  1. Remind me to record this after the RH I do after TFK, I actually wanna get this one done I remember playing this fully when it was TactHack, and I'm gonna start following this again when I have more time out of school (Literally next week)
  2. Literally has a Hack Tutorial Series on my channel I remember playing like half of the prologue to this back when it was Spreading Flames. I kinda wanna play through it when I finish The Fallen King
  3. 1 is more efficient to most users
  4. First off, I would highly suggest switching to Arch's tutorial killer. Second, Try re-opening the rom in FEditor and saving. That helps sometimes
  5. I think arch said 15x10 was the minimum for FE7, but it was different for FE8 (Don't quote me, it's been over a year since I even looked into actual Rom Hacking) Look at Primefusion's Map gallery, and probably some other galleries. Compare those maps to yours. I'm not saying that you should copy their maps exactly, but take inspiration on the layout of them: Tile placement, and layout of the map in general. Same with the portraits. Zim commented on this, and I agree with him. Cameos aren't that good, at least for the concept threads. 20 concepts may have the same character, but the chance of all 20 Rom Hacks making it out of concepts, with actual work being put into them is slim at best. I say it's always best to work alone until you have significant progress. No units created by others. No units used in other Rom Hacks. Just your units until you can actually get a release going. And if you don't take the advice from Zim, take it from me. Back when I had plans of Rom Hacking, I was to lazy to get anything done by myself. 90% of my mugs were recolors of Nickt's collection (as far as I know, recoloring was allowed, I can't remember). I made I wanna say a dime of custom portraits. I didn't make one map (Palette switches of Vanilla maps are good for PLACEHOLDERS, but not official maps, OR important maps), and the events were shoddy at best. If you start taking from others before putting any work in, you'll start to do it more and more until you take too much, and have no motivation to bring this out of concepts without forcing others to do the dirty work.
  6. Uploaded a tutorial on Map Sprite Insertion that explains some things a lot of other tutorials didn't mention. Will probably redo soon enough. I was lucky I figured it out at all
  7. If you PM me, I can give you some help with getting your project up: Essentials, tutorials and whatnot that you're expected to find out on your own lmao
  8. Would there be a way to get the portrait of you that's been in multiple submissions so far?
  9. I didn't know you could do it in that way. I thought you needed chapter offsets to disassemble the events
  10. Brave is renamed to Hero The "Emblem" Weapons (I think they have a different name in this) lose effectiveness to monsters and become indestructable, but cannot critical and have one less mt than Iron
  11. Alright, this is a weird question, considering that this has no real value for a lot of people, but I started thinking about this as I plan to release a "Reskin" of FE7 in the near future (It technically IS a reskin, but I plan on making it a little more unique). Is there anywhere I can find the default events for FE7 without disassembling them in the Event Assembler. I did a brief search, and found nothing, but I was wondering if there was anything out there.
  12. Gonna go ahead and play through this after I finish TGA v1.1 and the pre release patch for BoN. Seems like an interesting hack, and I'm excited to be playing it to be completely honest :D
  13. Alright, so because I've started working on a small Rom Hack (Release date for the demo is going to be sometime in late 2060) and I have trouble remembering SOME aspects of Rom Hacking (Mainly Eventing, but I'll probably forget a lot more as time passes), I've decided to make a Rom Hacking Tutorial sort of series on my YouTube channel. These sorts of videos will pop up as I see they're important, and the first tutorial posted is probably one of the more needed ones since the SF update killed Astra's tutorial (Though immediately after finishing this post, I found one he did on YouTube that I didn't know about), and I don't think that there's another tutorial for it on YouTube as of now: Weapon Icon Editing. A lot of people know how to do it, but some of the newer Rom Hackers obviously don't know how to, and I want to help out the new rom hacking community in any way possible, as people like Arch and Ghast are getting more and more slim as days go by ;-; Feel free to request a tutorial if one is needed Weapon Icon Editing Tutorial MAP SPRITE INSERTION
  14. "And we are set for the final release in 2030"
  15. I already have plans to get videos up starting release date
  16. Make allah Do a portrait of Sigurd
  17. From what I've heard, FE1-5 had a 1 RNG system, and basically, if there's a chance something will hit, it'll hit or something along those lines. As of FE6, there's a 2 RNG system or something, where the RNG is determined by different movements, but'll stay the same unless other manipulations happen //Don't quote me on it though, as I probably gave a completely wrong answer
  18. Emulation is basically playing the game on your computer. All you need to do is google "GCN/WII Emulator" and find the emulator that works best for you, then finding a copy of the rom you want to play.
  19. Literally look in the "Fan Projects" Section. All you'll need to know about rom Hacking should be there, and what's not will be on FEUniverse
  20. Pretty sure someone already Commented on who Seth should be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbMpCf0Unyk try that
  21. I'm gonna go ahead and jump right into the chase, some of you know me, some of you don't. I used to be an immature shit named Matt Custov, now I've dropped the alias, and I don't plan on picking it up again. I'm doing a Pick My Edits run of Fire Emblem Sacred Stones. Basically, comment on the video linked below, and whenever I finish one of my ongoing projects (Pokemon Silver Ranomized or Final Fantasy I) I'll get all of that set up, and play through the rom you guys want to see me play through Announcement video CHECK OUT MY OTHER WORK:
  22. What I meant was "Change the palettes of Charizard" Don't actually do it, but reverse the palettes of Charizard so he always looks Shiny to the player. Would make the game funnier as everyone who sees a Charizard flip their shit ("OMFG, I JUST FOUND A SHINY CHARIZARD"), but anyone who played it would be over shiny pokemon as a whole lmao
  23. Going to Let's Play this on my channel. Starting Tuesday, I'll post it every weekday until I finish Patch 1.2 Note that at the end of Every chapter I'll be giving you constructive criticism on every aspect I dislike about the hack, and you don't specifically have to change it. I'll keep bugs in, but try to keep anything irrelevant to actual gameplay out of the series.
  24. Starting a Nuzlocke on release date Aside from that clearly breaking news report, this seems pretty cool, but It'll be 0/10 unless you make 100% of Charizard's shiny.
