  1. When I said that the only way this would be possible would be the outrealms, I meant it as a bad thing. Most of the fandom, or at least from what I've seen thinks that the outrealms was fun and but kinda bullshit at best and refuse to believe it even exists at worse. So you are right that it would still be a new world but we all figured the crazy time travel shenanigans and world hopping would be left behind in awakening.
  2. There's a theory going around that the first generation decided to change the names of their actual kids to differentiate from the second generation and that Odin's dark mage class isn't so unlikely. iifc Owain had an oddly high magic stat for being a myrmidon due to Lissa being his mother. If Odin is kid Owain from the final saved timeline then it's entirely within the realm of possibility that he got a chance to actually hone his magic skill (because I mean come on what kinda kid doesn't want to shoot thunder outta their arm?)
  3. I felt like the japanese voices in awakening had more diversity especially with female robin but I enjoyed playing in both languages. I'll probably switch back and forth between the languages even more so now that I know most of the voice actors now. :V
  4. Yeah but the only way this could have happened is if the outrealms were involved. The developers told us that IF would be set in a new world and I kind of doubt they would lie about it because there wouldn't be much point. Maybe I'm just being stubborn. I REALLY don't want IF to be set in the same world as awakening because I like the idea of a clean slate for new lore, new theories and new ideas in general. So I'm seriously hoping its just a reference for the awakening players and that they don't add more of the children. not!owain i mean odin's class does make a lot more sense in if tho
  5. *INCOHERENT SCREAMING* THIS IS SO SAD BUT SO GREAT DUALMIX YOU ARE A MAN AFTER MY OWN HEART I couldn't write that much because I was on mobile but you did a waay better job than I could have anyway *content sigh* I'm not some weirdo that feeds on despair or anything (just sayin), I just like the angst because it makes it a bit more realistic. Now before someone comes to me yelling about how this is a fantasy game, look I know. What I'm trying to say is that they're in a war. Not everything is gonna be sunshine and rainbows, and if IF is going to make everyone live happily ever after it's just too far fetched, even for people like us who aren't in a war. That's why I'm absolutely LOVIN' the angst. Oh man imagine if the Nohr siblings didn't understand why Kamui was so sad and Kamui just sort of shuts down for a while, because that was their brother Kamui just watched die and at one point Marx or Camilla confronts them about it, asking why its such a big deal anyway and Kamui says, "What if that had been one of you?" Kamui has two times the amount of family so TWO TIMES MORE THINGS TO LOSE. i'm making myself sad
  6. I agree with Luun that it should be much harder to allow your siblings to live, or have alternative objectives that are much harder, secret scenarios that are easily noticed if you pay careful attention. And I also like the idea that all your actions have consequences and serious repercussions for the story. I don't agree with the idea that you have to play one route to allow them to live on the other route though because it feels like you would have to pay to get the choice you want. Nohr and Hoshido should stay as their own games, I don't want to pay extra just to get the ending I desire, especially if it's supposed to be a bonus for people who buy both routes because it'll seem like both routes of IF are one game when they're supposed to be two. Also here's a little angst for all of you wanting so despair lol You're not quite sure what you've done. You don't think you want to know, but the one thing that stands out is your red gloves. Wait, they weren't red. You've never owned red gloves in your life. You notice the blood soaked in your gloves. What were you doing? Where are you? Ah that's right. You're on a battlefield. Your name is Kamui and you think you've made a terrible mistake. You remember because someone is crying out for you. The authority in the voice disappeared the moment you stabbed him, you remember, and for a while there was nothing but a painful silence. You suddenly feel heavy, the feet that you used to always feel the ground now feel like they're made of lead. You're scared as you force them to close the distance between yourself and the voice. Now they're crying you note and you can feel wet trails down your cheek as well. Like a puppet that has just had its strings cut, your knees fall to the ground and your bronze sword drops at your side. This man never cried. He would never cry, he always told you that if someone managed to force you to tears they were not worthy of them in the first place. Yet you find yourself crying too and decide he is the most worthy person person in your life. You caress his body closer to yours and break down in sobs as his voice gets quieter, death dragging him closer by the seconds and then its gone. He's gone. Your name is Kamui and you have just murdered your own brother. I imagined this as Marx when I wrote it but imagine who you like :V admittedly there wasn't a lot to work with in terms of personality though
  7. I highly doubt they wouldn't give Hoshido the screen time it needed especially when Kamui has years of memories of Nohr. Despite it looking way more in Nohr's favour from Kamui's point of view, we will be introduced to both these families for the first time so it won't really matter in the end because we as the players will have as much knowledge of Nohr as we have of Hoshido. Anyone got more angsty death headcanons? Oh or maybe angst reunion headcanons? Anything to fill the sadness meter for when I play the game. i am a terrible person
  8. *incoherent wailing* now THIS is the kind of TERRIBLY SAD ANGST I wanna see in a game. Even if someone else killed them imagine the type of commotion it could cause, Kamui screaming and crying at one of their allies while the others surround them and start feeling guilty. Takumi shoots Elise and nearly ends her life, Kamui is seen rushing to their sister's side. Elise: It hurts but...I forgive you, I know even after all this time, you never stopped loving me, right? Kamui holds her in their arms, tears threatening to spill, and as Elise's arms fall limp at her side, their despair turns to rage and they scream at Takumi. Kamui: What have you done? HOORAH FOR ANGST :V
  9. We don't really know enough to give a for sure answer but I'm assuming that the south is actually a sea? There's much less detail on it than the land part of the map. As for the ice map that we saw, do we know which path its for? Because if it isn't Nohr's map, that could imply that you won't travel a lot in the Nohr route and if it was part of the Hoshido route perhaps it's location can hint at when it comes up in the game? I'm thinking the first quarter if it's in that big mountain range through the middle? Now that I think about it having a slow reveal of how Mikoto rules the country would be good. Occasionally you could see her say or do questionable things and confront her later in the game? Maybe if in the Hoshido route, Nohr tries to surrender but she won't allow it saying it would be too dangerous to allow them to live? And Mikoto could be making really tough decisions as well to have us as the player question if what she's doing is worth the end goal. I don't really have any ideas at the top of my head for tough situations like that though.
  10. You guys are incredible.I hope it's not as unbelievable as Plegia was with the dark dragon worshipping. As in I hope there's a good reason for following one instead of the other, Grima literally ate your soul if you were a follower then he tried to end the world. Also if Hoshido and Nohr were the same country, it makes me wonder where Aqua got her magic singing voice from, does it run in the family? Was it passed down from a dragon? did she take lessons? I want a magically soothing voice too
  11. I will forever dream of the old sister I never had to trash talk ppl who were bullying me*sigh* jk although it would be nice to see overprotective older siblings. Ah yes and siblings who need help with things but would never admit it i'm lookin at you leon also I hope Camilla doesn't turn out like Tharja or something, I really do want her to turn out as a caring older sister.
  12. AH, okay I get it now, at the time we also had different gods so it would still make sense for IF and awakening to share the same world despite different gods, sorry I'm always a little slow in the uptake. I can't wait for more news though, I really want to know if Luna is a reference or actually kid Severa and if it is the same world we can find out how the other characters are doing, though it'll be a bit disappointing cos I was excited for the whole, "new world new lore," aspect of the game.
  13. Well we already have that creepy scarecrow mask, which I'm definitely going to use, that we can put on Kamui so why not? As long as we can change outfits back to the original again I don't see a problem, plus it'll be the player's choice whether they want a costume change or not so if you want things a little more light hearted, get some of the characters stabbing people in dresses instead :V On the other hand if they make it really pricey I won't be so interested anymore, I don't mind a little fun but not when the game is trying to eat a hole through my wallet, especially after those eighty dollars I know I'll spend getting all three routes.
  14. I think we all agree on the fact that awakening was supposed to be a sort of, "go out with a bang!" for the series and that they really didn't expect it to sell as many copies as it did so perhaps they didn't focus as much on plot holes as they did in trying to include everything, (marriage, children, einherjar). To be fair we didn't really get a lot of plegians and with how old Tharja and Henry appear to be they don't look like they experienced this, "dark era," at all, maybe the aftermath but I agree they didn't really talk about how it affected them.
  15. I apologize, I assumed too much about the other games and got it completely wrong. I thought all the countries in the Archanea universe would have something to do with Naga or at least know about her and in turn thought that it wouldn't make sense for Nohr and Hoshido to have their own gods. In fact the developers even told us that IF would be a whole different world but the point of my post was that it wouldn't really make sense if IF was in the same world, although my point has been completely disproven by the fact that the other countries seem to have their own gods lol
