  1. Welcome to more FE4 (and eventually FE5) manga translations! This time, Anthologies and 4Komas! How this is going to be set up: I'm working on these one at a time per book (choosing each new book at random), so each story will be zipped by itself. The file names will end after their page count with the abbreviations of their respective title, so if you plan to dump them all in the same folder, you'll still see where each new story begins and ends. Folders are numbered by the number story before the title so they stay in order and don't end up auto sorted by name and out of book order. Once we complete a book, they'll all be zipped together, and until then individually uploaded. Some of these are utter crack and just silly nonsense, others are completely (or mostly) serious stories, and some are a bit of both - so expect a little bit of everything! Enix Supercomic Gekijoh Vol. 7: My Personal Guardian (Noish/Aira) To Rally Courage (Sylvia centric, implied Alec/Sylvia) Please let us know of any mistakes so they can be fixed!
  2. MINTY YOU GODDAMN FROG HI I HOPE YOU READ IT AND ENJOY YOUR STAY IN HELL. Holyn and Beowulf are not in this manga, but it is still A++ which I suppose says a lot coming from a Holyn lover. Of course, they weren't the only ones left out (ex. Hilda was too and she's one of the bigger villains in the game), but Oosawa made do. But have no fear, he IS in the anthology books, and we ARE going to be working on those! Edit 4/24/2017: Yes hi I am once again working on editing the older chapters... for hopefully... the goddamn last time. Expect those at some point!
  3. Chapter 59 error fixed and chapter 60 is up! Re: Fuck You Danan. Re: Fuck You Fodder. Re: Fuck Danan Again Later, Because The Flashbacks Aren't Quite Over. In response to all of the above posters: Also, regarding Lakche's character, it's mostly that the majority of her appearances were so Shanan centered that it overshadows a lot of her actually good moments post volume ten. Her core character is still good, but her obsession over Shanan, to the point of constantly crying near him (which seems pathetically guilt trippy to me) and giving him an attitude just because he was talking to Patty, is strongly degrading for me. But yeah, I am also not looking forward to having to typeset all the Lakche -> Shanan and eventually Shanan/Lakche. Its easy into the final volume that it goes official, but eugh. Praying for my own soul when I have to typeset that. Johan is more or less booted to comedy relief central, so his crush on Lakche is pretty... easy to overlook and forget about. Oosawa didn't bother to develop it in the least and focused fully on Johalva in that area. Dew does end up with Brigid, which we've actually mentioned here in the past. =o - Including Radney and Roddblevan was to express how terrifying a place Jugdral become since gen 1. I'm sure Oosawa figrued hey why not use subs instead of just plain fodder. I can understand that. - I actually prefer Patty in Oosawa by miles and miles. She's extremely helpful and a lot more mature, and gets to be the bigshot of part of the whole Blume deal. For me, LI was like... a literal trainwreck. The characterization of almost everyone was horrifying to me, but it was a good manga. Idk man. - Skasaher is too cool to fade into the background completely, though he'll see less time for, again, other characters. He sticks around with the adults and stuff and is kinda one of the more important guys in the army. Also kinda acts as basically Celice's personal messenger/bodyguard or something? He's always near him and goes into battles and stuff with him, so eh. He'll always be around, at least! Take That, Chapter Sixty Fodder.
  4. Leen is gorgeous, I promise. Patty, well... was a better option in this manga for Shanan. I really loved Lakche's character until the shippy stuff started happening and I was like Lakche my girl are you for real. A lot of stuff, especially in volume ten, almost even pushes toward Celice/Lakche, but alas. Yuria got in the way and in Sety's way. Gen 1 had like most of my favorite ships, then gen 2 is like okay Oosawa my dear you can stop now. All the characters kind of get their own space so that's why the earlier characters (save Skasaher for the most part) end up fading up to make room for everyone else. Unfortunately with when the manga had to end, there was little room to sneak in extra stuff for everyone.
  5. Well, Burian was kicked from the story but the narration mentions the Joha bros in a way that implies they aren't the only two siblings. Since the manga stops before Burian even has a chance to be shown, the whole Dozel major blood matter remains unresolved. Johalva doesn't end up with anyone in this manga, nor does Johan. The whole Shanan/Lakche matter starts out slow and one-sided, and Shanan was pretty opposed to it. I'm pretty unhappy that Oosawa decided he would turn around and just get with her. I also see Shanan as a father figure to her and the other kids, and it's a fact that he's been raising Lakche since she was born (helping for the what? First year at best? Not even a year and then him and Oifaye raised her and the others from there on). Like, I just really can't get behind the pairing with that concept being in place and it's a canon fact all around (game/manga) that he had a hand in raising her. I also feel like Oosawa was a little cruel to Johalva regarding this matter, but eh. I'll go on shipping Oosawa JohaLak just because it was actually so nicely developed. Then in comparison you have Shanan in denial and suddenly, randomly, turns around and decides to be with her. It felt overdone and forced - especially since after volume ten, Lakche's importance dwindles and the high majority of her appearances are for nothing more than developing her pairing with Shanan. I do love this manga to pieces, but tbh Shanan/Lakche is probably the biggest thing in it that I could've easily lived without. I didn't like the pair to begin with (especially with the whole fatherly concept being part of it), but Oosawa just kinda pushed it in ways that made me back away from it even more.
  6. Okay so I'm totally gonna have to redo page 49 because Dain didn't clean off the "baka" part of a sentence thinking it was an sfx/not part of the sentence and I being my dumbass self despite owning the books did not notice and was very confused as to why an sfx said "baka" (VERY confused), so that will happen someday and the whole "Who's stupid" will get fixed. I was also too busying howling for my spirit animal son boi lil bro so there's that. I love Johalva in this manga definitely aside my preexisting adoration and love, so I'm not only disappointed about another ship happening but how poorly Oosawa went about it. Her gen 1 ships were fantastically written then it's like rip. Johan is so dork I can't stand the idea of him dying here! I'm so glad she keeps them both alive. It's like, you know, thanks Oosawa, for finally not doing something ridiculously painful to us. Oh trust me, they hate them some Dozels. Cue next chapter. The difference with the brothers and Roddlevan is that Roddlevan was a legitimate traitor who sold Celice out and caused the deaths of many of his own. The brothers ignored their father's rule and did what they felt was right, protecting the people in the process. They weren't the enemy - they were never the enemy - and Roddlevan was the enemy through what he did. The brothers were clearly good people and weren't involved in that nasty cycle -in fact, their presence helps break it, and you'll see that pull through even more toward the end of the volume. The brothers aren't resentful toward those who were involved in stopping their father (the Liberation Army in general), and they themselves had a hand in stopping him too. Ultimately, they are the end of that cycle in this scenario - stopping the wrong despite it being family and not pursuing revenge for it. Roddlevan, by bringing harm to Celice (and effectively causing the deaths of MANY people's family members), would have continued that cycle when everyone who stands with him wants revenge (and against the Empire for their grief for Roddlevan working with them, thus the Empire attacks back, etc.). Roddlevan was an initiator to continuing that cycle. The brothers ended it. You'll start seeing Lex and Aira flashbacks in the next chapter and it's broken up between next chapter and the last chapter of volume ten.
  7. Chapter 59 is up. Joha Bro goodness. I love how eerie that last line on that last page is. Typesetting this was a hell of a time. <3 Also I have up trying to make up some random shit for Oosawa's insane non-existent SFX on two parts. Thanks, Johan. Trying not to edit "Sup Bro" to "Jo, Bro" since the original dialogue uses, "Yo(o), Bro".
  8. I'm not sure if this is exactly the right place for it, but the forums seem to be acting up a bit too? This new security thing when trying to edit the main post of a topic is locking me out of editing when I edit so many times in a short period of time and it's really annoying when I need to make updates on my manga thread (such as missing pages needing to be added). Even if I check the box, sometimes it just brings me right back to the edit post page and just loops.
  9. IT'S TIME TO GO DOZELING. Also incoming cute Delmud. <3 Unfortunately there was no saving his face in the colored double spread. Edit: All errors should be fixed now.
  10. So unfortunately a LOT of pages from older chapters somehow went missing from the zip files and I'm going to be trying to fill those in. Anyone who has downloaded the files since the last major update (bulk recleaning and some fixed typesetting), I'll be letting you guys know when I've reuploaded everything. A good chunk of chapter 44 is missing and various pages from other chapters are missing, so I'm going to be editing those in. I WILL be updating more pages after this because of the issue the former other typesetter had with the text looking off (whether she edits them and sends them to me or I redo the pages myself), and any of my own typesetting on those pages is subject to change through edits as I've been waiting for her end of the updates to update my parts. Once that's done and everything is fully edited from old chapters, hopefully they can be laid to rest. Edit: So far only volume six is updated. Edit: Volume seven (particularly chapter 44) should be fixed now.
  11. The issue with making them direct names to references is that it's a localization. If you're localizing claiming it's based on culture, I've already seen a LOT of complaints that English speakers don't know how to pronounce these names. Any normal localization would leave names like Holyn and Johan alone. Kaga also didn't directly use the names because they were references. Not the exact spellings. I still have serious shit with Ced because they made it canon in FE13 as well that Sety is Levin's son and yet they took away his namesake. Holsety -> Crusader Sety -> Sety was done for a reason, they made it canon, continued it as canon in FE13 and then... fucked around with it. I have no faith in IntSys trying to rename shit - especially after they changed Othin and Lachesis' names twice (i.e. Othin to Orsin and then they changed their own localization. They did that to Silzeha (FE7) to Silesee too). I mean, technically, Lachesis is a name change since it's Rackesis officially, so they changed from Rackesis to Raquesis to Lachesis. They can't keep their own localizations straight at all. Also the argument about Furries and whatnot is still invalid because her name was never Fury to begin with. It's Ferry. Yes, the kana literally says Fury and it's a popular fan translation name, also that I myself use, but there are already official names in romanization. Though her children do embody the emotion of fury so all is well. None of the other games had their names altered this drastically or severely, either. If you look at the JP names of other characters from other titles, only a few were really completely changed. Then you get like Eliwood who was just Eliwod. Not a big difference. In fact, the names used in Awakening don't even look like they belong with the names that got bullshitted into the Heroes list. It doesn't even look like they'd be from the same game. FE5's list wasn't even half as bad, though I'm still wtfing at several of them. Also get rid of Asbel, I have Tales of Graces to think about. Ultimately I can't even consider these official seeing as everyone considered them "official" in FE13 too, and now some of that is already out the window again. They can't stay consistent and things keep changing. Fire them all. Also they actually went back and fixed that L and I issue on the Joha bros. They changed the Ls to Is.
  12. Just popping in to say: Perfect score for Leaf. Or 11/10 works. I'm serious. :) Also side note but I give Ethlin the Knight Ring to pass down to him so he can do hit and runs while defending Lenster Castle with Fin while Nanna heals. Also for hit and runs in general, then I pawn it off when he promotes and he uses that money to stock up on weapons along with his arena money.
  13. If she speaks to Celice to give him the Hero Sword, yes, they will become lovers/become lovers very quickly (which is yes a glitch).
  14. Found more age chart errors so fixing those too. Sigurd died at 25, y'all, not 24. I also forgot to even fill in the space between Oifaye and Celice at that arrow. Can you tell how hellish doing this chart was??? Update: Ishtar's age is incorrect too; it should say 16, not 15. We're good at our job, I swear. Edit: OKAY OKAY I THINK I FIXED EVERYTHING oh my god this chart.
  15. LOOK, YOU. Okay, plan, we sacrifice Johan to TE so TE goes to bed at night hearing horribly flirty jokes and awkward speech and has nightmares about it and regrets his actions. Also rest in peace characters that won't be showing up in this manga, you will be remembered, @Burian. EVEN THOUGH SKASAHER LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE LEX? Tbh after volume ten you'll never forget they're Dozels again LOL. They're more knee deep in with the Dozel shit than they are with the Isaac shit.
  16. Technically speaking it was five in the morning my time when I uploaded it before anyone posted. I didn't want to double post. At least we're finally on volume ten now. Dozels! Dozels. Dozels. So many Dozels. SO MUCH DOZELLING.
  17. His age is listed in my book as 29, actually. I didn't even notice the uploaded version said 18. DAMOSEEEEL we have a typo let's fix it. I'm not actually sure where along the way that happened since I wasn't actually typesetting the ages because the program I use was basically fighting me over it because of the colors involved. TE be like aw man I gotta translate again don't I but then he see a hentai and then he ready to go I see where your priorities lie.
  18. No, there are no other subs in this manga. As far as Celice goes, he's a bit, er... not half as sweet in this manga. He's actually pretty aggressive and that's a much more dominant trait in him as time goes on. ETHLIN DIED AT 19 I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT THAT POOR GIRL DIDN'T EVEN HIT TWENTY I AM HEARTBROKEN. The only other Oosawa work that exists is apparently a hentai manga and I'm not actually joking about that.
  19. Ah, I think I've seen that one! I wasn't sure if it was for set eight or not though and I don't remember where I saw it because I've only really paid attention to FE4 gen 2 releases my bad. That's good to know though. I'm more fond of gen 2 in FE13 so I'll be looking forward to the kid characters. :3 Edit: Can a mod delete that double for me please? Internet dun goofed.
  21. Hannibal I highly doubt will be skipped so much as he'll only get one card. I am sure no fan could forget the clusterfuck that is chapter nine and fully involves trying not to kill Hannibal or being killed by Hannibal while trying to get to Corpul and trying to get subsequently get Corpul to Hannibal. Ishtar I'd guess will get at LEAST two cards. I'm referring more to the fact that if you're talking "villain", Manfloy would be essentially, logically, getting that seat. Yurius is TECHNICALLY a villain though possessed, so he's in the same category as Lyon (presumably by dialogue was a sweet kid and went batshit from possession). Alvis was never a villain but he's an antagonist, and the "main" antagonist in gen 1 (and ultimately Manfloy is the legit main villain/antagonist behind the scenes in gen 1 too). Basically I do feel Manfloy should get at least SOMETHING even if it's not this set. Some set in the future maybe, but he has such a ridiculously heavy impact on the plot and even Celice completely acknowledges that fact if you have Celice fight him in the final chapter. I feel like it's a bit of a waste not to include him at all. Tbh I kind of want a set with like... ALL villains from every FE game but that might be way too much wishful thinking. Slightly about something else so under a spoiler tag. I'd assume they wanted to actually get the name of Cipher out by starting with known characters and the like. It would be way more risky to release the first sets with more unknown characters. Characters you can recognize at a glance when you're not a huge, knee-deep FE fan are the types they were likely aiming for in the original sets. Now that they're more confident the sets will sell and they know they're doing well, they're going out of those boundaries giving more surprises in character appearances. In this case though for set eight, FE13 doesn't really have NPCs for that, so it'd have to be FE4 that takes those slots. I'm guessing they plan to do Risen versions of all the main cast, which should fill up FE13's slots. Not sure how many characters would actually get multiple (like three/four) cards as Risen/I'm not sure how creative they can be with that. Has there been any confirmation that this set is strictly gen 1 of FE13, or were they also planning cards for the kids in outfits from the destroyed future?
  22. I see you looking at my profile there. :) "I wonder if she's as insane on SF as-- ...Yup."

    1. Loptyr Of Jugdral

      Loptyr Of Jugdral

Well I rarely use this dam site so I was just curious. Also Hi.

  23. That's why I mentioned Arion getting Mahnya's spot, because Mahnya was never playable. He's also kind of important to the story... if he, a supposed villain, managed to survive the final chapter. ...Assuming the player doesn't, you know, kill him... Manfloy also didn't get a card in set six and he's a huge villain - basically the legit villain of FE4. They used to seem to focus on the major/main villain of the series, but as ChibiToastExplosion mentioned, they've included the Black Fang even though they weren't main villains. Trabant is more important in gen 2 story-wise than in gen 1, and not even giving him one card after giving the Black Fang cards is just a bit odd to me. ...I'm still mad there was no Ephidel though. The US' take on the games is irrelevant when it comes to popularity as these cards are made in Japan and only Japan presently (i.e. yes it's done great overseas but even in Japan everything is kinda FE13/14 now). FE4 is huge in Japan, and still their fourth (is it fifth?) best seller iirc, only since FE13 and FE14 came out (in other words, it's still VERY recent it lost its spot as the second most popular. Might've been third. Either way the JP fandom for it is still pretty incredible seeing as the game is twenty years old). As for Black Fang cards, well, that's what I mean by "important". You can't say Manfloy, Trabant and Arion are all plot irrelevant characters. Alvis is the boss before the final (not counting the mini bosses; I'm talking final bosses of the chapters). Basically I mean the best way to stick to what they've been doing is to give more villains more spots. And again, I wouldn't even count Arion as a villain since his final position in the game is an ally unit. Now, expecting Hilda or Blume would be pushing it. Trabant? I don't think that's pushing it. I don't know the scale of his popularity, though. I may not like Trabant but he at least deserves a spot for having a more than decent son. As far as dates go for news, well... it almost is January, so not a long wait at least. Half a month isn't that bad. ...Can I see a Shanan preview now??? Maybe??? Yes???
  24. Ishtar seems overwhelmingly popular so I can't see them skipping her. She technically also falls into the villain category, whereas Arion is an ally unit in the end, so I figure they might sneak him out of the villain category and knock him into ally/neutral like Mahnya. If there's a Trabant I don't see why there wouldn't be an Alvis. Hoping for another FE4 gen 2 set though because Tellius is getting in another set (without any FE13 or 14 which iirc they've only done once to date). If they're finally willing to chill out a bit on the newer games, hell, we might even get FE2, 5, and 8. So if we do get another FE4 set we'll hopefully be able to clear all the characters as having at least one card, counting the gen 1 characters still alive in gen 2, etc. I REALLY want a Master Knight Leaf card in this set though.
