  1. 1) Going thru some of the inventory pages, I'm curious if there is any purpose to Elise's Young-Staff? A 1-use stave that heals for 10 HP seems like it's the staff equivalent of a joke weapon. It just seems like a vastly inferior version of the physic staff. 2) Does Misfortune and Sin work on bosses? 3) For the classes that can reach an S-rank in weapons, does the advantage of being able to use the S-rank weapons weigh out being limited to one weapon type? (Not including Ninjas, of course.) I understand if this question has too many outside variables to give a straight answer to.
  2. Sorry, I've never played a hack of anything before before so I wasn't aware you needed a ROM. I assumed it came with it. Thanks.
  3. What am I supposed to use to play this? Let what do I need to download to play this game?
  4. Well Clear Mind would also help with Brave Weapons and certain other weapons but it's true there are still plenty of weapons that don't reduce stats. Wasn't aware of it being an enemy-phase game but ok. And I thought consumables might be more valuable in this game given that they've reduced the durability and healing power of staves.
  5. Interesting, from looking at the skill list, it would seem that Clear Mind, Swallow Strike and Household Cure would be staples or the closest thing to it.
  6. K thanks, that's good to hear. And I know this is probably dumb, but Renewal and Even Nap stack right? I don't know how good the 9-Tailed Fox is, but being able to recover 70% of HP every other turn seems like it would be extremely useful.
  7. Has it been discovered how much effective damage does in this game (i.e. x2 or x3 the weapon's might?) Also, is it too early to ask if myrmidons, archers or knights are not considered bad in this game like they are in many of the older FE games?
  8. 1) Huh, I had heard infinite leveling is gone but I guess not 2 and 3) hmm ok thanks.
  9. I'm sorry if any of these were answered, I haven't been here in a few weeks: 1) What is the max level a promoted unit can reach? I've heard the highest is 40, but I don't know if that includes an unpromoted unit reaching level 20. I also know there's a seal that raises your level 5 levels once you max out. 2) In Awakening I generally promoted unpromoted units as soon as they hit level 10. Since I hear Fates doesn't allow unlimited leveling like Awakening, this means it's better to wait till an unpromoted unit reaches level 20 before promoting them (like in the old games) right? 3) I've heard Master Seals are rare up until you upgrade your vendor shop to a certain level (I think Silver?). Is this true of the other seals in this game as well?
  10. Kind of glad he didn't, I've always preferred the original Paper Mario's graphics of all the games in the series.
  11. LOL probably is favoritism, but couldn't it also be that the EXP scaling system works differently for weapons and dancing? I don't know how it worked in past games FE games.
  12. Uhm, exactly what are these numbers? Is this saying you only get 80% and 60% of the normal EXP on Hard and Lunatic respectively? That reminds me, it bothers me that under each offensive weapon minus hidden weapons and spells are enemy-only weapons that are the same as your iron, steel and silver except with a 1-2 range.
  13. EDIT: If they're glass cannons, than what about Tsukuyomi and Orochi? Traditionally dark mages/shamans have higher defense than mages? Also, how is are Pieri, Hinata, Charlotte, Setsuna Camilla, Belka, Crimson and the 3 ninjas? 2 more questions: 1) What is the max level a promoted unit can reach? 2) In Awakening I generally promoted unpromoted units as soon as they hit level 10. Since I hear Fates doesn't allow unlimited leveling like Awakening, this means it's better to wait till an unpromoted unit reaches level 20 before promoting them (like in the old games) right? 3) I've heard Master Seals are rare up until you upgrade your vendor shop to a certain level (I think Silver?). Is this true of the other seals in this game as well? Hmmm ok. But doesn't downgrading the usage so much make it harder to level up classes like Rod Knight and Priest that are stave only? Also, follow-up question: it might be too early for this, but once your Rod Knight/Priest(ess) reaches level 10, is it best to use a master seal on them right away? That's interesting. I don't recall (at least from FE 6-8) drops from enemies to be a reliable way to get any kind of weapon so that's kind of neat.
  14. I was looking at the Weapons page and noticed the traditional healing staves (Heal, Mend, Physics) or their baton equivalents all have very, very nerfed usage compared to past games. Does that impact gameplay as much as I'm imagining?
  15. So if someone buys an item with limited inventory from your shop, does it actually detract from your inventory? It would suck if you let someone visit your castle before you got that high level Magic Shop and they took the only available Magic Seal.
