What is the lowest turn count that anyone has completed the game? I've seen videos of the fastest time anyone has won and some videos showing fast turn counts of levels ( but these sometimes require much grinding before the actual level they are recorded in ). I was just curious what the lowest turn count completion of the game was thus far. Thanks.

First Playthrough: Danved Lyre Marcia Vika Oscar ;) Mordecai Volug Heather :D Titania Brom Well 4 laguz will make things fun and such. At least there is a decent spread of units going on. Volug can solo part 1 once available, Brom & Heather can take care of part 2 and Titania and Oscar make 3 mucho laughs. Besides Volug & Oscar I don't think I have ever brought any of these 8 to tower before hand . . . which I guess is the point.

Is it physically possible to beat Chapter 1 - P in 3 turns? This would mean Leondardo wouldn't join the team at all correct? I just watched the Vykan12 speedrunand he didn't have Edward use his entire movement every time and didn't activate crits against the boss during the first strike . . . though I don't know if it would be enough to do it . . . Not asking if its probable . . . which it isn't . . . just asking if its possible. Might play around later tonight but didn't know if anyone has done this already.

Boyd is awesomeness in a bottle especially now that I know how to play FE. My first playthrough I let Boyd perish around Chapter 24 or so . . . but picked up Largo soon afterwards and thought they were the same character . . . . I was never more wrong.

Are you telling me that when I first get haar even though he has promoted that if I take the time and only put 1 point of BEXP in him at a time it will only cost 1 point total instead of 200ish ( pure guess could be wrong ) to net him a level up . . . . that's crazy and would make stat transfer runs easier and this strategy wouldn't be any more painful that boss abusing Ena, Petrine and the likes.

Well I just 'beat' my Mage-only playthrough. I said 'beat' in the first line because I couldn't defeat the goddess with a bunch of mages . . . I'm sure I could have in theory eventually with the RNG on my side and Reyson heroning it up . . . . but with a 50 Res my post powerful unit was Tormond doubling while standing next to Nasir holding RexFlame so he could double and even then wasn't producing spectacular attack numbers. With Mantle healing her every turn and the spirits piling up I didn't see a way for me to pull out the win without assistance. Turned to my BEXPed and stat item Ike to help out the team and deal 40+ to the Goddess each turn . . . he was going to have to get the kill anyways . . . Notes: Had to cheat on 3-1 to beat the chapter. There was no way Soren, Rhys and Mist ( if you count her a mage ) would have ever defeated the chapter in time. Used a lot of meatbag shields during the chapters and took forever to finish the game . . .ended up with 805 turns. Did have a Ike x Soren Support but Ike was the only non-mage unit to have a support with anyone else. 4-6 took a while to chase the boss around the map. Top Unit was Illyana After all of this . . . I see why no one uses mages in playthroughs. Especially on 4-E-5 they can't double anything and the final 3 bosses have crazy go nuts Resistance.

I understand how to gain supports and what the different affinities end up doing. But when are supports activated? Is it the 3 space rule like in RD or is it as long as both characters on the map together? Thanks for the assist.

Who needs the robe on your team that would make it worthwhile???

I was thinking about starting the Ike FE series from the beginning with the intention of having a good data transfer when I started FE10. Which characters should I focus on during my FE9 adventure to transfer over to Radiant Dawn? Which stats are most important in those characters? How many characters can I expect to raise to 20/20? What are some general strategies to raise as many characters as possible? Who is the bestest enemy to Boss Abuse? Maybe a debate question . . . is Sothe worth the effort to you guys?

I agree with soul. I find myself gong through and trying to max as many stats as possible which requires some BEXP abuse. I keep Ike underleveled during his first few chapters because once you can start using BEXP I plan on giving him a level up after each map. I try and have as many units hover around 85+ once a map is cleared to make the most out of their level ups. If I don't see the vital stats go up then its time to reset . . . especially if I'm interested in Sothe . . . he basically needs to stay on track to cap everything ( except for Magic & Luck ) during the level up process . . .

I'm doing a mage only playthrough as well right now. I never could do 3-1 in enough turns with just Soren and Rhys. It wasn't happenining. For the River Crossing when you burn the crates I was able to make it through using Soren, Illyana and Rhys as attackers. Ike, Brom and Gatrite would run around without weapons burning crates for me. I did have to put Pass on Soren and on the 14th turn just throw him in the middle of the enemy camp in the North and hoped that he would dodge / Vantage enough foes to stay alive. Fortunately, with a combination of Bonus Transfers and dumping all my BEXP into the little guy he was pretty pumped up ( not third tier yet ) and survived . . . first time I didn't finish this map in 10 turns or so . . .

On my current Mage-Only Playthrough I did not recruit Haar during 2-P. He comes into the map and does move ( 3 times I think ) along the eastern edge of the sky. Once he is near the bottom of the map he ends up leaving the area . . . never to be seen from again. I thought he might still be a base conversation for Elincia . . . he wasn't. I thought he might join up with the GMs . . . he didn't. If you don't talk to him he won't join your team. So for the purposes of this draft playthrough only King_Soren should talk to him.
