  1. I could see the SRs being the major bloods but that leaves the questions of where does Corpul stand and are they just acknowledging FE5 canon (and essentially FE13 DLC canon, which part of me can't see why they wouldn't since FE13 is literally part of this set) for Sety? Trabant didn't even get a card in set six so Arion might be screwed. If I'm lucky he'll get the Mahnya position in this set. Would he even get an SR though? Really Sety deserves like three normals, three high normals, two rares and four SRs but I mean. I want to see Fin in this set too because if they leave out Jugdral's hero idk what to say man. I know he was in set six but he's Fin. I also want to see Holsety but that's just wishful thinking. Technically it'd be gen 2 Levin but I'm not about that pretend life. Still waiting for a Faval and Johalva preview... I'm like okay come on there are like at least ten characters they could be showing that I'm more excited to see and y'all in the Cipher production department have previewed not a single one yet. I love Celice and Yurius but I could've seen those coming from miles away. Leaf might get an SR but it's possibly also a matter of if they're planning a set for FE5 at all. If they are, well, Leaf, Fin and Nanna might get the short end of the stick this time. That or Leaf will have another big blob of TCG like he did in the original TCG sets. I'm gonna hope for that. Maybe an FE5 set will give Sety another card. Also I want art of Johalva and Johan as one artwork but that's also heavily wishful thinking.
  2. As far as action scenes go, it's kind of iffy. Volume ten has a bit of it, and tbh probably more than what Oosawa typically does. Oosawa has a habit of cutting into another scene when shit's about to go down... kinda like this one time in gen 2 when you see Fin about to fight a bunch of soldiers and then the next thing you see of him is a ton of dead bodies everywhere aka Fin wrecked their shit but it was all off panel and we never got to see the glory that is Jugdral's one true veteran hero. It's less a matter that nobody knows what it says so much as translating Oosawa's handwritten text for all the end volume notes (which are long) is more a pain in the ass than it's worth. Volume eight isn't the only one with the notes untranslated (none of the notes are translated in any of the volumes right now between this team and the previous team). If I can get someone to translate them fully who doesn't mind reading handwriting, I'll update the pages, but until then if it's not translated in the first place, it's not translated for one reason or another. Yes, we're aware we left the notes in Japanese in there. We'll be working on other things Oosawa left at the end of the volumes in future volumes, but not the handwritten notes until someone happens to be interested in translating them. - EDIT: Chapter 57 is up and nobody posted after me so I'll just wait until someone posts to post again. I'll just request someone from Tumblr to make a post for me, none of my team members are awake at this hour. Edit: Thanks, Yuan. Rest in peace Harold, dead and forgotten off panel.
  3. Imo she's hard to start with and it's slow going, but later on you'll want to have her to be able to reach enemies in mountain areas and the like that nobody else can reach. Some units are stationed so that no unit BUT her can attack them, and those units can use distance weapons that will be a huge pain in the ass (especially in chapter five and sometimes in four). Also in chapter four's case, you might need her to attack pegasus knights that retreated (ex. the captain units that run to get reinforcements if you've plucked off too many of their squad but they're still alive) to an area nobody else can reach. I wouldn't call her average tbh. I would call her a priority if nothing else, both for your reasons stated and what I've mentioned. Unlike in gen 2, she's your ONLY flier, so if you need a flier and she's too weak you're pretty much screwed. Plus since her stats affect her children, you don't want Fee falling behind since she joins at like level two iirc? Sety will never fall behind, but... may as well abuse the stat power. As far as the "give her the Hero Lance" claims go, I do that myself but only when Fin's about to leave. Don't focus your efforts on Fury over Fin unless you want blood and tears in chapter seven, and since you've played FE4 before I'm sure you at least have an idea of what your previous run was like. I personally let Fee use it until I get Fin back, then I give it back to him. Ultimately I'd say Fury is going to be one of your most important units even if not one of your strongest. She fell behind for me when I first started with FE4 and I regretted it when I realized my only flier was too weak to do much of anything.
  4. Your army will never be so overpowered (especially in gen 1) that the game is just "easy" or anything. Even going through the arena won't leave you much stronger each chapter. On average I'd say you'd get two level ups per chapter arena IF you complete the whole arena with units without Elite/the Elite Ring. Ultimately the game will just be harder without the arena, tbh. Plus since it's your only way to make money without a thief attacking, the Thief Ring or the Thief Sword, you pretty much have to to repair weapons... and holy weapon expenses are going to leave you broke if you use the weapons too much. Your best bet is to go as far through the arena as you can with each unit each chapter the arena is available (as it's not available in the prologue or chapter six).
  5. Well in the game Sigurd states he "wasn't even two years old" at Lubeck in chapter five, so I'd say he was a year and six or so months old. He's about eighteen in the game, and seventeen in the manga, presumably 18 by the end of the manga and 19 by the end of the game (as in in the game a year is stated to have passed). Oosawa also wrote that these parts happen in 776, whereas in the game it's 777, so the aging and timeline do go together, but she's a year behind where the game was.
  6. We don't see anything because she left for Isaac and then from there to Lenster to meet up with Fin. She and Sigurd were discussing it when they left with Aideen, Oifaye, Shanan and the kids. You'll see what happened to her and whatnot in flashbacks like a lot of gen 1. A lot of the "unknown" fates you don't see at the end of gen 1 end up resolved in flashbacks in gen 2.
  7. That would be a nice solution but the Grandbell Empire would be like HAVE KIDS CONTINUE THE BLOODLINE. Even though in hindsight that's a bad idea because now that Lopt blood is linked with the royal family. Technically if Linoan is Empress that makes Arion the Emperor unless he says fuck this engagement I want Altenna. Which he probably would. Leaf blushes at Celice pretty often iirc. But I've decided to now allow myself to talk about that because this is supposed to be about the Oosawa manga and not my raging OTP life. ...But he really does blush at Celice a lot. Celice is literally the first thing he's fanboying about talking about when he's shown in gen 2 ffs. Have you ever thought of Fin crying??? Think Oosawa. Think Delmud. We'll get there. I'll be in my corner shipping pairs nobody else ships tbh. I was happy enough that Johalva and Skasaher talked together in this manga.
  8. Alvis didn't know they were siblings UNTIL Diadora told him. Skasaher will be sticking around as one of the big kids for the whole manga. :P He gets in on the meetings and is present for the important stuff typically. When Celice separates from people/the army splits up, Skasaher is pretty much always there with him. At least he kept watching out for him like Shanan asked. :P I don't think Johan had a crush on Aira tbh. He seemed to have more of a crush on the food in front of him in the flashbacks than any attention he paid to anyone in the entire room. JohanxFood OTP. Lana does mention in the game that it's "dangerous to even be a girl anymore". I'm actually glad Oosawa elaborated because while Jugdral IS a dark place, it actually really shows the scale of how bad things got between the gens. Shit was bad in Sigurd's time, but it got worse afterward and honestly, the kids lived worse lives growing up than Sigurd's group lived the end of their lives. Unfortunately there was really nothing Alvis could do by that point and even if he could, he can't control the entire continent's worth of people's actions. Tbh Manfloy would just pick up a hammer and yell "OVERRULED". You'd think maybe after Diadora got a few more years on her that yes he'd realize she looked EXACTLY like their mother, but I think he was too busy being in dokis with her. ... ... ... ;n; Tbh I thought it'd be a lot longer of a wait before we got to gen 2 and I don't know why. I hope there are still exciting things left for people, because sometimes I feel like now that Barhara is over, there won't be much left to interest people in a peak way; especially since Oosawa had to cut the story early like all the other mangas had to do as well as cut characters and some plot (though she did go farther than any of the others). I guess I'm just paranoid about that really, seeing as she cut Holyn and people still read it. >.> To be fair it was at least one a month. Damosel just so happened to have finished cleaning her part of this chapter yesterday and since Dain needed some time when she had 55 to work on, we just went ahead with cleaning a bit so we wouldn't fall behind. :P AND LOOK HOW GRATEFUL PEOPLE ARE ABOUT QUICK UPDATES it makes FE4 fans happy. :') Plus gen 2 opening, so now that that's out of the way... Realistically, even if we released one chapter a month, I would probably have them lined up if I got to any early. I typeset... pretty fast once I have everything else. Pretty fast. Think of this this way: You're closer to your retirement. Now if we were going by JD/yours truly's plans we'd have been translating this manga backwards... because all the stuff JD really wants to get to is at the end. Alvis is another face in the crowd when it comes to wincest in Jugdral. Everyone wants to get with their long lost extended family. Though realistically that makes the most sense anyway since they reeeeally probably don't want to lose the power of their bloodlines. If they separated from incest, the blood would just get thinner and thinner. Can't very well afford that while Loppycakes has plans. Seeing as they were pretty much forsaken by all the dragons save one, they wouldn't be getting that power back if they lost it. "Shanan, you're the man."
  9. Chapter 56 is out. Really. I had it over like halfway done before 55 was even out. Cue Eminem music for effect. Guess who's back Shanan's back Tell a friend If you don't tell your friends you're not doing it right. Don't disappoint Shanan. This chapter involves kids being kids unless you're Skasaher and too cool for childish behavior, or a bad banana. SKASAHER. ASSERT YOURSELF. DON'T LET BANANAS RUN WILD. Bad Banana © Don't Let JD and Damosel talk about this shit. This chapter also involves me echoing Skasaher's "So frustratiiiiing" AT TYPESETTING THIS MESS. Dew and Midir were bad enough. This is a whole other level of chaotic. Aideen, my girl, you were missed. This chapter also involves a violent murderous five year old. I kind of got really mad at Diadora in this chapter. Just... you know... ignore the man screaming your name as you die... and think about some other guy who has been dead for years... Yeah... You do that... I'll think of that man in your place... Crying Celice is too much for me. It needs to stop. Unfortunately it never really will.
  10. "Random shots", did you mean: JD's Tumblr shitposting? :P Ethlin looked like she must've been eight years old or something when she fell for Cuan lol. Teeny tiny Ethlin. I love how you can literally see Shanan growing up throughout gen 1. It's harder to see with the older characters because by the time they start growing up, it's like you haven't really realized it and only notice when you go back and see them looking so young in the beginning. Shanan, at least, you can see growing up through the whole thing. I definitely liked seeing Dew, Fin and Lachesis start to look different, though it's mostly notable in the hair length for all of them. Fin has chopped bangs at first so I'm glad he grew those out. :P Unfortunately gen 2 kind of got crammed by time restraints and there aren't promotions. I would have slaughtered to see Oosawa's tiny adorable priceless version of Leaf slamming some enemy/enemies with an axe. Alas. Gen 1 pretty much everyone had off-panel promotions (i.e. their outfit changes), so it was a bit disappointing that gen 2 got the short end of the stick, but Oosawa seems to prefer gen 1 and the story did cut early as it is, so I can see why a lot ended up left out in gen 2. I really appreciate that Oosawa took the time to make the gen 1 girls absolutely amazing. None of them were damsels in distress or anything classic like that or on the overkill side. Even when Lachesis needed help, she completely annihilated Elliot's forces that went after her (and ffs I can't even get her past the first two arena levels when I first get her in the game for the entire chapter). There's really a lot of game to manga detail in here, and even things that made it from the notes outside the game that made it in. A big reason I'm disappointed that gen 2 doesn't get promotions is because Oosawa did so great with that in gen 1 that if she had the time to work with it, I feel like even gen 2's promotion outfits would've been great. I can only imagine how much thought Oosawa had to put into converting game mechs into the manga tbh, because she did it with a lot of things. Even the narration parts of each chapter are in the manga, and there are just little details everywhere. Aideen will be back for the next chapter and shows up briefly in volume ten, if it's any consolation. You'll have some others pop up throughout gen 2 and there are flashbacks of what happened to some of them, and Fin is as usual in badass guardian mode. I'll miss gen 1 but gen 2 deserves its time and I've been looking forward to Leaf them. I love the little similarities Oosawa does with some of the kids. =owo= Also hardcore Delmud and Fin bonding time. Some of these kids are so happy they even have a parent living that it's heartbreaking. I feel like maybe Nanna might take having a parent around for granted (just generally speaking), but poor Delmud never even got to meet his father until he was practically an adult. ;n;
  11. This is actually what I discussed with Dain last night, though mostly on Alvis' end. Manfloy was definitely malicious all the way through, but Alvis broke down enough that he (mistakenly?) confessed about Manfloy and told truths that could've put him in danger. Tbh Alvis killing Sigurd was mercy compared to what Manfloy would have done just basing off Levin's death. Sigurd wouldn't have felt a thing or even realized he was dying before he did. Manfloy would've made SURE he suffered. The way I see it, Alvis knew it had to be done and decided that instead of their earlier fight, a painless and instant death was the best way to repay Sigurd's kindness in that moment. It was going to happen anyway, and after what Manfloy did to Diadora's grandmother, I can pretty safely say Falaflame was the better way to go. Alvis seemed to have snapped out of the lack of control he had on himself while confessing everything to Diadora and Sigurd, so I don't think he was exactly in his normal state of mind. I don't believe he intentionally used pity as a weapon to make Sigurd lower his guard. If anything, it was simply a benefit to the situation, because it gave Alvis the chance to make him die believing things went well. He didn't die in disgust, pity or rage at his own death, whereas Levin had time to think about the fact that he was dying and that he was leaving everyone behind in a fucked up world. Alvis was pretty out of it himself after the fact. I will always believe he both intentionally and unintentionally killed Sigurd in that moment. He was overwhelmed and felt Sigurd was a threat to the happiness he finally found, and instinctively he probably wanted to get rid of him, but Sigurd accepted him despite learning his mother, thus he, had Lopt blood. I'm pretty sure Sigurd would agree that a painless death is better than what Manfloy's victims went through. HEY WHAT WHAT WHAT ALVIS IS MY ONLY HUSBANDO DRAGON DAD IS JUST LIKE HOLY DRAGON OF WORSHIP BLESS HOLSETY HE BLESSES US ALL AND SETY IS WELL SETY IS NOT AT HUSBANDO STATUS HE'S AT LIKE... NOT... HUSBANDO STATUS... LIKE... SOMEWHERE BETWEEN... ALVIS AND HOLSETY... WOW THIS IS AWKWARD... TE like deadpans sass and it makes me laugh. Gold. I knew someone would call it anticlimactic and I was hoping someone would call out the dramatic truth before me because it sounds nicer when TE (or like anyone not me lol) says it. I guess it's not climactic enough because all the units on the page didn't go gray and we didn't get a death roll call. Basically it's not climactic enough because we didn't actually literally get to see Sigurd burn, turn to ashes, and watch as Alvis catches his ashes like a child playing in the snow. Sorry, I'm happier having never seen that. Levin's pain was enough for me.
  12. I did mind everything Manfloy ever spoke on that day, and I did mind that poor Alvis actually broke down so bad that he confessed everything was Manfloy's fault and was still confused after he killed Sigurd. I talked about that scene with ChildofDain last night and ahhh... I feel so bad for Alvis. But man at least he did his part. Manfloy just screwed his entire side over and then goes WELL IT'S MOSTLY UNDER CONTROL. Mostly. Besides for the dragon that got away. Thanks for him. Still mad about everything Manfloy said and did and for ruining Alvis' life. Like dude if you're gonna ruin someone's life to start a war and all this crazy shit at least fucking win and know what you're doing. But noooOOOooo. I'm sorry, I've never watched Code Geass. ARE YOU DECLARING WAR ON ME
  13. Me too. But are your reasons the same as mine ? ? ? You'll be just like Manfloy, running for your life from dragon dad. Also you got Levin's Scarf there calling me Jade. Your nickname became infectious.
  14. Yes hi chapter 55 is up. I love you Sigurd but consider this revenge for the night I I was seething over how you spoke to my man. I will miss you and I am sorry and I love you in another way than I love Alvis. Expect tears this chapter; like, literally. Not even necessarily yours. Fuck Manfloy stat at 99 + Fuck Manfloy Ring for an additional + 5 Fuck Manfloy. I don't feel like ranting about gen 1 right now so it can happen later maybe. Fuck you Manfloy. At least if you plan to revive a dragon, revive the one you were trying to revive and not someone else's. Tough shit on you Manfloy. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. Okay, I've literally had this issue before and it was the worst, because I didn't know how to fix it, and I'm still not quite sure what really saved my game. Were you messing with any codes for cheats BEFORE you got to gen 2? That was what I had done, and I'm actually a bit relieved to know it's not just my game that screws up BOTH units. I had done nothing at all to cause the removal of Faval, but I guess that's just everyone's game, because I've seen this issue happen to someone on another site before (though they posted about it years ago so I was wicked late finding it). I've fast forwarded in every single one of my files and I use the function on and off for the entire game and that didn't happen once because of fast forwarding. I do believe you can talk to Aida without killing Reptor and it skips the entire ending of gen 1, though that might actually just be if you click the Talk option without Reptor ever even moving by way of cheats - I can't remember for sure. The only way I found to fix this was probably a result of me fixing the cheat problem. What I did: I had initially paired Levin with Diadora and Fury, and while I was warned about pairing Diadora with anyone else, I realized that had nothing to do with it because Levin is the major blood whose weapon passed down, and Celice got it. Because Celice acquires, in the case of coding, the male's inventory (supposed to be Sigurd but if you fuck around like I did he just inherits whatever father's inventory), he got Holsety, and it screwed my game into thinking I was supposed to have Sety because I paired Fury but I guess because Celice inherited from Levin, Sety couldn't get Holsety and it just caused a huge fuck up in the game, resulting in Hawk (one time my game stated his lover was Sety and I did absolutely nothing to lover codes so I can tell you right now my game was internally screaming at me for shit choices in life. I still to this day don't know how the coding fucked up so bad it actually said Sety's name when I had Hawk, which should be impossible because that's his sub). How I somehow fixed it: After a ridiculous number of fast forwarding cheat runs to try fixing the problem and scramming to chapter eight to see if the problem was solved, I gave up. I figured I'd pair Fury with Levin anyway so Fee could get Levin's skills and so her stats would reflect from that parentage. As I recall, I had previously turned on Fury's lover code and set it to Dew to see if anything would fix and it didn't, which is why I finally gave up. Continuing with an actual game, I turned OFF Dew's code and proceeded to pair Fury with Levin. I got Fee as expected, but then I got Sety, and his father was Dew and Fee's was Levin. Dew's code was, as expected, still off, and Fury's gen 1 endgame lover was Levin, so my game went a little crazy there too, but after that I paired Levin with Fury just fine and both Fee and Sety were in my games as Levin's children (versus the file were it was Levin and Dew). Basically it seems like it was just luck or something that my game read a code I had turned off, but I do know it had everything to do with my pairs. I don't know if you want to try this solution and see if it somehow works (I'm GUESSING doing it with either Faval or Sety is fine but I have no idea because again, nothing I did reflected against Faval AT ALL. All I know is if Sety is affected, Faval is too, so I'm guessing vice versa. I don't mean if don't pair the mothers and if you get one sub you get the other, but if the game is messing up and not reading Faval or Sety, it seems it won't read either of them; possibly because they're in the same chapter). Even if you weren't messing with cheats for pairings, that MIGHT help you, because it completely fixed my game and I haven't seen that issue happen to me once ever since. Once I completed the file with Dew as Sety's father and Levin as Fee's, everything proceeded like normal in my future files. A big reason you'll want to try fixing this though is that you can't ever recruit Asaello while this is going on if you've paired Brigid to get Patty even if you know you're not getting Faval, because Patty can't recruit Asaello. If you don't want Daisy and want Patty, you basically have to be ready to sacrifice Asaello entirely.
  16. Chapter 54 is up. Oosawa trying to make me feel pity for Manfloy and I'm sitting here like no effect. How dare you blame Levin for your problems from before he was even born, sir. Sigurd, watch yourself... You're gonna get burned...
  17. I'm pretty sure it was a requirement to the manga not to finish the ending so people would play the game and get their own ending. Five years later and FE4 was still FE's second best seller, so they probably hoped it would make more people come back to it. It was probably a contract or something similar that Oosawa wouldn't complete the game's storyline. That or they were nervously hoping people would forget how badly FE5 sold by bringing FE4 back in some manner. Xoxo FE5 and I am sorry.
  18. BECAUSE IT WILL BE WAY TOO LONG BEFORE I CAN REALLY DISCUSS ALVIS AGAIN WITH HIM BEING PROMINENT IN THE MANGA. It's okay, my wild fangirling is going to be back before Alvis anyway. It'll be a while anyway... but it'll be here. Sooner than Alvis... You did say you planned to stick with us until the end. >:O My last translator just disappeared without a trace, there was nothing we could do. D: On the other hand, so long as I have a translator, I will finish what I start. Though as I recall, my previous translator was the youngest in the team... In fact, the youngest this team's ever had... This project is a glorious project but it would be less glorious without you. D: Well I'm talking generally manga-wise here, and only
  19. Well, I don't mean to say he's a pushover, whether in personality or strength, but especially in this manga, it's made quite a point that Falaflame incinerates. Also, in terms of battle experience, Celice is only just under twenty years old, whereas Alvis is basically double his age, and Celice hasn't been really fighting for more than a few years by this point. The fact is though, if Alvis hadn't if Celice had been hit with Falaflame, I highly doubt he'd have lived. Celice isn't a pushover, but the people with holy blood in his army are mostly composed of teenagers with the lack of battle experience they'd need to fight someone so strong and capable. Even then Shanan is the only candidate imo, speaking under that logic, because Oifaye has minor Baldo and Fin and Hannibal have no holy blood at all (so even most of the people with plenty of battle experience don't have power to match Alvis'). I mean, gen 2 Levin is a choice, but I feel like that would end in half the country being blown up in one hit from the Holsety tome. Thanks for the comment! I'm actually going back and fixing up some of our old stuff from a year ago because Dain and I looked at it and were slightly appalled by our work from back then so I'm updating it to look closer to us our current stuff. Still in the process of that. If you want help with your English, "that scans" would be "those scans". It would be either "that scan" or "those scans". Even Dain isn't safe from TE sass. But it's Alvis time. I have to talk about him while I still can before the focus shifts to gen 2 and he's not around for such a long time. I ain't got time to chill. ...What pun? Also chicken knight is a great thing and if the scene wasn't so serious it would've been hilarious. I should crack typeset that too for somewhere... Trabant is a chicken knight and Lex is bita af. People may not get the inside jokes but that is okay because they're still worth it. Sigh, he says, as if he's not the one who stepped up for us in the first place. :P You get to enjoy reading the chapters first at least. :P I am pretty positive Sigurd does not know a damn thing about Manfloy even existing (and I think if he did he'd be a lot less ferocious toward Alvis in chapter 53). Fury SHOULD, seeing as she's seen him before... and same for Manfloy with her, but I'm not sure if they just utterly forgot about that back in Agusty orrrr it was just Oosawa who forgot. I mean, she could have told Sigurd HEY I SAW A SUSPICIOUS GUY IN AGUSTY (imagine how much time we could have saved and all the lives we could've saved folks), but that never happened so...
  20. No retirement for TE. You can't become a traveling elder again just yet. It's not The End yet. Lol what, his ashes are gonna rise up and take Alvis to trial? It's okay to be mad, Siggy, but I wish you were directing your anger at the right person, aka the guy who is about to kill your only surviving best friend. In fact, I also wish you knew he was the one plotting this and that Alvis is really just a decoy in Manfloy's grand ass schemes. I'd put up my dukes to fight you but like most of the Dukes are dead. But then, I guess Alvis still kind of qualifies??? Not quite Emperor yet, definitely above being a Duke... idk. Claude can't even fight, so he's a moot point. Maybe he can smack people in the head with the Valkyrie staff and hope to Blagi it doesn't break. DRAGON. SHANAN. TINY YURIUS! What's not to enjoy translating? Also maybe I should crack typeset that part and put dastard instead of bastard for obvious reasons.
  21. I will low blow Sigurd as many times as necessary in my defense of my favorite man. I'm pretty sure Levin and Fury are the ONLY ones in gen 1 I wouldn't low blow for him. :P Unless you mean Alvis to him and not me to him (regarding my above comment). Alvis needs SOMEONE to stick up for him. I accept his faults and flaws and acknowledge them and because I know what he did wrong and I am VERY PAINED BY HIS PAIN. Though I would rather not go on a rant just yet and will wait until chapter 55 is out. Also as for what you mentioned in volume sixteen, you're also lacking further events and context. That happened because What you're mentioning is stated right on the FE wiki on the Oosawa page and it has no context about the situation whatsoever, so that doesn't really make a valid argument in this situation.
  22. Oh but I would, TE, my good sir. Fuujin will be the translator for the earlier parts of this manga and our FE5 project and possibly more. Can you still threaten the same with that knowledge?! And I will probably have to pull a chapter 54 Alvis on you if you try to ditch us. In actuality, yes, we are very happy to have you helping us out and hope we can work with you until this project is complete. I've really loved working on this manga and I'm glad you stepped up so we didn't have to halt anything (also I love reading your commentary when you give me the translations. I tend to message ChildofDain laughing about them). Also I will fight that second comment because Anyone who follows my Tumblr may or may not remember my meltdown in Alvis' defense while typesetting this chapter tbh. Like okay yes I love Siggycakes but I had a rage fit while typesetting that LAWFUL TRIAL scene. Oh come on Sigurd, the king adores Alvis. Do you want to... break... the poor... old man's heart??? I also really want to punch Manfloy in the face, but that's a story I could tell everyday. For a lot of reasons. I also happened to have had fun with the title of the font I was using for Manfloy's flashback scene in chapter 54 ("Jade, stop catching up").
  23. How the fuck has it been a year already since I made the first post on this forum??? Happy first anniversary to Fala Scans, and super special thanks to the idiot who has followed me this whole way and even longer than that (she knows who she is; I ruined her life with FE4 and met her in person for proper effect). Super special thanks to Damosel for sticking with Fala Scans since the beginning and still being here! Super special thanks to TheEnd for saving our asses when we were out a translator (and declaring Alvis my husbando!) and for all the work he's done for us. Super special thanks to Fuujin for hopping on along the way to help us with our other projects (and howling over FE4 (and now more!) with me like... every day)! Super special thanks to Oosawa for being the reason this team got put together and why I got to meet most of my team members (and a lot of awesome fans of the manga)! Chapter 53 is up and my feelings are out. Contemplating changing name to Alvis Defender... Would be more proper... Would betray all of Jugdral for you, good sir... Volume nine cover indicating gen 1 will soon be placed on the back burner... ...What pun?
  24. The manga does actually show them fighting, and it goes back and forth between him and Sigurd during their last moments. Levin used Holsety in the manga against Daccar, but he didn't use it in fighting. He used it while playing a song for him, using it as a peaceful means to resolve the civil war. It's not a gameplay thing, but Oosawa was going with the notion that Holsety is peaceful and "his way is never to be confused with violence". Considering that very same dragon broke the laws of his kind to save the humans that the other dragons had given up on, I actually really liked the way Oosawa portrayed the tome as being able to solve things emotionally and not needing to destroy things. ...Then, well, Sety happened, so forget that! Destruction is fine!!! (See: Thracia having a war meeting over a fifteen year old) If you wanted to see Levin use the tome to wreck things, there IS a scene in the next chapter that TE and I are pretty sure is a combination of Falaflame and Holsety going off at the same time. Unfortunately Levin against Manfloy is pretty one-sided and Manfloy pretty much wrecks him. As far as Holsety having a one-sided destruction and looking awesome goes, you'll have to wait for Sety for that (which is unfortunately ages away as far as volumes are concerned). Yeah, I love Corpul, but having Levin as a father is a huge waste since he can't even use it until promotion, and by then game is basically over. Thankfully unlike most players Oosawa didn't bench Corpul at all and Claude being the father gave him some good panel time! Sety will continue to bear storyline importance from the moment he's introduced to the end, though with a volume in between because of the Lenster/Thracia stuff (i.e. Altenna) that takes up basically a whole volume and portions of the previous volume. You'll continue to see Holsety in gen 2, and a lot more of it, since Sety just kind of flings fancy magic around like it's as casual as a Wind tome... The good news is that Celice is completely aware Sety is godly with that tome, so expect fun, fancy magic more often in gen 2 to make up for its lack of appearances in gen 1. -u-
  25. Gen 1 still extends until chapter 55, so Sigurd will be keeping his body for another two chapters.
