  1. That also took a while to find again But yes, I was wrong, it's not replaced by the green one as I thought. ... and this is also a thing now when you game over :
  2. Weapon thingie updated with all I've found so far (staves were just added and are WIP) : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ic4UjGH84aCN9-TWKJpeVwbYy4QngGHPw8pueuHtQ9k/edit?usp=sharing Something seems to be up with martial arts, the numbers don't match, I think they may not use Str for damage, but Mag is unlikely too... Might be 1/2 Str... Will be looking into it. Also we're shown what the emblem infusion, or at least some more of them, do to weapons. I had Marth mostly right, pat on the back : Marth : +1 Mt, +10 Hit, +10 Crit, +5 Avo, +5 Ddg Sigurd : +1 Mt, -1 Wt, +20 Avo (no +move, you may point at me and laugh, kiencoqusi:)) Celica : -1 Mt, -1 Wt, +50 Ddg Micaiah : -3 Mt, -1 Wt, +40 Avo, +20 Crit Avo None of those make any sense (well, Marth as an all rounder is fine), but hey. Also Micaiah's staff skill is replaced by another when it comes to inheritance, confirming that that's a thing
  3. Oooookay that only took three hours. Thanks for compiling them however, everyone. I think the time has clearly passed for in-depth written analysis (good luck Vincent, by the way), so I won't go in too deep. What I can say is that I'm really happy about the roaming actually being in every single chapter as I had genuine trouble believing it. Clearly we won't get to visit buildings or anything, but this is a huge step in the right direction, and of course, draws from Shining Force. I think I've actually been asking for that for twenty years. The plot I believe is obviously setting up something big and people are assuming it's simple a bit too fast, but we'll see. As I feared we had seen the vast majority of classes already, and there aren't that many unique ones this time around. Prepare yourselves, unless this is not the whole list people are going to complain about this until the next game. Also advanced class skills seem extremely unbalanced, which is not necessarily a bad thing since they're stuck on them. Jean does exist and he's our villager, that's nice.
  4. Thanks! That's a choice all right... Idk, those have generally been pretty accurate. This one also has a "strike a pose" vibe that isn't there in the original.
  5. I'm really not sure what her summon pose is supposed to reference. Also they gave her a... cutesy vibe ? I don't really think that fits... Anyway, we already knew basically everything about Micaiah, so, yeah, no big surprises here. Clearly they wanted a staff emblem in here, but I can't complain that it's not fitting this time. That's a good question... I don't recall ever seeing this. Also Canter doesn't activate after lighting that torch. Staff range is often locked in Engage, no amount of Mag will push that Physic, Warp, etc range beyond 5 as far as we know, but she can. Plus some staves don't require magic to be useful either. Finally, almost no emblem gives +Mag as a bonus... in other words, she's kinda useful on anyone, beyond potential type bonuses we don't know about. Iceblock seems really good by the way, 10 uses and inexpensive if I recall? Although I guess Corrin can just generate a billion of those as well Yunaka's dagger(also Merrin's) seems remarkably strong. Since it appears thieves start at S-rank, I wonder if we'll just be able to dump all our money into a super knife early on.
  6. Honestly it's been a minute, but I don't remember them doing much of anything at all. Judging from this thread, we didn't know what most characters sounded like in english 14 days before release: ... and to the contrary of Engage, 3H had a 2 years long pre-release period.
  7. I can't emphasize this enough : They did basically the same thing for 3H. It was agonizing back then. ... although they are very much running out of time here. I think they started diving in a bit under a month before release last time.
  8. The juxtaposition is even funnier than last time, honestly. Not because NA updates less, I think it's pretty close on that front, it's the tsunami that JP twitter hit us with that stands out. Still, to think I was optimistic at one point, geez... At least this leaves plenty of room for a direct. Maybe.
  9. Sike, no new tweet it seems. Sooo regarding that Céline shot with A rank staves unpromoted and the theory that it's thanks to Micaiah, do we have any reason to think that it's even possible to be synced with an emblem while in Somniel? That's clearly the armory backdrop in those shots. ... that being said, there is the possibility that Céline has simply inherited that skill from Micaiah still. I'm just surprised everyone's jumping to the synced conclusion at the moment.
  10. We may or may not have another class that specializes in arts is the thing. High priest very likely isn't it. And, that'd leave us with no promoted Qi gong class either. In general both daggers and arts have very few distinct classes that we know of at this point, same for Covert and Qi gong.
  11. My message was theoretical only, to be honest. ... that being said, if I were to voice an opinion... I mean... there sure is a lot of Awakening and Fates in Engage already... and I do mean it when I say this is all or nothing; the explanation for those incredibly massive coincidences has to basically be about the very nature of the world. At this point Elyos is either... special, or, yeah, "practical". Okay, that Atk stat two levels lower is more like it, guess I overestimated the Compact axe. ... then again she's being weighed down considerably harder than Boucheron, so she may not have much of a choice.
  12. I know, but that still leaves the question of whether this is a purely practical setting that doesn't really make any sense (like Awakening's and Fates'), or if there's some explanation to it all. I don't think there can be much of a middle ground at this point. I actually couldn't remember if Lapis had been shown off on Twitter yet. There's not been much talk about her, but she's got the makings of a fan favorite.
  13. At this point this seems to be a... happy coincidence, of sorts. I'm saying this because we've seen emblems as the boss of these maps, specifically the emblem these maps reference. Of course it would make zero sense for Elyos to randomly contain all of these locations, so either IS really, really, REALLY didn't care at all... or something's up with this whole place. ... also the bridge likely isn't meant to reference the pitfall bridge at all. At least not nearly as directly as the others.
  14. Nah, she's level 7. Wouldn't want to base too much on her lv 20 Warrior stats either, but they don't seem amazing. Although her Mag(20) is pretty remarkable. Lots of HP too.
  15. This was a tweet; let me find it real quick... I've updated the weapon stat thingie with the new information I've seen. If anyone sees something that's missing, do tell, I'd appreciate it.
  16. - Ike's first synchro skill raises Def and Res by 5 whenever you're under 75% HP. - The hammer(Ike's at least) is stronger than a silver axe, but that's explained by it being a heavy weapon, aka it attacks last, cannot double, and inflicts Smash when you initiate. - Presumed stats are 18 mt, 55 Hit, 0 Crit - Ike's engage skill, as we've known, puts your character at 0 Avoid and halves all damage received. If a dragonborn, you take 10% less damage than that(presumably they mean 40%). - His engage attacks seems to raise Def by 10 and Res by 5 during the turn where you take all attacks. Then it seems to be a regular Aoe at the start of player phase, although I'm not entirely sure of the value healed. It may be 30% of damage capped at 10. And as kienquocsi said, it seems restricted to Axes and Swords(or at very least, no Lances), which I'm assuming is generally a thing for engage attacks. Weapon restrictions I mean. - We're also shown that chain attacks are basically the only danger for the characters in that footage. Their damage doesn't seem reduced by Ike's damage halving skill either. Lv 1 Bond Ike seems to boost HP, Str, and Def. The cape physics in Roy's and Ike's summon animation look quite whack. The cut in Ike's is abrupt too, just like with Lucina. We see promoted Boucheron, and Sword Knight Yunaka, whose armor is golden for some reason. Haven't we seen enemies double the Smash user before they got to act ? I can't quite remember where, but I think that's happened?
  17. So after looking into it a bit more, it would seem that chain attack damage is based on enemy max HP. Specifically, every hit deals 10% of the enemy's HP in damage, rounded down, and as we've known, they always have 80% accuracy. I've looked at all the chain attacks clips I'm aware of (so like, 12 of them), and it matches in every single one, with a couple iffy cases where I had to count pixels. I think that's what it is. If that's correct, there's no point trying to build units around it, but having capable characters equipped with the longest range weaponry they have will be advantageous. A bit like in 3H really, except it's damage for everyone this time around. Makes me wonder if siege tomes will be back. Not too sure considering we have infinite durability. None of those have been confirmed yet.
  18. Promotions do seem super weak from that footage, based on his Axe fighter stats, promoting to Berserker would give him 3 HP, 2 Bld, 4 Str, 1 Dex, 1 Spd, 1 Def, 1 Res. And 1 Move of course. I mean the Str bonus is nice, but...
  19. To be fair, there are examples of units with more move than they should with no explanation whatsoever, so if they cheated there, it's not impossible that both times we saw units with Sigurd!Elthunder with additionnal move, it was only a coincidence. And yet...
  20. Ok, explains why the emblem bonuses didn't show up as buffs; the process changes the weapon completely. And, it is just one weapon at a time. Not a bad idea on paper, though those are some strong bonuses. Avoid stacking is going to be insane in this game. Think this also soft confirms that the Sigurd crest makes a weapon give 1 move(and a few other things). Though on paper I'm not sure how that will work. Also the forging into higher tier weapons is back from echoes. Hope it's a little bit more balanced this time, I just replayed through it and that is one very busted game. Lucina's engage skill sounds completely broken, unless I'm missing some caveat.
  21. I guess I'm not, but considering he does gain 5 Str and this seems more like Awakening reclassing(aka there's no loss of stat, you just go back to level 1)... Doesn't seem like it. Could be something else, though.
  22. A lot of HP, a lot of Str, pretty good Bld... very low everything else it seems since all the rest gets lowered when class changing from Paladin to it. Won't try guessing them specifically from this, though, too slippery.
  23. That emblem mark (Marth's) definitely seems to boost accuracy. From other footage I also think it gives a bonus to crit and crit avoid, though obviously that's not seen here. Still wonder how we even apply those, and why we don't see them as stat buffs at all. Assuming I'm not out of my mind. Video only seems present on 3 of Nintendo's close to 30 Youtube channels. Pretty random. Hopefully the internet keeps interneting because I kinda don't want to check all of those every day!
  24. Uh. So we could... walk around after grinding monster battles too, perhaps, and that's where those items would randomly show up, post-battle? ... because if it's only after story battles, that's potentially not going to matter much.
