  1. I was seeing it through the eyes of a Nohr campaign player, where the bosses (assuming that's who would be wielding Dragon's Vein) would be significantly harder to take out, and leaving Fliers and Archers out in the open after taking the enemy down would firstly be no mean feat, and secondly would be an awful strategic faux pas.@SEXUALLY GRATIFYING, it must. I would make it so, but I hath not the technology to do so, my computer is down and I am operating on an iPhone.
  2. I think they'll be more for scouting and debuffing as Ninjas, attacking at a distance with Shurikens or Knives, just strong enough to do enough damage with weak Hidden Weapons to do a bit of damage against relatively bulky units like Cavaliers, or Knights at a higher level, but I think they'll get Swords on promotion, and then they'll turn deadly with high Crit, Hit, Dodgetankyness, and damage output along with still being able to debuff with hidden weapons.
  3. Dragon's Vein sounds like it will be both SEXUALLY GRATIFYING and a hellish nightmare at the same time; imagine if Dragon's Vein effects could be undone by using Dragon's Vein; now imagine an impassible obstacle that has to be removed via Dragon's Vein, but there is some annoying enemy Pegasus Knight or Wyvern Rider (I'm looking at you, boss Hinoka and Camilla) that can use Dragon's Vein, and for every time you remove an obstacle via Dragon's Vein, the enemy Flyer, undaunted by such terrain as Mountains or (for lack of a better word) Ravines, and just keep undoing the effects of Dragon's Vein, turning the map into a game of Dead Man's Volley. Not fun. But on the flip side, crossing a stretch of Sand on a desert level via turning the sand into grassland, and luring the enemy's cavalry in behind you, and then turning it back to sand, making them easy targets and giving your units who fear the great Movement of Cavalry (Archers) a head start if they need to fall back. Destroying bridges your enemy makes would be fun, too, and I'm very curious as to what creating an Earthquake will do...
  4. I hope they keep Marx, it sounds more regal than Max, but if his name is Max, I hope they have a desert level with crazed bandits so I can have him solo it. Also, if Kamui's name is westernized, I hope it is either Alex or Riley, even though I won't be using the default name. I can see the Hoshido names staying as-is, and the other Nohr sibs seem unlikely to change.
  5. So we know that we're getting these classes, but what will they promote into? (RIP Great Butler ;~;) Butler will probably promote into Steward, but Maid is a bit trickier, but I'm thinking Governess (Nobleman's daughter that for some reason had to resort to servitude to support herself) or Housekeeper. Ninjas could just promote into Assassins, but I have a theory that they might have the option to promote into Swordmasters, too. Saizou and Suzake seem to be the Cain and Abel archetypes in the Hoshido game, and Ryouma is a Trueblade, or Swordmaster. He could potentially be an Oifey. The trend among Jeigans and Oifeys seems to be that Cain and Abel are an unpromoted variation of said Jeigan's or Oifey's class, but I don't know. Thoughts?
  6. I'd say Kamui is younger, around 14-15, Takumi and Leon being about the same age as Kamui, Elise and Sakura being 12ish, 13 tops, and the older sibs being 17-20ish.
  7. I knew someone would bring that up. I guess it's because it's always been that way, across most RPGs, and people would find it weird if Female was Default. I don't remember anyone complaining that the Dovahkiin in most of the Skyrim promos was a Male. I guess I just don't get why people are so upset that they are using Male (Default) Kamui in the screenshots, especially when we've had 40 years of RPGs behind us. Seriously. It's the difference of a press of the D-Pad.
  8. If everybody would stop thinking about it as Male Kamui, and more as Default Kamui, life would be soooooo much easier.
  9. I found Leon's quote to be interesting, it's almost as if he's self-concious about not being as strong as Marx or Kamui, or even Camilla. Speaking of Camilla, I wasn't expecting the Henry-esque reaction there.
  10. [/vaike] [/gonzolez] [/barbarians] [/warriors] [/berserkers] [/malesorcs] But seriously, THE ENTIRE Barbarian Class Tree is shirtless, dating back to GBA, and Berserker is wearing a loincloth in Awakening, so.....
  11. Dark Mage --> Sorc or Necromancer (More offense, squishier) pleasepleaseplease!
  12. It makes you go "Gee, I sure like that class, wish my MU could be that class, better make another MU on another save."
  13. *Hem hem historical accuracy in incest and adults x kids* Someone had to say it. I don't really care. They're game characters. Whatever. They are insignificant bits of "1"s and "0"s. If they wanna bang their cousins/siblings/parents/whatevers, why does it matter? I don't see why people let this kind of stuff bug them.
  14. I don't know if this is better in the SSB forum or the FE13 forum, and I don't even know if this has been done before, but whatever. So, my thought is, we could collaborate and make a WiFi team based on the (humanoid) cast of SSB4 using Robins, with classes, weapons, skills, and stats that reflect on their usage in the game, but making sure they're still able to put up a good fight. I'm doing a really bad job of explaining, so I'll give an example. Shulk Class: Swordmaster Asset/Flaw: +Skl/-HP (Based on his stats in Xenoblade, if you are wondering about the Flaw.) Skills: -Rally Spectrum (Monado Arts, except for his fellow Robins instead of for him) -Luna (Back Slash I guess; mostly for Generals) -Wrath (Buster Mode, you deal more damage in exchange for taking more damage) -Vantage (Just because we want to win) -Counter (Vision) I still need a weapon that looks like the Monado, but I guess a Brave Sword kinda works? Get it? Cool! Another I've come up with is: Link Class: Bow Knight, 'cause Ocarina of Time. Asset/Flaw: +Str/-Mag Skills: -Swordfaerie -Bowfaerie -Aegis (His Hylian Shield) -Astra (His Hero's Spin or whatever you call it) -Agressor (Because he's powerful offensively, but is succeptible to attacks due to his big lag after using a Combo or a Special) Don't know what would really look like the Master Sword, but he'll probably wind up using a Brave Sword anyhow. A Brave Bow should suffice outside of Swords. Also, the Mario Bros. could be Dread Fighters (Hammers and Fire Tomes), and Luigi would have +Spd -Skl and Mario would have something like +Skl -Spd or something to mirror their SSB counterparts. If this seems interesting to you, feel free to contribute to the brainstorming!
  15. And Marx and Ryouma (Possible Paladin and Swordmaster, respectively), who are possible Jeigans/Oifeys, mirror the trend of the Jeigan/Oifey being promoted forms of the Cain and Abel archetypes, assuming that's what Saizou and Greenie are. I could see Ninjas branching into Assassins or Samurai/Swordmasters/Lobsters/whatever Ryouma is.
  16. It'd be cool if each class had an "innate skill" that couldn't be transferred between classes, such as +15% Crit for Swordmasters. It could be a weaker version of the skill in a base class, like Crit +5 for Myrms, but Crit +15 for Swordmasters and (?) GBA style Lethality for Assassins. Maybe an inferior Armsthrift for Mercs, but the full-blown one for Heroes. Although, if given the choice, I'd like Personal Skills instead.
  17. Both Ryouma (we gotta find a way to shorten his name) and Marx, and AB, for that matter, seem really patriotic and "muh country is always furst"-ish, kinda like Marth's "I am a prince before I am a son or brother". I do also agree with Asoleos, it's a do-or-die situation for Ryouma and Marx, considering that a battle will insue as soon as Kamui picks a side, putting both their families in danger, and also Kamui would certainly need to be dispatched, as having a badass sword wielding dragonboy/girl as your enemy would put your side at a pretty big disadvantage.
  18. Why does Kamui look like he's in pain/he's constipated in his picture? Is it because he knows he's gonna get wrecked by the 8+7 damage?
  19. I kinda want Villager Donny/Merchant Anna/Lord Ephraim/Other Lance User as DLC. I doubt it, though. If Donny is ever in there, his final smash has to be that he calls upon his mom to give somebody the beat down, Robin and Chrom style.
  20. Pew pew~ If this movie does not live up to my expectations, Abrams will for ever bear the shameful title of "Jar Jar Abrams".
  21. Quick question... What's with the fixation on Roy? Is he really that popular in Japan? I haven't played his games, to be honest, but from what I've seen from his personality that even Eliwood sounds more interesting, and he was bland.
  22. I'd like it to be a way for Hoshido to keep their beloved peace... By unleashing the legions of hell upon all that threaten it!!!
  23. I'm fine with Casual, it helps ease new players in, therefore increasing sales, therefore increasing the likelihood of having a release outside of Japan. It's optional, too, so I don't see the big ol' deal with it. Also, maybe weapons don't degrade in casual any more, so that's why it didn't show duribility in the trailers?
  24. "HEALER!!! I need a healer!" -Freddy "I don't get into politics. I just wanna toss fire balls at bad guys." "Wizard fight! Wizard fight! Yaaaaay!" "Nope! Not me! Although I do own a cloak and a couple of daggers." And everything else that Henry says. Owain.
  25. All this Camilla hate... IT GNAWS AT MY SOUL! ;^; I honestly like her, and I mean HER, as in HER, the PERSON, not just the boobies. She seems genuinely caring and kind. I dunno what's up with her sexy walk thingy, but it's probably not even gonna be in-game, and is just marketing. Don't hate her because she is beautiful! It's not her fault that Kozaki gave her those threads! Look past the boobies, and the panty window, into the beautiful soul within!
