  1. Just crossed my mind, but The World Ends With You's Neku with the massive range of pin powers would be a fucking riot in Smash.
  2. The reveal trailer was released during the Video Game Awards. The best kart-racing game OF ALL TIME is being remade for modern consoles (PS4, XB1, Switch) and will be released on 21st June 2019. About fuckin' time, I say.
  3. Turns out, we actually can activate lift protection even with a defense victory. I'd previously assumed only losses would activate the protection.

  5. You don't lose Lift until you reach 4,000 Lift. From there, you can lose up to 80 Lift per loss (less if the attacker loses units to your defense) with 20 hours of Lift protection once any Lift is lost.
  6. I reckon this is the order of importance of things to upgrade: 1. Offensive unit slots (no. 5) 2. Defensive unit slots (no. 5 + 6) 3. Offensive buildings 4. Defensive buildings I've already unlocked the 5th offensive slot, and am currently saving for defense slot 5. Defensive matches are totally out of our control and there's only so much we can do, anyway. Points earned through strong offense will offset any points lost through lost defenses. I honestly wouldn't even bother upgrading any of my defense buildings past their initial creation until I've upgraded my offensive buildings to a satisfactory level.
  7. I'm in the same boat. I'll probably stick to cancer strats and throw a Surtr in the corner behind a ton of structures.
  8. Cav team + dancer cancer is ridiculous so I decided to do the same thing and make my own defense team run the ~same strat, and have started work on my own Cecilia to specifically counter the cancer. Maybe if literally everyone is doing the same shit, IS will take a second look and maybe add some restrictions to defense teams (e.g. no more than two units of each movement type per team, only one dancer or healer per team (cannot have both), etc.). I have 5 units in my offensive team and I'm still struggling to come out unscathed in most cases precisely because of this, even when fighting against just 4 defenders. When more people unlock 5 and 6 defense slots, it's going to become a royal shitshow.

I'm not a follower of the pro scene by any means, but I don't think it's too farfetched of an idea that many people who are desperate enough to get the game by any means possible (e.g. paying a ton of money for a leaked copy) or find some way to play it (e.g. sharing copies amongst each-other) will certainly do so if it means they gain something from it. Maybe not all the pros, but a significant number of them, considering how tight the Smash pro scene is in general.
  10. I don't know for sure if I'll be bothering with a Nintendo Online subscription for a while. I'd like to give the single player modes their fair share of usage before diving into online, unless of course online play also offers rewards/content. However, remembering back to when SSB4 was fresh, the SF tournaments and general online play was pretty fun and a good time, so that's a plus towards paying for the online subscription for me.
  11. The newest version of MEmu is giving me hell. The emulator menu takes a long time to load, maybe a minute or longer, and it's basically a coin flip as to whether or not it successfully runs FEH once I've opened it. It may take a few restarts of the emulator before it works. Then there's the slighter issue of having huge hang (10 seconds+ where I can do absolutely nothing) when I click on the notifications from the castle, and when I want to turn the volume up/down through the emulator itself. Same with taking a screenshot. I think I'll be going back to the older version of MEmu, since that was at least working for me without any issues.

  14. I read you can lose Lift once you're above 4,000 lift, once every 20 hours. It will suck if your first defense in a day is a complete failure, but the rest within the next 20 hours are successful. Or maybe you are simply protected from losing any more Lift for 20 hours once you do lose some Lift, while successful defenses won't start the 20 hour protection. I think this is the most likely scenario.
  15. Finished up with 3,540 Lift, with 35 Aether still in the tank. 60 Lift away from the max Lift reward possible for this season. That was simply down to my own incompetence and having 3 deaths through the whole run. I probably could've gotten in one more run if I was able to get a few more reserves destroyed throughout the whole season, but I'll take a seat in the top 1,000, for what it's worth.

  17. I've got the Aether Amphorae, Def fort and Off fort at level 2. I have exactly 0 Heavenly Dew and only 80 Aether Stones at the moment.
  18. Oh, maybe it's worth it to upgrade the aether containers? Sitting at a max of 150 right now. I used my aether dew to upgrade my defense fortress.
  19. Right now, I'm at: AR Tier 8 3,040 Lift 30 Aether in the bank Next battle = 40 Aether 2 days remaining Not sure exactly how Aether needed for battles is calculated. Neither am I sure how much Aether is earned from destroying Aether stores, since it seems to be rising over time. If anyone knows how it's calculated and can show me how many Aether supplies I am allowed to miss without it affecting my final scoring, care to educate me? Is it even safe to miss Aether? What if our stored Aether carries on into the next season?
  20. Is it just me, or is MEmu crashing very frequently as of late?
  21. I have a feeling they will eventually let us upgrade the Aether regen thing. Right now it sits at level 1 un-upgradeable and states it generates 50 a day. It would be so worth if we could upgrade it, even if it's just +10 Aether a day per level.
  22. That makes sense, then. I figured everything was bundled into the one update. Looks like the update will land in 7 hours from now.
