  1. So I'm going to drop this here to explain a chunk of what's held me back from working more on this because at this point you all deserve to know. It's... kind of heavy though, and I've been avoiding bringing it up simply because I just want this anxiety to be over. Aside from the various instances of being unable to due to one team member or another being unable to work, which are the main instances I've brought up here, it was also extreme anxiety. Basically, stress and anxiety within the Jugdral fandom turned me away from having the passion to keep the project going properly, smoothly and on time. Evidently people have forgotten, or just do not care, that I'm a normal human being and that emotion and anxiety comes with that, and that treating people in certain ways can have lasting effects. As mentioned before, there's still background work going on, but I haven't released anything due to simply being terrified of even engaging with the Jugdral fandom. I do still want to work on the Jugdral projects, so it's not that my love for the series faded. It's been apprehension. That's not to say everything is canceled, but I don't think I'll ever be putting myself out there anymore with any Jugdral work on other platforms. Posting the projects here on SF I'm okay with and will do when anything is ready, but I made the mistake of being a normal person and engaging with the wider world of the internet some five years ago and it's really messed me up. I was younger then and more passionate about getting this work around where I could, but at this point I would be okay with it just here via links (and as mentioned before, I may have to move it off Mega one day for reasons that were mentioned in the original post, so I'll update the links at that time). I'm sorry to everyone who has waited on the work this team has done (and big shoutout to our translator because they're still working on this in between a lot of other FE projects), and I appreciate the kind comments throughout the years since we began this project. It may take a while yet for my anxiety to let me get back to regular work on this project, but I still want to and I hope when that times comes if it comes which I hope it does, that at least some of you will be there still to appreciate the work of each member and to just love the manga as a whole for what it is. If things go well for the FE5 manga, I want to continue that one too, and that one has been in the same situation as this one. Cheers (/s) to being human, I guess. Thank you all for your support and I hope to have this manga completed one day. I know there are other teams out there, but this team's work is, well, this team's work, and we still have the desire to finish what we, well, continued. I hope some of you reread this manga one day only to find all the chapters completed here. I still love this continent and its characters as well as your support.
  2. I'm happy to hear that and I appreciate it! We're still getting things cleaned and we have a chunk of things worked on, so I'll try to get to those on the typesetting end and get them on the main page. We have the translation worked on at least through all of volume fourteen and a lot of cleaning behind that. It's been long enough that we've worked on this that I'm hoping it'll be done soon, and I'm hoping no other future projects end up like this if we keep those going at this point (which I want to but I'm also concerned about all the delays again). For now at the very least we thankfully have things I can get to. Also spoke to CoD about the project again so hopefully that works out too! She's had a full time job so we'll see where that all goes.
  3. Fixed chapter 68 a decent bit. I didn't edit it entirely because it's not a new chapter, but I think I worked on parts of 67-70 on a laptop (which would be all of 67/68), and I'm also not sure what happened to some of the pages' quality along the way (particularly in 68). I won't be fixing the page quality right now if I do at all because it would mean redoing all those pages from scratch entirely and to be totally honest I have no idea how they got like that in the first place. Regarding the typesetting, it might have been the size of my monitor from being on a laptop - at this point I can't remember - but the font size was 18 and it looks horrible (by comparison, my standard font size is 13 and I change the size based on bubble size or expressive dialogue). I didn't edit every single bubble's size because it's a bit of work for a chapter that's older now, so anything I can "pass off" as making the font larger by the conversation, I left as it was. I also edited the dark levels (the black colors) because some of them were noticeably off. Ngl I have no idea how I passed these chapters off as "this looks fine" when I worked on them back then lmao. If you're looking for a slightly better look to chapter 68, it's up and ready to be downloaded. I'm not using a laptop right now for the current chapters bless it all so we're back to actually reasonable font sizes! Chapter 70 is in the works and in the last stage of said works so it won't be too long before it's finished. We've made generally good time with the cleaning for volume 13 as well, so it shouldn't take too long for 12 and 13 to be finished. Chapter 71 might or might not be on the slower side because it's a gross mess of redrawing, but after that several chapters have definitely made good time for being cleaned. Volume 14 is almost completely finished with translation as well, so we thankfully won't have to wait for releasing chapters up through that volume at this point in time, assuming no severe life occurrences happen to his team again (I know I kept saying things like "busy" but it was a lot worse than that most of the time and if we could've worked on the chapters, we would've). Happy Jugdraling to you all!
  4. See, I meant it when I said very soon! 😄😄😄 Chapter 69 is up! Also, as mentioned above, volume ten is fully available again now too. I'll be getting the others up in due time. No bad bumps in the road anymore, world, pleaseeee! 🙏🙏🙏
  5. Aside from Pat here, I've picked up another cleaner recently who quickly got to work on cleaning, so I should have a chapter ready very soon! @LeifOfLeonsterTranslationshas only one more chapter left to translate for volume fourteen, and chapter 70 is in the works by 69's other cleaner. Beyond that a lot of the cleaning is a bit scattered, but thankfully that means some of the work is already done. Next chapter will be out very soon (like for really real this time, because I have all the cleaned pages on hand lol). I'm also working on getting 62-66 back up, but I've gone through absolutely everything I have of my backups and it doesn't seem I have any of those chapters except for on my old hard drive, so for now (and until I can either get them off that hard drive or if I ever see the need to edit those chapters) I'm going to have to use online copies of them. Edit: Volume 10 is fully up now!
  6. Yeah, we wouldn't drop our quality without mentioning it, like when I mentioned I might be willing to do early and incomplete releases visually. If we get enough cleaners that I don't have to do that then that's even better, but I couldn't live with myself if I had such a massive dip in quality without a word about it lol. You can tell if it's our releases because the credits will always have our team name on it and it would say on the forum that it was released. Those chapters were just uploaded onto third party manga websites, but my uploads all go to mega.nz and are linked here on the first page, so if you don't see a chapter listed here then my team didn't work on it yet. If I do release any chapters early, the quality won't be extremely poor or anything. The only pages that will look meh are the ones that require redrawing (double spreads, images too close to the book spine, spots with text that has to get removed, etc.), and even those I'll at least somewhat level so the page isn't totally raw. But again, if we do get enough cleaners (or said cleaners have enough time and are willing to do some faster work) in the near future then we can hopefully just do full releases and not visually incomplete! The woes of me being capable of merely drawing a stick figure. Sometimes I can do that right, at least. Sometimes.
  7. Hey! Thank you for the kind words! I'd like to point out that we're not at chapter 74 - my team is at 69 and we're going to do some small cleaning changes to the past couple chapters, and I've got some work in on 70. For clarification, I was informed by a different team translator than the one who has spoken here on the forum (one that I have different plans with than the current chapters) that another group did a recent release; however I do not support genuinely illegal methods of releasing chapters and I do not support paying people or taking money from people for an intellectual property that is not owned by that person. From what I saw the chapter was commissioned, but it 100% had nothing to do with my team and I would never allow someone to pay us to translate an IP that does not belong to us (and considering the quality they paid for, well... I wouldn't say I have an ego because I'm aware we do quality work, but that chapter was missing punctuation, had poor grammar, was not cleaned, and had horrible typesetting just off the few screenshots I was shown). Lesson learned, kids: don't pay for manga scanlations. It's illegal and it's a ripoff, and even more so a ripoff when a team is doing good work for free). They also had the gall to steal our credits concept (as did the people before them, though the scanner didn't seem to have any part in that), on top of trying to throw shade at us for taking a while to release (incorrectly I might add, because the translation itself was done quite some time ago). People did start trying to translate it after we picked it up from Holsety Scans, but that reads to me more as impatience when it's been made clear multiple times that we haven't dropped it but have had circumstances preventing us at various times. Kind of wild to think people would get so impatient they'd actually pay someone for low quality work instead of waiting for the high quality free work, or even offering to help out themselves... Huh. There was a prior mention here about a different group even before that translating a few chapters that seem to have stopped. May have just wanted that volume out, I don't know, but that team also had nothing to do with us. I do appreciate the kind words nonetheless - I'm doing what I can to get these out and if you're willing to help, that would be wonderful. The more hands we have to clean, the faster these chapters will get out! Even if we somehow managed to catch up to the translations, we can continue cleaning while waiting, which would mean once a translation is complete, I'll be able to to just typeset right away. As always, I'm willing to train people to clean if they don't know how yet and can do redraws! We have more good content in this manga to get to and any help getting there is appreciated! 🙏
  8. Hey, guys! I've recently passed off pages to CoD to clean with the next two chapters partly completed (cleaned and typesetted). Due to how far ahead the translation is currently, it would take us a while to catch up cleaning-wise and I can't guarantee how long it will take us to get chapters out if we wait until the cleaning is complete. In light of that, I've created an anonymously answered poll to see if you guys are interested in reading the final translation products much well ahead in advance of the final cleaning products. This means the chapters may be only partially cleaned or not at all cleaned and would be considered an early release, with the final products coming out later. These can be released up to where the translation is currently. This also means I can release them much, much quicker and there won't be a long wait time between chapters. Right now the translation is in progress as far as volume fourteen, so I can release chapters up to that point at present as I semi-complete them. Please let me know if you're interested in this and I can begin working on the partial version releases ASAP!
  9. Everything is still being worked on. As it says in the OP, translation is already in volume fourteen. We haven't updated with uploads for a variety of reasons, but the project has been off full hiatus and ongoing for quite some time now. As I am writing this I am also sending the necessary files to CoD for cleaning. We'll be continuing into volume thirteen for cleaning and typesetting as well, and while I don't know how often we'll update (as opposed to our old monthly schedule), the translation is plenty ahead of us and I'll let you all know if we do happen to catch up to it. Edit: Just checked and I did actually work ahead of the chapter we're on! I have a chunk of the current volume already started, so at some point I must have gone ahead and continued my own share of the cleaning and just typesetted it while I was at it.
  10. Alright, I'll see what we can do. I'll take it to messages for you! You may also want to see if you can get into contact with the person who did the scans for the previous team for the earlier scans (I recall they posted in here a while back but I'm not sure which page it's on...), as I don't currently have volumes 1-5 scanned (I own the books and can hopefully find them... Seems at some point a lot of my books got moved by family and I can't find some of them, but I'm not sure if that includes any Oosawa books since I know I kept most if not all of those close to me when that happened). Thank you! We have plans to do some editing on the current volume (which is partly why the one that was almost done didn't get released yet), but thankfully I've got the up to date work on a USB after all this computer switching. Translation is still going well though so technically the project is still ongoing behind the scenes! It's not complete yet but we're inching there. 🙏 Ah snappies, I totally forgot about that and I meant to fix it. Thanks for the reminder! It should be fixed now. Thank you for the support! I agree that the translation is amazing too, so kudos to the translators we've had! It's always fun typesetting their work. 💙
  11. Yes, I've scanned the books. Are you looking to find a translation team for a Korean version and need scans? Though I should probably mention (just in case that's what you were looking for), several of the volumes my own team hasn't gotten up in translation yet I planned to go back through and do some re-scanning for since I wasn't satisfied with how some of the pages came out, so a small chunk of the pages might end up getting replaced with newer and better lit scans.
  12. Thank you!!! 🙏 It means a lot that people are still reading this despite the bumpy roads we've endured. We've always wanted it to look great in the finished product out of love for FE4. It deserves the best we can offer. 💙
  13. It sure as hell is lol. It's not just the time and effort that goes into it, but also that our schedules need to be free enough, and various other things have to be taken into account. I've had computer troubles on and off for example since we started, ranging from my monitor dying to hardware itself dying. For sure though, the insane amount of double spreads do not help. Hopefully I can get my head in this and focus on it without all the road blocks, because last time I did that some months ago, road blocks did indeed happen. If it's any consolation, Seraph got started on volume 13 while we were working on volume 12, so once 12 is done it shouldn't be too bad for the first couple or few chapters in 13, since we have a bit of it already done. After that all we have left is 14, 15 and 16, and ffs we'll be done with this manga lol. After that I'll probably go back and make my minor edits while we hopefully can continue with FE5, and after that what we work on is up in the air as far as exactly which books we work on from there. - Edit: March 21: Volume 13's translation is finished! I know it's been slow going but our translator has less free time than before. ChildofDain and I should be good to continue now that I've heard back from @LeifOfLeonsterTranslations. CoD and I have some revisions to do for the current volume, but we'll aim for that as we work on the current chapter. - EDIT: May 13: Put some info in my About section on my page as to what's been up with the slowness of the manga progression.
  14. Here to confirm I am still alive and have a chapter that's near completion. I have some files to round up and a bit of organizing to do, and the bulk of the next chapter in question is on another computer, so that's part of the file round up. I think we actually have more done for next volume than the current one, so I'll have to check up on where we stand with that. Crossing my fingers it works out this time. Last time we started up was definitely bad timing with the pandemic which affected the team. I don't know how activity will go in terms of releases and right now we have no set schedule, so it's going to have be played by ear for now. 🤞🤞🤞
  15. Thank you! Life seems to like smacking this project square in the face when I drag it back out. Petitioning life to chill out a bit for an at least somewhat consistent schedule. 😒
  16. Thank you! Thank you as well! I feel so bad because the road has been so bumpy, but as detailed below there wasn't really much or anything we could a lot of the time. I've loved working on this project since we started and it's something I've been proud of. If we can't just make the push through this volume and the next (which as mentioned in a post above, we've already started working on), we'll have three volumes left which really isn't bad. Not exactly. I'm familiar with the person who provided the scans and I'm on good/cordial terms with them, but there is very bad blood between myself and one of the people who worked on those pages, so we will not be working together if they ever continue. I won't be redoing anyone's work, as all Fala Scans' work is done straight from my own books. Everything we work on is straight from scratch and 100% our own scans, translations, cleaning and typesetting (and if that ever isn't the case in the future for any project or part of a project, it will be stated in the credits and we will have gotten permission to use any part of someone else's work, or we simply won't use the work). If the scans or any other part of the scanlation work come from someone within Fala Scans, they'll be credited as normal. I won't be dropping the project altogether. The only reason it's been so slow is because one person or another in the team has had something going on, and I don't mean minor things. We've had a lot of serious irl issues to attend to. I'm talking things ranging from school (and how Covid has affected it), job loss, financial situations, housing situations and other such extreme matters in the past few years. It's been things against our will that got in the way and sometimes sapped our energy and motivation. We're trying, but it's been very difficult with things getting in the way that are far out of our control. The computer troubles I've had here and there haven't made matters easy either. 😩 Yeah, that wasn't us which is why it wasn't updated here. I guess other people wanted to finish that volume? I can't really do anything about it, but I'm not stopping my own project because of it. We'll be continuing until the end regardless of how long that takes, and we'll hopefully be moving on to other FE4/5 projects (and I've already mildly spoken with my team translator about future projects, so they're still on the list). I've still got a whole collection of books I want to work on, but that's all after Oosawa and Yuna Takanagi's FE5 manga. Oosawa is priority until it's done (we started Yuna's FE5 manga before life thought it was being funny). If you ever need to confirm if it's my team that did something, it will have a credits page at the end that says Fala Scans (which we put at the end of every chapter we work on).
  17. Update (edited for current accuracy): @S3RAPH has been working on later chapters in volume thirteen so that once we finish volume twelve, we'll have some stuff to dive right into. In between this, I had bought a new desktop and planned to resume activity on the new desktop. Unfortunately not too long ago there was a power outage in my area that fried my computer's boot sector, which required me to, simply put, delete all the data on the computer to factory reset it. I had everything in order on the computer prior to that, but now I'll have to get all my manga data from the various backups I have of it. Sometime soon I'll be getting all that and arranging things again as they should be, as well as fixing any of the errors from the links on the main page/first post of the thread. I do have access to the recent chapters we've done as they were done on the laptop, and I'll be checking up to make sure I have everything else (all the old stuff as well) on the laptop, as I'm unsure if my old desktop's hard drive is dying as I'm having some trouble with it. If I'm missing anything or need to delay anything (including things as simple as just updating links), I'll let you all know. We'll be continuing where we left off again hopefully soon. The next chapter is already almost done as far as I can recall - I just need to get everything back on my computer again and arrange everything again, then I'll be able to continue with what little is left and hopefully get that up soon. I had worked on a chunk of the remaining chapters of volume twelve before the computer shenanigans started up yet again (they were done on the laptop so they should be fine), so hopefully we won't have to interrupt our journey here for the hundredth time through the rest of this volume and hopefully the next one (because again, we've already started work on the next volume). Ngl I've never seen a scan team have so many troubles getting a single manga out. 😰 Maybe someday life will give us a break and let us finish the damn thing.
  18. Yes, there will be! Me too! I always hate when it takes us this long. 😞 If there are any previews I can offer in the meantime I can try that though!
  19. Hey all; sorry about the lack of updates. Our cleaners' time for the manga has been a bit limited. The next chapter is almost done with one double spread left and part of the next chapter has been finished as well. We'll get it up as soon as we can. Myself and one of the team's cleaners have been working on other chapters during times we're waiting, so some stuff past the current releases gets worked on in the meantime. Sorry for the delays! Thanks for letting me know! I'll fix that soon.
  20. You say you tried it multiple times, but if you just kept immediately having Cuan attack each time you loaded the file, the result of the battle wouldn't change. With FE4, a different battle would have to be triggered to change the RNG string to produce a different result (which could potentially also change the fact that you were getting a lover crit, i.e. say you had Lex go into battle then Cuan the next time you loaded your file. Since you now changed the RNG string via Lex's battle, there's no guarantee Cuan would get the lover crit this time. If you kept going into battle and repeating the exact same thing, the result wouldn't change at all). Chances are, Cuan attacked with his normal attack first and would have attacked with a crit after that. As far as I know from my double digits playthroughs, lover crits aren't always the initial attack if they end up attacking more than once. In this case, my guess is that Cuan was going to attack again, the second time with the crit, but Zyne would attack and defeat him before Cuan attacks again (thus making him unable to attack again at the time he would use the crit), and with a horseslayer he normally gets a guaranteed crit against Cuan (though I haven't played the hack so I'm not sure if there's a bug as far as the horseslayer goes in this case). It seems to me like you were just defeated before he got the chance to initiate the crit (also, you mentioned the hack doesn't guarantee a crit, which sounds like it is still possible, but doesn't always occur).
  21. It depends heavily on whether or not they give us PoR or RD Shinon, imo. I would honestly expect PoR Shinon to be a GHB with a Brave Bow+ at best because he comes back to the group with a Brave Bow. Based on how they've released Tellius units up to now, it seems like they do PoR versions for beorc and RD for laguz (ex. Reyson, Tibarn, Naesala, Ranulf, etc are all in and playable in PoR, but they're listed as RD in Heroes. With beorc we get their PoR version if they're in both games unless we get an alt later on). I'm generally expecting PoR to get in first for characters originally from PoR, which is why I've kept my hopes low on what Shinon's situation will be. I also don't have much faith that we'll ever get normal RD alts of most characters (like how Hinoka got that random alt that wasn't a seasonal or anything - just a random alt in the normal pool), and if we do it won't be any time soon. Believe me, I want Shinon to come with the Silencer or even the Double Bow and to not be a GHB unit (which at this point it's easier to get units who aren't free with the new post 40 rolls you get whoever you want on the new banner). I want him to be an awesome unit. I just don't wanna get disappointed when that's not the case. ^^; I DO know, however, that he ranked in the top 100 of CYL this year (and considering the amount of total units able to be voted for, that's a feat) so I know people really want him in Heroes. He ranked 71st place this year, so hopefully IntSys will take it as a sign to make him a good unit when he got so high in CYL. I also voted for him for one of my votes this year so I'm glad he made it so far up the rankings. 😊
  22. @Koops I've updated volume seven, so chapter 44 is available again! I didn't do any edits on the chapter so it's not going to look as nice as our current releases (there's a lot of typesetting I need to redo and some pages definitely need rotation), but it's up! Thanks! This manga is definitely harder to translate than the other Jugdral books I own (and it's a lot, so that says something about this manga lol). I'm grateful for the translators I've had and their patience working on this. As much as some of us may be sad when we've finished this manga because it'll be over, I'm sure my current translator will love working on our other projects because they won't be so damn difficult lol.
  23. It's so weird to think that it's been so long since we got a full on Tellius banner. Last year was crazy with Tellius releases and it sucked me dry of orbs (which says something I guess because I usually save and I hit 750 free orbs when Tibarn's banner dropped). Still holding out hope for Tellius again though. Actually, I'm just holding out hope that Shinon won't be a lame GHB unit, but my chances of that are, well... pretty bad. A banner with Shinon, Gatrie, Rhys and Boyd would be perfect and would fill all color slots (assuming Shinon was a red bow unit), and then we'd have the missing GMs. Rolf technically has an alt though and not an original, so I keep feeling like they'll have him in a banner instead of Shinon with Shinon being the GHB of that banner. As much as I also want more Jugdral banners, I have a good chunk of my favorites in Heroes now. Tellius though there are still a good few I want in the game at least. Hopefully Nasir won't also get a GHB. I have to hold out some kind of hope for certain units because really, Reinhardt and Ishtar should have been GHBs going by the usual theme of what GHB characters are but they weren't. That's pretty much my only hope for Shinon. 😓 Actually, I still want non-seasonal Greil... but I'm not holding out much hope there right now. I want Janaff too, but maybe that's just me wanting to S support Janaff with Shinon; as if I don't already double A support them with RD and PoR's data transfer.
  24. Yes, Edelgard accepted death after defeat, but Alvis hadn't been defeated yet. He also quite literally gave his "enemy" the means to defeat him, which is where the difference lies. Edelgard accepted defeat upon, well, defeat. When she was backed into a corner with no way out. She passed the torch to Byleth when there was literally no other choice. Alvis did it before death and for different reasons. If we're just going by very simple passing the torch explanations, then Claude essentially does that too in CF, so imo it's not a legit comparison when the means are so very different. Alvis wasn't really on a darker path tbh. He killed Sigurd, yes... and regretted it, safekeeping his weapons until Sigurd's child was close enough to give it to him. Alvis' reign was too peaceful to really be considered a "dark" path. Edelgard didn't think there was any other way besides war, but Alvis never started a war. Killing Sigurd didn't start a war at all. In turn, Celice started the war over a decade later (for good reason obviously, but it was all caused by the Lopt Sect and the crappy people in power who thought they were doing what Alvis wanted when he was just being used as a figurehead by the Sect), but nothing Alvis did began a war. He never thought a war was essential to bring about change. Again, a big difference: Edelgard didn't have much time left to live and thought war was the quickest way out of everything. War is the opposite of what Alvis wanted. I guess you can see the dagger thing as passing the torch, but I never really saw throwing a dagger into someone's shoulder as such. But regardless, again - that only happened when she was defeated and had no other out. Dimitri in AM by that point had already given her the chance to end the war and settle things peacefully, but she chose not to go along with that. Alvis was very protective about his people, but Edelgard was willing to sacrifice however many she had to to reach her goals. Alvis personally killed one person (Sigurd) and wasn't ultimately comfortable with the decision he made (the rest of the Battle of Barhara wasn't just Alvis specifically, but he also knew he was wrong eventually). Ultimately though my main point is that it's a really far stretch to even call them similar as people, because they had very different goals in mind. Again, banishing the Crest system as it was versus nobody even caring about the holy bloodlines being in power for example. Who they are and what they had in mind were very different, as well as the circumstances surrounding their decisions. I'm not saying Edelgard didn't ultimately end up trusting Byleth or something, but the means of reaching that point in non-CF routes takes her dying first, whereas Alvis had already planned for his defeat specifically (versus Edelgard deciding she'd only do that if she was defeated and never actually planned to be defeated). In CF, it's even less similar because Edelgard trusts Byleth, who is there with her. Alvis doesn't have anyone by his side that he explicitly trusts and is only able to pin his hopes with Celice, who is "the enemy" at the time. I'm not saying Edelgard didn't do the things you're mentioning, but the situations that led to them were vastly different than with Alvis and even in the end, they weren't really similar. I also don't have a problem with you liking her - I just don't see her and Alvis as having anything in common beyond extremely vague details.
