You are missing the point, it's not the type of magic that is the issue, it is the Job title, A noble is not a priest, Unless you are a fucking priest, you will not be liked, and viewed as a corrupt human using the arcane instead of something in the physical realm, such as Engineering, smithing, physics. The largest misconception people think, and creators of media, is Magic = Science, it not, and will not ever be. Unless you are a priest, guess what, you are hated, because he will not view your "magic" as the god's intervention, but instead using the devil's tools. And if you tell him otherwise, and convince him otherwise, you are increasing his list of things he hates, not decreasing it.

I miss the days Adept was SKILL based, it was only Speed based in RD (which makes little sense to me as adept implies knowledge which implies skill)

Hmm if we're going for ultimate weapons I got one as a funny idea, we've had ultimate Axes, Swords, Spears, Tomes etc, but how about an ultimate Hammer? Ghal Maraz: Creafted in ancient times by the name skull splitter, this hammer strike with the strength of a thousand men. Glittering in gold this weapon in itself is slightly sentient able to ignore all defenses like it is butter. Basically a weapon that does FE10's Luna, should only be an ultimate weapon
