This is a very wacky banner. And a very misused banner. The only character that actually make sense is Tharja and she is ALREADY a plegian. Raphael, Dorothea and Lene are out of place. And Katarina and Kris aren't exactly out of place, but I hope they mention the evolution of their homeland over the years. Or what they could have done is use other characters from Awakening who aren't Plegian. Basically they would dive into a different culture. Like Chrom, who would probably rip his own outfit by accident because it's too fragile for him. And he would be uncomfortable using magic since he can't never use it in Awakening. Or Dark mage Robin, who can actually reclass into one. Maybe even Khan Basilio, who would be just here for ale and doesn't care being dress as a Plegian. Or maybe have Kellam here comment that he hopes he gets finally notice by dressing up as a Plegian. The possibility are there.

I wouldn't call them 'surprisingly good' at that. More 'ok' I would say because there's good units there and there, but sometimes they gave us units with nothing new in terms of skills or unique flavor. Take Eremiya for example or Travent. At least Gale has Guard Lance. Naesala is unique and very appreciated. Also, those daggers you mentioned are seasonal units. We already starting to see that seasonal grail units are going to be inferior to those that can get refine (Arden went from zero to hero). The only exception I can think is dancer Eldigan because he counters Mila. Although I agree it's a slow process.

IS has a really hard time introducing units with more type of weapons in the Grail category. Hell we had armor mages and cav daggers for a long time, yet we still don't have a single one in the Grail pool. Considering they just started to give a non-5 star cav dagger in the regular pool, I wouldn't expect a free colorless tome for quite some time. And I am 99% sure it's going to be a seasonal unit when that happens, which would be detrimental for said unit in the long run.

I don't imagine her outfit has the magical ability to make someone look like a child wearing it. Jokes aside, I also wonder why Oboro isn't here. Maybe she's working on the seasonal outfits?

If Rescue+ is Drawback for healers and Return+ is Reposition for healers, we can assume Warp+ will be Smite for healers.

Oh my, Plumeria in this outfit is beautiful. So they decided to put them as a duo special banner, that will piss of some people. Also going forward, are all New years seasonals going to be OC? Can't wait for New Year Reginn next year.

I'm really happy with this change, this prove that IS actually DOES listen to feedback (just when they feel like listening that is...). And it will my experience to reach tier 27 or 28 every week less painful.

Depends on what type of team comp you are using. Although the first round bonus really sucks since you get less score for using sword, lance and axe.
