  1. Speaking of Pavise and Aegis, do those and Miracle still never activate when hit by the supporting unit of an Attack Stance?
  2. On the bright side though, it seems like you no longer have to worry about bitch Warriors (I guess Shuras, in this game) with Counter getting in your face and blowing you up on EP
  3. Best to use it on a unit that has good defensive growths but terrible HP, though I don't recall any particular units off the top of my head who fit this category. Someone like Azura would not use it very well because even with a boost to her terrible HP, her defense is so bad that she will be getting one shot regardless. Unfortunately Hana also seems to suffer the same problem
  4. Nostanking probably won't be too effective if most physical attackers will do a lot more damage to her than she can heal :/
  5. Sakura could maybe pass for a very young-looking 18 year old. Elise and Midoriko.......lol no
  6. If Kamui has the Copycat Puppet skill, can Kamui rub Kamui's face?
  7. Free in terms of real money, but maybe she'll cost ingame gold to recruit like Farina :P
  8. Chrom and Lucina were also Master Lords in the Japanese version, but were localized to Great Lord.
  9. So just to be clear, all the skills that do something to some percent of enemies' HP are out of the enemies' max HP and not remaining HP, correct? And just have a built-in check for never taking the enemy lower than 1 HP?
  10. It's odd how they made Great Lord a female-exclusive class just because they felt they had to make it a female counterpart to Marth's Lodestar. Looks like Spotpass Chrom won't get his chance another day
  11. About proc stacking, it's certainly a viable tactic to stack up to two proc skills as long as the one with higher priority will generally give a better result, which is often the case. Ignoring proc rates and looking only at the effect, Luna's damage output is still more reliable than that of Breaking Sky, because even the squishiest of mages can be expected to have Def in the 20s whereas they could easily have close to 0 Str. Luna will most likely take priority over Breaking Sky because of its lower activation rate, so this particular combination is pretty solid imo. Say you have 30 Skill. Chance of getting Luna = 30%. If Luna takes priority over Breaking Sky, Breaking Sky can only activate if Luna fails. Chance of getting Breaking Sky = 70% * 45% = 31%. Total chance of getting some proc to activate = 30 + 31 = 61%. This will only actively work against you if you fight a bunch of glass cannons that hit like a truck, but generally it should increase the overall average damage output.
  12. If you only look at it from an offensive perspective then yeah. But it's still useful defensively, since it discourages the opponent from using any of his melee options. Most of the non-magic ranged swords/lances/axes are not good for killing, so they're either forced to target you with tomes/kunais/bows, or spend an extra action weakening you from range before finishing you off. Far from useless. Yes, this is probably true for in-game, but I was specifically referring to PvP. Since we can expect everyone to be at caps in their important stats, every point matters. And I don't really understand what you're trying to say, I don't have to "optimize around" her personal skill when she's always going to have it. She doesn't absolutely have to go Berserker, but it's a good postgame choice for her is all I'm saying.
  13. Alright, I might do that. But I'd at least like for someone who actually has her to confirm it first. Surely someone must have noticed... Anyway since I don't have the game either these are some skills that I feel will be good from a PvP theorycrafting standpoint: Effie's Super Strength: if you can get Effie access to Berserker (and why wouldn't you, it's like the perfect class for her), then at capped Strength she will have at least 5 higher strength than basically everyone else that isn't a Berserker. Free +3 damage. Midoriko's Lucky Charm: the best way to take advantage of this in PvP is Miracle abuse. Matoi's Prodigy: Like astrophys mentioned, it shouldn't be hard to have the +4 damage active against super offensive enemies, and basically all magic users. Arthur's Unlucky Soul: imo the usefulness of this depends on if it is also active while he is supporting someone in Guard Stance where he can't be hit Odin/Ophelia's free Crit+10 skills: self explanatory, but Ophelia is the better unit Charlotte's Woman's Nature: depending on how popular female units become in pvp, Charlotte can get insane critical rates extremely easily as a Berserker. Guaranteed +40 crit on female enemies before even considering class skills or weapons. Flora's Ice Blood: even if it works the way I described it is still clearly a good skill. Get Counter on her (only possible by marrying her to Oni Kamui though I think) and she will be almost impossible to hit without taking severe damage. Left out skills that involve Attack/Guard stance or having units within a certain range for now because I can't really tell how important unit positioning will be in PvP yet. Edit: Does using HP tonics in the middle of a map still increase your maximum HP while leaving your current HP unchanged? If so, then Turn 1 HP tonics can be an easy way to activate skills that only work when the user is not at full HP, like Ice Blood or Rinka's Flame Blood.
  14. So this might get ignored again like the last three or so times I posted it, but... Flora's skill description on the site is wrong. It only activates against ranged attacks and deals back half the damage, not all of it. The part about it only working when she's not at full HP and reducing the enemy's Skill/Speed by 3 is still correct. Proof: [spoiler=in Japanese, also minor spoilers maybe]
  15. Yeah the stat boosting items all have the same icon so it can be hard to tell which is which. Try comparing their names to the ones on the item list on the first page of this thread.
  16. It's a pretty good skill if he wants go to the dodgetanking route, since +4 Speed and +8 Luck translates to +10 Avoid as well as making it harder for him to be doubled/critted. All Trueblades already have that inherent +10 Avoid and have access to weapons that grant an additional +20 Avoid, so if he can get some breakers he'd be pretty hard to hit. But it's true that if people don't go for him he'll just be kinda there doing nothing. I guess...to be honest I've been ignoring that skill because if it becomes widely available there'll be almost no reason to use any class other than bow users...
  17. You see the huge problem behind the bolded part though right? Holy Bowmen (aka Snipers) have to have a devastating Player Phase to make up for the fact that they will most likely be locked to 2 range and therefore have no Enemy Phase. Waiting gives him literally no Player Phase, and can't be used synergistically with any of the initiate battle skills like the various Strikes.
  18. Kamui can't A+ with any unit; instead, he can use Buddy Seals to get classes from anyone (of the same gender) he has an A support with. The A+ rules still apply to everyone else, so nobody can get skills from Kamui through Buddy Seals. Kamui's spouse can still get access to Kamui's secondary class through a Marriage Seal. Which is why I feel that the most important consideration when choosing Kamui's secondary class at the beginning is what will benefit Kamui's spouse the most, as well as Kanna, since Kamui himself can get almost any class anyway and nobody else can take advantage of it.
  19. Lol yeah that didn't really come out the way I intended. Whatever, no regrets. Besides, this is Fire Emblem Fates we're talking about, when has such a trivial thing like "being related" ever stopped anyone
  20. Yeah that too, but in case the non-inherited class doesn't provide anything useful, buddy seals can really expand their options
  21. So Matoi can get that Chrom color hair Cordelia wishes she could have
  22. Yeah parents should be able to pass down any skills that they have, regardless of the means by which they got them. Naturally that means you'd want to take advantage of this by passing down A+'d skills from the parents whenever possible, letting you get up to two skills on any given child that he/she can't normally get. Edit: With the exception of DLC skills, like ^ Azz01 mentioned, but that's probably a given.
  23. The way I interpreted it is, you can only ever buy one Brave Sword per file, so even if you come across other players who have a Brave Sword up for sale in their own castle, you won't be able to see it if you already bought the one from your own castle (I guess also if you bought one from someone else's castle before getting one from your own). There are probably other ways to obtain Brave Swords within the game though? Or am I completely wrong?
  24. In keeping with the pattern where the mysterious third class seems to arise from the opposite country, it would be cool if Belka passed down Ninja in this case. It definitely fits her image.
  25. There doesn't appear to be any others, if I'm not mistaken. There are no compatible couples other than Zero x Nyx who share the same primary + secondary. The only way to get a Belka x Arthur situation is if the child starts as a class that the fixed parent doesn't have; the only children this applies to are Lutz, Shinonome, and Midoriko. No parent has the class combination of Lance Fighter+Samurai or Herb Merchant+Ninja. It may be that in Aqua's case, Rod Knight is just the replacement of Singer for secondary inheritance purposes. Kinda like Troubadour was often a replacement for Barbarian in Awakening when male parents passed down classes to female children. But only for child inheritance and not for marriage/buddy sealing, where she would give Peg instead.
