I see that Effie actually gives Mitama a better speed modifier than Kagero does, which surprises me a lot considering their classes (or perhaps it shouldn't, since I already know Azama and Mitama are better off in physical classes). But can Azama and Mitama really use the Knight tree that Effie passes? I was leaning toward Lancer for Corrin's talent, but maybe Fighter could work better? I've pretty much decided on Speed boon and Defense bane. I'm still working on children pairings, though.So many choices!

I guess I'll find out once Takumi and Mozu get an S support. I don't imagine he would really use the Herb Merchant skills, but it's nice to have options rather than simply nothing. I can have him get an A+ support with Ryoma for Astra, like Eclipse suggested. So I've changed my mind and decided to go with a male Corrin, since female Corrin has slim pickings once you take away all the nephews/relatives. I was thinking of having him marry Kagero!Mitama, with either a Lancer or Fighter talent. Would Speed or Strength be a better boon for this scenario? What about a Luck bane?

Sorry, I worded the Kagero/Azama thing wrong. I meant that I didn't need any convincing to marry them, since I almost chose it initially. Anyway, these new pairings look good. Thanks!

Hmm... I like these. I almost went with Kagero/Azama originally, so I need little convincing to do that pairing. I have a couple of questions, though: 1. If I am remembering correctly, Mozu doesn't give Takumi any new classes from a Partner Seal. Is that still okay for Takumi? Does he need anything other than the speed boost? 2. How many Flame Shurikens are there in Revelation? Asugi and Midori will both need one, and I'll probably stick one on Felicia as long as she's a maid. It's been a while since I played Birthright, but in Conquest I only received one Flame Shuriken. Can you buy them at the weapon shop? I'm glad Rinkah can go with Ryoma, because I wasn't sure where else to put her. But now that Percy is Corrin's nephew (not by blood I know, but still), I need someone else to go with her. Preferably someone physical. If I leave out all the nephews/relatives, that just leaves Hisame, Ignatius, and Asugi. Will any of them make a good Kana? What do they want in a partner? Maybe I'll just say "screw it" and go for Shigure. Yeah, I know about the spoiler regarding Corrin and Azura, which is what is stopping me from choosing him now.

Hey everyone, So I'm willing to bet there's a million topics for this, but I need some advice. I have played both Birthright and Conquest, and now I'm about to start Revelation. I have already figured out the pairings for the first generation. Since there is no Apotheosis-like map to prepare for, I'm going for pairings that benefit both spouses as well as the child(ren) (with a few exceptions, noted below). I'm looking for where to put Corrin, as well as advice on how to pair up the children. Oh, and if there is a glaring error in the pairings listed, I would appreciate that being pointed out, too. Pairings so far are as follows: Leo x Sakura Odin x Elise: This is about the only place Elise can go. Hinata x Peri Xander x Hinoka Hayato x Nyx Jakob x Azura: I was more concerned with Shigure than anyone else. I like the fact that he gets the wyvern line. Benny x Beruka: since Ignatius seems to be one of the few who don't mind Beruka's horrid speed Arthur x Effie: I wanted Setsuna here since I've already done this pairing, but I had no idea where else to put Effie Kaden x Charlotte: for the Strength and Speed Subaki x Oboro: Nearly everyone seems to want Oboro, but I decided I wanted a blue-haired not!Cordelia. Saizo x Orochi: Since Orochi has to go somewhere. At least Asugi can use a Flame Shuriken. Takumi x Kagero: Pretty much everyone wants Kagero, too. I think she ended up here due to process of elimination. Ryoma x Rinkah: I guess? I wasn't sure where to put Rinkah at all. Keaton x Camilla Laslow x Felicia: Not exactly great, but I read on Reddit that Laslow and Soleil are one of the few physical father/child combos that can handle Felicia. Hayato, Odin, and Leo were already taken. Kaze x Mozu Silas x Selena Niles x Setsuna Azama x Hana: I'm unsure about this one, too. I know Azama and Mitama actually want a physical partner/mother, but does Hana get anything out of it? I want to do a female Corrin, and I'm thinking about marrying her to one of the children (none of her nephews though). I can also have her replace one of the 1st generation women if they're absolutely terrible. Right now I'm leaning towards Effie!Percy. In that case, what are good Boons and Banes? Is there a class that Percy particularly wants that Kana could use as well? With these pairings, what do the other children want? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the detailed breakdown Czar_Yoshi. I've been running Ignis/Luna on Morgan and Severa, and I noticed Ignis rarely activates. It's usually Luna or nothing, I think because the activation chance for both procs are the same, and Luna takes priority. It seems to be a waste of Ignis, which I do happen to like better than Luna when the former is available. I'll try Ignis/Astra for both of them, and see how that goes.

Has anyone ever tried an Ignis+Astra procstack on Morgan or another child of Robin's? How does it compare to Luna+Ignis and Luna+Astra?

I usually make Sumia!Lucina a Sniper and I might end up with several Bow Knights, so I think I'll go ahead and make Olivia!Lucina a Paladin. May as well try some different classes on characters while I've got the chance. I'll make Morgan a Wyvern Lord, but I'll have to think on which class for Inigo. Though that would be some insane move on Morgan if he went Bow Knight, and his own move wouldn't be so bad on his turn either. I was planning on running Severa as a Valkyrie with Sage Lon'qu!Laurent, so no worries there. I won't deny that Armsthrift is useful- I put it on everyone that has it to cut down on weapon costs during grinding. I wasn't sure if there was anything better to give to Cordelia or Avatar, but if there isn't I may as well put it on both (and your assumption about Cordelia's class and other skills was correct). I'm a bit iffy on throwing Cordelia into Apotheosis, but last time Sumia performed way better than I expected, so I'll give Cordelia a shot. Two more questions: one, if a maleforce unit has the option of using Swordfaire or Bowfaire as a Bow Knight or Assassin, which do you prefer? I'm asking not only for Inigo (if he goes Bow Knight), but also for Stahl!Owain, who needs to be one or the other to get his partner to 75 speed (Vaike!Noire as a Sniper with All Stats +2). Secondly, does a Dark Flier Gaius!Cynthia even need a speed pair up partner to hit 75 speed? At first I thought she did and I planned accordingly, but I just did the calculations again and came to 75 with just LB, rallies, tonic, and the regular pair up bonuses. Now I think I might be doing the math wrong. Which one is correct?

In my current playthrough I am trying to go with pairings that I have not used in my previous runs. I have the pairings themselves figured out, but I'm stuck on a few of the classes/skills. First, what is a good class for Olivia!Lucina? I don't want to switch out one of her skills for All Stats+2, so she likely won't hit the 75 speed threshold. I'm not too bothered by this, since I have several speedy pair ups as it is. Her husband will be Virion!Yarne, who has several different support options depending on what Lucina ultimately becomes. Second, what can I do with a Cordelia!Morgan x Chrom!Inigo pairing? Their skillsets are pretty standard, but I'm not sure about appropriate classes. Avatar is +Speed -Defense by the way. Lastly, what's a good skillset for a support Avatar as a Grandmaster? So far I have Limit Breaker/Tomefaire/Aggressor. I thought about something like Anathema, but I think his wife Cordelia has an open slot to run that herself (unless I want to put Armsthrift on her, but I don't see much point in preserving a Brave Lance).

Oh, Frederick and Stahl are absolutely better for a physical Inigo, but I thought it should be mentioned that Libra!Inigo could technically go physical as well. Just in case Stahl is being used elsewhere and Frederick is somehow dead (or does he just retreat?) And if it's mentioned for Henry I think it should be brought up for Libra as well.As for Olivia and Ricken...yeah, okay, that support squicks me out.

I think it's worth mentioning that Libra!Inigo can actually work as a physical fighter. His strength mod is only one less than the magic mod and he has inherent Axefaire and Swordfaire. If his wife runs Anathema for him, he can make a decent Berserker. With Vengeance as his proc, the crappy skill doesn't matter as much. I wouldn't say he's better at it than Yarne or Henry!Gerome, but it's something. I ran Libra!Inigo @ Berseker with Gregor!Noire @ Sniper my last run, and they were surprisingly effective. This Inigo would also make a great Dread Fighter. Just curious, though- why don't you like Ricken!Inigo?

Alastor, can you explain again why taguels are the worst class? I don't think you slammed it quite enough :D Did you explain somewhere why you thought 75 speed on any physical class (excepting Sniper) was pointless? I just read a lot of info so I may have missed it, but if not I think it would be a good idea to explain. This is a guide for a no braves run of Apotheosis, correct? I particularly liked Inigo's segment, it made me laugh. Are you going to go into pairing off the children as well? It might be tricky since everyone has different roles depending on who their fathers are, but I have a feeling that's what people reading the guide would be asking for next.

Oh yeah, Morgan is usually male in my playthroughs, so I forgot about the Morgan/Inigo support. I like that one a lot, too. So that's three good S supports for Inigo, then. I didn't mention Female Avatar for the event conversation you mentioned. As far as Inigo and Cynthia, I originally thought that when she said "talk" what she meant was "flirt with/come on to." Then again, it is the same girl who was tricked into thinking that some random bandit was her father (they could've at least made the guy look like Chrom!), so maybe she did mean it literally. But the ending of that conversation is what bothered me the most. "Sorry, my love! You'll always be my number one! But there are so many other lovely numbers out there!" That doesn't really sound like he just meant talking. I have a hard time liking Severa, since it seems like a lot of people bend over backwards to placate her in their supports. They've all had a hard life, why does she deserve such special treatment? If I recall correctly, I think Laurent calls her out on some of it? Go Laurent. I do like her with Gerome and Inigo, too. The Gerome supports made me laugh- one sourpuss deserves another. I like that Inigo tries so hard to get Lucina to smile, but then he flubs up the S support (as per usual) by talking about other girls. At least their ending seems to be happy, though. Nah's good supports are also few and far between. I like her with male Morgan and Yarne, and her support with Owain is all right. Too bad there is no support that calls her out on her behavior. As it is, we all have to either make do with what we have or leave her forever alone.

I'm not as bothered by this (Noire and Inigo are married in my current file actually), simply because almost all of Inigo's supports with the ladies are terrible in one way or another. I got really tired of seeing perfectly nice S supports that are ruined by Inigo making some comment about other women. Especially Cynthia's, I think that was the worst of them. Since I'm not going to marry him to Severa or Kjelle every time, sometimes he'll have to suck it up and deal with it. That's not to say the Nah support isn't terrible (because it is) but I'd feel worse about marrying Inigo to her if he had lots of better options aesthetically. Unfortunately, IMO he doesn't.

Okay, now I'm curious...how is Gaius!Noire only B tier? I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the current meta, but last I heard Gaius!Noire was the best non Avatar!Noire. I can see an argument for Vaike or Lon'qu, but how does Frederick make for a better Noire than Gaius?
