  1. I wondered this myself as well. I think Fates actually had a really poorly written story. Other than being the heir to the Vallite Throne, I have not seen anything from Corrin that would make him a leader that anyone would follow. His family notes that his trust in others is what makes him a leader. But how many times do you have to be betrayed before others start to question your ability to trust trustworthy people? They need bring back Lords like Eliwood, Hector, and Ike. I really think that after Radiant Dawn, the story of Fire Emblem games has been on a decline. Awakening wasn't too bad, but the story was pretty bland at times.
  2. Yes, Point Blank will allow Spy Yumi to attack at 2 range. Point Blank is incredibly broken. Yumis already have the highest MT of all Weapons on top of the +2 Res boost and range. Give it to a Sniper with Vantage, Awakening, and Vengeance and you have a pretty broken unit.
  3. I don't think that IS would ever rewrite the story. I agree 100% that Awakening and Fates' stories were lacking. Their story seemed dull and I felt like the writers just rushed and threw anything out into the story to finish it. I feel sad to admit but... The waifu game was more enjoyable than the story. In my opinion, they should do away with the MC being a Customizable Avatar. Have the avatar be a supporting character like Mark was in Fire Emblem Blazing Sword. I really don't see a point in the MC being the Avatar if his story and personality is not unique to the player. If Fire Emblem would want to have a MC Avatar, they should take notes on games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, etc. The Avatar is supposed to be a game version of ourselves, but that doesn't feel true he has the same script for every single player that plays the game.
  4. Unit: Ryoma. He's the most balanced character in the game and can take on hordes of enemies at once.
  5. I don't see anything wrong with the images posted. Yes, 1st Gen Units other than Mozume can't legitimately have Aptitude, but that doesn't mean just because a team has Aptitude on their 1st Gen Units that they are hackers. I bought Aptitude for my Units through other's castles. Does that make me a hacker? Aptitude skill should be the least of your worries. With Eternal Seals, you can max your characters without aptitude. You should be worried about the ones with enemy only skills and weapons like Dragonskin and +7 1-2 Range Enemy Only Weapons.
  6. If you ever do Conquest Ch 21 on Lunatic. You will wish there were more Dragon Veins.
  7. What worked for me was: I sent Felicia (with Felicia's Plate, if you have it) to the left to take care of the Bandits, while using Nyx to weaken them with Fire Orb. Once they are killed, I pull Felicia back to help with healing and picking off enemies from a distance. I sent Odin (who I reclassed to a Dread Fighter early in the game to increase growth and stats + Crazy long name shuriken for extra crit) and Artur (Hand Axe) to the right to fight off the Archers. I used Effie (with Defensive Formation) to guard the breakable wall with a Pieri's Lance (for Criticals) or Javelin if you don't have it. Silas (Nohr Sword) paired with Corrin to guard the right opening on the barrier. I left Zero with the ballista and snipe enemies trying to break through. I leave Elise on standby with Freeze, Rescue, and Heal as needed. Aqua just for giving units another turn at attacking/healing/support. Once Camilla shows up, I use her to defend the middle. I send Belka and Selena to the left side. I leave Belka around in the water to the right, for the Pegasus that try to break through the defense. Selena takes care of the Bandits. I think I started to get overwhelmed around Turn 9. I pulled back most of my units and started picking them off one by one, trying to avoid getting cornered by multiple enemies. This is the gameplan that worked for me and for the units' levels that they were currently at. It might not be what will work for you, but adjust accordingly. Push unit through enemy defenses, then pull back once reinforcements show up to avoid getting attacked multiple times. Just wait until you get to Chapter 17. Right now, that's the hardest chapter I've played.
  8. If you don't grind too much, you will find that Birthright is still pretty challenging. Try playing Birthright on Lunatic.
  9. Am I the only one that likes to use Effie? She is one of my most reliable character in Lunatic. Her high STR combined with her personal skill will cut down enemies like butter. She's also has pretty good SPD growth for a Knight and will prevent most enemies from attacking twice with the exception of faster units, but those won't deal much damage to her.
  10. There's a way that I farm for stat boosters. I farm around 200k from the Gold DLC, then I search for enemies on the map. I search every location until I find an enemy whose leader is either a Ninja/Elite Ninja or a Outlaw/Adventurer. Those classes will carry either a Staff, Seal, or even stat boosters. I currently have 79 Stat Boosters, not including the ones that I already used.
  11. Even though all her stats are capped. She is still very vulnerable in a map full of Berserkers, she was taking 14-18 dmg so I had to rush to get her. She does move around through the stairs, which can get pretty annoying if she runs right into a group of Berserkers. But it is a very easy map to clear. I'm looking forward for other players to get skills for her so I can buy them from My Castle.
  12. Personally, I wouldn't use Subaki just because of his poor growths. But if you're determined to get Matoi, then it's up to you. Units that I always deploy: Camilla - She's awesome, but I reclassed her to a Wyvern Lord. Sakura - She has very balanced, you will usually see +5/8 level ups. Also, as a War Priestess, you can give a Bright Bow which deals Magic Dmg to get the most out of her. Ryouma - Very dodgy and Raijin is a very good weapon. In hard mode, I would throw him in a fort with hordes of enemies and he would always wipe everyone out. Suzukaze - Mage Killer. However, he's very fragile to Ph Dmg. Takumi - Will deal a crazy amount of damage to anyone but is very squishy. Leon - Probably the best mage. Slow though, has Spd Cap of 26(I think?). Hana - High Str but very squishy. Since she's going to be squishy regardless, I gave her Line of Death, Vantage, Miracle, Swordfaire, Warrior Katana +2, Armourslayer (to take out Generals because I don't have many mages in my team). It may not be the best set up for Hana, but it has worked so far on Hard with no grind.
  13. This new map makes me miss Haar. You could let Haar loose and he would clear the entire map by himself.
  14. Yes, just like Lucina's a Great Lord but still has her Lord battle animation and Robin's a Grandmaster but still has his Tactician battle animation.
  15. How hard is it compared to the last DLC? That one was extremely hard. Took me 5 tries to beat it.
