In general, it wouldn`t effect my enjoyment much. While I would prefer some pairs would be canonized over others, even if the ones I don`t like were made canon it would not prevent me from enjoying the game.

That could work, the Dawn Brigade also lacks a non-light mage, since Illyana leaves the group once part I ends. That reminds me of an idea I saw a while back, someone suggested giving Laura dark magic instead of light, since Micaiah already covers that. While a neat idea, it doesn`t change that Radiant Dawn hates mages her low speed and HP leads her to die to a stiff breeze.

If they HAD to add a brother for Elincia, a way to have him not interfere with her claim to the throne would be to make him illegitimate. But I think having Lucia join earlier and highlight sibling-like relationship with Elincia would be a much better alternative. Seeing Berkut being mentioned reminds me of the suggestion for him to join so that we had a user for the Royal Sword when Alm obtains the Falchion. I really liked that idea.

That is a fair point. Looking at some of other ideas, I think having another female in the Greil Mercenaries could be neat. Making her a Sword Cavalier could even be a opportunity to make use of the unused female Sword Cavalier in Path of Radiance. A new Dawn Brigade member would also be nice. Though it could also backfire since the DB already struggle keeping up once Part 1 ends. I also like there being a new Crimean Knight to replace Titania. Maybe make her a Valkyrie so that the CK don`t have to rely on ally Bishops to heal them.

While I don`t think the idea of giving Zelgius a wife is bad in of itself, making her Ike`s older sister feels unneeded. As Berkut and Conrad have stated, it rarely works for remakes to give the lord(s) new relatives. That being said, I think there are some interesting ways a wife of Zelgius could work. In particular, I like the idea of them being married purely for show, and there being little actual love between them. This helps keep Sephiran as the most important person to Zelgius. Trying to add new Laguz types feels like it would mess too much with the current way things are set up.

My thoughts: Surprised Yunaka isn`t higher, since everyone seems to love her Shocked Pandreo is ranked so highly Interesting that Diamant ranks higher than Alfred and Ivy Kinda sad that Citrinne and Merrin didn`t make the top 25, I like them a lot Pleasantly surprised that Lapis is so high After seeing the Persona character polls, Alear being the top voted was expected

Man, time flies. While Awakening is my favourite FE game, as it introduced me to this series, I am not afraid to admit other games do certain aspects better (mainly the plot). While fun to break with Pair-Up, I turn to other games when I want a challenge. Happy birthday Awakening, thanks for making me a FE fan.

Out of curiosity, why would you WANT to raise that support knowing you`re gonna lose a unit?

Thanks to her manipulative streak and general lazyness, no, I don`t like 3 Houses Hilda (and Genealogy Hilda is even worse).

Sounds like it could work, so long as the enemy isn`t made an absolute pain to fight in "round 2".

I will agree that the health stones are a better alternative to just making bosses stupid tanky and/or hard to hit. I will also admit that they are pretty necessary late game. Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but, how does everyone feel about the life stone/extra health bars? I`m kinda mixed on them. On one hand, it helped bosses last longer, making them more of an actual threat. On the other hand, I felt they hardly had an impact later in the game.

I remember FE12 Wyvern enemies could use a fire breath attack, but I don`t remember if it was explained why wyvern mounts can`t/don`t do the same.

Now I`m curious to know where those people got that idea from.

As much I don`t care for either of them, I feel like Marnie or even Griss would have made for more interesting recruits than Mauvier. Marnie could have been given some character growth, showing she could be better than when she was a Hound. Griss would`ve been an interesting "loose cannon" ally everyone was uneasy around, but they prefer him being an ally rather than an enemy. Either scenario would`ve been more interesting than plain old Mauvier joining if you ask me. I also wish they had stuck to Veyle being evil. Having a non-possessed/controlled evil "Tiki" would have been an interesting change of pace for the series. In addition, should she still join the player`s army, now there wouldn`t be the "that wasn`t really you" excuse for her to hide behind, so characters can be genuine in their resentment of what she has done. Heck, it could even lead into a interesting redemption arc if they wanted to play that angle. Just some thoughts I had.

Guess I just missed that Fair point Guess that just shows how uninvested I was in Engage`s plot towards the end.

Now that I have finished Engage, I can share my thoughts. The last five chapters were where I found myself liking the story the least.

On one hand, A-supports work fine for giving non-Avatar characters paired endings. On the other hand, having only one final romance focused support rank helps avoid situations like Hilda hinting she wants Lorenz, only to flirt pretty heavily with Caspar in another support. Then again, S-supports can come out of nowhere and have characters suddenly confess despite zero hints prior. I once thought that A+ ranks could substitute S-supports when it comes to locking in paired endings, but it would just be the same thing under a different name. Either way, so long as we get a way to confirm paired endings I am satisfied. My main hope is that we don`t get another Engage where no one except for the Avatar gets paired endings. I do agree that it would be ideal if supports could relate more to the current story and not be so disconnected from everything. But that brings having to lock away supports until a certain story chapter.

Azama/Sakura: he annoys her a bunch, she yells at him, he gulit trips her into apologizing, while not being sorry for what he did, and this somehow leads to them marrying Alfred and Etie/Boucheron: they both pester Bouche for the "secret" to his muscles, ignoring how he just wants to be left alone after giving his answer Most Severa supports: just her being bratty/bitchy with others for no reason

Ended up finding ClannexEtie cute Despite my silly pre-release headcanon, I ended up finding Ivy and Diamant to be good friends after reading their support. And honestly? I kinda like that. Even as someone who enjoys shipping, it`s nice when a male and female character can just be friends. MerrinxChloe is a pair I didn`t expect to ship, but I enjoyed their supports together a lot. While I prefer LapisxAlcryst, CitrinnexAlcryst is also very sweet.
