With that said, that's why I don't want to go with her...** ああでも、もし行くなら。。。  → Ah, but, perhaps if you go... Well I tried my best, hopefully i didn't completely misinterpret the overall meaning (the asterisk'd one is probably the one I'm the least confident on, context for what was being referred to and all that, made me go through several rewrites before I think I figured out the intent). Also don't really do too much translation, so some parts might be more wordier than they need to be for the sake of accuracy/ not deviating too much from the original Japanese; hopefully its not rigid. Like I said above, I'm all ears for corrections by more seasoned speakers, always trying to learn more and get better wherever I can! But hopefully this at least gives an idea/ gets the ball rolling for you!

  3. Awesome! I sorta figured, but just wanted to make sure. What about if you have a unit that is replaced or goes away, EX: like when Matthew leaves in lyn mode (Still don't really understand why they did that aside from story purposes but whatever). Let's say he just never came back though, does the game still think of him as a playable unit, thus taking up a slot? I kinda feel like i already know the answer (As in, yes, he probably would still use a slot) but i figured it was worth some clarification. EDIT: Also, is Merlinus/ merchant slot considered in that 50 limit or is the data for that stored separately?
  4. So thought exercise; this is a pretty straightforward question (and i apologize if this has been answered somewhere before, i wasn't able to find anything on it.) In regards to the 50 Unit limit. Is that enforced whether you recruit characters or not? Hypothetically, lets say i have 60 or so characters and am well over the limit, but on any given Playthrough you are only able to recruit a certain amount of them, or perhaps some only join for a limited time before becoming unplayable and so on; reducing your total number at any given time to 50 or whatever...would that work? Or does the game still have to store data on them thus causing a crash. I have read several different threads on feuniverse and wherever else but none really discuss this aspect of it...if it even is an option.
  5. Can you also rewrite the story too? Fates was such a missed opportunity... Jokes aside, I think this is a really cool project, though im sad to say i dont have any means to play it or anythinng (no access to homebrew hacks or anything) Still, writing a support or two might be fun. In any case, I wish you luck! Even just watching vids of a better fates sounds really exciting!
  6. I kinda feel like a lot of people are grazing over the fact that we've sorta been here already with Hyrule Warriors. Granted, its reveal trailer showed gameplay, but ultimately it was only of Link running around. It started with only the tease of what was expected; eg playing as link in a zelda game/ spinoff/ any medium involving zelda, is a given, but as the game got closer to release more series and characters were added to flesh it out. A formula i kind of expect FE Warriors to follow. By the end of Zelda's lifespan, I was more than pleased with how it was handled when it came to characters and series wide representation (as for the most part, every game got a rep...with the oracle games being fickle cause of the ties with Capcom i suppose) I can't imagine that the same won't be the case with FE Warriors. Above all, this was a Teaser trailer, thats it. Fates and Awakening simply are the best selling games as such have the larger side of the FE Fanbase, so it makes sense to try to draw that crowd in again "hot" off the heels of Fates release. Besides, on Nintendo's side of things; I feel this game would be a safe way to give the older characters a chance to "sell" without having to go all in with a full remake of their game. It's like a low risk high reward way to gauge the desire to localize the older games or even remake them down the road; or perhaps it's a way to throw a bone to the older fans with some actual representation of their favorite characters. To not include them is not only a hugely missed opportunity to gauge or even renew interest in their prior works, but huge slap in the face of those that have stuck with the series since day 1.That all being said, as a huge fan of FE and the Warriors franchise this is so exciting and i can't wait to see more! As for my wishlist: I would honestly just love the main heroes and main villains from every FE ...Which is probably asking a lot but hey, if you're gonna dream, dream big right? Also, Fire emblem Warriors direct just announced for next week! Hype! EDIT: Too slow, Beat me to it...XD
  7. So i read Lamia's guide on insertion and followed it to a T, however for the life of me i can't figure out why the compressor doesn't seem to want to...well, compress it. No matter what i do to the image i made, i can't seem to get it to stay under 51A bytes (Previous mess ups had it at 600 and stuff like that, but that was my own fault as i had gone over the color limit) After fixing that, i've inserted it fine enough following that (Just for the sake of trying it), but due to it going a bit over the size allotted for portraits, it pretty much just wrecks the game as it overwrites Noish's portrait which the game doesn't like. It must be something with the Picture but i can't figure it out. Its correctly 16 colors now, sized and cut up correctly, It's saved as a Bmp, (The one that seemed the closest to working was saving it through Usenti, in which its saved as a 128 x 32 @ 8 bit depth 256 color) The only other thing i can think of is i'm messing something up in Tile layer Pro...I'm using tile layer pro 11, 4bpp, import bitmap. The palette changes (as it should) but otherwise everything looks fine. It's only until i go to compress it that it for some reason keeps going over the limit...(5FF bytes or so...) I've tried Tile molester but for whatever reason it likes to reduce the palette on my imported sprite from 16 down to something like 8 and most of the guides out there aren't very clear on how to prevent that...YY-chr has the same result as TLP 11, as in, it still winds up being 5FF bytes or so which goes over the hex limit of 51A... Huh...didnt know that about the Animation frame limits...good to know...XD But anyway, Talesoffan, not to sound like a jerk, but just using Ctrl + F and typing in what you're looking for by way of the table of contents is a good place to at least start, then if you get hung up on something thats where people can start to help you. Buuuut i went ahead and searched all of em up for you, just this once. ;D Character 6: Character Editor (Overview of the module, its a rather straight forward process honestly) Chapter 42 Portrait insertion with FEditor Adv Chapter 57: Custom Battle Animations - Frames Most tips and tricks are covered within but two really big ones for portraits to keep in mind, experienced spriter or not, is the 16 color limit (15 + 1 trans background color) and the size limit, which i forget the exact number for but there are plenty of templates out there, with a quick google search. I think after you give these a quick try or read and have a more specific problem, there'll be more specific help awaiting. Best of luck!
  9. Its not that hard to do this, but it does take some time. Essentially you need FEditor to insert most of the graphical things/ change text (like for her name and supports) and Nightmare to change starting stats and growth rates. Just approach it one at a time, don't instantly take everything on at once, just do one thing at a time. The ultimate tutorial is a lot to process if you try to sit down and read the whole thing, but its perfect to scroll through, find only what you want and work on just that. Edit: Whoops missed that, Im not sure of the exact number, but its definitely high up there. I've never ran into a problem with having too many frames, simply put. Sorry if that's not too specific. Im really happy with the concept and some of the execution of mine but i think what really did me in was starting it so late (Didnt start till Jan. 24th!) and then midway through the week i then got stomach flu and had to either work through it on some days, or just not at all on other days... It was a grueling week to be sure, so to even turn in what i did was a miracle; but i totally understand why i only got as far as i did. I am hoping to start be more involved here cause the event was fun to be a part of...so i suppose its not a complete loss for me at least?
