  1. Huh. So Garon used to be a Paladin, and used Siegfried. Good to know. He looks pretty old in that card though; is this supposed to be young Garon, or an AU Garon who never got replaced with the slime monster? Because either way, this implies certain things about his axe.
  2. Leo made his Iceblade with the assistance of Flora. After defeating Ananakos, Xander and Ryoma had to first go through their coronations before officially ending the war between Hoshido and Nohr, even though hostilities ceased as son as the army left Valla. When she gets older, Elise will be as tall and as buxom as Camilla. Following the end of the war, refugees from Old Valla immigrate to new Valla, bringing with them Vallite lore and culture, so that Valla can truly live again as more than just a name.
  3. So, we have a character named Lando, who is a gambler... the jokes just write themselves don't they?
  4. While he was still alive, Garon had a good relationship with Azura, treating her like all of his other children. For Azura, Garon wasn't perfect, but he was the only father she'd ever known, and as such, she had a hard time reconciling the father she knew with the tyrant he'd become, eventually deciding that any warmth he'd shown her and her mother, Arete, was merely an act. However, when learning that Garon had been replaced by a slime monster, she was secretly pleased, because this meant that 'Garon' wasn't the father she knew, and all the horrible things that had tainted her memories of him were washed away. Corrin's default alt class is Cavalier because of Xander and Gunter's influence. Deeprealms exist, but no one left their kids in them. After Revelations, COrrin had to deal with a rebellion or two. New Valla is made up of both Nohrian and Hoshidan peoples, and neither like each other all tat much, and they don't like him either; he's too Nohrian for the Hoshidans, and too Hoshidan for the Nohrians. Haitaka is the Hoshidan responsible for sending assassins to kill Azura in the Birthright and Revelations route. Since she wasn't traveling with Corrin right away in Conquest, he instead abducted her, but for whatever reason, did not kill her right away. Corrin and Azura got married by the lake they met. Izana faked his death in Revelations in order to convince Takumi to join Corrin. Nestra is a Nohrian vassal state, hence why Nohr has a strong presense there, and how Garon can get away with a massacre of all the dancers and performers in the city of Cyrkensia. The Ice, Wind, and Flame Tribes once had royals capable of using the Dragon Vein, but they all died out, either during the War of the First Dragons, or afterwards over the course of history. Peoples that were once backed by a First Dragon were Hoshido, Nohr, Valla, Izumo, Notre Sagesse, Flame Tribe, Wind Tribe, Ice Tribe. After the fight against Anankos was done, Lilith told Corrin the truth of their blood, and how Ananakos is their father. Likewise, the Awakening Trio leave behind messages to their lieges, telling the truths about their real names, why they came there, and their origins. In order to better unite New Valla, Corrin and Azura encouraged intermarrying between the Hoshidan and Nohrian parts of the kingdom, focusing on the younger generations. Upon their return to Ylisse, the Trio will introduce their new spouses to their friends and families. Odin will regale Ophelia with tales of the Hero-King Marth, the First Exalt, Chrom, and his cousin Lucina.
  5. [spoiler=The hypothetical lifespans of several characters] So, we know that Corrin's father is the dragon Ananakos, and that Azura's father is an as yet unnamed dark dragon. Would it be reasonable to assume that both these characters being half dragons, that they could live far longer than normal humans, barring of course, death in battle or Azura dissolving into water? Perhaps not as long as the Manaketes of Akaneia millennia long lifespans, but surely a few centuries wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. Would these long lifespans also be passed down to their children, Kanna/Shigure/etc, as well?
  6. So, any word on whether or not Hoshido characters can use Nohr weapons and vice-versa? Also, what's the deal with dual wielding? I saw a trueblade unit (Hisame) in a class overview video dual wielding katanas. Is it his personal skill, a class skill limited to trueblades, or is it a special weapon?
  7. So now that the game's out, is there any new information on the Tribes? General stuff, like how many are there, are they subordinate to Hoshido and Nohr or just allies, why are they tribes and not Principalities/Duchies like Izumo, Fuumo, and Chevalier?
  8. Anyone got links for the revealed skinship lines?
  9. Too early to make a decision. We've seen how the Nohr siblings act around the Avatar, but we haven't seen the Hoshido siblings yet. I'd wait until passing judgment.
  10. I have a feeling that the Clans are part of Hoshido's hierarchy, serving as the feudal lords who rule parts of Hoshido in the name of the royal family. The western equivalent would be dukes who rule fiefdoms and swear fealty to the king.
  11. Kamui obviously knows that s/he was born in Hoshido, says as much in the April 1st Trailer. If I were to hazard a guess, they would be around five or so when they were taken to Nohr (most likely against their will).
  12. Kamui is Hoshidan royalty, s/he just won the genetic lottery by being born with a lot of dragon blood compared to his/her siblings, allowing him/her to transform, and which is why s/he looks so different than his/her siblings.
  13. The game will probably give us the usual assortment of mercenaries (profession, not the class) wanderers, foreigners, and the one or two defectors that will be used to fill up the ranks of the army, in addition to the faction specific characters. As for the maids, well, I'm thinking that both of them go with the player no matter which side is chosen, and that the reason Felicia is depicted on the Hoshido cover and the other maid is on the Nohr cover is for the sake of artistic diversity.
