGrath may have cost him a lot of worth with voters, not to mention his behavior throughout this administration. Laughing in the face of thousands of deaths though was...absolutely disturbing.

He has legal immunity until he stops being the president, so till january at least.

Eugh. So he’ll get three months to run away and hide. Hopefully, the whole world will keep their eyes on him.

Edit: Unless he buggers off to a non-extradition country. Like Russia. And with all the secrets he has...ugh.

Isn’t the rest of the world’s borders closed off to us? Regardless, before the results, or, failing that, the moment he loses, his passport should be confiscated, any and all assets frozen, or just outright arrest him on the spot. He should not get a chance of weaseling out of the consequences.

The Sheikah are very long-lived compared to Hylians, and since the Yiga  Clan are Sheikah who turned to Ganon's side, it could very well be the same person.

Which means we’re gonna go from Wedge to Sephiroth on the current sliding scale of physical appearance.

Given how the game currently looks, and how everything thus far appears to be tied to one mode, he likely won’t be playable.

  13. Here's a fun little event that seems to have slipped underneath the radar.

    Lies.png

Had to screenshot it, because I can't link to it, apparently. I decided to take a look at some of the replies to it. His supporters, naturally, are upset that they're allegedly suppressing Trump's freedom of speech, in spite of obvious reasons as to why this tweet is absolute bonkers. I sincerely hope that the number of people that vote against Donnie and the Republicans this year VASTLY outnumber the type of idiots that believe this man's words.

Another concern I have is that anyone that's STILL undecided changing their minds after the whole "court-packing" debacle that's going on, since Biden and Harris have declined to confirm whether or not they will. Nevermind that Trump still hasn't allegedly agreed to a peaceful transition should he lose, but, you know. COURT-PACKING. OBAMAGATE. HER EMAILS.

Whoops, somebody published a draft of the story for Pence testing positive for COVID, including details only broken today. And it's a confusing development because Deadline is only apologizing for publishing the story, not for publishing misinformation. Listen I completely buy that writers are tasked with writing and re-writing drafts of potential stories just in case they break and you need an article on short notice, but this feels oddly prescient. I'm not a journalist, but I have experience in professional, non-fiction writing. I can't imagine being granted "the keys" to publish my own material before editors give me the go ahead. My only job is to write and send in drafts. Everything gets checked and rechecked before it's ever published. Maybe the world of news just has hair triggers.

And if the story ends up being true, that Pence had tested positive for coronavirus and fought that hard not to have plexiglass between him and Harris at the debate? Whoa. That compiled against the fact that there's conflicting stories about when the president began showing symptoms and finally tested positive is starting to imply last night was the second attempt at infecting the opposition. I don't know the appropriate way to respond to such allegations.

Well, Pence did cancel a trip to Indiana, and tomorrow, Pelosi is going to be discussing or doing something in regards to the 25th Amendment. Honestly, at this point, it gets difficult to keep up with events. They happen so fast.
