When I said "need to be protected" I meant in a sisterly way (from my perspective) since I don't see them in a "romantic" light so to speak. I'll never be making a male file since I have no desire to marry girls, therefore I treat Elise and Sakura as if they were my own little sisters. I'm aware that Leon and Takumi are pretty young themselves, but being attracted to those characters it's not like I would care anyways since they're obviously ok with your character marrying them. And as I sated as well, it's the same way if you're a guy and planning to marry Sakura or Elise, there is nothing wrong with that at all and people screaming about it being so wrong are just ridiculous tbh.

From a female perspective, I do think Sakura and Elise are adorable and need to be protected, while simultaneously wanting to marry the little bros. However, if any guy wants to marry Sakura/Elise then go right ahead, there is literally nothing wrong with that. I don't get why so many people shame others about wanting to marry the little sisters when there isn't anything forceful about marrying them.

I never even got the whole adopted incest thing after it was revealed that they weren't blood related to you anyways. I'm completely against blood incest, but the case with the Nohr/Hoshido siblings is just pretty weird to be complaining about incest. Now Leon's another case and I don't see anyone complaining about him, even though his situation is 10x worse than marrying your adopted siblings, gross. Although what you said might just have to do with people being more vocal about wanting to marry Camilla/Elise than girls with wanting to marry the brothers.

Yeah, that's what I feared. Although it's nice that this feature wasn't cut and a nice little surprise from everything that was announced so far, it still doesn't make up for the cut feature. I'm still hoping for DLC to put it back in, where it'll be even more optional than it already was.

Yeah, it was in the original version too but it's just a quick little thing that doesn't even last 3 seconds. I mean, if they left that in it makes sense to be able to pet your spouse and your spouse only, but knowing them they probably didn't even care about allowing you to do that. Maybe I'm being too negative and I hope I'm proven wrong.

Where exactly is it confirmed that petting is still in again? The video just made it seem like it was only the waking up minigame, not the entire feature. Boy, I'd love to be wrong but the chances that it's still in, even if only for your spouse are extremely low.

Wait, why does everyone seem to think that the full petting feature is still in even after the Gamespot girl said it was just the waking up event, which is different from the petting? Don't get me wrong, I'd be overjoyed to be wrong, but as of now it seems like it's only that little minigame.

As someone who canceled their SE pre-order, I don't regret it at all. I'm really not going to dish out $80 for a game that has cut/censored/modified content. Especially one I was looking forward to. I will however buy a single version of the game since they at least gave us the Live 2D models and the dialogue, now to wait if they do have most of the lines. Hopefully it isn't just 2-3 repeated lines like some wind up doll.

Not really, since we are still getting less of a game. It's a feature that was still removed, even if the dialogue was kept.

Wait, was that one of Sakura's married Skinship lines they used? I really hope they don't just give you one line and that's it.

Well, guess I'm buying Birthright then! Not happy about not being able to pet them, but I'll live with it if I still get all of the extra dialogue.

I'm sure the ability to touch is confirmed out, but I'm just holding on to the hope that we still get the extra dialogue. I can live without the petting if that's the case.

I am. For me that's the sole deciding factor on whether I actually buy the game or not.
