  1. I can agree with you on the first thing but everyone knows Linca is the best waifu.

    Hell yeah!

On another note, I really do like Kagerou.

But I also want to see just what kind of character Blonde McGrinChin is. I get the vibe that he's striving to be heroic, brave, and strong, but in reality is a coward that won't hesitate to take credit for something he didn't actually do.

  2. "Yes, because she was forced into it... <.< It's a character. And I doubt we'll see much "crotch shots", if any, really.

    It's just a game. "

... Mate, can't I just appreciate a character , and being a bit surprised by watching the character I used to like for what he always have been, becoming like that ?

I mean I will not also suicide myself but come on, can't I be surprised a bit ?

Surprised, sure. Making a bigger deal out of it than what it actually is? Not neccessary.

Every lord with blue hair isn't Marth, okay? It's the same with Kiria/Lyn.

    In other words, chill.

    Thank you.

  3. Ummmm... I would not say that I'm "over sensitive" but more legitimately shocked.

Considering the fact that I really like Lyn, seeing her being ashamed THAT much is unacceptable.

Yes, because she was forced into it... <.< It's a character. And I doubt we'll see much "crotch shots", if any, really.

    It's just a game.

Sensitive? Nah, I just think this game('s artstyle) is a complete joke. :)

Anyways, doesn't matter since it's not canon. However, it makes for some good laughs, as I said.

The artstyle is amazing - not sure what you're on about.

  4. ...Am I the only one who actually has no problems with the designs and doesn't use the old games as a measure of standards? Honestly, if we did that, characters in the future would be stale and odd-looking, especially since when a game takes place in a different time and, well, place.

Sure, Camilla's cleavage window is a bit uneccessary, but who cares?

And I'm surprised at how people can have a problem with Hinoka's design.

Lastly, I suppose my favourite has to be:

    Hoshido: Linca

    Nohr: Marx and Gunter

  5. Oboro is a woman? It's kinda hard to tell. Too much text is blocking the portrait.

Began to look around and I have yet to find a source that states that Oboro is even possible as a male name. So I'm 99% certain that Oboro is a woman.

  6. I know this thread is about Camilla, but am I the only one who's more interested in the non-royal-family characters as possible romances? Like, Rinka/Linca, or Kazahana, or Tsubaki. Or Elfie or the blue-haired cavalier on the Nohr side, to name just a few.

I wouldn't mind if you could s-support Camilla. But I also wouldn't mind if you couldn't.

  7. Don't get me wrong; having to wait sucks. That doesn't mean you should be projecting your own rage onto other people, and throwing around personal insults.

Having to wait, and then get told by someone like shadowofchaos, who knows japanese and doesn't have to wait, to "be patient, you're just impatient, you should be glad there's only a couple of extra months wait-time" is a downright slap in the face. He doesn't even need to have patience, so who the actual f**k is he to tell others that they can't be frustrated?

Meiyu raised a valid point - we are excited for the game. That's why it's even more frustrating when year, after year, after year, after year, Europe will have to wait even longer, knowing that during that period of time, Japan and N.A are playing the game already.

This "Rey" fellow or whatever shouldn't tell others to be patient when he's not the one who has to wait. Always easy to tell others what to do, yeah?

I'm not even saying that Europe should get the game first - I just wish it could be released in the west the same time as N.A.

  8. Jeez what does it matter to you that people like us (europeans) are annoyed by the fact that it probably takes 4 months longer for us before we can play the game? Why are you so annoyed with us being frustrated about it? (it's not like we're raging about it). It just means how exited we are for the game to come out. That's why we complain, and I know whining about it doesn't exactly work but... I think we do have every right to be frustrated about it... Is that really so wrong?

And I know i can just play other games while waiting, but when you think about everyone in NA already playing the game, it's only natural to be a frustrated isn't it?

Also haven't we already proven to be patient when it comes to games? It's like this for europe with almost every game I/we look forward to.

You don't really know what it's like...

Thank you. Finally someone who understands. I never imagined shadowofchaos would, being who he is. It's easy to talk about patience when you're the one that doesn't have to wait in the first place.

Thank you for speaking for me.

I had no idea that I am incapable of waiting 4 months and keep myself busy with other things.

Please do not presume that I would react the same way with you. Life has given me patience, and not with something as silly as "the pain of a video game release date".

You are simply being impatient. That's the jist of it.

    You're starting to sound entitled.

...and not to sound rude, but your fellow European just debunked your entire rage post.

GG, Kagehoshi. This is sounding eerily similar to Airship Canon's "2nd gen marriage rights" BS with Awakening.

Must be easy to look down on others from that high horse of yours; knowing japanese and (as I understand) being able to play it right from the get-go. I say it again: if you lived in Europe and ALWAYS had to wait several months extra to play your favourite games, you would complain as well.

Let us suppose Europe got the game first before even Japan.

    What can I do? Nothing.

That's not possible - not even in a million years, so don't even try. And I've replayed my fair share of Awakening already.

  9. Hyrule Warriors doesn't have that much text (certainly nowhere near the amount a Fire Emblem games does). Also, even with the text being in japanese, it's easy to figure out what you have to do in Hyrule Warriors. In a game like FE however, it's almost impossible.

So Europe should just sit down, roll their thumbs, and obediently wait an extra 2-4 months?

Sure, HW doesn't have that much text, but it was still a new game and it came out before NA - again, it's not impossible, it can be done so that we don't have to wait to get a new game that the rest of the world has played through time and time again.

  10. I can answer that for Bravely Default.

Did you know the entirety of the scripts for all the languages was already there on Japanese re-release: "Bravely Default: For the Sequel"?

The plans to release it overseas from "Bravely Default: Flying Fairy" way before was a factor in that.

Even then there are features in that release of the game that were left "Japanese only", simply because that wasn't in the Flying Fairy release,

and wasn't localized to any of the other languages.

    Q63nen9.png

    So that point is moot.

Please don't use hearsay to justify your point since you're not fully aware of the circumstances.

You sound like you're grasping at straws considering Shadow Dragon is more the exception rather than the rule for release dates.

Maybe their focus was Europe first because it's the "roots" of Fire Emblem? Medieval setting for the re-release of the first game in the series.

There were many discussions of it on these forums even:

"Or it could be because the US release of Fire Emblem would do as poorly, comparatively, as it did last year on the Wii. It'd get eaten alive by bigger releases.

I've said this before: I like this decision, because sales numbers will likely be better after the holidays."

    http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9958

So there are reasons for that "black sheep" release.

    So really...

My point still stands that you are just being impatient.

Not to be a jerk, but you seem to lack an understanding of what fully translating a script requires.

And not every single title can and should be fitted to your timetable.

There are reasons for rushing an EU release as demonstrated.

Yet, expecting that for everything and saying "there is no reason for them" to take time they need? All of that... is just ignorance.

...or would you like a Google Translate version of the JP script?

Please, I'd love to see your opinion after playing a game like that.

Zelda is like Pokemon as well. That IP gets a lot of priority in the eyes of Nintendo.

Not to mention it's a collaborative work with Tecmo Koei and they didn't want to screw it up *AND* it's not your typical Zelda title.

They just didn't know how people would react to it.

They probably wanted to get it in people's hands ASAP before they hype died down.

That's besides the point - Hyrule Warriors has a lot of text, and it still came out before NA. It's not impossible - it can be done.

And please, don't give me that "I know Japanese, you don't understand the time needed for localization"

There really is no reason to say "Hey, Europe, you just sit there and wait and be happy about it. Mkay?" because trust me, if YOU lived in Europe and didn't know Japanese, you would be pissed as well. You would be pissed beyond belief.

I understand that Europe, with multiple languages, needs some more time for translations, but Nintendo knows that there's a big market here as well! Put some more money into it so maybe the release in the west can at least be simultaneously instead of letting Europe pick the shortest straw AGAIN.

I don't mean to come off as ranting, but it's still frustrating.

  11. I'm sure that, at best, Garon turns out to be a tragic villain - one whose motives have good intentions but he went down the wrong path about it. Not the best examples, but both Gangrel and Walhart in Awakening (if you bother to recruit them) eventually reveal that they both had good intentions for their countries, especially Walhart, but his plan to unify Valm turned into a crusade for conquest. Maybe, just maybe, Garon could be of a similar nature.

But I wouldn't count on it. It's more of whishful thinking, but I bet he's evil through and through, judging by Marx comment about him etc.

I would say the latter. From what I remember in the trailers, even Marx is skeptical of Garon's actions. Combine that with the fact that you're supposed to revolutionize Nohr from within in the Nohr route, and fight off Nohr in the Hoshido route, it seems like Garon would be the antagonist from both sides. I made a thread yesterday theorizing that both games tell 2 different perspectives from the same story, with each game being slightly different in the story, in that Kamui can only influence one path.

    I agree with this guy.

I don't see why Aqua needs to be evil. If anything, I'd rather it be the Hoshido Queen.

Nah, I seriously doubt the Hoshido woman(queen or otherwise) is evil.

  12. Reading through people's opinions and thoughts here, I realize I'm in the minority regarding what I believe will happen to the little sisters: I believe they'll die BECAUSE they're the youngest and (seemingly) most innocent. It's an easy way to try and make the story look darker.

    Totally agree.

  13. Man, if we really do have to kill the opposing members of Kamui's family, I'm gonna be kind of sad. Here's to hoping that there is SOME way to recruit all of them -- even if it's a non-canon postgame.

NO. None of that, please. Sure, the third path may allow you to recruit some characters from both sides, but not all of them! And of course you're going to be forced to kill your family on the opposite side - this game has a higher rating than previous ones, after all, so I expect some dark/tragedy moments like that.

Otherwise, what's the point of centering around choices if you're going to get "everything" either way? Most people here seem optimistic that you'll get siblings from both factions regardless of which you choose, but realistically we will most likely have to kill them off. Hence the choices, yes?

I'm open for some recruitable characters from both sides in the third path, as I've already mentioned, but that's about it. 1-3 characters, give or take.

  14. Meh, I would be happy if S-Supports came back - sure, the Hoshido royal family would be a "no-no" while Nohr(specifically Camilla) would be OK since they're not related by blood.

Again, if the S-Supports from Awakening came back, I would be happy, be it romantic relationship or marriage, I don't care. Just don't throw in children from the future.

However, I'm sure that each side will offer you a good handful of potential romantic interests; on Hoshido, you(read: Kamui) might fall in love with his supposed bodyguard, Kazahana or Tsubaki(if that's a woman... we still don't know.) Hell, even Rinka/Linca! + other characters from all 3 routes that has yet to be revealed.

So far I've only seen people refer to the royal familys, so I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned the other female characters. I'm sure they're possible, too.

  15. I think we're due for another Hoshido unit that wields naginatas, probably a footsoldier. Right now pegasus knights and Aqua are the only units we've seen with them. Knights look to be Nohr-only, with Oni maybe taking their place in Hoshido (high defense). I guess ninjas might wield them, but I doubt it.

It could be like the Soldier class in past games, except not terrible.

Most likely a soldier class - I can't think of any other that would use naginatas, but we'll see. :3
