Wow. Hubert is incredibly low. He is much better then Linhardt, who only gets utility upon reaching A(!) in Faith. In the mean time him and Lysithea can nuke things with Dark Spikes, even when Linhardt gets Warp, his range will be low ish. Even then, how do you explain the large gap between Linhardt and other Warp user Manuela? Can't be availability only. Should be on top of B at least. Other mages like Annette aren't all that different from Linhardt either, did you get a really blessed one in your house? Mercedes should be a bit higher, but meh.

This for sure... luckily I still have the "boots" item to cover for my loss.

I picked Flayn on my BE Edelgard route... highly regretting it. Should've picked Annette, Marianne or Dorothea. Warp with Lysithea, dance for Lysithea, Warp Lysithea with Linhardt, Warp with Lysithea again to kill the boss. GG Fire Emblem.

I did just reload/retry to get a critical hit from Bylith. She had 10% chance with Grounder. Lysithea with Dark Spikes should do heavy damage too. You get three Dark Seals, so one is kinda wasted anyway.

So, I chose to side with Edelgard. But lose Flayn in the process (who was my dancer). Because of this, she had the March Ring equipped. I didn't notice before, but she took the ring with her?! Is it normal to lose the equipment of leaving units? Or only for Flayn?

Do learned "classes" carry over? Or do we really need to buy the weapon ranks and such? Got some lucky 30% exams, would be terrible to redo them...

I tried armor knight for a bit, but the lack of movement and especially low speed is killing it for me. I could give her the March ring or movement+2 item, but her speed was horrible from the start. Most likely she is speed screwed. As stated, went with Edelgard... shouldn't anyone have stated that I would lose Flayn on this route?! I had a dancer "debate" earlier, but never crossed my mind I could lose the only Dancer... owh well... lesson learned. Just fought the first battle against Rhea, need to still finish it(need a bit luck to ORKO her), but stalled the fight for the Blessed bow, was it worth it? More team members I lose any time soon? And I guess Hilda won't be joining?

Thx for the help, but at the point that I picked Edelgard her side. Not a real surprise at the tombs, or was that just me? Saw that coming for ages... Decided to drop Linhardt (with his crappy low ranged Warp) and Sylvain. Mercedes is the only healer I really need with the huge range of Fortify.

Any Master classes worth getting? Most of my units are having an hard time getting to advanced already, like Felix, who has great stats but not the weapon ranks. Edelgard is on the same both. Even Sylvain, Petra, Ingrid and Ferdinand will need some grinding in bad classes to ever hoping to succeed a master exam. Why are axes so popular anyway...

Did I miss the Fa news, or aren't there any brave heroes this year? They always showed up early/mid August, right? Been saving orbs for it, even went slow on last mystic banner, while normally I go all out on it. Also seeing the calendar makes it seem like there won't be any braves any time soon. Any one knows if there will still be a batch coming?

Made Flayn my dancer, just because of Rescue. Might aswell have picked Linhardt, which is my back up healer. Already level 21 and at his advanced class. Not that his combat is noticeable, but now he can at least use Warp twice. I pumped the MAG stat of Lysithea, with this she can just Warp Byleth to the boss and kill him. Came in handy with saving all the villagers in Felix' paralogue. It seems I didn't do well on planning my units classes. Most units can't promote to an advanced class because there weapon ranks are everywhere.... Still enough time to catch up on this? Just finished demonic beast battle last night.

I didn't bother before, but is Cyril recruitable? Do I need B support for him as well?

Wouldn't Manuella be a better option then? She should get Warp, right? Or will she be unable to get the class?

Almost at the point to pick the "dancer" who is most suited? Uses magic, right? Should I pick Annette, who I have not been using, but has a highish level and decent stats? Or just someone from my base team? I don't think a dancer should attack / support but rather just dance every single turn XD

Ingrid came in with massive speed. Almost as speedy as Petra, but with more RES. Hubert made up for his slow start and now on pair with Lysithea. Both lack a good healing spell though. Leonie as an archer rocks. Didn't know her base level was this high, thought she would start with E ranks. Both great assets. Linhardt is falling behind quickly. With Warp having only a single use, he is actually a worse Mercedes. Very good early game though, maybe I should've kept Dorothea. Sylvain also becoming worse like every chapter. Maybe unlucky with his growths, but base Felix and Leonie blew him out of the water. Ferdinand is really good. Thinking he is massive RNG blessed. My Edelgard has still 11 speed, which is by far my slowest unit. She is currently a lord. Will Warp ever come in handy with Linhardt? He has poor range. Anyone else disappointed by the base stats of Flayn and Shamir?

Shamir requires lv.15 Can Leonie be recruited with support, because her B isn't loading for me...

I've had mixed experiences with Bernie. But she isn't an amazing unit from what I have seen. I do think she has potential, but most likely best to recruit her later in the game, when flier appear and she gets an easier time killing things. No clue what her Crest skill % is, but only seen it twice. Leonie not better suited to use a lance? Not looking forward to train up a weapon skill mid-game, how bad is Ignatz?

Finally got to beat the Death Knight with a critical hit. At first it was only 2% crit rate, but after two resets it went to 10%? No clue who gave the crit boost, also my accuracy was almost 80%. Really weird. Didn't use any gambit before the Grounder with Steel Sword+. Should I use the seal right away? Or wait for a more advanced class? I believe I need a second dark seal otherwise? Wanted to recruit Ashe before this chapter to save the keys for money, but failed. Recruit only Lys, who didn't reached A times in time. Sylvain and Lorenz. Last had poor stats, but received a perfect level up last chapter. Any other archer I can get? Dorothea and her are just chipping, both lv2 while the rest is 8~9. Edelgard and Byleth promoted after this chapter.

No clue on teachers, but students "only" require B support. You can get several a month, just got Ingrid and Mercedes. Not in the same week though. Any one got Hilda early on with the B trick? Got Hilda to B before Lonato fight. But after four reload, still no request to join my side. What is the earliest chapter she joined for everyone? Trying to get her to A support and try more... to bad she won't accept gifts.

As mentioned, Hubert is really slow, most likely being RNG screwed every single time. Level 8 with 8 speed isn't very impressive. I can tell by their growth rates that Hubert should be better then Linhardt. But early physic on him, paired with Wind makes him a good early mage. I can see him falling off mid-game. Ingrid does well as a peg. knight ? Will she be better then Petra and/or Leonie ? Wow, Close counter is back ? Didn't know that. Maybe the main reason I didn't have any archers. Maybe get Bernie to work then. I used magic for chipping, which worked really well. Only had Sylvain, Ferdinand, Bylith and Edelgard as tanks right now XD

Hi all, Currently playing Black Eagles on Hard, but it gets harder and harder, mainly because I've spread my EXP too thin it seems... So, thinking about a restart, just to feel a bit stronger. Want to try to critical hit a certain enemy early in the game (for the Dark Seal) with Byleth, but a higher level and better class would help. I was a myrmidon, which felt underwhelming. Also getting one shotted with everyone was very depressing. But maybe this is how it is meant to be ? Most of my party just reached Lv5 before this chapter (with the help of some boss grinding...), which is madness. Currently recruiting units, which are like two or three levels higher, which might indicate that my level is too low. Also the suggested chapter levels are way higher than what I currently am. All in all, a bit frustrating, I don't want to move like a turtle every map... With the reset, I also want to prioritize my recruits from other houses. Right now I went for all the magic ones, just because the "real" goals for them seemed unrealistic. Not sure how to raise skills like Charm. Any easy way? If not, then I need to achieve a B-support with a lot of units, not that its hard to do, but after so many dinners and singing it gets boring. Still, I want to recruit each and every possible student. Teachers are no priority to me, unless they are much stronger then any student. Which seems unlikely to me. Since I already have Edelgard and Byleth, which other 8 units should I prioritize over the others ? Main team seems to consist of 10 units most of the time? Was thinking: 1. Felix, good strength and speed growths. Main units lacking is physical attack. 2. Sylvain, same as above. Main cavalier/paladin with Ferdinand. 3. Ferdinand, see above. 4. Lysithea, amazing magic. 5. Linhardt, great early mage (early physic and wind) after a rough start. Gets Warp eventually. 6. Petra, swift and good strength. 7. Leonie, good personal and like Petra. 8. Mercedes, best healer I guess. Not sure if she can be more then that. With those, I lose out on Hubert, which is never been really impressive thus far. Maybe he got RNG screwed early on? Later on Hilda, Flayn and Shamir seem like useful units. But no clue when I get them. Bernadetta seems like the hidden gem of this game, but not really sure if I should put any effort in her. Her crest ability seems useful. As for now, I got a bit crazy on mages and recruited Annette, which is like a lesser version of Linhardt/Dorothea, Mercedes (which is only good at healing?) and Lysithea. Offcourse I also got Sylvain for free (female MC). Any units without a crest usable ? Any major unit I am forgetting? Should I get them all early on? Or spread EXP thicker and recruit later, so that their auto level is higher ? Thanks, ps. Who to use the Dark seal on?

Since Hilda seems the hardest to recruit, shouldn't we be using each support on her early game? I know she can be picked in all first "mission" sessions and you can at least talk to her once... also, seems like F!Builth has an easier time to bond, I get better messages early then I got with the Male counterpart.

Even though you mention a Sophie with a lot of DLC skills, she can be pretty decent without. I do believe she is much better in BR. That game much less horses, thus making her more useful. In CQ she is just another unit. Not too sure about REV, as I still need to tackle that. But I believe Silas is top tier in that game, so most likely Sophie will be.

You should use your first Heart Seal on him. Paladin Jakob is amazing. Also the early E-ranks aren't a problem, but might be less amazing if staying in Butler for too long.

Bronze weapons won't let you activate skills. You can also not crit. with them. They also cost money, better spend elsewhere. From top of my head, a +2 Bronze is a bit weaker then a +1 Iron. Which is twice(?) as cheap, as you only need two copies, instead of four. Last, you cannot forge unlimited. Early game its only +1, early mid +2 etc. Can't really recall chapters though.
