  1. This. Swordmasters forever! Honestly, I was going to say Stefan too, but I figured one selfish demand per person seemed like the reasonable limit.
  2. Dude, I am loving your playlist of TearRing Saga! You've earned a subscriber in me, even if it's after the fact. And now you're doing my favorite FE? Madness! I humbly request Zihark be given preferential treatment. No real reason other than he's my favorite.
  3. As someone who continues to lament the harsh reality of a sword lord with less than 27 neutral speed (Poor Chrom, Alphonse, and Seliph :'[), I really hope that even RD Ike has at least a passable speed. I'm not asking for Lon'qu level speed, just like a 29 or something. We already have a few slow sword lords, and they are much harder to use than their lightning-quick compatriots. No amount of ridiculous defense is worth getting doubled (or quad attacked) all the time, especially as a melee unit.
  4. Your offer of mathematics is appreciated, but unnecessary. Knowing that there's someone else out there making a +HP/-Res Robin work is heartening. He was the first unit I leveled to 40 back in February. It's like we're twinsies! Oh man, does this mean I'm going to start bungee-related bets soon? Either way, it's about midnight where I'm at, so I'm going to sleep on it. Perhaps I'll get a wild hair up my butt and promote one of the GHB heroes, or even Alphonse! Who knows?! I'm a madman with this mountain of feathers!
  5. I realize this might be the millionth time this question is asked, but now that I've gathered another 20k feathers I'm eyeing my M!Robins for which one would be best to promote. I have a +HP/-Res, +Spd/-Def, and 2 +Def/-Atk natures. Which one is the most useful? The +Spd one is looking mighty tasty, but the main thing I use him for is weird tanking scenarios and countering archers, and those both rely pretty heavily on his Def, which gets hit with a fat -4 total growth as a bane. I have other candidates for those feathers, but Robin can't be pulled as a 5-star variant for the time being, and he's proven his usefulness time and time again. I've only ever had enough feathers to promote one unit before, so now that the opportunity is here again I'm paralyzed by choice.
  6. I was drowning in subaki, hinata, and selena before skill inheritance was announced. I sent them all home so I could finally promote Anna to 5-stars. I don't regret having her, because she's awesome and so is Noatun, but I do regret having not just waited two more weeks for the feathers and having all those delicious skill donors around.
  7. Wow, congratulations to all you brave souls who took on the armor quest. I went nuts yesterday and spent 140 orbs trying to get the easter heroes, and got like 3 Gwendolyns and another Draug instead. Too bad I don't have time to level them all up AND grab 15 victories before the quest timer runs out. I also would have gladly traded them all in for a single green armor. I just finished the fliers quest, and I found it to be easier than the infantry and cavalry quests by a fair margin. Maybe it's because, since I did the other two already, I've learned to pick my battles a little better, but I think it might have to do with the team synergy. Florina came in extremely handy because she could donate hp to my hard hitters. She was only level 32 when I started tackling stratum 10. The combat bonuses granted by Hinoka, Palla, and Minerva all stacked nicely together, and since they can all fly, it made positioning for maximum effectiveness much easier. I guess the moral of the story is don't underestimate Florina as a poor man's healer.
  8. Baiting the archer at the bottom is a sound strategy. F!Robin will annihilate mighty mask, and you can either start the battle by moving her up top within his range, or you can stick your bait by the archer's wall, and mask will come running down the center. After he moves once you can position Robin just inside his attack range and the axe armor will still not be able to reach her. Have Tiki ready to step in front after he's dispatched, and the axe armor will then roast itself. How's Jakob's Def? If he can take a hit from the archer, just use him to bait the bottom so he can strike back, and stick your Lissa next to him. Rehabilitate should easily heal up whoever has to be archer bait. In my admittedly fallible opinion, 9-4 looks really scary, but is nowhere near the headache the 9-5 is. I have burned nearly all my stamina for the last couple of days banging my head against 9-5. How is it that my 5-star Minerva, one of the most offensively fantastic units in the game, can't ORKO that stupid blue mage at level 40? Why do they have 35 blasted speed?! Screw that guy!
  9. Oh, I agree that there's better, but his threaten attack 3 comes at 4 stars, and that's at the very least a decent filler for an off-tank. Also, Darting Blow? Are you sure it wasn't Death Blow? I ditched my Hawkeye already, but I could swear it was Death Blow...
  10. His defenses have spectacularly failed to impress me. Other than Anna he was my only axe user for several weeks, so I took him through most of story mode and put him on my arena team (HAHAHA what a terrible idea). Outside of a very select few scenarios he got doubled to death instantly, and on the rare occasion when he survived, failed to kill his target, and then either spent the rest of the fight cowering in the back or sacrificing his life to chip one more target. His special, while cool when it does finally go off, almost never reaches its timer. He's got some nice art, and I was also a fan from Blazing Sword, so I really tried to make him work, but Anna is a better unit, and she is guaranteed to be in your army from the start. :( He's got some decent skills to pass on, though.
  11. I managed to pull a 3-star F!Corrin with a +def/-atk nature. Attack bane is generally pretty terrible. Is she still worth training for use, or should I drop her into the skill fodder box with my duplicate Eliwoods and my mile-high pile of healers?
  12. I hated his stupid face when he was just 'Algus,' and I still hate it now. Man, he's got a punchable face.
  13. Well done! I eagerly look forward to your next endeavor! Here's hoping the OG Final Fantasy Tactics isn't too archaic for ya to enjoy. Also: There's a patch for that?!
  14. Hm, dang. I was kinda leaning towards the +spd Chrom, but now I'm totally on the fence. I suppose I'll just hold onto both and pray to the RNGods for a +Atk nature in the future. Thanks for the advice everyone!
  15. I've got 2 chroms, both 4-stars, with +spd/-atk and +def/-res natures. Which one is the better investment?
  16. Yeah, I was wondering about that too. My friend list is maxed out and I wanted to cull the randos who just added me from the arena to make room for more SF peeps, but the list seems to have been borked.
  17. No worries. I don't even think you were that harsh. I just couldn't help but go to bat after the OP specifically dissed my pretend internet bff harem. It must be a side effect of being a waifu wars veteran. :^P
  18. I'll be honest, the Game Grumps and Jim Sterling are among my favorite gaming personalities. I understand they rub some people the wrong way, but if you look through their history and admittedly enormous backlog of videos, you'll find that they are actually quite humble, generous, and honest, and I'm saying this as a fan of several games (and in some cases whole series and genres) that have been dismissed offhand by them. It's okay if you like something that somebody else doesn't like. It's also okay to like something that isn't good. It's important to know the difference between things you like and things that are good. I won't try and convince anyone to like them, but I just wanted to get in one positive note before the hate train got rolling. Also, not that they need the exposure or anything, but I also really like that Super Best Friends, and their often unmitigated excitement over most of everything. I was pretty sad to see Liam leave, because he's the biggest weeb of the group, and subsequently was the resident expert on Fire Emblem and stuff, but Woolie, Matt, and Pat are still quite the entertaining and goofy power trio. Oh man! If we're also talking about industry types, let me toss some love at Yoko Taro, a weird Japanese man who I only recently learned about. He has written and directed some of the most trope-defying, heartbreaking stories in all of videogames, and has a frank, self-deprecating, and goofy sense of humor that makes me laugh every time he does an interview or promotion for his games. His latest effort, Nier: Automata, is fantastic, but you don't even have to play any of his games to see what a daffy goofball he is. Just look up Yoko Taro on youtube and you'll be entertained. As for personalities I dislike... ... ... ...Hm, I'm drawing a blank here. Oh well, I guess it's not so bad not having a hate boner, right?
  19. Speaking of Lon'qu, I'd love to read some suggestions on how to improve him via inheritance. He's a favorite of mine, but other than being really fast he seems too weak and fragile to be of great use. Any ideas for skills that could boost his usefulness? If I could make him hit harder and/or last longer than one round of combat I'd bump him to 5 stars in a heartbeat.
  20. Congratulations! I have yet to save up the 20k feathers myself, because I kept bumping people up from their 2 and 3 star variants, and now I have so many 4 star heroes just waiting for a mountain of feathers to fall on us that I don't even know who I'm going to give that symbolic first promotion to. It's good to see that you kept your eyes on the goal this whole time.
  21. Stefan, Lute, and Nailah. Mostly Stefan and Nailah, because I once got sick and had this fever dream where they are cruising across Tellius in a convertible, wearing dark sunglasses, and having buddy-cop style adventures while Rafiel played on a Gameboy in the backseat. Lute because she always does real work for me in SS, and I kinda like that she knows how awesome she is.
  22. That'd probably be me. My only Chrom is a fresh 4* level 1derdog, and I thought she'd be a nice counter against Eph's primarily physical bulk. I'm a helper! (Chrom on and slam! And welchrom to the jam!)
  23. I'm pretty sure I'm on your friend list (Malarus), and I have a Leo, who I'm siding with against all odds come gauntlet time. If you want to join up, I'm sure we could use some sturdy green units in the first round.
