  1. The second of Jugdral's 1st Gen knight trio has been completed. Have a Quan. Nature is +DEF/-HP, which is the exact IV set I was looking for. Currently waiting for new variants of his current A and B passives; ideally, I'd like to see him with Brazen Spd/Def and Atk/Spd Link.
  2. Vote cast for Laevatein. A nice design that happens to involve my favorite element, fire. Also, bonus points for her unique attack animation being a sword stab rather than the usual slash.
  3. Thanks to Heroes with Fury, I have finally completed the Lion King. Believe it or not, he is my second most common pity breaker, and I never once drew from the first Ayra banner.
  4. Eldigan: A very regal and imposing design, befitting his status as Nordion's main ruling figure and the leader of one of Jugdral's strongest cavalry brigades. The red, white, and gold color scheme that his design was known for translates rather nicely into Heroes. Both of his attacking and damaged art, especially the latter, do an incredible job of conveying his lionhearted fury; I thought Mystletainn looked beautifully designed here as well. Also true to his character, it makes sense he was designed to look handsome. Bonus points for the Castlevania-esque appearance, too. By far, my favorite art in Heroes done by PenekoR. Rika Suzuki's take on Eldigan in Fire Emblem Cipher looked amazing as well. I don't know if this is an appropriate thread for discussing in-game sprites but I really like how Eldigan's sprite turned out, everything from his expression, the curtains on his horse, and, of course, Mystletainn. Sigurd: For me, Sata's version of Sigurd was definitely a pleasant surprise because I initially didn't think too much of Seliph's art when he was made available in Heroes. As already mentioned in this thread, his Heroes design draws a nice parallel with his official FE4 artwork, retaining just about every feature, except for the pose. Much like Eldigan, it is a very majestic design with the blue, white, and gold color scheme adding to the aesthetic. After seeing how Sigurd turned out in Heroes, I wouldn't mind seeing Sata draw Sigurd again in the future.
  5. Are there any fellow Sigurd supporters in need of a green unit? I'm currently leading with Myrrh (+Def/-Spd) Display Name: Lord Quan ID: 4593120791 I tend to lead using units with mixed bulk and the ability to counterattack from both ranges during VGs. If needed, I can also set Hardin as lead.
  6. I currently have mine equipped with Mirror Strike and Quick Riposte for dual phase utility, though I have been considering transforming him into a dedicated enemy phase magic wall via F!Morgan's Mirror Stance. Mine is also Ally Supported with Ishtar, with the latter carrying Res Tactic in the C slot for better ploying potential.
  7. What are everyone's thoughts on Leif's Heroes art? Do you guys think it is possible IS could have the same artist drawing Quan, considering both Sigurd and Seliph were drawn by the same artist? Ideally, I would like to see Quan drawn by Sachiko Wada; at the same time, however, I wouldn't mind them using Leif's artist as it would make for better consistency and attention to detail.
  8. I'm not sure if there was ever any discussion on this nor if this is considered a fair fight. Curious to know your thoughts on the subject. Camus - leader of Grust's Sable Order vs. Quan - leader of Leonster's Lanzenritter. Both are mounted units wielding legendary weapons, lead a cavalry brigade of their respective countries, and are defined by their black and gold color schemes. Which of the two would emerge victorious if they are to engage each other in a one-on-one encounter?
  9. Dang it, Quan... You almost made it into the Top 100 this time! Still exceeded my expectations, though, going from 270 and becoming the fifth highest ranked Genealogy character. At least there's now a possible Ishtar GHB to look forward to in the future!
  10. All right! Way to go, Quan! He fared much better than I thought he would. The last CYL event had him at 270th place. Now he is tied with Pent at 111-112, making him the fifth highest placing FE4 character behind Ishtar (43), Ayra (45), Sigurd (48), and Lewyn (65).
  11. Most, if not all of my votes would probably go to Quan. I don't know how he would fare in Round 2, but I'm curious to see if his results turn out better or worse than they did the previous year.
  12. Sorry for the late response. Busy work life kept interfering. Anyway, those are some very potent builds, especially the second one. I have just recently started experimenting with the Heavy Blade seal on my +Atk Eldigan as well, and I think this might end up serving him better than Quickened Pulse in the long run since the former can work indefinitely instead of only once per battle. Also, I have just finished the "Paragon Lionheart" build description. The remaining builds will be updated later down the road.
  13. Eldigan is a favorite of mine as well, which is what mostly inspired me to create an analysis page for him. I wish you the best of luck drawing him one day, off-banner or not. I added a fourth build to his analysis just recently, focusing almost exclusively on his physical defense and bulk. Feel free to leave any further feedback and/or criticism.
  14. Your input is most appreciated. I'll remember to note the suggestions once I get to updating. ^-^ As for me recommending the +Spd nature for the Brash Assault/Desperation build, while it is true Brash Assault will ensure consecutive follow-ups when paired with Desperation, I figure that an emphasis on speed would allow Eldigan to consecutively double slower enemies as well during the instances that his HP falls within 50% to 75%. The latter means of activating Desperation may be impractical for a naturally slow unit like Eldigan, but it is certainly doable when factoring in offensive cavalry buffs and other stat boosting sources such as the 2 extra points in speed via Summoner Support.
  15. Overview Rarities: 5* Hero Type: Red Sword Movement Type: Cavalry Origin: Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War Eldigan is designed as a bulky, defensive sword cavalier. Thanks to his natural ability to move up to three spaces per turn, he is able to take advantage of powerful buffs exclusive to cavalry units, such as Hone Cavalry. He is often compared to Xander due to both having nearly identical stat lines, with the latter possessing a few more points in defense but with slightly less HP and resistance. Since Eldigan's greatest drawbacks are his mediocre speed and vulnerability to magical attacks, it is strongly recommended to use him primarily as an enemy phase unit against physical attackers. Players should build his kit in a way that capitalizes on his physical bulkiness in order for him to bait enemies more effectively while retaliating with as much punishment as possible. A common solution for players to remedy his low speed is to use Quick Riposte for his B slot; while it does not prevent faster units from doubling him, this ensures Eldigan can have a follow-up attack, granted that he survives both attacks and that his HP is within the activation threshold when the enemy initiates. Another viable, albeit less flexible, option for offsetting his speed deficiency is to use Swordbreaker, which can be useful for countering the faster sword units that are considered meta, such as Ryoma. Sadly, unlike Xander, Eldigan is unable to retaliate when attacked at range without inheriting Distant Counter for his A slot. What sets Eldigan apart from Xander, however, is the special property granted by his personal weapon, Mystletainn. The reduced cooldown charge for Specials often play a pivotal role in deciding match-ups, even against certain blue units. This is Eldigan's trump card. When paired with other skills like Quick Riposte and Quickened Pulse, 3-turn charge Specials such as Bonfire can be unleashed immediately after a foe makes the first attack. Heavy Blade can also be a neat option for abusing the Special cooldown trigger, especially if the Eldigan was +Atk. With such synergy between his weapon and skills, it is not uncommon to see high cooldown Specials being used on Eldigan, such as Galeforce. Aside from Mystletainn reducing the time it takes for Specials to trigger, Eldigan's access to multiple merges and various IVs are a few advantages he has over Xander. Before Weapon Refinery was introduced, it was widely debated whether Eldigan or Xander is the stronger red cavalier. Now that it is possible for Eldigan to use Distant Counter together with Fury, the answer becomes ever so clearer. Fury 3, +3 HP +5 HP, +2 Mt +5 HP, +2 Spd +5 HP, +2 Def +5 HP, +2 Res Sample Builds Paragon Lionheart Heavy Blade Lionheart Fast and Furious Lionheart Impervious Lionheart Conclusion Eldigan has come a long way since his introduction to the game. At the time of his first banner appearance, he was a highly sought after sword unit, especially for those who were creating cavalry teams. Once Xander became available, Eldigan slowly faded into obscurity, mainly due to the former's ability to counter at any distance being deemed extremely valuable at the time. The arrival of Sigurd did him no favors either as his role as a defensive cavalier was further overshadowed. In spite of an ever changing meta, not all hope was lost for Eldigan. The introduction of Weapon Refinery, Summoner Support, and new skills all benefited him considerably as more and more players are devising new ways to build the character. A highly invested Eldigan can become a very formidable threat. Fun Facts Eldigan is one of the very few sword units in Fire Emblem Heroes whose fourth tier weapon is preceded by Killing Edge, instead of Silver Sword, alongside Mia and Joshua. Eldigan's voice actor in Fire Emblem Heroes, Greg Chun, also provided voice work for Ephraim, Lukas, and both variants of Ike. Revision HIstory
  16. Although a FE6 remake would yield greater profit for the company due to Roy's popularity, I've always wanted to see how the vastness of FE4 would look like when translated and fully realized in high-definition. Heroes, at the very least, acknowledges the existence of the Jugdral games by continuing to add characters from the said saga, with its cast now amounting to 12 characters. I think it helps that some of Genealogy's cast in Heroes ended up being rather solid as units together with overall good art and voice work, which may pique new interest in some fans that were never exposed to this part of the franchise. Imagine if IS pulled a reverse SoV by announcing a FE4 remake after an influx of Jugdral characters were added to Heroes. Though unlikely, that would be amazing. I'm all in favor of a faithful Genealogy or Thracia remake, though at the same time I won't object to any necessary gameplay tweaks.
  17. How many of you would be fine with Gรกe Bolg having the following passives? - Grants ATK/DEF+2 and accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). - Unit takes 4 damage after combat.
  18. What do you guys make of this? From the latest reddit datamine.
  19. I guess he's all right. Never played Blazing Sword, but he has some rather interesting lines in Heroes. It's too bad he's often cast off as Wo Dao fodder, at least from what I've seen. 7/10 Eldigan/Eltshan
  20. Ike x Julia Y. TIki x Nowi Ephraim x Eirika Camus x Eldigan
  21. We could use more dragons, especially if they come with more specialized buffs (i.e. Hone Dragons). I would also like to see them add the remaining Lord characters of the franchise, Sigurd and Leif.
