  1. I thought the same but it also kind of makes him look sleep deprived and a bit crazy which about sums him up in Elibian Nights. XD Well I'm pretty positive Arch isn't going to use it and if he were by some crazy chance I'm sure he'd give credit where it's due. I was just using it as an example so I don't see how anything further is necessary unless I or someone else was serious about using it, but to make you happy I did edit in the name of the original poster :)
  2. Ahh I gotcha now. Though I'm not entirely sure the game is forgetting them, it's very....buggy. Ya see I can hit R and scroll through the characters until I find the ones at the end they just aren't being displayed for use. It's odd, it's like they exist but they just aren't being shown in character select. Furthermore I can reset the ROM and they'll all be displayed fine but if I back out of the menu and go back in they either aren't there again or one of them has duplicated to cover all of the spots (for example if pent and 2 other characters aren't being shown, 3 pents will be shown instead). So I wouldn't say it's forgetting them per say but it definitely is having struggles.

I'm only going about 2 or 3 characters over, it isn't too many for sure but for cleanliness and not wanting it to chop the last two characters off for the final chapter I think I'll just quickly figure this out. I hate being that guy who doesn't know jackshit but unfortunately I don't know jackshit. Can you let me know what type of program I'd need to use? (HxD, Nightmare, FEditor, one I don't know of, etc)? And then explain where to go and what I'm trying to do? If you don't want to go through the time of typing me a guide (I wouldnt either, I dont blame you) then can you let me know where the proper tutorial is? I just did at least 20 google searches looking for this information but it seems to be a little too obscure to find or I'm not looking in the right places.

  5. So I added in a bunch of characters and after a while I noticed that some of them were being cut off from the character select screen, I presume due to maxing out the character slots provided for the game, does anyone know how to add more?
  6. Lol Joshua basically soloed the game for me every time xD I just got him to a lvl 20 swordmaster in the tower of valni as soon as it was unlocked and I didn't need anyone else after that.

  9. Thanks for the heads up. Mostly because it looks closer to the halberdier from radiant dawn and path of radiance and because I like Ephraim's animation more than the other one, but that's just my opinion. The other one's cool but Bonestorm's just hits home with what I'm looking for.
  10. Same, It'd save the trouble of having to go to two different locations to get both parts. Plus I'm not sure where to hunt down the Ranger or Bonestorm's halberdier map sprites(if they exist) so it'd be beneficial in the regards of pinpointing where map sprites for classes like these are located.
  11. Thanks for the help y'all. That was mostly what I was trying to find out by making the thread. My apologies if I offended anyone's hard work I was just asking if there were any that people didn't mind sharing that weren't already posted, I wasn't sure if there were more beyond the FEditor animations thread, it was worth asking :) Will do. I have no idea how to publicize my projects anyways so I wouldn't be trying to push it off as my own work or anything it was mostly just me wanting to use it for my own private use. But thanks for the info guys.
  12. I'm remaking (more like remade as it is already finished, 200+ hours woohoo) FE7 to flow into Elibian Nights better. Basically allowing Lowen to promote to great knight, Matthew to rogue, referencing events that will happen in Elibian nights and events that happened in fe7x (mentioning of Toni and Shen and such) etc. Then making characters like natalie playable as well as expanding the story a great deal with characters who weren't originally designed to live. Don't worry their reason for not appearing or being referenced in Elibian Nights is all explained.
  13. Nope, I'm not asking anyone to make anything. I'm looking to see if anyone knows where I can get any sort of animation close to what I have listed. I saw a bunch of great ones on youtube and in hacks I've played like fe7x, last promise, midnight sun, devourer of worlds and fe7if but obviously there's no download link. The picture I posted is just a demonstration of what I would be looking for.
  14. Hey! First of all I don't know where this kind of topic should go seeing as how its a question/request about hacking resources so if it needs to be moved please do so. But anyways I'm working on remaking fe7 to be frank and I'm hoping to find some good custom animations I can download and insert (as I'm not to my knowledge very animation/pixel art/sprite/what have you savvy) to spice it up. I'm not asking for animations from scratch as I'm not in a position to pay anyone for them and I know how tough that can be. But without further ado here are some ideas about what I'm currently looking for: (I know some of them probably aren't public/ don't exist but if you have any personally or know of someone who has some and wouldnt mind me using them I would love a link to the download or page that has them. And yes I've looked at whats available on FEuniverse and on the topic here and I loved alot of them but I'm looking for a few more) So Firstly any reskins of current classes (here's an example I know these particular ones aren't actually in existence) that generally improve off of the old ones I would love to use. (The Shadow Dragon Armorknight, fighter, and swordmaster animations were awesome). But aside from that I'm also looking for: An Uther (as an adult in fe7) animation(I'm currently using the sword half of hectors great lord class) something like the zweihander class from fe7x would be awesome Basically any fe7x/last promise animations that are open to the public use/ possible to use would be great preferably Kelik, Tekun, Siegfried, at the endgame, zweihander, etc Any alternate/replacement animations (not style of the class but actual animation) for the following: Mercenary (less flips and more "Jesus this sword is heavy" would be great), myrmidon (something more like Lyn's lord class), assassin (something more detailed and not showing the stomach), General (Less awkward and huge), Hero (Again less flips, I'm looking for something more like cloud strife and less acrobat meets knight) and brigand (looking for one that looks more civil, maybe standing upright and no not the armored one) A tactician, peer, queen, and prince zephiel animation Maybe a ninian as a dragon animation? An eliwood with durandal animation for his unpromoted class and likewise with hector and armads A better more katana themed sol katti animation for Lyn's great lord class A horseless paladin/cavalier animation And a sephiroth animation Honestly I would love to look at anything you guys have. These are just some concepts and ideas about what I would like to have and I know this is a very broad and mostly unobtainable/non existent or non public list but I figured it wouldn't hurt to see if someone happens to have one that fits with what I'm searching for and is ok to use. You never know. Here's mostly what I'm looking for but I would love to see anything custom, I can pretty much use anything.

  16. I was using 00DD0000 for standing, then I believe I used 00DD0160 for the moving. My second try (that didn't cause the terrible crash) I used 00DD0180 for the moving and it appears to function now.

In GBAGE I went to windows then image control and import a bit map which is where I then went to an offset that wasn't being used and imported my standing map sprite then I went to the end of the standing map sprite's usage in HxD and imported my moving sprite to that offset and yes I made sure the condensed graphics box was checked. After looking into it a while I'm thinking that the most likely cause might have been overlapping my standing and moving map sprite in HxD. I think I might have used an offset for the moving sprite that was being used by the newly imported standing sprite and then the game just took the liberty to rip itself apart from there, I'm thinking this because I repeated my process again with a fresh rom however I used a different offset for the moving (one that was a bit more distanced from the standing) and everything now seems to be working perfectly well. So all-in-all I think it was a problem with the offsets I used for the map sprites.

I guess I'll use this template thing to introduce myself lol Online name: I'm RennacIsUnderrated and I chose that because FE8 was one of my first video games I ever owned (and my first FE I ever owned) and Rennac was always a favorite character of mine because he had my favorite class (Rogue ftw) and he was always so overlooked. I mean it took L'Arachel forever to realize he was even missing! Real name: My real name is Drake like the breed of dragon not like the duck lol. Favourite FE Game: Sacred Stones, my best childhood memories were spent playing this hidden gem. Favourite Game (other than FE): Halo 3, it's a classic. Favourite FE Character: Probably Joshua, he was the first Myrmidon I ever used and I thought they were the dopest class ever, not to mention Joshua is OP as hell. Least Favourite game: Is there such a thing? Sports: I played varsity soccer through high school and still play a bit now. Country: Good ol' Amurica Hobbies: I'm an exercise/fitness nut primarily and then there's ROM Hacking. Boy is it a ton of fun. And that's about it. Fire emblem was my childhood and it's nice to go back and play my old favorites and after discovering a community that enjoyed expanding on the great story of Fire Emblem for the best system it ever ran on (in my opinion) I was sold on making an account and joining in.
  20. oops I thought it was, my apologies, can I move it there? I started with opening FEditor normally and I inserted some animations over the pre-existing Lyn lord animation and cavalier animation for testing. After inserting the animations I opened GBAGE (The only time I had multiple editors open was when I had HxD and Nightmare open at the same time so I could insert the right pointer) and in GBAGE I imported a custom map sprite in both standing and moving form but before that I had opened HxD and found empty space to import it to. Then I went into Nightmare and opened the standing and misc map sprite editor and replaced the old map sprite pointers with the pointer that contained my new map sprite. I then decided I wanted to change the animation I was using so I opened FEditor again and loaded my rom, all of the options were greyed out and so I thought it must need the checksum reset so I tried to save and reload but the save was greyed out too. I did not have them all open at once to my knowledge and I saved them in the order of Feditor,GBAGE,Nightmare,GBAGE,Nightmare, and then FEditor shut down. I just tried running it in VBA and now when it loads the screen goes white and it makes that god awful "You done fucked up A-Aron" sound. I'm not trying to salvage the rom, its obviously messed up to hell and back now, but I would like to know what I did wrong so I don't repeat the error again.
  21. Ummmm....did it wrong didn't I? As you can see it works when the cursor is on her but whenever it is off it glitches bad. Edit: I had the size of the map sprite set too big, it should have been 16x16 and I had it set at 32x32.
  22. I did some simple GBAGE and Custom animation insertions as well as some HxD editing to my rom and now it won't open in FEditor, I've heard about this alot. How exactly do you fix this issue?
