  1. Miria gave a big smile to Gean as she arrived. It looked like the mermaid was about to fight against her uncle next. She gave her a thumbs up before returning herself to the other two she was with. "Sure, you could see it, Roxi. Though, I'm not sure it'd work for you. It hasn't worked for anyone who's seen it except me." She started to push herself backward so that she wasn’t in the way of Gean and Jeremiah. Till she was against a wall, leaving out another sigh. "As for... this," she motioned her hands around herself, trying to signify her exhaustion. "Some food and rest is all I'll need, I'll be better in a few hours. I eat a lot." She laughed, her smile back to beaming despite being so tired.
  2. Miria began to slowly let her guard down. Her explosion melted Jeremiah's blade and he started to concede. She started a small laugh, "Well, that's the trick for that. The fire is usually meant to uh... finish fights." She gave a smile, a bit weaker than normal, but that was from the exhaustion. She exhaled and released the energy that held her armor, and she was back in her regular clothes. Jeremiah's helper, Lucretia came to help and healed Miria back to healthy. "Thank you, Lucretia, I appreciate that. Yeah I..." She sighed, trying to keep herself afloat, "He's tough, even though he held back." And suddenly she was caught by Tanya, who was exclaiming about how proud she was of the cub. "O-Oh, I mean, it's a--" Then suddenly, Roxanne showed up, grabbing the cubs hands and shaling them as she also blew up with excitement. Miria started, "Oh right, well me and m-myy--" but soon enough she fumbled forward, now catching herself on Roxanne as the latter had to to her earlier. "S-Sorry! Uh," she used Roxanne to get herself down to where she was sitting on the floor. "I'm actually not sure about the magic stuff. Everyone who has been able to tell me anything thinks it's... my Shroud acting like a magic conduit. I'm not very good with magic, but my armor allows me to use it in weird ways." She laughed nervously. "And it makes me very tired."
  3. Miria was easily caught, as intended, but unfortunately, her weapon was flung from her hands. She was able to keep away by flipping backward, and keeping her distance. She had a plan. She braced her fists, and took a deep breath. "You forgot a detail. My body is my weapon." The cub charged in to attack. Her first action was to jump in for a spin kick, leaving her back to Jeremiah. She didn't wait for a critique, her back turned was the plan. Now. I need this to work wrong NOW! Miria focused herself, and released her energy, causing a massive explosion behind her, catching Jeremiah fully into the blast. It exhausted her, and she dropped to a knee, but she forced herself back up, turning around and backing herself up, her arms protecting her body. If he got back up, she was going to keep the fight up as much as she could.
  4. Miria was kicked away, and it gave her a moment. She breathed again, but this wouldn't be the stop to her assault. She ran back into the fray, and despite looking like she was ready to slice at him again she gave a slide, trying to trip up her opponent by getting his legs with hers. Following that, she swung at him, quickly rolling herself back up, and moving herself away, preparing for an attack from him again. She braced her sword in a defensive stance. I'm not gonna lose. I can't lose.
  5. Miria sat and watched intently as the duo had their fight. Roxanne's magic was so cool, and now that she wasn't the victim of it, Miria could gauge how they actually functioned as opposed to just need to keep herself from being shot by it. It gave her a chance to also see a bit of Jeremiah in action as well. It made Miria shiver a bit, but she did her best to mask that fear with excitement. It's not every day you get to test your strength against one of the strongest people alive. The cub stood as Roxanne and Jeremiah spoke to each other. If the fighting was done, made evident of Renais' healing then heading off, soon it'd be her turn to test her strength. Then, Jeremiah addressed her directly. She walked forward, and gave a determined nod. "I'm gonna give it all I've got." After her nod, she gave a bright smile. It was better that way.
  6. "Thank goodness..." Miria was grateful Renais came to help, she let Roxanne get herself back off her feet, and used her rag to try and mop up some of the leftover blood on her armor. "I'm glad you're okay." She smiled, her worry wearing off. "Renais, you are an angel." The cub laughed a little, then Roxanne asked if she was fine. "Oh, yeah. A little tired, but that means lunch will be great." Miria answered excitedly. "Man, today already feels like it'll be good. Some tough training, good food, mmm..." Miria's thought of food was cut off by the approach of Jeremiah. He was coming to pull Roxanne in to fight. Before she could answer, Miria couldn't help but request, "Mister Jeremiah, could I go after as well?" She was determined. "Um..." she let herself loosen up a little. "Sorry, you were here for Roxi first." She backed up a bit, and gave Roxanne a bow.
  7. It felt good. It was a good fight, and Miria was in the biggest high in some time. If only she hadn't been so excited. She went for a forward strike that dug it's way into Roxanne's torso. The shot that barely scraped her face effectively went ignored as the sheep fell into the cub's arms. Miria dropped her sword and caught her instantly. "Oh my god, Roxie are you okay?! Err, um..." Miria refused to let her go in case she would fall over. "Hold, just gonna," she reached into her pouch and pulled out a cloth and held it over the wound to keep pressure on it. The cub looked around as people had their training before calling out, "Hey uh... Renais!" Her best friend would be perfect. "Can I borrow you for a quick heal please?"
  8. "You got it." And the beams fired at her again. This time, Miria was ready for it. She quickly started to veer her way out of the shots, trying to gauge how they worked. This wouldn't have helped in her actually fighting, so she took initiative. Charging forward, the golden cub, took a clear shot of magic to her chest, then had her sword take a shot and bouncing away. This wouldn't bounce back into her face again. She smirked, and when in for a slash, though kept more of a distance with a shot, she wasn't trying to kill Roxanne.
  9. "Ooooooh. Kinda like my armor, I think?" Miria tried to figure out a way for her to understand what she meant. "It's like how my armor works only for me?" She nodded to herself in assurance of her answer, even before Roxanne would even say anything. After that, she assured herself she was good for another fight, giving her face a few pats. "Absolutely, I'm gonna give it my all this time, okay?" Miria went back to her starting position, and armed her sword. She was prepped and ready to go this time. "Ready when you are."
  10. Miria sputtered and shook her head back into focus as Roxanne came to heal and help her up. Miria sat up and actually gave a light snort before being caught up in a laughing fit. "Nono, you're okay," she assured the sheep. Soon enough, she rose herself back to her feet. "You caught me fair and square. Funnily, I've used the surprise from my armor a few times to get an advantage so, I was bound for a bit of karma." She pat Roxanne's shoulder, "But yeah, I think the armor should work for reflecting magic and stuff but, I don't know? It's a work in progress. But you, that thing you did was super sick. I didn't know you could like... it was like a floating gun that shot spells and stuff. Would you... Could we try that again? I feel a bit bad after knockingout that quick." She focused a bit and was immediately back in her armor.
  11. Miria smirked as they moved and got ready for their fight. Unfortunately it wasn't much of a fight. Miria charged to attack but she wasn’t ready for what came at her. It was like... some things firing magic at her, and not Roxanne herself. She did her best to dodge but... A blast caught her leg and one got her chest as she tried to get out the way. She blocked another shot with her sword... only for said sword blocking the shot to her face to reel back from the shot and hit her in the face anyway, and another stray hit blasting her backwards, and she crashed to the floor. "Ow." Was the only thing to come out of her mouth to start. Her armor disappeared and she laid there for a bit. "Poke the bull, get the horns I guess," she gave a small, embarrassed laugh.
  12. "I guess that's fair, he's supposed to be like, one of the strongest fighters in Amaranth I suppose." Miria tried to laugh off her worries, but to no avail. She was more excited than nervous anyway. Even if it was preparation for the fights getting harder and harder, it meant she could practice in a safer environment. "We'll be fine, though." She gave a smile. It was then Roxanne asked how she preferred how they fought. She thought to gauge how Roxanne fought but instead, "You know what? Actually," she focused her energy and she was in her armor in a golden flash. "Let's go as all out as we can, huh? That's how we learn best, right?" She pumped her fists with an excited smile. "We should probably find a more open spot, huh?"
  13. "Ahh, you know, I getcha." Miria nodded. She was stuck in her own issues for a bit, especially after everything that occurred with the Underground. She reached into her pouch, and pulled something wrapped up and handed it to her cat companion. "Have a bit of bread. It might not be good for now, but it's my mama's recipe. It's good for the soul." She smiled, hoping that Tanya would take it. Sometimes, food was all Miria needed as a pick-me-up, and hoped it'd work for Tanya. It was then that another person walked up. He'd been around, but Miria hadn't gotten around to meeting him. She gave him a smile. "Yeah, Miria. Koba, right? It's nice to me--" She was stopped by Jeremiah speaking up again, talking about getting in to spar with him. Miria was ready to shotgun herself in, but Alvira beat her to the punch. She was gonna fight him first, Miria would get her turn eventually. She turned back to Koba and Tanya, "S-Sorry, uhh, right. Nice to meet you." She nodded to the smaller man. "You know I'd be--" It was then another approached her, it was the new girl from yesterday. Roxanne, if she remembered, "Oh, hello. Um," She turned to Koba and Tanya, pondering for a moment. She turned back and forth for a bit before, "Sure, I can spar with you a bit." She turned back to the other two. If it's alright with y'all, I'm gonna spar a bit with our new person. Maybe we can mix and match in a bit and all spar as a group?" She gave a thumbs-up, then when back to Roxanne. "Let's do it. I wanna fight Jeremiah eventually, but... if he's stronger than Sari, I'm gonna get clapped." She laughed. "I think starting with someone more my speed will... be better to start with, y'know."
  14. "Morning Tanya." Miria responded, as she turned and waved to her friend. It had been a bit, and it was good to see the cat girl doing well enough it seemed. Her request was easy, and Miria turned her body and walked a little closer, started to ease the strap on Tanya's arm. "No problem. this is an easy fix. How's this?" She asked. "Everything okay? It's been a bit, and... I don't know, checking up and stuff."
  15. Miria brought herself into the room slowly. It was the day they'd train with Jeremiah, and she had been anticipating it for some time. Before arriving, she gave herself a quick warm-up workout then ate a hearty breakfast. She was ready. If they were practicing she was putting her everything into it. "Good morning. I hope everyone's been well," She calmly spoke as she stood next to Syndra, and gave a smile to the rest of the people in the room. It was the best she could do in the moment. She was focused and determined, and gave some deep breaths. There was going to be a huge battle coming soon, and she wasn't going to slack on training from one of the strongest people in Amaranth.
  16. Taka sat with Luce, as that had seemingly become the norm because of today. They had been very helpful at keeping the ninja company, and showing her the joys of the festivities. It was... fun. Taka enjoyed herself as best as possible. As the discussion began, Taka eyed the room as she listened, taking a drink from her cup. She was quiet, and had listened intently. Apparently, they should be looking out for the potential of Regalia-armed people at the festival. This got her to perk up an ear, and she began to speak up, "If I'm needed, I can look around. No one would know I'm there." And then she returned to her drink.
  17. Miria listened very intently at the shopkeeper as he presented the sword to her. She'd seen something about this. People called it a barrier sword if she remembered. Anything that prevented magic from making her, or really any of their swordsmen explode would make it a worthwhile grab. When asking if she was looking for anything in particular, Miria shook her head, "No I was just looking around actually, but... that sword sounds, nice..." She perked up her chin with her hand and thought. A sword that good has to be expensive, right? Miria immediately went for her coin purse and started counting what she had on hand. It was only a little over twelve-hundred gold. "Damn..." She quietly said to herself. Then, she realized she was here with Laniva as well. When she walked up, Miria waited a moment before trying to say something. "Hey, Lani?" Miria turned to her, taking a moment to let the cat turn to her. "Would you be willing to go halfsies on the sword? I can't afford it on my own, and, I think it'd really help one of us if we had it, y'know?"
  18. Taka nodded at Luce's comment, and returned her attention to Lindt. A point of a Marked who had made a name for himself as a liberator and a hero to the masses. Her tail swayed as she tried to imagine such a thing. The ninja never imagined herself as anything more than what she is. Only as the ninja that served her princess questionlessly. But she wasn’t anymore, at least for now. Could she make herself into the 'hero she wants herself to be?' That was up to time to tell. "Your story is... nice." Taka replied with a nod. "I hope to retain and think about the things you've said more." And she gave a slow nod. "Thank you for the story." She then turned to her other feline companion, to see what she had to say.
  19. Miria walked into the bazaar, and immediately the stars appeared in her eyes. "Wooooow..." Was all she started with as she gazed around and looked at all that they had in store. "My goodness, there's... so much to check, to look at, and only so much money in my pocket, aw jeez...!" She rubbed her fingers against her head, trying to make a decision. I can fight guys without issue, why is decision-making always so hard?! However, Miria wasn't one to simply give up, or wallow in her indecisiveness. She would figure things out as she went. "Alright, I got it." She said, not really to anyone, but she still said it like she had all-knowing confidence. In reality, she was gonna pick a random shop and start from there. She looked around, and gave a, "Aha~" And started walking. Once she made her way to a particular stall, she took her time before finally speaking, "Good afternoon, what do you folks have for sale over here?"
  20. Markus gave a rock-on hand sign to Louise's reply, even if she wasn't going to be able to see it, then sat back in his seat. There was a beep at the phone, and he picked it up. Miz had responded. Taking a second, he unstrapped one of his gloves and tossed it aside. If he was gonna text someone, he didn't need the gloves getting in the way. Even then, he wasn't sure how he'd respond to Miz after that. He pondered a moment, before moving to his chat with Viv. He'd at least give her the good news. [I survived. 🖖] [Doing some lookout, and we're debriefing when we actually land] [After that, you're doomed 😝] He chuckled as he sent that last message. Maybe he would be fine, if he was still able to crack jokes. That finally brought him back to his chat with Miz. He took a deep breath. He had to make sure he didn't worry her. [Don't worry, I just volunteered for overwatch, and we're debriefing once we land] Markus sighed again. He tried not to overthink this. [💖😊]
  21. Miria smiled, and gave a thumbs up to Jesse when she offered to take the new faces to meet Owen. "No problem, Jessie." Turning back to said new faces, Miria gave a nod, "Hope things go alright for you guys." She earnestly said, as she went to join the rest of her group. Miria was enamored by the city as they walked along. She similarly felt excited for some food like Amera had, but food always excited her. A good meal is healthy for the soul. Laniva brought up seeing the local bazaar, and that interested a couple others. "We have plenty of time to get food." The cub answered. "I think shopping around a bit would be fun. And bazaars hold a little special place to me." Having practically ran a bazaar, that was her life. She gave a light laugh, "So yeah, I'm down to shop before we eat. It also prevents trying to shop while on a full stomach."
  22. Markus flinched at the sudden call over comms from Louise. He had been lost in his focus, not paying attention to much else but his radar and the surface. With an exhale, he started to move his back closer towards the Dawn. How far had he gone out. "Roger, Lieutenant Park. Moving back towards the Dawn." The blonde moved back a good several meters before stopping again. It seemed like an okay distance. "Thank you again for the cover. It just... made me feel better to affirm myself that we were clear. Sorry if I worried you." He leaned back in his seat, collecting himself. Markus felt... a little better. Moving his machine further back to the Dawn, he fiddled around for his phone. Once parking it, he got onto Round Table and starting texting to Miz. [Hope everuthings's okay. Fighr's ocdr. I shojld be back soin, on parrol rn.] He hit enter without trying to correct all the spelling errors. [Sirry. Globes giving me fT finger.] After hitting enter again, he rearranged himself a bit. Aside from the panic, to him, it felt nice to fly in a real HEX, and put everything he'd learned to real work. Rosa exhaled as she made her way back to her office. She had taken cover as recommended while combat was going on, but it seemed quiet enough for her to return to her office. Once reaching the door to the infirmary, she flipped her little sign that she was open, and made her way to her desk. ID in her computer, and logged in, she grabbed the coffee mug she had left there earlier. Despite it getting cold, and spilling on her desk, she drank it anyway. She couldn't let a perfectly good cup of coffee go to waste. Once finishing it, she set it down, and went to grab her phone. There was a worried sigh as she went to RT, and began texting Markus, [Hey micky ur okay right?] [It got quiet] [Srry for being annoying i gotta make sure] [💖] She waited a moment but she soon got back, [🤙] [Can't twxt wrll. Fat fonghr be l8ke. Ttys.] "Thank goodness." She nodded. "Okay, let's clean up a bit in here, someone's bound to be on the way." Her smile returned, and Rosa was quick to start setting up rooms.
  23. Taka listened intently to Luce, following Lindt soon after. The talk of Saratara being a dangerous place was, unfortunately, new to her, as news outside of Akatsuki wasn't something the ninja really dealt with. Her concern was originally only ever protecting her princess, or doing her mission given to her. She tilted her head, going back to watching the hand Lindt had showed. "I see." Was her original response, but she took some more time to think. "I am not well educated on the world outside of home, I must admit. But I would like to see Saratara one day. I'm... s-sorry(?) if you've been force to endure trials due to Requiem," despite her flat tone, she was doing her best to try and be sincere. An ear twitched again as she tried to get words out.
  24. The woman; Roxanne, explained herself as someone who has had people hurt by Kazran. Miria watched, and nodded as she followed along as Roxanne spoke. She put her hand to her mouth and pondered. It sucked how much harder it was to just put her faith that she meant well. She very easily could've, but she also couldn't. However, she went and showed her good faith by going to Kise, and the cub eased up a bit, hiding a sigh. "...Yeah." Miria agreed with Jesse as she explained their situation to Roxanne. "Sorry, we've had an unfortunate few days, but... If you're willing help out Kise then," She gave a nod. "If you got it down, Jesse, you can take her to meet Tasha and the Gaffneys." She gave a thumbs-up to her fellow Shroud, and smiled. "Looking forward to working with you, Roxanne." And she turned back over to the new woman, giving a smile. After that, she moved over to the other new face, who was trying to commune with Ember, it looked. She wasn't going to interject just yet.
  25. Markus gave a sigh before returning to comms, "Understood, Captain. And the support is appreciated Lieutenant Park and Silvavolke." He gave a light smile even if no one saw it. A part of him didn't want to leave the cockpit only for another attack to happen. He was pretty certain he could handle himself should trouble happen, but the worry was made apparent at least in the captain. He started to slowly pace around the perimeter of the Dawn. Markus needed to gather himself just a bit more before he landed. "We're fine, Micky, we're fine..." He kept his eyes peeled, carefully watching between both his radar, and from his camera.
