  1. I'm pretty new to the Fire Emblem series too, you should try Path of Radiance if you can (that's what I went to after Awakening). That one is loads of fun if you can get your hands on it. But anywho, welcome to the site!
  2. Awwww this is adorable, thank you! Thank you, I'm really liking it here so far! No love for Holiday Punch I'm probably one of the saddest Demomen ever, I can't even sticky jump right. I will admit it is fun messing with the caber though. It's a toss up for me to play any of the classes but 9/10 times I'll probably roll as Medic (since no one else loves him). I like playing as Spy or Pyro the next best though.
  3. Does the DLC spoil other Fire Emblem games stories? If so, which ones do? I don't want to get spoiled via DLC, I'd rather play their respective games first.
  4. Personal opinion, I liked the scene in my first playthrough. My Avatar was Lucina's mother so it had the personal punch in it. I never accepted her judgment though, because I didn't think killing the Avatar would be the fix-all the future was looking for, but dang it would've been cool if she was able to kill her. Would've made for an interesting twist and I would've loved to see what the story would've done after that. The second playthrough I had a male Avatar who wasn't married at the time, so the only tie he really had was Chrom's friendship if anything. I think her not being able to go through with it is actually still in character. After all she came back in time and almost every time she tries to intervene she came off as desperate and I don't blame her either. Like for example when she tries to stop Basilio from going, he still goes regardless. She put up a little fight but then backed off, it's the same with this scene too. You could agree with her but she'll start her own internal battle of "is this the right thing to do?" before coming up with her own final decision. So yeah, I liked it. Sure the choices don't matter, which stunk but I still liked it regardless for both scenarios I tried. Heck, even when Chrom intervenes it seemed in character for him too since him and the Avatar were bros for life from the word go.
  5. I thought the same too when I first played through so I tried answering what I thought would be the right thing to do...and then found out it didn't matter. Is this the first time in the series they do present choices like this, or is it just Awakening? I mean, it's a little disappointing that it doesn't effect the future of the game, but at least it effects the current conversation. I've ran into these in other games to the point that it just makes me ask "why bother"?
  6. Yeah I noticed just in time to marry her to Henry. It's a shame both of them didn't have more options, especially Sumia. She doesn't have the required marriage so you could easily miss out on Cynthia if you're not careful. Plus, hey more opportunities to flesh out her character if she had more people to interact with. More on topic, it would be nice for Chrom to marry, for the most part, every other candidate. Not just for the stats but more for the conversations. It'd be interesting to see what their supports would be like.
  7. I have no idea if you're still searching for a part time job, but don't let rejection or bad impressions put you down. I got my first part time job via a "School to Work" program back in High School. The first place my teacher sent me she sent someone else who was more qualified too. Sure, it really sucked when they would ask questions and I'd feel like a fish out of water, but you just give your best answer and try to ignore or shake off the nervousness. Heck, I almost didn't show up for my interview because I was so scared of looking like an idiot. Afterwards I went and used my Mom and Dad's contacts rather than the teacher's. The lady who hired me liked me because of who I'm related to and how I presented myself. I wasn't dressed too fancy, but I didn't dress lazy either. I agree with a lot of people in here who say to use contacts, they really do give you an edge in trying to get a job. As for applications, some places (at least where I am) have the forms sitting near the front desk or the cash register. If you don't find it, you could just ask the employee who is at the front if you can have one, if not turning in your resume works too. I think it's okay to be nervous because having a job is a big deal.
  8. Unless I'm moving the car to park it, I put my seatbelt on before I even start the car. It's too ritualistic for me to not do it.
  9. I've used families before for just skirmishes, but never for the full blown story. Are you going to do all the paralogues too or just the ones needed to get Severa and Morgan? Regardless, good luck with your run!
  10. Hello and welcome! I've been a lurker on the Awakening boards here too so it's nice to meet "another of my kind". Hope you like it here as much as I do!
  11. Woah, I'm surprised I'm still being welcomed on here. Thanks guys! (Excuse me while I try and test multiquote, sorry if it doesn't work out right) Cool something in common then, hopefully I can play more FE's like you as well! lol that explains the hero part a bit more. I don't make pizzas/donuts anymore but after 4 years I'm pretty sure I remember the recipes. I don't mind sharing conversions of what I made with others either (though a Dessert pizza is probably one of the hardest ones for me to remember). Donuts I'm still trying to make a good batch at home still, my workplace used a specific mix so I have to goober around still to make a good copycat. Anyways, thanks guys this is the warmest welcome I've ever had on a forum.
  12. The first one to pop in my mind was Stahl. When he first joined I thought "Oh man, he looks almost like Frederick AND he's a horseback rider? That seems really lazy". But after a while I started liking Stahl as a character instead of looking at him as Frederick's copy. Maribelle's another one just cause she comes off as being kind of a jerk, but when I went further through the story she got nicer. I can't think of any others but those are my two cents.
  13. I haven't watched Sailor Moon in a long time, let alone this Crystal series. I really liked your video though, I can't stand her voice, the art style (those computer graphics look out of place and/or kind of lazy), and why the heck would they make Darien wear fancy clothes from the word go? Then again, if I remember right no one knew Serena was Sailor Moon in the original series despite the fact that her face is completely visible...
  14. I did this and also had two units further out where the reinforcements pile out on the sides of the map. Out of your roster you mentioned I'd use Cordelia and Frederick to run around since they can move further and sometimes the enemy attacks them instead of going for Tiki. If you have another flier replace Frederick with them though, because movement.
  15. I name logs, branches, and ladles stupid names. When I get a new log I up the stats and name it after a verse of the Log song from Ren and Stimpy. Otherwise I forge a brave sword, name it after my Dad, and call it a day. I have trouble remembering what does what if I did that to all of them.
  16. Yessir, the best hat simulator on this green earth. Thanks for the welcome! NoIlikeithere
  17. As much as I'd like Cordelia to be with Chrom (mostly because of her crush on him, not because of Severa) I'd say Panne or Nowi. As someone said earlier in the thread I want a Lucina who can transform. Statwise, I don't know enough to determine who'd be the best mother. On a sidenote, why can't Chrom marry them? Would it have confused the coding or something if different women had the same amount of "love points" with him or something?
  18. lol Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Making pizzas was pretty easy compared to getting up at 4am to make all the donuts. Though you'd never find donuts that say "brains" on them for Halloween unless I was back there. I can make taco and breakfast pizzas with the best of 'em.
  19. Around 300 hours or so between two files and no DLC bought. I like to get skills for the Avatar, Avatar's spouse, Morgan, and Morgan's spouse. I don't even know why, it's just addicting to me.
  20. Oh okay thank you very much. I just wanted to make sure I read the right thing before I start posting too much.
  21. Hello everyone, I've finally got up the courage to actually make an account on here after looking at the Awakening boards for a year. I found this little site after I finished my very first FE game, Awakening, and wanted to talk to others about it. A little about me is I used to make pizzas and donuts for a living (so tasty) and like a little bit of every kind of game (Board games to shooter games to RPGs etc etc). I've only played Awakening and I think I'm almost done with Path of Radiance, they're both really fun games and I'd like to play more of the series and have more friends to talk with about it! (Is the Code of Conduct the Terms of Service? I kept trying to find it but every time I clicked the link to it on the sign up it'd just take me right back to sign up...)
