  1. "Separate cards, that works." He followed after her, "Though, I'm pretty confident too, I don't intend on losing all day." The blonde replied with a smirk. After she obtained her card, he got his own, and he started looking around at the various games. There was so little time, but so much to play. He did notice Miz looking at a game earlier. When she brought up her muscles, that led him to retort. "Then let's put that to the test, huh? You were looking at skee-ball earlier?" He took off his glasses, the dim lights of the arcade were making it difficult to see. "Let's put on a gun show." He nudged her as he started walking over to the machine. Markus gave the machine he stopped at a few knocks, and thought on it before, "So, genuine question. You ever actually play skee-ball? It'd be fucked up if I walked in and you didn't know how it worked."
  2. Finally, their back was clear. With that, the Tigers continued their push north. But, whatever was itching at Miria only... continued. And it felt like it was getting worse. "I... M-Miss Tasha, I gotta move back I-- I think something's coming." Why am I reacting like this? Is it the Shroud? Miria bared her wind sword. It was her trusty weapon. If anything was gonna get her out of a pinch, it was that blade. She started her way towards the entrance. Miria to 15,17, equips Wind Edge When Miria turned the corner, she noticed two people. One, she immediately realized where the feeling was coming from. A chill went down her spine, some sweat building in her face. She held a readied stance.
  3. A light had surrounded Miria, and she felt almost back to full strength. "Hahh... better." She switched blades, and maintained her defense. Of course, the group of enemies pressed their attack but she was ready this time, with Tasha backing her. "Got it. We're gonna make this push so we can be on our way." Something suddenly started tingling in Miria. It felt like... something from her armor. She didn't like that, but she couldn't focus on it. The wyvern's approached again, with Miria dodging a lance and swinging back, then being hit by the second. She could take it, and she swung back at that wyvern as well. When the pirates went for their round two, she was much more prepared, dodging two axe throws with finesse. Despite her wound, she readied her stance, with Cass falling in to engage one of the wyverns, and paving the way for Miria to attack. "Alright, now it's payback time!" And she ran in for the strike! Miria to 17,20! Engages Pirate 3 with the Iron Sword!
  4. Miria knew the lance would hit her, and took it as best she could. She struggled with those all too much. She struck back and the wyvern rider who attacked, but then pirates came and followed on the attack. She got her foot caught on the ground, at least she tried to reason, and she blocked the first axe with her arm. It hurt but, she could survive. She channeled with all her determination, and blew away the pirate with a flaming tornado. She was much better suited for the fire side of her armor's weird power. There wasn't enough time to think on it, when another pirate chucked an axe back at her. The corridor was too tight, so she huddled to a wall to move, only to be grazed across the face by the blade of the axe. The pain was immeasurable, but she had to persevere, not just for the Tigers, but for herself too. She struck back, and when a third took his fallen comrade's spot, in came a third axe. Miria did the only thing she could think of to keep it from hitting her in that tight spot. The cub swung her blade, and with almost precision timing, reflected the axe, and then following with another magic swipe from the wind sword. This was almost like her third element. She'd had laughed if not for the warm, painful feeling on her face. The girl wiped some of the blood from her face. Despite her body in pain and feeling the fatigue settle in, Miria stood her ground, ready to continue holding until a callout from Nyx to withdraw. "...G-Got it! Go-gotta pull back..." Miria held herself up, her flames still burning. Even in her condition, she wasn't going to just let people have a win over her. She'd fight for it. As she made her cautious, but quick retreat, she pulled out her vulnerary, dumping some of it over her head. There wasn't time for her to properly apply. She let out a light sigh from the relief. Miria moves to 16, 22, equips the Iron Sword and applies the ol' faithful (vulnerary)!
  5. The blue aura wore off from Miria's armor. She stopped feeling so cold. She was back to just her normal gold look. "Huh." She gave a metaphorical shrug about it, before making her way to her next target. One of the newer people who seemed to join the fight was fighting off some pirate. She focused, "Okay, uhh, do the blue stuff again!" When she attempted to activate the ice power again, suddenly she was back to glowing red, and her sword was on fire. "Huh? Well, okay. We'll deal with it later." Miria moved to cut off the rest of the pirates from making their advance. Miria to 16,17 and activates Afterburner! Wind Swords Pirate 4!
  6. "Alright, let's do it." Markus smiled and led the way for the two of them. It was weird being back in a mall again. He was basically locked to a base exchange for the start of his career, and it was more of a Walmart with a food court than a mall. There was a hobby shop, and some clothing stores, something that looked like one of those old tv product stores. He gave a soft chuckle thinking about the things Leili would grab for them. After a bit, they reached the the arcade, and he could already see the dim lights and strobe lights inside. "Mario? Well, yeah, Mario's like, super big, and easy to get into." He answered, "They may have like, the arcade kart game, but I don't know if they do arcade stuff too much anymore. For me though, hmm..." Markus did give it some thought, "I dabble a bit in things, but my favorites are probably adventure games. Zelda's a huge one for me. And in general like, games where I just run around and look for stuff. Though, an arcade won't exactly have something like that, either, haha." He scratched his head, then taking her by the hand and leading her into the arcade. As they walked in, it was clear from the outside, but once inside, the music was booming, it wasn't horribly busy, but there were plenty of people inside enjoying themselves. All sorts of games from fighters, to sports, to puzzles. "They have people in who get these little cards, and they hold all your tokens and tickets on it. If we play games that get tickets, they have a bunch of prizes you can get. Do you wanna share a card, or do you wanna get separate ones?"
  7. "Got it. I'll start to intercept." Miria nodded to the instruction to meet with the attackers from behind. Miria to 19,17
  8. Miria could hear approaching sounds from behind their group. She quickly hurried along, wanting to make as much distance inside as they could before the potential pincer. Miria to 22,15
  9. "I'm glad your so excited, haha." Miz had latched herself onto him again. He leaned into it a little as they made their way inside. "The first thing we find, yeaaah." Markus confidently spoke. There was a tinge of red in his face, but he wasn't gonna let his timidness get the better of him. Once inside, it was about the standard busy for mall. It wasn't packed, but you could see people in every direction. Of course, Markus watched the crowd like a hawk, despite him going to enjoy their day, he had to keep an eye out. Both for himself and for Miz. Markus led himself and his date to the directory, and he looked at the nearby map. "Let's see," he read around, then noticed something pretty. "Hey, the arcade's right down the right. How about we start there?" He looked to Miz for approval.
  10. Markus gave a small sigh as Miz made her way to the other side of the transport car. It felt... good. He was ready to have the most fun date he's ever had, even if it was his first one. He opened the door, and sat himself in the driver's seat. Closing the door, and igniting the vehicle, the blonde froze as he was about to put his hands on the wheel. He hadn't felt this way driving a car before. "I'll try fast, but, I wanna be careful just a bit." He was carrying precious cargo. Firmly grasping the wheel. He made his way out of the Dawn. "I thought I'd wing it, y'know? I didn't look too deeply into what they head. Adventure awaits the bold, I think." He said to Miz with a smile. In less than hour, almost a half an hour with the way the blonde German was driving, they finally made their way to the mall inside of Callisto. He was pretty quiet most of the drive, focused on the road. It'd be worth it, as the duo made it into the mall's parking lot. Finding a place, he parked their vehicle, and he gave a deep breath. "Finally. We made it." The blonde laughed, looking over to his passenger. "Hope the drive wasn't too bad. Come on, let's see what we've got in store." He gave Miz a little nudge before making his way out of the vehicle, hurrying over to help Miz out of her side.
  11. "Well, I still gotta do my best for you, y'know?" He smiled, giving her head a couple of pats. "Even if it's a movie, or something. We'll figure it out." It was intimidating despite her assurances that anything they'd do would be fun. It didn't change it was him alongside a famous idol. That wouldn't hold him back. He braced himself for a day he was going to enjoy with his date. Even if things didn't work. "I'm very creative." He said with a light laugh. "If it's alright, I think I should drive. Military vehicles and all, and, it is me taking you out." His next laugh was now more nervous. "I don't drive very often, I need the practice." I sure did get my license while I was in the academy. "I'll drive as nice and slow as possible. How's that sound?" He gave her a little nudge.
  12. Miria felt like she'd been slacking now. She had gotten hit by the enemy lance and only barely managed to connect back. I've gotta do better! I need to! Miria pent up her emotions and prepared to make her fire happen... but it hadn't. Suddenly the trimming of her armor became a... blue, instead of red. Her eyes as well, the gold shine becoming an aqueous color. She was suddenly... quite cold. "H-Huh?!" Food for thought later, gotta make it work. And she went in to strike at the soldier again. Miria activates Ice Cage! She also switches to her Steel Sword and attacks Soldier 4!
  13. "I was about to say, I think I already got you smiling now." He gave a light smirk, a tinge of red escaping into his cheeks. "But absolutely. I will do my best to make it the best first real date possible." Throwing up a pair of thumbs-ups, he slipped out of his door, and closed his room. "I'm uhh... Glad you don't mind that I'm dressing a little, casually, haha," He started to make his way toward the exit, hoping to lead Miz along. "I don't have anything really fancy except my service dress. And," He pointed to his glasses. "This is... my first date too." He nervously scratched his head. "I uh, I don't have a plan, honestly. I just thought, we'd go into town and, find something to do. I hope that's alright." He turned away for a moment to take a deep breath. God I have no idea what I'm doing, haha. Just gotta, keep being the good kid, Micky.
  14. Markus heard a knock at his door. Considering the recent text, it has to have been Miz. It was time. "Alright." Markus stood up, and took a deep breath. He pulled out his phone, and took a picture of him in his outfit, putting up the 'rock on' sign, before sending it off to Leili. [Going out for a bit. Stay out of trouble.] Setting his phone down, he readjusted his glasses, and approached the door. He hesitated for a moment before he opened the door. "Come on, Micky... It's alright. It'll be fine..." He quietly tried to reassure himself. It was time to have some fun out in town with a fun lady. Finally, Markus opened the door. "Hey M--" The blonde paused, immediately enamored by the woman standing in front of him. "I-I..." He took a deep breath. "Hey. You look great." He gave a warm smile. "Hmm," Rosa gave it a thought. "Well, I guess if you know everything already, then," She pointed down. "We have ten medical rooms. At the end of the hall is a room where all of our equipment is. We don't have anything going on at the moment, so, I could walk you through there once we need something or the other." She clapped her hands together, and gave a small, embarrassed laugh. "So I guess we're technically mostly on call. You're free to go for now, just as long as those CBTs are finished in a timely manner. Just e-mail the certificates of those to me so I can keep them filed. So, Miss Fumie, you are free to go. I'll page you in the case something happens." She gave a small thumbs-up. "I'm sure we'll have a fun trip."
  15. Rosa was typing away at her laptop. She was inputting a few leftover pieces of data, as well as making sure her new assistant was properly in the system. Fumie was having her own fun time introducing herself to one of their pilots. It gave Rosa time to make sure everything was straightened away. "One moment, Miss Fumie, I'm just checking a few things. Anything the military missed when transferring you that I need to have reported, or updated. Can you believe that there are people who aren't properly in the system, and they can't even visit the D-Fac or mess hall if they don't take cash? Embarrassing." Rosa chuckled at the absurdity of it, but it wouldn't have been the first time she heard about it. She exited from the page she was on, and spun her chair so she could step out of her desk. Reaching for her mug of coffee, she took a careful few sips, then set it back down. "Alrighty, so to start there will be a handful of CBTs that will need to be done within the next few days, just so that you're certifications are up to date. I'll e-mail them to you as well, and can help you find them if you've never had to do the computer-based trainings before. If you don't have an available computer to do your work on, you can use mine, and we'll see if I can get you one issued." Rosa thought, and brought a finger to her lips. "Are there any questions for the front of house side of things?" Markus waited till he was back in his room before he started using his phone again. Etiquette with walking and phones had changed some time ago, but he wasn't going to get called out by an officer higher than him at any point. Once he was in his room, he removed his service jacket and hung it up. Then, he got a big stretch in. "Never getting used to that." He groaned out with his stretch. "Alright," He pulled out his phone to see exactly a 'Yes!' from Miz. "Okay, time to stop slacking" [Cool, let me know when you're ready.] [I gotta spruce up my service dress, and then I'll start setting up.] The blonde set his phone down. Cracking his knuckles, he started his game plan. After about twenty minutes of digging through all of his clothes, Markus got as nice as he could. His favorite white-green jacket, his jeans and sneakers. I feel a little underdressed... He laughed to himself. He had one secret weapon. Either the coolest thing he owns, or way too tacky. In a drawer in his desk, he pulled out a glasses case. Opening it revealed a pair of aviator sunglasses. An antique in this age, but he loved how they looked. And was probably one of the most expensive things he owned. Markus put them on, and looked in the mirror, giving a few poses, trying to get a feel for them. "Alright. The most hype seven out of ten about to go out with a supermodel." He scoffed, a bit of lost faith in himself. "Well, that just means we've got to have fun to make me into a nine." I've never had to think this hard about how I dressed. Man... With a sigh, Markus went back to his bed, and sat with his phone, waiting.
  16. Once landing, Miria transformed into her armor. It was going to be a long fight from here, and she had to be prepared to put her all into it. She followed along after Üllr, who has already easily beaten down a soldier, prepared to cover his back. Miria to 24,3
  17. Miria leaned on the taffrail and watched as they made their approach. Boats were never an issue for the cub, she did her best to be used to them after leaving home, as she thought she'd have been back and forth a lot more often. Even with a battle on the horizon, it didn't stop the little hero from embracing the moonlight, and the feeling of the wind on her face. It was better to have calm nerves before the storm of blades that she'd soon be a part of. Her focus was interrupted when Jesse arrived and asked to return safe, both for their sake, and to gain information from Jeremiah. "Yeah. Of course, that's the plan." And she gave a thumbs-up. "Same for you too, be safe." As she was about to return to watching the ocean, Tanya hung by the other side of her. She also flashed a thumbs-up to her. "I gotta live up to your big expectations, I guess." Being called one of their best did feel like an overstatement, even with being proven and told multiple times she was capable. She was good, but she truly wasn't always sure. Miria swallowed that worry, if she felt poor, she'd perform poorly. There was no time for that. "I'll be careful, though. Promise. To both of you."
  18. Travelling in pairs... Markus nodded as people started to break away from the meeting room. He had to be careful going out if people were watching them. Giving a sigh and pressing his fingers to his nose, the blonde considered things, leaning back in his chair. He was looking forward to going out into town. Especially with Miz. But if there's people watching them, would that be safe? Sitting back forward, Markus pulled out his phone. When he went into Round Table to contact Miz, he thought for a moment. [Hey.] He got the first message through. Now... he had to figure out an idea. Markus shook his head. [We just got released. Wanna go hang out in town for a little bit? I just gotta change.] Markus hit enter and put his phone away and stood up. He would just have to be vigilant, both because it wouldn't be fun to just sit in the ship all day, but also to not worry Miz too much. Now for things to just go smooth. He made his way out of the meeting room, and made off for his room.
  19. Jeremiah's answer was straight forward and let her go to recover. Miria gave a salute with a smile, and backed up a bit before turning herself around. She kept herself out of the discussion between him and Syndra, but she got too invested in the idea of Jeremiah going all out on Sari and Aly together. She shook her head, "Not today, I'm starving." And she took herself back over to Tanya, who seemed to still be back where they were sitting. The cub approached the cat and gave her a light nudge and a smile. "While we got some time, let's go find somewhere to eat. Maybe if we're quick enough we'll be back before training's over."
  20. After people broke away from Miria, she sat against a wall and waited a bit. She wanted more of her energy to return before she went running out somewhere to eat. Besides, more of the Tigers were going to go up against Jeremiah, and she wanted to at least be there for as much of the crew as she could. First was Gean, then Iris, Syndra and Kise. The fight with Kise was easily the most intense, and Renais was quick to jump in to help heal her. It was good to see the Arbitrator fight. The cub wasn't sure if she could incorporate anything she's seen into her swordplay, but that just meant she had to practice more. She cut it close when they dueled, which meant her she could've been easily beaten should Jeremiah had gotten serious. She got herself back on her feet, gave her arms and legs a stretch, and patted Tanya's shoulder. It was a good day, so far. Some good training, and a new couple friends. Soon enough, a meal befitting of her appetite. Hopefully. She didn't want to just dip on the training, so she approached Jeremiah, who had just gotten finished with his fight and was being healed. She put her hands together, and took a deep breath. "Jeremiah," She started, a little embarrassed she'd even ask but, "Sorry to interrupt. I know you set up training, and waited for us to gather for it, but, may I excuse myself to eat? I need it for, well, my energy," And she pointed at her necklace, clearly implying her armor. "I didn't know if you had anything else, and didn't want to just... well, bounce and not be, clear to go, I guess?" And she ended with a sigh.
  21. Markus had returned to his service dress after his excursion. He felt it the most comfy for a meeting like this, no matter how short. His hands were tented, covering his mouth as he sat and listened to his fellow crewmates discuss what Sia's group had gone through in their meeting. Despite the selfish feeling in his gut, he felt thankful he hadn't been there. A situation like the ambush could've ended poorly for him... had he lost his temper. Instead, he gave a sigh of relief, a bit of a silent prayer to himself, grateful that no one seemed to be hurt. However now, for his sake as well as for his crew, he'd have to remain vigilant, especially if the pilots were being cut loose for the day. Leaning back into his chair, Markus returned his hands to his lap. He didn't have much to add, but he kept his attention towards the table.
  22. "Absolutely. I could eat a house," Miria laughed as she got herself off the ground thanks to Roxanne's assistance. Thankfully she just needed a few minutes and she'd probably be able to function to a degree. She wouldn't be afraid to borrow the sheep again should she need it. The cub took a breath, and let Cass and Roxanne chat a bit, and Roxanne tried to underplay her talents. It seemed... odd, especially the way several people, including her, gave credit to Miria. The cub pat the sheep's shoulder, and had a soft smile, "Hey. I know I'm not magically inclined and stuff, but like, people think it's cool. I shoot a bunch of fire backwards. And I've been explicitly told that it's not supposed to work that way. And people think that's cool. Cass is right, you're super talented. And I'm super hyped up to see what else you can do." And her smile went back to her big, friendly one. She almost forgot she was exhausted.
  23. There was a circle forming of people telling Miria how well she did. She could only really nervously laugh as questions and compliments arose. It was a good moment, after the doubt that had been simmering since the ambush. She gave a thumbs-up when she noticed Renais, then turned herself to Cin, who brought up the first time she showed off her fire trick. "Y-Yeah, good thing we're not a boat anymore." She smiled, with a small chuckle. "I also got to use it in an actual fight for once." Then back to Roxanne, "I can still let you see my necklace at some point. We never know if someone else can get something out of it." Tanya offered some food after they dispersed, and she gave a nod, "You said food, say less." She stuck her tongue out, "Tell your coin purse I'm sorry." She retracted her tongue and gave a smile.
