  1. Or if anyone wants to start a new one here, that would be awesome too! I’ve been thinking back on my one (1) experience with a Fire Emblem RP with War of Men, which I just looked up and found that it’s 6 years old, which obviously made me feel positively ancient. Since then this forum has had Anon’s FE campaign which I sadly missed the recruitment on. As interests tend to do, mine has cycled back to Fire Emblem, particularly fan creations of such, and I have a hankering for some collaborative FE drama & combat. My mind isn’t particularly geared towards running games, especially not ones with a lot of math involved, so I’m not sure I’d do great at being the one to create it. There’s a Fire Emblem roleplay Discord, but that seems to be focused solely on role-playing different FE characters rather than new campaigns. Is there anywhere left on the internet where said campaigns are alive, well, and recruiting? Or have I just straight up missed my chance? Thank you in advance?
  2. It is VBA, you’re right! That’s the only chapter that’s had problems though, so I can live with it. Dogs, tricks, etc. I’m up to Chapter 25 now, still having a fantastic time! I do have a couple of story things I’d like to suggest if you’re alright with that; one is just a word change, the other is actual work and I completely understand if you aren’t down for it.
  3. That one stumped me for a while too! The key is to stay as far back as possible and hit the wall instead of trying for the door, that way you can just deal with one at a time and you'll have Ramon to help tank the enemies. That, and don't take too long to get inside the castle.
  4. Hi there! I'm still playing and still highly enjoying myself. A couple of other things I've noticed: In the Vigarde fight, the game freezes after Duessel fights Vigarde. Similarly, in Chapter 21x the game freezes between Enemy Phase 1 and Player Phase 2, but after speeding up it eventually starts working again. Hope this helps! Edit: looks like the lag issue is just for the whole map in 21x actually
  5. Good sir,
If I might ask, who is the masked fellow in your profile picture?

Certainly, that would be the late great Dmitri Hvorostovsky in the title role of Don Giovanni Unmasked, in a rare instance of seeing him without white hair.

Wow, poor guy. RIP. I can see why you picked him though, he cuts a very striking figure. Do you recommend the show?

Absolutely! As I recall it’s a shortened film version of the opera, a great way to get into the medium if you’ve ever been curious about what Dorothea and Manuela were up to before they got real good at murder.

  6. So I'm trying to follow your advice here, but whenever I try to patch the (already patched) .gba file with the 1.10 ups file it keeps saying the patch doesn't match the file. I'm pretty new at this, do I need to get a fresh new FE8 ROM every time I want to patch? If so, it'll still use the same .SAV file, right? Stupid questions I know, just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Also, don't know if you've fixed this yet, but any time I try and do a support in Chapter 10 it just does a line of Novala dialogue and then stops.
  7. I downloaded this a couple days ago and just reached Chapter 8, I’m loving it so far! You’ve really managed to capture the characters’ voices in your original scenes, and Novala and Melville crack me up! I have noticed one glitch so far, which is that on the turn the player’s reinforcements come in Chapter 8, I saved Harriet and Eliana to move last and the game automatically ended my turn as if I’d moved all my units. They could probably have used the breather after trying to keep up with Kyle and Forde, so I’m not mad about it; just figured you should know.
  8. I think I have a good idea for this! Before I start, since I’m new: how married are we to the traditional short story format? Would it be heresy to do something a little more unconventional?
  9. This made my day! I’m so happy you enjoyed it. I’m glad you thought the climax went well. I knew I wanted him to face off solo with a raven laguz just because I thought it was perfect thematically; Shinon hates laguz, he normally would have no problems with a raven thanks to his bow advantage, and if the main force was going to send anyone it would be 1, the one they least cared about and 2, the one who could get there and back quickest through a wooded area. That all made sense to me. What didn’t make sense was how to get him out of that alive. I honestly don’t think he should have lived, but killing him off would’ve gone against the prompt and the theme of the story of survival against all odds. I ended up compromising and making it essentially a draw, but it still felt like a bit of a cop out. I don’t know, what do you guys think should have happened?
  10. I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m kind of on the same boat as you, the story could use some punching up. As to the title, it’s a reference to both the hairline fracture in the Killer Bow that kicks off the story, and how close Shinon comes to death throughout the whole ordeal. That would probably make sense, yeah... I haven’t played Path of Radiance in a while, so I set this kind of out of the timeline, since there’s no real location I can think of where this situation could have happened.
  11. Alright, this is the first real thing I've written for a while, even longer since it's fiction. Honest feedback is appreciated! Title: Hairline Fandom: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance Word Count: 1728 Author's Notes:
  12. Never done anything like this before, but I love writing and there's no excuse not to now that I'm locked in the apartment. I'll throw something in, I think.
  13. Just coming back, seems like Ena left at the same time I did. Too bad, I was having a lot of fun, too...
  14. You can still sign up. The level average is still pretty low, I'd say you'd be in the clear if you came in at level 3 or so.
  15. That's what I've been trying to get Radle to do.
