  1. While this is FAR from definitive, the Series 4 Minerva art they showed would look generally terrible in any color frame besides red. Besides, this is a fair way to add more support. And yeah, Awakening isn't doing so hot right now and likely won't until that set. Plus, one can look forward to the fact that it'll be most likely filled with characters that didn't get cards last time, due to the fact that the first character they showed off was Cynthia.
  2. Was just about to say this. The first couple of sets are introducing the game while using the three most popular continents to get people to start playing and then they are going and introducing new builds while supporting old ones, as they need to keep people buying the sets. They have to not only get people to buy, but also get people who already invested to continue buying. Also, they shouldn't make a whole set just one color. It would be bad for trading. If there was only green this set, then only people who like Tellius will buy it and since everyone wants most cards, few will trade. I've seen this happen in CFV with boosters that only have one clan. The rare and meta cards from those sets tend to be worth more than usual since a vast majority of those who obtained them likely want them. With two (probably three, though) colors, both Fates and PoR fans will buy the set and trade away the colors they don't want for ones they do want. One starter does likely mean that the Fates cards are still Black and White. It would be healthy for this type of game to give out a starter deck whenever they introduce a new color, to help get people to start playing with said color. Without knowing how the IK side works (please, no spoilers), I suspect that these cards will make the set 25% White, 25% Black, and 50% Green with the White and Black cards facilitating a mix of the two colors, which is in contrast to the fact that the set 2 cards like to be by themselves. Would be interesting while making a new deck at the same time. And the fact that they have yet to say what the third game in the fourth set leads me to believe they are trying to build suspense for something unexpected. Best guess I have is SMTxFE, as that would be around the time they would be promoting it and would be a neat surprise. I mean, it's just, everyone expects all the FE games eventually, but not necessarily that game, you know?
  3. Cards look great! Green works well for the game. And Ike, Soren, Mist, and Lethe are all already confirmed. Same with one Mr. Black Knight. There will be a matching artwork with him and Ike battling. They showed off a sketch of it.
  4. http://fecipher.jp/item/2nd.html I take it that the card reveals are too small to translate properly? So, new promoted Xander and Ryoma in the Starter decks, along with promoted Sakura and Elise.
  5. It does? I just figured that he kept his Fates class since I can't read Japanese for crap.
  6. I removed that note, but added that you do that action in that phase.
  7. http://serenesforest.net/wiki/index.php/Zero_(Cipher) Not only that, but he's an Outlaw, not a thief. Little pedantic, but something to note, nevertheless. If anyone can give me the titles for this guy and the Azura cards, that would be most welcome. http://serenesforest.net/wiki/index.php/Azura_(Cipher)
  8. I prefer "idiot-proof" over "easier to read", just to cut down on ruling questions. Of course, one should never underestimate the ingenuity of idiots, since "idiot-proof" doesn't exist, but less people will ask about how she works. And "your opponent discards a card" may be accurate, but it could be left open to interpretation. Since the intent was to have the opponent choose what they discard, I had the effect reflect that.
  9. Okay, so when I can go on my computer (on mobile right now), I'll put down "Darkness Concealed in Youth, Nyx" with the effect being "'Reflect Curse'/ AUTO / Once a turn, when this unit is attacked and destroyed in a battle with an opponent's unit, your opponent chooses one card in their hand, and discards it." and the comments clarifying that it must be by battle and not by effect and noting that the "once a turn" is for if she is the MC (and for that matter, that wouldn't be such a stupid idea, I suppose, if one really thinks about it). Sound good to you all?
  10. Okay, to clarify, does Nyx have to be attacked and lose a battle for her effect to work? It cannot be by an effect like Gaius or Navarre? If so, I think would be best just to take some liberties and express that in her effect. Like: "'Reflect Curse'/ AUTO / Once a turn, when this unit is attacked and destroyed in a battle, your opponent chooses one card in their hand, and discards it." Would that be accurate, technically?
  11. It's fine, but some kind of translation is better than none at all, you know? It's fine. There isn't a rush, like, at all. Or at least it wouldn't make sense for there to be one at this point. Basically, in CFV, they divide abilties into ACT (you activate the skill), AUTO (ability activates in response to something, like declaring an attack), and CONT (ability that creates a state when conditions are met, like power gaining during your turn) and all this does appear to be the same in Cipher. Also, they word it to be generally idiot-proof over how most people would phrase how the skill is done. In other words, it's more technical than natural in how the phrasing is done. You should still go over how they word it, but that is the general idea.
  12. 1) Yes, and I believe her wiki entry now reflects that. 2) Yes, the support skill fails. 3) Yes, even during the opponent's turn. It is partially why Minerva is a staple. 4) I really think it is just putting a promoted unit on an unpromoted unit. The other actions are either a level up or a level down. FoW, MtG, and Pokemon has a different mechanic in regards to that. MtG nd Pokemon have you do that as an action in the main phase, rather than a phase in itself. FoW just has you tapping your Ruler to get a card from a separate deck, so it's even more different. In Buddyfight, Weiss Schwarz, Wixoss(?), and Duel Masters(?) all have you putting down a card to gain a resource of some kind and then drawing (though I did make it clear that I am not too sure about Wixoss and Duel Masters).
  13. From now on, when you do the stuff for Lackey, could you please also put it here or something? Just saying...
  14. http://serenesforest.net/wiki/index.php/Hana_%28Cipher%29 Anyone got a translation so I can finish the page?
  15. The bonds are always public to everyone at all times, so don't worry. Also, you can most certainly put face-down bonds back to hand with Nowi. Right now, that is the only way to unflip bonds, as roundabout as it is. And I did think that Female Corrin was being a tad too defensive for Black lol.
  16. I believe most agreed the way Bushiroad translates CFV seems to be a good fit for the game, especially as this shares many mechanics, but anything further than that has yet to be really agreed upon. I would have helped get the wiki using the same terms for everything already but I felt like I was the only one even trying and that doesn't do well for morale, let alone the sheer amount of time that would take from me.
  17. http://fecipher.jp/event/campaign/ Wow...feel kinda bad for anyone who dropped some money on that Chrom promo, since it'll be the promo for the second wave of demo events, as well. Not as much of a collector's item. For those who don't know, that Azura picture is of a special marker card one is allowed to use to mark their MC.
  18. I assume you're talking about SR Xander? If so, I don't quite see the issue. All I can see is that they are worded differently, but still the same effect. As for Felicia, I just forgot to give her her name when I first saw her name translated. Sorry about that and it has since been fixed.
  19. That's a typical trademark of Bushiroad TCGs, actually. The three TCGs they have released in English all have power separate from the stat that deals damage. This is noteworthy, as Cipher is mostly based off of CFV, which is the most popular game of those three (and Nontendo even explicitly admitted it). I like it, personally, as it makes it so putting all your eggs in the power basket isn't enough to get a rush in and forces one to get more creative along with allowing more variety among cards.
  20. I was just thinking that Xander combined with a ton of low costed units will make for an explosive turn and Pieri on top of that would be very hard for the opponent to come back from, but of course this is all just theory.
  21. Eh, only very few cards give a damn about color in any way and you only need one face-up bond of said color, so combining colors to get the best of both seems like a relatively easy endeavor. Weiss Schwarz uses a similar color restriction scheme and most decks there are 2 color decks. Now, I'm not saying hybrids will be the norm, but rather will likely be significant in this game as a whole as time goes on. The second most popular meta deck (Inigo Harem) is already hybrid and is sitting comfortably at at least 20% use last I heard. I can already think of a Red and Black deck where the goal is to just overwhelm the opponent in resources. Have Red use pegasi to give excellent support power while giving plusses and use Black cards to gain power and destroy opponent's units. Oh, and I already updated Xander and Kagerou with the better images already, just as an FYI.
  22. If it helps, Black seems to be hybrid friendly. I mean, neither Xander, nor Pieri require them to be class changed to use their best effects and seems easily splashable in decks that have a lot of destruction, power ups, and/or would like more destruction. At this point, White is probably the only color you don't want to do any race, I mean color mixing in (sorry, couldn't resist the joke on the ironic coincidence lol).
  23. I thought of that too, but Ryoma needs 4 or more white cards to be active, but you can settle for just that second effect, I guess.
  24. Alright, I will fix both now (I'll upload the Kagero pic soon, as I cannot do that now), but I would like another set of translators' eyes on those, just to make sure.
  25. Well, it is properly up now, as I can see. Issue is, is that he's 006, not 005, as I thought he was. Any way to rename the file? I don't see it. Yeah, sorry about that, but I had to guess 5 or 6 and looks like I guessed wrong lol. I have a feeling a coupleof the other cards I uploaded are the same.
