  1. I hope the characters aren't as shallow. The only meaningful support convo was Henry+Olivia and MU+Nah. Everyone else talks about pie and barely scratches the surface of anything meaningful to develop a loving relationship.
  2. I would also recommend doing a few Paralogues before worrying about grinding. Honestly, you could go the entire game without reclassing. Does reclassing give the unit better stats? Yes, but it isn't entirely necessary until you get into higher difficulties where you spend more time grinding out exp. If I could recommend a skill worth having in any difficulty is Relief and Galeforce (they can be obtained by going through the same class tree: Peg Knight -> Dark Flyer). Class path comes down to what stat or skill you want. For instance, Sumia needs more Strength; reclass into Knight and promote into General. I would reclass at level cap (more stats blah blah blah). It all comes down to what stat you want the character to have and working with their class tree. Check the links below for a complete list of skills and the second link will tell you what level skills are learned at: http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_classes_in_Fire_Emblem:_Awakening http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Skills_in_Fire_Emblem:_Awakening
  3. I think that says more about how little faith they have in the multiplayer. Welcome to the club. Which is also the reason why I hope the Developers do more with the wireless capabilities. Only for the sake of comparison, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, has wireless online play and dropped the local only from 3DS (MH4U still has local but the 3DS isn't focused solely on local).
  4. Open beta? :3 Anyways, they're so far into development the thought of PvP was probably shit canned a long time ago. It's interesting to read what other people would like to see from multiplayer.
  5. That's where nerfs and restrictions come into play for balanced gameplay. Few interesting ideas I was toying around with for PvP was Siege. One player holds a fort for as long as possible whilst another player tries to take the throne. For some added fun bring back the dreaded fog from hell. Or cooperatively two (or more; increasing difficulty with more players) would hold/attack the fort. Keep in mind I haven't had the opportunity to play some of the co-op stuff so I'm kind of new in that aspect. With that being said I think it would be interesting to see co-op campaigns and challenges arise much like the DLC played. Wide open maps with waves of enemies would be interesting.
  6. Awakening was a bit of a let down for me in terms of multiplayer. Sure, the occasional street pass keeps me somewhat content, but I was expecting more with the latest functions of 3DS wireless capabilites. For example, my best friend and I do not live in the same state and have loved Fire Emblem ever since Fire Emblem Rekka no Ken (Blazing sword) was released for the GBA. The only way we can "play together" is by skyping, and in that sense it was a big let down for my friend and I. Personally, I would like more out of the multiplayer aspect of the game: direct Player vs Player on a dynamic or default map. What are your hopes for wireless? Any news that I'm unaware of?
  7. Try finishing the game on Normal. Awakening is nothing like the previous Fire Emblems. Awakening doesn't require, but it is recommended to reclass for ideal skills that come come with each class, for example: Galeforce (if you kill an enemy the character with Galforce can strike or move again) cannot be obtained by most units if you stick with their original class, you need to use a Second Seal. I have also held the same philosophy as you to never let a character die and play on classic. Mostly because it forces me to think twice and not think of the characters as expendable. In essence, beat Awakening on Normal so you can get a feel for the game and enjoy the story. Beat it a second time on Normal this time focusing on stats and skills. Then run a Hard Mode File. You'll understand by chapter 15 of the second run on Normal what you were doing wrong and will pay more attention to the skills of the enemy. if you need some information on skills and classes go here: http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Skills_in_Fire_Emblem:_Awakening http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Fire_Emblem:_Awakening_Classes If you need tips on which character should reclass, google and dig around there for a few ideas or post here.
  8. Since Rekka No Ken the cavalier has been my favorite.
