The most recent DOTA thread was for patch 6.79, which was something like 400 years ago? I figured I'd start this thread to see who here is still interested in this game besides myself.
I'll start by posting the most recent patch notes: 6.84 or "Be relevant in a team fight or FOAD."

Also, here's 6.84b

Some basic things that came around:
-Playing Support got easier with observer wards bought in ones, Arcane Boots no longer having an activation cost, and the amazing new item: Solar Crest.
-You get less gold from creeps and more from hero kills so the patch favors carries capable of fighting early and early ganks are more common.
-Undying is ridiculous early game if he doesn't lane against Gyrocopter or Ember Spirit.
-Leshrac is the king of nukes. Pro players have been playing him as a mid/carry, and maxing lighting by 7 is really good now.
TI5 is also coming up, but the qualifiers were really boring because every game was basically Gyrocopter, Leshrac, QOP, Earthshaker, and Rubick. Vici Gaming, Evil Geniuses, Virtus Pro, Team Empire, Team Secret, Invictus, Newbee, Fnatic (formerly Team Malaysia), LGD Gaming, and Cloud 9 were directly invited; Na'Vi, CompLexity Gaming, EHome, and MVP Hot6ix won their respective qualifiers.
So, who all still plays?
