  1. Just fine. Everyone has what they need-at least for Apo (which is what this advice will be for) Do note that you generally shouldn't use MaMU in Apo if his wife doesn't have Galeforce-which is the case here. Ah well, more staffbots never hurt. Also, you'll have one girl too many if my calculations are correct, so you'll have to bench someone. Nah or Noire are most likely the least damaging choices, but it's up to you to choose. Chrom and Sumia plays as Sniper x Sage. Lucina has her legendary Sniper set with Zerk support. GL sports massive Spd and lance access (underwhelming in Apo, but hey, it's something). Cynthia sports a good Sniper set. However, her access to a Faire makes other classes possible, such as Paladin (solid thanks to high Spd), Dark Flier (if married to a magic Galeboy), or Bride (high Spd, Bow access, +Mag bonus), among others. Gerome is Hard Support Hit+20 Zerk, the typical. Morgan's Wyvern Lord is a bit slow, but you could solve this problem with +Spd support. She'll do well in any physical class (other than GK) to make use of that tasty Str mod. Do note her Mag is neutral-this can help her Ignis. Have MaMU pass down Axefaire to enhance her class choice further. Owain & Brady are Sages. You could try out Dread Fighter for Owain if you decide to marry him to a physical girl. Severa can play around with Wyvern Lord and Dark Flier, along with some classes I probably forgot. Just don't use Sorc for Apo. Noire got Sniper, BK w/Zerk support for 75 Spd and Levin Sword DK with hard Support Sage Laurent. Finally, you always have bench-warmer. Kjelle can play around with Hero or Paladin, but she'll want +Spd support for the latter. Nah is most likely Hero. She's too slow for anything else except Griffon Rider, which, well, is kind of a subpar class. I once saw someone play her as Sage, but it's honestly a massive waste of Vaike's Str. Or bench her. Laurent is hard support Sage, or Zerk if you really need one. Nosfertanking Sorc for Non-Apo will makes pasta out of anything short of Lunatic+ (or Lunatic final boss). That's how I won my only Lunatic run, in fact (I prefer Apo optimization). Libra!Inigo is most likely Vengeance Sage. If you need him physical, try Hero (or Warrior / Dread Fighter with + Spd support). Vengeance Zerk possible only if her wife has Anathema. Henry does physical sets a tiny bit better-swapping him and Libra is an option in that case. Owain would lose a bit of Skl and Str from the swap. Yarne is Hit+20 Zerker, typical yet again. But so powerful... Pairings tends to be more around class synergy and pair-up bonuses than any precise rules. Keep in mind Spd thresholds (66, 69, 75) and what you want (75 isn't really that critical if you have Snipers, and 69 is rather easy to reach). Stahl!Owain is most likely the best physical Owain you can get. Mods are a bit scattered and rather low, but nothing is negative and you can play with quite a few classes other than Sage : -Hard support Zerk is an option (although why no Gale ?). Don't try Luna/Ignis + Zerk, low Skl makes it unreliable. -Dread Fighter really amps the versatility up a notch, with 3 different weapons and capacity to attack efficiently thanks to Pavise / Aegis bypass and magic weapons. -Warrior is a bit slow-nothing +Spd support can't fix, and is still quite strong. -Paladin ? A bit slow and lacking in power in my opinion. -Sniper, because more Snipers = better, especially in Apo. An all-in-all rather solid choice, typical example of sacrificing some power for high versatility.
  2. First off, I haven't been there in a while, so I may have missed interesting discussions. So, let's see what we've got there... As always, this is primarily Apo-centered advice. Yarne, Kjelle, Severa, Noire, Nah - all good. I guess you're benching Gerome, hmmm ? Perfectly viable. But you may want not to use Fred here. Kellam, perhaps ? Cynthia is as good as she can be. Lucina & Morgan may be a little weaker than with other pairings, but you should be able to use them well. Choose your asset and flaw well-something moire Str-oriented (Str and Skl) would be ideal, but Mag's always an option. -Def is the go-to flaw for Apotheosis Libra!Laurent is... kind of odd. I've used a few times-the point of this pair is to get a usable (if imperfect) Laurent with little opportunity cost, since Laurent has everything he needs for hard supporting both as Sage or Zerker. The number one problem with this pair is the lack of versatility from Laurent. You may want to play around with Owain's and Brady's dads to give him Gregor for non-Apo Nosfertanking. If you don't care, however, feel free to change nothing. Owain wants a proc, which Gregor doesn't give. So, what to do ? If you want physical Owain, try Stahl (put Virion on Yarne, Fred on Inigo). Magical ? Use Ricken, and swap around dads to give Brady someone like Libra. Inigo is just like Owain-he wants a proc, and Virion don't give any. Best options are a swap with Yarne, or to use Fred on him. You could try Libra or Ricken for a magical set. Ricken!Brady isn't bad per se. But you may have to change his dad depending on your other pairing choices-as long as he doesn't lower his Spd nor his Mag. Libra is your best shot here.
  3. Alright... I'll be honest here, most of your pairs are rather poor, for Apo at least. Keep in mind one of the 2nd generation girls will have to be benched. I personally recommend Nah for benchwarming. Let's begin by the good ones, shall we ? Yarne will be just fine. Grab Hit +20, Zerker, and go to town. Lucina & Cynthia are good as well. Sniper (at least one cuz Snipers rock Apo), DF (if nothing else), Paladin (with Lancefaire for Cynthia), and quite a few more. Severa will be ok. +Spd would arguably be better, but comes a moment where you don't need that much speed (anything above 75 is basically wasted). Depend on class, thresholds, and DLCs. However, definitely go -Def, as -Lck hurt your offenses. Morgan is pretty good no matter her mom, as long as there isn't extreme mod clash. Now, for the others... Kjelle wants GF. Give her Donnel. Kellam rarely ever find use, being essentially a watered-down, weaker, slower Ricken. Laurent... if you want to Nosfertank in non-Apo business, use Gregor. For purely magic hard support, any dad that don't destroy his Mag can fit, really. Gerome can use AF Warrior, true. Henry can also do that, and, even more, give him Anathema to actually make him viable as a Zerker. If you want Warrior, use Virion for Bows. Never use Gregor on Inigo, ever. He gets almost nothing out of this deal. No new classes, just a few mods. Give him Vengeance (Henry for physical, Libra for magic) or Luna (Fred, or Ricken for magical Luna... but Owain and Brady already do that). Owain wants Luna (Ricken) or Vengeance (Libra. Henry works, but he likely has better to do). Brady wants Spd. But putting Gaius on a son (or Cynthia) is a waste of Pegasus Knight, don't do that. Give him L'Q, he's less in demand and he has more speed. Nah will most likely be benched. If she isn't, you could put Vaike or Henry on her. Failing that, any leftover dad will do. Noire ideally wants GF (from Gaius). She can work without it, but it's just much simpler to give her Gaius and be done with it.
  4. We all have much to learn. And I do realize Snipers are awesome. Longbows alone shuts down quite a few threatening enemies (from the top of my head, invicisorcs, goddess Anna, arguably Ikeadin & his falcoknight buddy). High skill helps a ton with procrate and DS% (except for Lucy / Chrom because DS+ is one of the best non-LB skill in the game) Decent Str and rather good distribution (Lucy & Noire always get it, Cynthia quite often, Avatar & Morgan as well) Excellent synergy with Zerker (Especially w/ Chrom / Sumia, because two 75 Spd Snipers w/ Zerk support.) Only flaw of the class (1-rng, lackluster defenses) is a non-issue because Apo is 100% Player Phase combat anyway and Sniper's whole shtick is to outrange and kill its enemies without possibility of retaliation from them. Which is a must in Apo due to the extremely threatening enemies (basically everything has 80+ Atk & procs, dragonskin makes Nosferatanking unviable). This is also what makes EP combat / tanking in Apo a terrible idea. In fact, not knowing / understanding that you cannot afford EP combat is what truly makes Apo difficult. Once you understand that Apo is all about picking enemies off one by one on PP, never giving them the possibility of rushing a character in EP, through liberal use of Gale / Dancing / Rescue staves, it becauses much easier. In the normal game, you can afford to let them attack you, since bar Lunatic+ (which is not the subject of this thread anyway), almost nothing has a combination of procs and enough power to break tanks, especially if they heal. I do believe the Lunatic Final Boss could have powerful enough minions, but barring that... tl;dr Snipers aren't "decent" in Apo, it's closer to "best class" - in that precise situation, the nature of Apo makes it an extremely powerful class.
  5. Every pairing is good here. Keep in mind a second generation girl will get the bench. My personal recommandation would be to bench Nah. Severa's and Morgan's role will depend on their mods. Considering's Robin's asset/flaw (and assuming those haven't changed), good ol' GF + Proc skirmishing seems the best option. That, or Nosfertanking, but Sev's mag growth makes it unviable imo (Nosfertanking is unviable in Apo because of 80 Atk+ enemies w/Dragonskin & procs) Lucina + Cynthia skirmish with GF + LunAether. Sniper + Zerk is a good option. DF is viable as well, although I'd rather put it on Cynthia because Lucina does not have the room for Tomefaire. Owain & Brady are Luna + GF Sages. Inigo uses Vengeance. As for his class... SM is rather poor in Apo. Assassin is a bit better. You could try Zerker, but his wife'll need Anathema (or Hex if sticking to melee combat) in her set for Hit. Hero (and technically BK, which is a watered-down Hero on a horse with Bows instead of Axes) is a decent all-around option. Noire can do a lot of different things. Just, do not Nosfertank with her (no AT makes it poor). Sniper is decent. BK is good with +3 Spd support. DK and Trickster are gimmick options for Levin abuse with Sage husband. Kjelle leads with appropriate class and Faire. She is too slow for General, however, and GK is terrible. Paladin or Hero are most likely the best options here. WL also comes to mind. Laurent can Nosfertank in non-Apo stuff. Do keep in mind this makes the game laughably easy. Otherwise, make him a magic attacker. In Apo, hard support Sage. Berserker could work, but... Nah... bench her. If you don't... you have AF Hero for leading, or AF General in the backline. But the guys outclass her a supporting because lolAggressor. Gerome is a BF Warrior as hard support. Yarne is a Berserker hard support. I made this post a few pages ago, it contains general info on how to set up your character's skills for Apo. Perhaps I should write an Apo guide...
  6. Let's see... Gotta be honest, as AT said before me, Vaike!Owain isn't very good. Neither is LQ!Inigo, for that matter. Eveything else is good. So, what to do ? Well, you haven't mentioned Ricken. And yet, he's your best option for Owain, with Luna and ton of Mag. Unless you are a Vengeance user... in which case swapping Vaike and Henry is your simplest option. That or some shuffling around to have Libra on him, both will work (try to give LQ to Brady in that case, since iirc he's regularly used almost only on Brady and Severa.) Inigo ? Shove Fred (Luna) or Henry / Libra (Vengeance) on him. Problem solved. Effectively, you may end up benching Nah because of F!Morgan. In which case give, you should give her one of the weaker fathers. Henry's one of the better, so it feels rather wasteful. You could try to put him on Gerome (Zerk + Anathema for Hit boosting, works almost exactly like Yarne, if you prefer that to Virion's BF Warrior, of course), Owain or Inigo. Put Vaike on Nah-he's only really useful on her and Severa, who's dad is already locked. Choose Avatar's asset / flaw well. + Str or Spd, - Def are most likely your strongest options. Don't do -Lck (you lose dual offenses for Ignis) or -Mag (you lose Spd, which is bad). You'll end up with three dads on the bench rather than the usual two.
  7. Much higher Spd (42 vs 35)-enough to reach 69 with AS+2 and +0 partner in Apo conditions for Hero, while General wants + Spd support. Also, more versatile pair-up boosts (+3 Spd / Skl, +2 Def versus + 3 Str, + 5 Def), and she wants a Galeboy husband. Hero!Nah can help any of the three Galeboys (everyone love Spd & Skl), but Owain & Brady being magical, they have no need for General pair-up boosts. And Nah / Inigo (who is more hybrid) is just... ugh. Although, physical M!Morgan can circumvent that issue altogether. Mobility is a non-issue for both classes because V!N has both Deliverer and Mov+1.
  8. Alright, let's check that out... Most of your pairings are good. That said... Morgan is sadly going to be underwhelming in Apo due to Chrom's rather middling mods. That stated, he'll work for the main game, and Apo can be easily stomped with only a few optimized pairs. Lucina gets aplenty classes, but depending on MU's mods, her final class is going to vary. Yarne is a bizarre case, as while he'll work as General, he could be better. Just swap Fred and Stahl for Hit+20, and he's ready to kick butt as a Zerker. Owain & Brady will work in any magic class. So will Laurent, you could use Nosfertanking in non-Apo business to wreck everything. Noire's role will depend on the rest of your team. GF Sniper, Levin Dark Knight, Bow Knight... Sev can do SF Hero or LF Wyvern with Zerk support. Kjelle want a leading class with appropriate Faire. Cynthia wants a magic class like Dark Flier. Gerome is a Bowfaire Warrior. Nah is most likely going to be Axefaire Hero. Inigo wants a physical class with appropriate faire.
  9. Ok ok ok... First, and foremost, don't do Fred!Gerome. He sucks. Stahl or Virion will work infinitely better on him. Yarne will grab anyone who has a hit booster (Libra is still free, or Virion if he ain't on Gerome). Alternatively, replace Kellam with Fred-he's not perfect, but he's better. Also, Stahl!Sev has an hair color seen by some as atrocious. Also, where's Morgan ? That said, for Apo... This is the skirmisher set you should use on everyone with GF (and Nah): Limit Breaker/A Primary Proc/A Faire/Galeforce/A Filler Primary procs are Luna, Ignis, and Vengeance. Filler can be : secondary procs (Astra, Aether), boosters (AS+2), other skills (Deliverer, Acrobat, Dual Support +, and a ton more). Lucina does not use a faire, and instead goes with Luna/Aether/Dual Strike +/Limit Breaker/Galeforce. Galeboys use Aggressor in filler slot. Nah eschews Gale for another Filler-she has surprising versatility. The hard support set, which is used by all GF-less boys : LB/Agg/A Faire/AS+2/Filler If Zerker, filler is an hit booster. Str+2/Mag+2 otherwise. For non-apo, Nosfertanking > everything. Just shove AT and one of Sol/Vengeance on anybody able to Sorcerer. Vantage is cool if possible. So is GF.
  10. Note that for classes, Robin, always has Grandmaster has an option-a balanced boost to all relevant offensive stats, versatile yet tremendously powerful. Cordy : You'll want Robin to boost either Severa's Str or Spd with the appropriate asset. Flaw should be something that doesn't matter much such as Def or Lck. As far as the couple itself go, you could go for a skirmishing set with Vengeance as a proc and GF or good ol' fashioned nosferatanking if you're not talking about Apo. Sumia : A DF skirmishing set with GM support from Robin would work best, I think. Shove Luna/TF/GF and go to town. Robin should be +Mag. Flaws are overall the same as Cordy's, with perhaps Str as well if the Skl loss doesn't matter to you. Olivia : If you want her to keep a Dancer role, Robin's class won't matter very much, especially if Rescues are involved for mobility. That said, a Mov boost is sill helpful-I believe GK, Griffon, DK, and the Thief-Trickster line all boost it, among others. Inigo is very versatile-asset is offensive stat of your choice, with Def flaw. Have him skirmish everything. Tiki : Her best role is most likely Manakete tanking. But her daughter will beat her to that no matter what. Have her stringing along her husband as a Manakete (dual offense boost synergizes wonderfully with Ignis). Morgan is an AT Manakete tank. Robin will do well in any hybrid or magic class-the faster, the better. Asset and Flaw are up for grabs-this said, avoid -Str (weakens Morgan) and -Spd (don't wanna be doubled). Never bring this pair in Apo. Cherche : She's tough, she hurts hard but she is a little slow. Have Robin boost her tanking ability with something like Warrior. Gerome just wants more Str to hurt harder, since no GF means he's permanently in the backline-for Apo, that is. In non-Apo, he could try a tanking set with Sol/Vantage/AT and Hell's Wrath Helswath. Asset should be Str or Spd, flaw should be Luck. Miriel : She is a powerful but squishy mage. A support Sage set may be a viable option, or some Nosfertanking. Robin will want GM and +Mag to kick a maximum amount of butts. Shove -Str or -Lck as flaws. If using her as Sage support, perhaps Robin could be the one Nosfertanking ? Laurent can, and will, be a wonderful Nosfertank with Robin as his dad. That, or shove him in the backline-works better with Agg. Lucina : There are far too many options for her, so I can't tell you. That said, -Def and -Lck all works, and Morgan will kick ass. Morgan will kick ass no matter her mom, however.
  11. So... Lucina and Cynthia are fine, with options aplenty. Owain is fine. Yarne will do a decent job at supporting, but will have to use General for Apo. Kjelle... is kinda bad, honestly. Well, mods are good, but Kjelle wants GF so bad, especially for Apo... Inigo will most likely do fine in non-Apo, but he's kinda poor for Apo due to no reliable proc. Severa is decent. It's not that Laurent is bad, but he's kind of a waste of L'Q's speed. Nah is... lackluster in Apo due to no offensive proc (other than possibly Luna Lance, and even then...). Brady owns in Apo no matter his dad. Noire is good. Gerome is alright. Noire!Morgan is an unusual choice, but the mods will give her versatility aplenty. Note that +Spd may not be needed for Apo. I would do a few switches. To be more exact, I'd switch around Donnel and Vaike (so Donnel!Kjelle, who has GF and Vaike!Nah who gets a reliable proc and AT, but no GF, which is standard practice), along with Fred and Virion (Virion!Yarne gets +Hit for awesome Zerk hard support and Inigo gets Luna for Apo). I'd think he'd work as a Vengeance attacker with Swordfaire. Give him Levins and Eirika's/Braves (Vengeance is much better with Braves). The thing with VV is that it requires an absurd amount of preparation and prerequisites in order to work, but once it's launched....
  12. Alright... no matter your choices, somebody will get the short end of the stick. No matter what, Fred should go with Panne (Fred!Gerome is bad because no Faire, and he'd kill Laurent's Magic) As for the other two, it's a throw-up... Basically, Greg!Laurent > LQ!Laurent, but Greg!Gerome > LQ!Gerome. Really, you'll have to pick.
  13. Not giving Nah GF is standars practice-none of the GF dads (except for MU, but he's a special case) give a reliable proc, and she'd need both to be useful. So without GF, a reliable proc is the better choice, as she'll still pack a decent punch. Nah will need to inherit her dad's Axefaire. If you do these switches (which I recommend) For Non-Apo : Laurent can Nosfertank with AT, which is godly in non-Apo. Yarne gotta have to support somebody, I think. Make him a Zerk and slap him on a physical girl with GF. Nah is a Manakete with AT and Sol. She tanks everything. Gerome could attempt tanking with Sol, or support using his Swordfaire or Bowfaire. For Apo : Laurent support a as Sage. Yarne support as a Zerker using his dad's Hit+20. Nah... needs a husband with GF, so Owain, Inigo or Brady. You have her husband take a kill, than you switch on her to use Agg to its maximum capacity. Her best class is most likely Hero. Gerome is a Warrior with Bowfaire for maximum damage output. Depending on your choices, perhaps you could change classes to accomodate special needs (Spd) for his wife, but I do think Warrior is best here. Marry him to a physical Galegirl.
  14. So... As a whole, your pairings are decent. Most of your kids should be useful. Apo will be doable, especially in No Holds Barred where you can crush even the Secret Path easily. In details... Lucina : Maribelle is unusual, but you should get by. She gets to play with a decent magic stat and good classes. For Apo, make her husband GM in the backline (LB/Agg/Tomefaire/AS+2/Filler). For non-Apo, Lucina should be supporting Nosfertank MU (since he seems to be magic) Brady : He's Brady-got everything he needs for Apo. What Chrom brings to him is RFK-it can fun to use (100% Aegis/Miracle, by example.) but is generally impractical. Stick Brady to what he does best-skirmishing. Owain : Typical, and good. Make him a Sage for Apo, and GF+Agg skirmisher outside of it. Yarne : He's got decent mods, but no Hit booster for hard support Zerker-General will have to suffice in Apo. For non-Apo, you could try a tanking set with PavGis, or a support for a GF skirmisher. Kjelle : For non-Apo, she is decently quick, and get Sol+AT+Vantage to almost guarantee victory in mass EP melees, and GF gives her decent mobility. For Apo, she has good options for skirmishing, since Apo is nothing but PP combat. Laurent : Unusual, but it'll work. For Apo, Laurent has eveything he needs in his base set. Since Virion do not hurt his magic, he'll be good. For non-Apo, have him supporting. Cynthia : She'll be alright for Apo and outside of it. For Apo, you have Valk and DF for magical offense. Also, she can inherit Axefaire from her dad-if War Cleric is your thing... For non-Apo, just have her Nosfertank everything. Severa : Non-Apo : Nosfertanking. Need I say more ? For Apo, you'll have to slip by with Vengeance DF or Sage-she gets Tomefaire to play with from her dad. She's unusual, but she'll work. Nah : For non-Apo, no issue whatsoever, as AT Manakete owns. For Apo, it's less good... The problem is that she only gets Astra, and it's kind of unreliable... You could attempt a specialized build maximising Str+Skl, or don't use her in Apo. Moreover, you may have to end up to marrying her to Inigo, which is a problem (the support line is atrociously bad). Noire : Awesome. For non-Apo, you can Nosfertank or skirmish. For Apo, you get Sniper, Bride, BK, Levin Sword DK, possibly Assassin... You'll have to find your favorite option-each have perks and flaws. My personal recommandation would be Sniper (always good to have one). Inigo : Very similar to Chrom!Inigo. Note that you may have to marry him to Nah. For non-Apo, your best option is most likely Hero with AT/Sol and Tomahawks, to send into melee similarly to Kjelle. For Apo, you can make him a Sniper, a Hero, a Paladin... check Spd thresholds (75 for everything, 69 for almost everything) to adapt his eventual wife's class (no matter who it is) so he can reach them. Gerome : He does get Axefaire, but no Hit booster... For non-Apo, you can make him a flying Sol tank as a WL. For Apo, choose a non-Zerk axe class in the backline, such as Warrior. Morgan : Valk or DF in Apo, Nosfertank out of it. Marry her to a magic boy. If you are willing to switch... Switch Stahl and Fred, and Vaike and Gregor. This will give Nah Luna (much better in reliability) while keeping AT+Sol, and Gerome will keep Axefaire. Yarne gains Hit+20 for Zerker, and Inigo loses next to nothing from the switch.
  15. You pairings are run-of-the-mill for the most part, but they should work out. A few things, though : -Stahl!Severa's hair color is considered by many as atrocious. So you may want to check that out beforehand. She is also not the best if you are using Vengeance. But depending on your playing methods, you may end up getting more mileage from Luna than Vengeance. -You may end up having to pair Inigo and Nah. Their support line is also considered by many (including me) as... quite bad. You may want to check them out on Youtube beforehand. As for the pairings/classes : Sumia is a Sage. Chrom is a Sniper. BK can work out if Chrom stays exclusively in the backline, but Snipeer allows him make great use of Sage dual strikes and his own Luna+Aether. Lucina should be a Sniper with Zerker MaMU in the backline-you get 75 spd Sniper to double everything with longbows. and own with Luna+Aether. MaMU could also use Sage depending on his Asset/Flaw. Gerome and Yarne marries a physical girl with Galeforce. They are both Zerkers. Laurent marries a girl with Galeforce-you'll prefer magic as a Sage, but he is workable as a Zerker to support a physical one. Nah marries a Galeboy. She'll be a Hero most likely. Noire is Sniper or DK (Sage support), or BK (Zerker support). Bride is also workable with a magic Galeboy. Depending on Avatar's Asset/Flaw, Morgan can use quite a few ending classes. WL with Zerker support, Valkie or DF with Sage support, Grandmaster... Have her inherit Axefaire from her dad to maximize her options. Severa will have to play around with SF Hero, BF BK and possibly Paladin with a +Spd support behind. She can also use Bride with a magical Galeboy behind. Inigo can use Hero, Paladin, BK, Warrior. He will need a +Spd support from his wife no matter his end class. Exception is Assassin. Brady and Owain are Sages. Owain could use Dread Fighter if you put him with a Bride. Cynthia is DF with Sage support, or Sniper with Zerk support.
