I'd assume letting Larentia be captured in her starting chapter will make you miss out on all the scenes with her that will unlock her as a mercenary. 😞

I think the first time the TV channels in my country actually marketed them as anime was around the release of Pokémon. At least that's when I realised that these shows originated from Japan and I was kinda drawn to the artstyle that most of these shows had, but what kept me interested were the ongoing storylines like in Inu Yasha or Escaflowne, but I also liked shows like Detective Conan which were more episodic. Sometimes Ghibli movies were shown on TV and I really love those. They look really beautiful as well~ For a very long time I didn't know any other way to watch them except waiting for them to show up on TV which at one point became a rarity (at least for shows I was interested in). I kept my interest though due to playing JRPGs like Tales of, Fire Emblem or Baten Kaitos. It was around 2009 when I got my own laptop that I started researching more about it. Anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Nana, Aoi Hana, Kemono no Souja Erin or Great Teacher Onizuka then really made me feel like this hobby is worth getting into, ehehe.

And then you started Berwick Saga after finishing Champions of Yutona. So I started playing it in 2018 and it made me feel things I haven't felt while playing a video game in a long time. Now that I have finished it I can also say that it never let me down. There is so much care put into the characters with everyone having their own little story arc. And every map feels like a great adventure; you wouldn't expect so much exploring elements in a strategy game, but Berwick Saga did it - and so amazingly well. FE says they work together. So I don't see an interpretation of Thales & Co. being FE's minions as possible. I think the game is quite clear on FE and the shadow gang being two different parties. Tbh I think most of them are weird. Some I think are even creepy. I agree with this thread topic though. The fact that TWSITD were dealt with offscreen on El's route combined with the lower amount of chapters makes it pretty clear.

Hmm, favourite characters … Akaneia: Shiida/Caeda, Marth, Roger Valentia: Lyon, Valbar, Mae, Celica (Gaiden) Jugdral: Sigurd, Arvis, Lachesis, Lewyn Elibe (2nd Gen): Cath, Igrene Elibe (1st Gen): Hector, Hawkeye, Rebecca, Fiora, Pent, Louise Magvel: Ephraim, Eirika, Tana Tellius: Ranulf, Ike, Mia, Soren, Alja/Mist, Stefan, Volker/Volke, Tibarn, Leanne, Skrimir 21/32 are in Heroes, which is fine. Three of them kinda got screwed by their artist though (Mae, Lachesis, Mist). Everytime I think about making a great build for them I see their art and lose all motivation. :'( Roger will probably never make it in, but the others all have a chance. Also, I didn't play Thracia. And I could never get into any of the characters from Fates and Awakening.
