  1. Okkkk sick of the fighting so here's your breakdown: Why don't we keep a change log? Because we don't want to. We don't see a point in doing so. Also cause no one would make their own estimates, we know that from past experience. Why aren't we transparent? Because when we were, our work was sabotaged by a user named Adam Apple, and we also received a lot of shitty translations and whatnot. So we don't. We keep our work private. If you want to implement the translations, please feel free to do so. We also do that. Why is it taking so long? Because there's around 1,100 damn supports. And also, like we've mentioned before, pretty much all the members on the team are burned out, or occupied with life. Here's a breakdown: BrunhildeKnight is about to enter college. Iris works as a full-time interpreter in Tokyo, and has no time to contribute at the moment. PotatoPower has a job, and spends his free time playing games. KentoBento is a university student and has a job. Orange is busy with his job. Master of Memes is also a university student. I'm also about to enter college and have my own preoccupations at the moment. If anyone wants to argue that we don't have the right to spend our time the way we want to, then you can leave. If you think you can do it better, then please do. We're not an official team translating this, we're just a group of random netizens. And we really don't care, and would rather like it if someone else did it. And in fact, the consensus will likely to be drop the remainder of this project and allow someone else to take our work. None of the translators (I myself included) see a point in continuing, because we don't care, and the fanbase doesn't either.
  2. Partial name patch released - Main story and status screens. The reason we don't have supports done yet is cause we have to recompress individually. There's 1.1k files to recompress. Yeah.
  3. The patch adds whatever patch you downloaded, lol. And the fan-translation is not available as of yet.
  4. Team If unmerged with the DGS/GAA team. Several members are just active in both.
  5. The actual project has been "transferred" over to the newer members, the more veteran members are all stopping as of now. That's just supports btw. It's possible. (We don't care about the NA version to do it though.)
  6. To be fair the patcher wasn't ever intended for HANS to begin with, SciresM made it for us so our English fanslation would work on CFW (because HANS didn't exist at that time). There are already romfs builders, so we don't see why we should use waste time building one of our own.
  7. Assuming I read your English right, you don't need the patcher if you're not using a cfw. And the xorpads you have to generate yourself.
  8. Doesn't matter, they can't play the translation anyways. No need to help except saying it won't work.
  9. Btw, if anyone needs/wants a Gateway card for 9.2 cfw users, I have an unused one I'm selling. The original buyer just kinda....died.
  10. The text box labels and dialogue name references are all hard coded (manually per instance). Just use notepad++ or write a simple script to replace all instances of one word with another (on NP++ include subdirectory references) and you should have a name patch.
  11. Unless you're able to decrypt the DLC, change the files, build a custom cia and reencrypt, all of which takes an advanced hacker to do (which you clearly are not), don't even bother with it. The only real way to patch the DLC at the moment is via a custom cia.
  12. The tutorial is coming. Our writer who's working on it got caught up in his job.
  13. Delete your post, immediately. Piracy is not tolerated by the group OR Serenes Forest. Posting links from ROM sites is forbidden on Serenes Forest.
  14. Your actual ability to decrypt and patch the DLC is all that would stop you. Seeing as you don't seem to know how to do it, it's highly inadvisable to try until you've attained a higher level of hacking. No. The English patch only changes the text into the game. It does not affect any region functions, so you'll need a Japanese 3DS, or EmuNAND region-changed 3DS, or etc.... Wifi/Spotpass becomes unavailable if you're patching using HANS. What menu patch from the other thread? This is the English fan-patch thread. The restoration patch is for Fates only, and it doesn't have anything to do with the menus.
  15. Yup. Homebrew even lets you access the eshop on a lower firmware. Though also, we don't support piracy, so you'd better buy it. :P It's referred to as Invisible Kingdom most of the time in the files.
  16. The dual audio issue is only because of a presumed licensing problem with Renka's song in Japan. Japan's music licensing system is pretty shit, so...
  17. See op: Tutorial for HANS users in works. OoT is Ocarina of Time (the game), .cia is a type of installer file for the 3DS (think stuff downloaded from eshop), and CFW is a custom firmware that people under 9.2 can use to, well, "enhance' their 3DS. If you're a beginner we recommend HANS, which is a Homebrew option.
  18. Called it "if' cause it's the Japan region :3 But the pre-order bonuses <3 http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B01CNWD7PM Note: You can purchase this from Amazon.co.jp and have it shipped to a Western address. Will require an account to be made, but an English version of the page is available for y'all who don't read Japanese.
  19. Would not recommend, but it needs testing. Hopefully a fellow forum follower here will do it, cause I don't think any of us intend to.
